2Construction of chimeric inducible promoters by elicitors of rice fungal blast pathogen and their expression in transgenic rice显示文摘The promoter fragments of wheat GstA1 and potato Gst1 have been amplified by PCR, cloned and fused respectively to the minimal promoter sequence of rice actin gene (Act1)) and its 5’ untranslated leader sequence together with GUS. The constructs with 2 chimeric promoters (WGA and PGA) have been transferred into rice in order to analyze their inducibility patterns in transgenic rice plants. 5Numerical simulations of seepage flow in rough single rock fractures显示文摘To investigate the relationship between the structural characteristics and seepage flow behavior of rough single rock fractures,a set of single fracture physical models were produced using the WeierstrasseMandelbrot functions to test the seepage flow performance.Six single fractures,with various surface roughnesses characterized by fractal dimensions,were built using COMSOL multiphysics software.The fluid flow behavior through the rough fractures and the influences of the rough surfaces on the fluid flow behavior was then monitored.The numerical simulation indicates that there is a linear relationship between the average flow velocity over the entire flow path and the fractal dimension of the rough surface.It is shown that there is good agreement between the numerical results and the experimental data in terms of the properties a of the fluid flowing through the rough single rock fractures.Qingang Zhang Yang Ju Wenbo Gong Liang Zhang Huafei Sun 2015Petroleum2015,1,3:5
6Optimal control on special Euclidean group via natural gradient algorithm显示文摘Considering the optimal control problem about the control system of the special Euclidean group whose output only depends on its input is meaningful in practical applications. The optimal control considered here is described as the output matrix is as close as possible to the target matrix by adjusting the system input.The geodesic distance is adopted as the measure of the difference between the output matrix and the target matrix, and the trajectory of the control input obtained in the process is achieved. 7Computational and Experimental Study of Cooling Process in Coke Dry Quenching Experimental Shaft显示文摘Owing to its merits in energy savings, environmental protection and coke quality improvement, the Coke Dry Quenching (CDQ) technology is favorite in coke making industry today. In order to validate the mathematical model developed for the cooling process of real CDQ shaft, the one-seventh scale experimental setup was established. With the air as the working fluid and the coke as the packed bed, the coke and gas temperatures and the pressure drop in the cooling shaft were measured. A mathematical model based on the non-Darcian and non-thermal equilibrium model for the cooling process of the CDQ experimental shaft was presented. The computational results were compared to the experimental data. 8Mathematical Model for Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer in the Cooling Shaft of Coke Dry Quenching Unit显示文摘A mathematical model based on non-Darcian flow and two-phase model is developed for fluid flow and heat transfer in the cooling shaft of Coke Dry Quenching (CDQ) unit. The potential flow model is employed to simulate coke descending. Governing equations are solved by the SIMPLE algorithm on the collocated, non-orthogonal and body-fitted grids. The velocity of circulating gas and the temperature of coke and gas are obtained to study the effects of coke size distribution on flow and heat transfer behavior in the cooling shaft. It is found that the non-uniformity of gas velocity and the unevenness of coke temperature in the radial direction can be reduced if coke size distribution is improved. 11Research Progress of the Algebraic and Geometric Signal Processing显示文摘The investigation of novel signal processing tools is one of the hottest research topics in modern signal processing community. Among them, the algebraic and geometric signal processing methods are the most powerful tools for the representation of the classical signal processing method. In this paper, we provide an overview of recent contributions to the algebraic and geometric signal processing. Specifically, the paper focuses on the mathematical structures behind the signal processing by emphasizing the algebraic and geometric structure of signal processing. The two major topics are discussed. First, the classical signal processing concepts are related to the algebraic structures, and the recent results associated with the algebraic signal processing theory are introduced. Second, the recent progress of the geometric signal and information processing representations associated with the geometric structure are discussed. From these discussions, it is concluded that the research on the algebraic and geometric structure of signal processing can help the researchers to understand the signal processing tools deeply, and also help us to find novel signal processing methods in signal processing community. 16Preparation and characterization of a metered dose transdermal spray for testosterone显示文摘The objective of the present work was to develop a metered dose transdermal spray(MDTS)formulation for transdermal delivery of testosterone and to characterize its efficacy.Testosterone release from a series of formulations was assessed in vitro.Skin from hairless mice was used in permeation experiments with Franz diffusion cells.The spray pattern,pump seal efficiency,average weight per metered dose and dose uniformity were evaluated.An optimized formulation containing 10%(w/v)testosterone,9%(v/v)azone and 91%(v/v)ethanol was based on good skin permeation and acceptable drug concentration and permeation enhancer(PE)content.A skin irritation study indicated that the formulation was non-irritating in a rat model.An in vivo pharmacokinetic study indicated that the optimized formulation showed a different plasma concentration-time profile from that of the commercially available product Testopatchs.The Testopatchs product demonstrated a more sustainable drug release.The evaluation of the testosterone MDTS indicated that it could deliver reproducible amounts of the formulation per actuation.The results obtained showed that the MDTS is a potential alternative therapeutic system for transdermal testosterone delivery.Wangding Lu Huafei Luo Yubo Wu Zhuangzhi Zhu Hao Wang 2013Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2013,3,6:1

20Application of gradient descent algorithms based on geodesic distances显示文摘In this paper, the Riemannian gradient algorithm and the natural gradient algorithm are applied to solve descent direction problems on the manifold of positive definite Hermitian matrices, where the geodesic distance is considered as the objective function. The first proposed problem is the control for positive definite Hermitian matrix systems whose outputs only depend on their inputs. The geodesic distance is adopted as the difference of the output matrix and the target matrix. The controller to adjust the input is obtained such that the output matrix is as close as possible to the target matrix. We show the trajectory of the control input on the manifold using the Riemannian gradient algorithm. The second application is to compute the Karcher mean of a finite set of given Toeplitz positive definite Hermitian matrices, which is defined as the minimizer of the sum of geodesic distances. To obtain more efficient iterative algorithm than traditional ones, a natural gradient algorithm is proposed to compute the Karcher mean.
