| 5 | Antimony oxidation and adsorption by in-situ formed biogenic Mn oxide and Fe–Mn oxides显示文摘Antimony(Sb), which can be toxic at relatively low concentrations, may co-exist with Mn(Ⅱ)and/or Fe(Ⅱ) in some groundwater and surface water bodies. Here we investigated the potential oxidation and adsorption pathways of Sb(Ⅲ and V) species in the presence of Mn(Ⅱ) and Mn-oxidizing bacteria, with or without Fe(Ⅱ). Batch experiments were conducted to determine the oxidation and adsorption characteristics of Sb species in the presence of biogenic Mn oxides(BMOs), which were formed in-situ via the oxidation of Mn(Ⅱ) by a Mn-oxidizing bacterium(Pseudomonas sp. QJX-1). Results indicated that Sb(Ⅲ) ions could be oxidized to Sb(V) ions by BMO, but only Sb(V) originating from Sb(Ⅲ) oxidation was adsorbed effectively by BMO. Introduced Fe(Ⅱ) was chemically oxidized to Fe OOH, the precipitates of which mixed with BMO to form a new compound, biogenic Fe–Mn oxides(BFMO). The BMO part of the BFMO mainly oxidized and the Fe OOH of the BFMO mainly adsorbed the Sb species. In aquatic solutions containing both As(Ⅲ) and Sb(Ⅲ), the BFMO that formed in-situ preferentially oxidized Sb over As but adsorbed As more efficiently. Chemical analysis and reverse transcription real-time polymerase chain reaction revealed that the presence of Fe(Ⅱ), As(Ⅲ) and Sb(Ⅲ) accelerated the oxidation of Mn(Ⅱ) but inhibited the activity of Mn-oxidizing bacteria. | 6 | Feature selection for chemical process fault diagnosis by artificial immune systems显示文摘With the Industry 4.0 era coming, modern chemical plants will be gradually transformed into smart factories, which sets higher requirements for fault detection and diagnosis(FDD) to enhance operation safety intelligence. In a typical chemical process, there are hundreds of process variables. Feature selection is a key to the efficiency and effectiveness of FDD. Even though artificial immune system has advantages in adaptation and independency on a large number of fault samples, antibody library construction used to be based on experience. It is not only time consuming, but also lack of scientific foundation in fault feature selection, which may deteriorate the FDD performance of the AIS. In this paper, a fault antibody feature selection optimization(FAFSO) algorithm is proposed based on genetic algorithm to optimize the fault antibody features and the antibody libraries' thresholds simultaneously. | 7 | Relationship Between Organ Masses and Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) in Tree Sparrows (Passer montanus)显示文摘BMR(basal metabolic rate),body mass and organ masses of tree sparrows(Passer montanus) were measured to analyze the correlation between organ masses and BMR in tree sparrows,and to evaluate the underlying physiological causes of difference in BMR. Adult tree sparrows were live-trapped by mist net in Qiqihar City,Heilongjiang Province(47 29'N,124 02'E) . The closed circuit respirometer was used to measure the metabolic rate(MR) ,and controlled the ambient temperature by using a water bath(±0.5℃) . Body masses were measured to the nearest 0.01 g before and after BMR measurements with a Sartorius balance(model BT25S) . The mean value was recorded as body mass. Wet and dry masses of several organs were measured,too. BMR was(4.276± 0.385) mL O 2 /(g h) and mean body mass was(18.522±0.110) g. Since not all the variables were normal distributed,a log 10-transformation of those variables was employed to linearize them,prior to analyses. Simple regression analyses indicated that most organ masses showed a significant high correlation with body mass. Both the small intestine and rectum masses were notable exception to that trend. The body-mass-adjusted residual analysis showed that only the kidney wet mass,brain mass,stomach mass,small mass and rectum wet mass correlated with BMR. In addition,correlations between several organ masses and BMR were observed. Because of the inter-correlations of organ masses,a principal component analysis(PCA) was performed to redefine the morphological variability. The first four components whose eigenvalues were greater than 1 could explain 75.2% variance of BMR. The first component,whose proportion reached 30.19%,was affected mainly by stomach mass,small intestine mass and rectum mass. | 8 | Bouguer gravity anomaly of the Moon from CE-1 topography data:Implications for the impact basin evolution显示文摘In this study,the terrain correction for lunar free-air gravity anomaly (FAGA) is calculated in spherical coordinates based on the global topography data detected by the laser altimeter on Chang'E-1 (CE-1). The obtained lunar Bouguer gravity anomaly (BGA) reveals density irregularities of the interior mass. BGA is important in characterizing the mascon basins. According to the BGA of the Moon,the South Pole-Aitken (SPA) basin is considered the largest mascon basin on the Moon,and the feature of BGA in the basin implies the impacting direction. Further,the mascon basins seem to be classified into two types,Type Highland and Type Plain. For the mascon basins of Type Highland the dense materials mainly come from the shallow crust,which are associated with the basalt deposits.
