2CO_2 gas emplacement age in the Songliao Basin: Insight from volcanic quartz ^(40)Ar-^(39)Ar stepwise crushing显示文摘Due to a lack of suitable minerals, the gas/oil emplacement ages have never been accurately obtained before. CH4-CO2-saline- bearing secondary inclusions are found in quartz from the volcanic rocks of the Yingcheng Formation, the container rocks of the deep CO2 gas reservoir in the Songliao Basin. The inclusion fluid was trapped into microcracks in quartz during the gas em- placement and accumulation, providing an optimal target for the 40Ar-39Ar stepwise crushing technique to determine the CO2 gas emplacement age. 40Ar-39Ar dating results of a quartz sample by stepwise crushing yield a highly linear-regression isochron with an age of 78.4±1.3 Ma, indicating that the accumulation of the deep CO2 gas reservoir in the Songliao Basin occurred in the late Cretaceous. 3Detection of quantitative trait loci and heterotic loci for plant height using an immortalized F_2 population in maize显示文摘A set of recombinant inbred lines (RIL) derived from Yuyu22, an elite hybrid widespread in China, was used to construct an immortalized F2 (IF2) population comprising 441 different crosses. Genetic linkage maps were constructed containing 10 linkages groups with 263 simple sequence repeat (SSR) molecular markers. Twelve and ten quantitative trait loci (QTL) were detected for plant height in the IF2 and RIL populations respectively, using the composite interval mapping method, and six same QTL were identified in the two populations. In addition, ten unique heterotic loci (HL) located on seven different chromosomes were revealed for plant height using the mid-parent heterosis as the input data. These HL explained 1.26%―8.41% of the genotypic variance in plant height heterosis and most expressed overdominant effects. 4Large-Scale Discovery of Non-conventional Peptides in Maize and Arabidopsis through an Integrated Peptidogenomic Pipeline显示文摘Non-conventional peptides(NCPs),which include small open reading frame-encoded peptides,play critical roles in fundamental biological processes.In this study,we developed an integrated peptidogenomic pipeline using high-throughput mass spectra to probe a customized six-frame translation database and applied it to large-scale identification of NCPs in plants.A total of 1993 and 1860 NCPs were unambiguously identified in maize and Arabidopsis,respectively.These NCPs showed distinct characteristics compared with conventional peptides and were derived from introns,3′UTRs,5′UTRs,junctions,and intergenic regions.Furthermore,our results showed that translation events in unannotated transcripts occur more broadly than previously thought.In addition,we found that dozens of maize NCPs are enriched within regions associated with phenotypic variations and domestication selection,indicating that they potentially are involved in genetic regulation of complex traits and domestication in maize.Taken together,our study developed an integrated peptidogenomic pipeline for large-scale identification of NCPs in plants,which would facilitate global characterization of NCPs from other plants.The identification of large-scale NCPs in both monocot(maize)and dicot(Arabidopsis)plants indicates that a large portion of plant genome can be translated into biologically functional molecules,which has important implications for functional genomic studies.Shunxi Wang Lei Tian Haijun Liu Xiang Li Jinghua Zhang Xueyan Chen Xingmeng Jia Xu Zheng Shubiao Wu Yanhui Chen Jianbing Yan Liuji Wu 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,7:4

7An AIEE polyelectrolyte as a light-up fluorescent probe for heparin sensing in full detection range显示文摘Polyelectrolyte PTPEPyH, containing tetraphenylethene (TPE) and pyridinium, was synthesized. Its optical properties were investigated with spectroscopies and the results showed that there were two emission-enhanced stages in the interaction between positive-charged PTPEPyH and negative-charged biomacromolecule heparin. The mechanism was very different due to the reduced non-radiative energy loss and the change of surroundings. 8Cutting Performance and Mechanism of RE Carbide Tools显示文摘The research of rare earth elements (RE), added into cemented carbide tools, is one of the recent developments of new types of tool materials in China. Systematic experiments about RE carbides YG8R (K30), YT14R (P20) and YW1R (M10) were made to study on the cutting performance in comparison with non-RE carbides YG8, YT14 and YW1. The cntting experiments were as follows: tool life, cutting force, tool-chip friction coefficient and interrupted machining. The action of RE on the carbide materials and the cutting mechanism of the RE carbide tools in the cutting process were verified with the aid of SEM and energy spectrum analysis. 12Structural variation and parallel evolution of apomixis in citrus during domestication and diversification显示文摘Apomixis,or asexual seed formation,is prevalent in Citrinae via a mechanism termed nucellar or adventitious embryony.Here,multiple embryos of a maternal genotype form directly from nucellar cells in the ovule and can outcompete the developing zygotic embryo as they utilize the sexually derived endosperm for growth.Whilst nucellar embryony enables the propagation of clonal plants of maternal genetic constitution,it is also a barrier to effective breeding through hybridization.To address the genetics and evolution of apomixis in Citrinae,a chromosome-level genome of the Hongkong kumquat(Fortunella hindsii)was assembled following a genome-wide variation map including structural variants(SVs)based on 234 Citrinae accessions.This map revealed that hybrid citrus cultivars shelter genome-wide deleterious mutations and SVs into heterozygous states free from recessive selection,which may explain the capability of nucellar embryony in most cultivars during Citrinae diversification.Analyses revealed that parallel evolution may explain the repeated origin of apomixis in different genera of Citrinae.Within Fortunella,we found that apomixis of some varieties originated via introgression.In apomictic Fortunella,the locus associated with apomixis contains the FhRWP gene,encoding an RWP-RK domain-containing protein previously shown to be required for nucellar embryogenesis in Citrus.We found the heterozygous SV in the FhRWP and CitRWP promoters from apomictic Citrus and Fortunella,due to either two or three miniature inverted transposon element(MITE)insertions.A transcription factor,FhARID,encoding an AT-rich interaction domain-containing protein binds to the MITEs in the promoter of apomictic varieties,which facilitates induction of nucellar embryogenesis.This study provides evolutionary genomic and molecular insights into apomixis in Citrinae and has potential ramifications for citrus breeding.Nan Wang Xietian Song Junli Ye Siqi Zhang Zhen Cao Chenqiao Zhu Jianbing Hu Yin Zhou Yue Huang Shuo Cao Zhongjie Liu Xiaomeng Wu Lijun Chai Wenwu Guo Qiang Xu Brandon S.Gaut Anna M.G.Koltunow Yongfeng Zhou Xiuxin Deng 2022National Science Review2022,9,10:1

14New techniques and strategies in drug discovery显示文摘Great success has been witnessed in last decades,some new techniques and strategies have been widely used in drug discovery.In this roadmap,several representative techniques and strategies are highlighted to show recent advances in this filed.(A)A DOX protocol has been developed for accurate protein-ligand binding structure prediction,in which first principle method was used to rank the binding poses.Validation against crystal structures have found that DOX prediction achieved an impressive success rate of 99%,indicating significant improvement over molecular docking method.(B)Virtual target profiling is a compound-centric strategy enabling a parallel implementation of interrogating compounds against various targets in a single screen,which has been used in hit/lead identification,drug repositioning,and mechanism-of-action studies.Current and emerging methods for virtual target profiling are briefly summarized herein.(C)Research on targeted autophagy to treat diseases has received encouraging progress.However,due to the complexity of autophagy and disease,experimental and in silico methods should be performed synergistically for the entire process.This part focuses on in silico methods in autophagy research to promote their use in medicinal research.(D)Histone deacetylases(HDACs)play important roles in various biological functions through the deacetylation of lysine residues.Recent studies demonstrated that HDACs,which possess low deacetylase activities,exhibited more efficient defatty-acylase activities.Here,we review the defatty-acylase activity of HDACs and describe examples for the design of isoform selective HDAC inhibitor.(E)The FDA approval of three kinase allosteric inhibitors and some others entering clinical study has spurred considerable interests in this targeted drug discovery area.(F)Recent advances are reviewed in structure-based design of novel antiviral agents to combat drug resistance.(G)Since nitric oxide(NO)exerts anticancer activity depending on its concentration,optimal levels of NO in cancer cells is desirable.In this minireview,we briefly describe recent advances in the research of NO-based anticancer agents by our group and present some opinions on the future development of these agents.(H)The field of photoactivation strategies have been extensively developed for controlling chemical and biological processes with light.This review will summarize and provide insight into recent research advances in the understanding of photoactivatable molecules including photoactivatable caged prodrugs and photoswitchable molecules.Jintong Du Jing Guo Dongwei Kang Zhihong Li Guan Wang Jianbing Wu Zhen Zhang Hao Fang Xuben Hou Zhangjian Huang Guobo Li Xiaoyun Lu Xinyong Liu Liang Ouyang Li Rao Peng Zhan Xiaojin Zhang Yihua Zhang 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,7:1

18Cache Power Optimization Based on Compare-Based Adaptive Clock Gating and Its 65nm SoC Implementation显示文摘In most embedded microprocessor based System on chips(So Cs), cache has become a ma jor source of power consumption due to its increasing size and high access rate. Power optimization of cache based on Compare-based adaptive clock gating(CACG) is proposed to reduce the power waste due to cache idle. By detecting the cache's working state, the CACG can automatically turn off its clock when it is in idle state, saving a large percentage of dynamic power.
