3Characterizations of high-voltage vertically-stacked GaAs laser power converter显示文摘Six-junction vertically-stacked Ga As laser power converters(LPCs) with n^+-Ga As/p^+-Al0.37 Ga0.63 As tunnel junctions have been designed and grown by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition for converting the power of 808 nm lasers. The LPC chips are characterized by measuring current–voltage(I–V) characteristics under 808 nm laser illumination, and a maximum conversion efficiency ηc of 53.1% is obtained for LPCs with an aperture diameter of 2 mm at an input laser power of 0.5 W. 4Value Assessment of Wetland Ecosystem Services in the Da Hinggan Mountains, China显示文摘This study examined regional differences in ecosystem services for the Da Hinggan Mountains(DHM),China.A correction index was constructed based on ten-year average net primary productivity(NPP)data.A new equivalent factor table that was suitable for the assessment of wetlands in the DHM was formed by using the expert weight determination method(EWDM).An evaluation model was established for evaluating the ecosystem service value(ESV)of wetlands in the DHM.The results show that in 2020,the total ESV of wetlands reached 93361×10^(6) USD,with the forest swamp and marsh ecosystems contributing the most.From the perspective of value composition,regulating services and supporting services are the main service functions of wetlands in the DHM.From 2010 to2020,ESV provided by wetlands increased by 4337×10^(6) USD/yr in the DHM.The value of forest swamp and peatland ecosystems increased by 18.6%and 12.7%,respectively,whereas the value of swamp,shrub swamp,and marsh decreased.The research results are of significance for contributing to local government performance evaluation and determining financial compensation for the provision of wetland ecosystem services.ZHANG Tingting LYU Xianguo ZOU Yuanchun LIU Jiping JIANG Ming XU Chunguang ZHOU Cuicui XU Chen XUE Zhenshan 2022Chinese Geographical Science2022,32,2:0
5Numerical Investigation and Uncertainty Analysis of Eastern China's Large-Scale Urbanization Effect on Regional Climate显示文摘Eastern China has experienced rapid urbanization during the past four decades,and it is necessary to understand the impacts of the urbanization on the regional climate.Previous simulations with either regional climate models(RCMs)or general circulation models have produced inconsistent and statistically non-significant urbanization effects on precipitation during the East Asian summer monsoon.In the studies with RCMs,reanalysis data were used as the lateral boundary conditions(LBCs)for both urban and non-urban experiments.Since the same LBCs may limit the urbanization effect,in this study,the Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF)model nested within the Global Forecast System(GFS),both of which were coupled with an urban canopy model,were used to explore the urbanization effect over eastern China.The WRF’s LBCs in the runs with/without urbanization were provided by the corresponding GFS runs with/without urbanization.The results showed a significant decrease in precipitation over North China,mainly due to a marked decrease in evaporation and the divergence induced by the reduced latent heating in the mid and upper atmosphere,from the experiment with urbanization.Meanwhile,to the north and south of the large-scale urbanization areas,especially to the south of the Yangtze River,precipitation increased significantly due to largescale urbanization-induced circulation change.With the same LBCs for the WRF runs with/without urbanization,the urbanization effects were limited only to urban and nearby areas;no significant change was found to the south of the Yangtze River,since the same LBCs hampered the effects of urbanization on large-scale circulation.In addition,this study demonstrated that the urban fraction may be a key factor that affects the intensity of the urbanization effect within the urban areas.Jiping QUAN Yongkang XUE Qingyun DUAN Zhenxin LIU Keith WOLESON Ye LIU 2021Journal of Meteorological Research2021,35,6:0
6Four-junction AlGaAs/GaAs laser power converter显示文摘Four-junction AlGaAs/GaAs laser power converters (LPCs) with n^+-Ga As/p^+-Al_(0.37)Ga_(0.63)As hetero-structure tunnel junctions (TJs) have been designed and grown by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD) for converting the power of 808 nm lasers. 7Cytokine levels and pathological characteristics of a patient with severe coronavirus disease 2019:a case report显示文摘To the Editor:The clinical spectrum of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)appears to be wide,ranging from asymptomatic to severe progressive pneumonia with respiratory failure,multiorgan failure,and even death.Here,we investigated the clinical and pathological characteristics of a patient who died from severe COVID-19.Our findings will facilitate a deeper understanding of the pathogenesis and progression of COVID-19 and improve clinical strategies to combat the disease.On January 23,2020,a 57-year-old man without relevant history presented with fatigue and fever after attending a family party 2 days prior.Among the members of the family party,one relative had traveled from Wuhan.Over 9 days,the fever and cough developed,and the patient visited the emergency department.A throat swab was positive for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-COV-2)on real-time reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction.He was admitted to the local hospital and received supportive therapies,anti-viral agents,atomized inhalation of interferon-γ,and oxygen therapy.Cough,fever,and dyspnea further developed on February 8.He received non-invasive mechanical ventilation therapy.On February 18,he was transferred to a superior hospital with shortness of breath.Kai Kang Yang Gao Mingyan Zhao Dongsheng Fei Ming Ye Yan Gao Wei Yang Changsong Wang Haitao Liu Guangping Chang Xianxin Kang Yunpeng Luo Xue Du Jiping Qi Lin Tian Min Zhou Chunfang Hao Kaijiang Yu 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,1:0
