| 3 | Grain nucleation and growth behavior of a Sn-Pb alloy affected by direct current: An in situ investigation显示文摘In situ synchrotron X-ray radiography was used to study the effect of direct current(DC) on the grain nucleation and growth of Sn-50 wt.%Pb alloy. The results showed that applying DC adequately during solidification could effectively enhance the grain nucleation and inhibit its growth. Imaging of comparative experiments with varying DC intensity indicated that the final grain size, determined by the competition between grain nucleation and growth, was sensitively dependent on the DC intensity. It was found that the average grain size was decreased from 1632 to 567 μm with DC density of 1.5 A/mm^2 compared to the case without DC. | 4 | Microstructural characteristics and mechanical behavior of B4Cp/6061Al composites synthesized at different hot-pressing temperatures显示文摘B4Cp/6061Al composites have become important structural and functional materials and can be fabricated by powder metallurgy and subsequent hot rolling. In this work, the effects of the hot-pressing temperature on microstructures and mechanical behaviors of the B4Cp/6061Al composites were investigated. The results showed that compared with the T4 heat treated B4Cp/6061Al composite hot pressed at 560℃, the yield strength and failure strain of the composites hot pressed at 580℃ were increased to 235 MPa and 18.4%, respectively. This was associated with the interface bonding strength between the B4C particles and the matrix. However, the reaction products, identified to be MgAl2O4 phases, were detected in the composites hot pressed at 600℃. The formation of the MgAl2O4 phases resulted in the Mg depletion, thus reducing the yield strength to 203.5 MPa after the T4 heat treatment due to the effect of the solid solution strengthening being weakened. In addition, the variation of hardness and electrical conductivity was mainly related to the Mg content in the matrix. | 5 | Three dimensional microstructures and wear resistance of Al-Bi immiscible alloys with different grain refiners显示文摘The three dimensional(3D) microstructures of Al-Bi alloys with different grain refiners(Al-5Ti-B, Al-3B and Al-3Ti) have been studied using synchrotron X-ray microtomography. The relationships between the microstructures and the corresponding wear behavior are verified through the friction and wear tests. The worn surfaces of the samples with grain refiners tested under 15 and 60 N loads are analyzed using Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM). The results indicate that the addition of grain refiners is beneficial to the size and distribution of the Bi-rich particles in Al-Bi alloys. Compared with Al-5Ti-B and Al-3B grain refiners, the Bi-rich particles are more uniformly distributed and spherical with finer size with the addition of Al-3Ti grain refiner. | 9 | Operando Converting BiOCl into Bi_(2)O_(2)(CO_(3))_(x)Cl_(y) for Efficient Electrocatalytic Reduction of Carbon Dioxide to Formate显示文摘Bismuth-based materials(e.g., metallic, oxides and subcarbonate) are emerged as promising electrocatalysts for converting CO_(2) to formate. However, Bio-based electrocatalysts possess high overpotentials, while bismuth oxides and subcarbonate encounter stability issues. This work is designated to exemplify that the operando synthesis can be an effective means to enhance the stability of electrocatalysts under operando CO_(2)RR conditions. A synthetic approach is developed to electrochemically convert Bi^(O)Cl into Cl-containing subcarbonate(Bi_(2)O_(2)(CO_(3))_(x)Cl_(y)) under operando CO_(2)RR conditions. The systematic operando spectroscopic studies depict that BiOCl is converted to Bi_(2)O_(2)(CO_(3))_(x)Cl_(y) via a cathodic potential-promoted anion-exchange process. The operando synthesizedBi_(2)O_(2)(CO_(3))_(x)Cl_(y) can tolerate-1.0 V versus RHE, while for the wet-chemistry synthesized pure Bi_(2)O_(2)CO_(3),the formation of metallic Bio occurs at-0.6 V versus RHE. At-0.8 V versus RHE, Bi_(2)O_(2)(CO_(3))_(x)Cl_(y) can readily attain a FEHCOO-of 97.9%,much higher than that of the pure Bi_(2)O_(2)CO_(3)(81.3%). | 14 | Development and application of knowledge-based subject group integration platforms:A case study of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics,CAS显示文摘Purpose:According to the different requirements of research group users,we established the knowledge-based subject group integration platforms of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics,the Chinese Academy of Sciences(abbreviated as SIC CAS hereinafter),which were designed and constructed to better meet the needs of CAS research groups for their development,collaboration and communication.Design/methodology/approach:We first identified the requirements of users via preliminary investigation,and then chose CASI1 P,iLibrary and XKE technology,respectively as the building tools compatible with the major demands of users.These steps helped us complete the layout design of SIC CAS integration platforms,as well as its knowledge organization and integration.Findings:According to the need of users,we applied three types of platform construction technologies to five SIC integration platforms,and formulated standard norms for the further construction process,which could provide useful reference for a sustainable development for the extensive construction in CAS institutes.Research limitations:In order to make the SIC integration platforms more intelligent and have more functions,we need to enlarge the scale of the Platforms and upgrade the building tools for the platform construction.Practical implications:The nature of SIC sub-project integration platforms is to construct a content-sensitive environment which can embed knowledge services and knowledge applications seamlessly into scientific activities,so the Platform is expected to be a useful tool to help researchers better understand the recent development of the research field and form collaborations with their peers.Originality/value:SIC integration platforms are the only pilot construction that used 3different platform technologies in the first batch of knowledge-based subject group integration platforms of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.The construction is user-centered throughout the whole process,namely,from the technology selection,content construction to the sustainable development of the platforms,which are all based on user requirements.During this process,we have not only established sustainable mechanisms for both the personalized feedback and security management of the institutional knowledge of SIC CAS,but also formed a service team for the sustainable development of SIC integration platforms. | Yu LIU Jian FU Huijun ZHENG Hao CHEN Zhiping YANG | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Library and Information Science2014,,2: | 1 |

| 19 | Aldolase A promotes proliferation and G1/S transition via the EGFR/MAPK pathway in non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘Background:Our previous study demonstrated that aldolase A(ALDOA)is overexpressed in clinical human lung squamous cell carcinoma and that ALDOA promotes epithelial-mesenchymal transition and tumorigenesis.The pre-sent study aimed to explore the function of ALDOA in the modulation of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)prolifera-tion and cell cycle progression and the potential mechanism.Methods:ALDOA was knocked down by short hairpin RNA in H520 and H1299 cells.ALDOA was overexpressed with vectors carrying the full-length ALDOA sequence in H1299 and H157 cells.The proliferation capacities were assessed with immunohistochemical staining,Cell Counting Kit-8 and colony formation assays.The cell cycle distribution was examined by flow cytometry,and molecular alterations were determined by western blotting.Cell synchronization was induced with nocodazole.The stability of cyclin D1 mRNA was tested.The pyruvate kinase M2 and ALDOA protein distributions were examined.Aerobic glycolysis was evaluated with Cell Titer-Glo assay,glucose colorimetric assay and lactate colorimetric assay.Results:ALDOA knockdown inhibited the proliferation and G1/S transition in H520 cells.Conversely,ALDOA over-expression promoted the proliferation and G1/S transition in H157 cells.The cell cycle synchronization assay showed that ALDOA expression increased in the G1 phase and G1/S transition.Furthermore,ALDOA knockdown reduced cyclin D1 expression by regulating epidermal growth factor receptor/mitogen-activated protein kinase(EGFR/MAPK)pathway.Similar results were found in H1299 and H157 cells.The inhibition of mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 1/2 prompted the nuclear distribution of ALDOA.Additionally,ALDOA knockdown reduced nuclear distribution of PKM2,the extracellular lactate and intracellular adenosine triphosphate concentrations and elevated the extracellular glucose concentration.Conclusions:ALDOA contributed to activation of the EGFR/MAPK pathway,thus promoting cyclin D1 expression and enhancing proliferation and G1/S transition in NSCLC.Additionally,ALDOA facilitated NSCLC aerobic glycolysis. | Hailu Fu Huijun Gao Xiaoyu Qi Lei Zhao Donghua Wu Yuxin Bai Huimin Li Xuan Liu Jun Hu Shujuan Shao | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 0 |
| 20 | Energy flexibility characteristics of centralized hot water system in university dormitories显示文摘The large-scale application of renewable energy is an important strategy to achieve the goal of carbon neutrality in the building sector.Energy flexibility is essential for ensuring balance between energy demand and supply when targeting the maximum penetration rate of renewable energy during the operation of regional integrated energy systems.Revealing the energy flexibility characteristics of centralized hot water systems,which are an important source of such flexibility,is of great significance to the optimal operation of regional integrated energy systems.Hence,in this study,based on the annual real-time monitoring data,the energy flexibility of the centralized hot water system in university dormitories is evaluated from the perspective of available storage capacity(C_(ADR)),recovery time(t_(recovery)),and storage efficiency(η_(ADR)),by the data-driven simulation method.The factors influencing the energy flexibility of the centralized hot water system are also analyzed.Available storage capacity has a strong positive correlation with daily water consumption and a strong negative correlation with daily mean outdoor temperature.These associations indicate that increased water use on the energy flexibility of the centralized hot water system is conducive to optimal dispatching.In contrast,higher outdoor temperature is unfavorable.The hourly mean value of the available storage capacity in spring and winter is found to be around 80 kWh in the daytime,and about twice that in summer and autumn.Recovery time is evenly distributed throughout the year,while t_(recovery)/C_(ADR)in spring and winter is about half that in summer.The storage efficiency was significantly higher in spring,summer,and winter than in autumn.The hourly mean storage efficiency was found to be about 40%in the daytime.The benefits of activating energy flexibility in spring and winter are the best,because these two seasons have higher available storage capacity and storage efficiency,while the benefit of activating energy flexibility is the highest at 6:00 a.m.,and very low from midnight to 3:00 a.m. | Zhiqin Rao Shuqin Chen Isaac Lun Lizhi Shen Ang Yu Huijun Fu | 2023 | Building Simulation2023,16,4: | 0 |
