| 1 | Epidemiological Characteristics of Plague in the Meriones unguiculatus Plague Focus--Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,China,1950−2019显示文摘From 1950 to 2019,a total of 267 plague cases in humans were reported in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region with 133 deaths and 10,710 Yersinia pestis isolates;21 of these cases were reported from the Meriones unguiculatus(M.unguiculatus)plague focus with 6 deaths and 6,771 isolates.According to the plague situation in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the implementation of local preventive measures,the prevalence of plague in humans in the M.unguiculatus plague focus of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region could be divided into four stages.The first stage was the initial stage of plague prevention and control(1950–1959),with 0.80 cases annually and a case fatality rate of 37.50%.The second stage was the plague eradication stage(1960–1979),with 0.15 cases annually and a case fatality rate of 33.33%.The third stage was the plague surveillance stage(1980-1999),with 0.25 cases annually and a case fatality rate of 20.00%.The fourth stage is the comprehensive prevention and control stage under the emergency system(2000-2019),with 0.25 cases annually and a case fatality rate of 20.00%.The surveillance of rodent density(1981-2019)and studies on plague-related factors among M.unguiculatus have shown that the higher the M.unguiculatus density,the higher the nocturnal rodent capture rate(r=0.670,p<0.05)and the higher the indirect hemagglutination assay(IHA)positive rate of M.unguiculatus(r=0.344,p<0.05);the higher the percentage of hosts infected,the lower the M.unguiculatus density(r=-0.361,p<0.05)and the lower the IHA positive rate of M.unguiculatus(r=-0.337,p<0.05);the higher the percentage of nests infected with fleas,the lower the IHA positive rate of M.unguiculatus(r=-0.348,p<0.05).Together,these results suggest that it is necessary to simultaneously monitor the pathogens,serology,and vector index of M.unguiculatus to accurately reflect the plague prevalence among local animals.Although bubonic plague is the main plague type of the M.unguiculatus plague focus,severe pneumonic plague or septic plague may be secondary when the bubonic plague is misdiagnosed or not treated in time.In addition,the plague in animals is relatively virulent in the M.unguiculatus plague focus,and the risk of spreading to humans is higher.For plague in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,comprehensive control efforts should be aimed at the M.unguiculatus focus,covering host animals,vector insects,and humans. | Boxi Liu Dayu Zhang Yuhuang Chen Zhaokai He Jun Liu Dongyue Lyu Weiwei Wu Ran Duan Shuai Qin Junrong Liang Huaiqi Jing Xin Wang | 2020 | China CDC weekly2020,2,49: | 3 |

| 3 | Wafer-scale patterned growth of type-II Dirac semimetal platinum ditelluride for sensitive room-temperature terahertz photodetection显示文摘As the lastly unexplored electromagnetic wave,terahertz(THz)radiation has been exploited in a plenty of contexts such as fundamental research,military and civil fields.Most recently,representative two-dimensional(2D)topological semimetal,platinum ditelluride(PtTe_(2))has attracted considerable research interest in THz detection due to its unique physical properties.However,to achieve practical applications,the low-cost,large-scale,controllable synthesis and efficient patterning of 2D materials are key requirements,which remain a challenge for PtTe_(2)and its photodetectors(PDs).Herein,a facile approach is developed to obtain waferscale(2-inches)patterned PtTe_(2)arrays using one-step tellurium-vapor transformation method and micro-Nano technology.PtTe_(2)PD arrays are fabricated with the as-grown PtTe_(2)arrays evenly distributed on a 2-inch wafer,exhibiting high conductivity(~2.7×105 S m^(-1))and good electrical consistency.Driven by the Dirac fermions,PtTe_(2)PDs achieve a broadband(0.02-0.3 THz)response with a fast response speed(~4.7μs),a high sensitivity(~47 pW Hz^(-1/2))and high-resolution transmission THz-imaging capability,which displays the potential of large-area THz array imaging.These results are one step towards the practical applications of integrated PD arrays based on 2D materials. | Zhuo Dong Wenzhi Yu Libo Zhang Liu Yang Luyi Huang Yan Zhang Zeqian Ren Haoran Mu Cheng Chen Junrong Zhang Jie Li Lin Wang Kai Zhang | 2023 | InfoMat2023,5,5: | 1 |

| 5 | Over-expression of nitric oxide and nitric oxide synthase in the rat brain following focal ischemia显示文摘BACKGROUND: In cerebral ischemia,over-expression of nitric oxide (NO) exerts neurotoxic effects. OBJECTIVE: This study was designed to measure NO and nitric oxide synthase (NOS) expression in rat brain tissue during cerebral ischemia,and to correlate expression levels of NO and NOS with ischemic time. DESIGN: A complete randomized grouping design,controlled animal experiment. SETTING: Fujian Institute of Neurosurgery & Department of Neurosurgery,Union Hospital Affiliated Fujian Medical University. MATERIALS: This study was performed at the Fujian Institute of Neurosurgery in December 2003. Eighty healthy adult male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats of clean grade were provided by the Zhejiang Laboratory Animal Center. The protocol was performed in accordance with ethical guidelines for the use and care of animals. Kits for measuring NO expression by method of nitrate reductase (Boster Company,Wuhan,China) and NOS activity (Jiancheng Bioengineering Co.,Ltd.,Nanjing,China),as well as a kit for reverse transcription-PCR (RT-PCR,Promega,USA) were used in the present study. METHODS: Sixty-eight rats underwent cerebral ischemia by occluding the middle cerebral artery by suture method. Forty-eight successfully lesioned rats were included in the study. Six rats were used for each length of ischemic event (30 minutes,1,3,6,12,24,and 72 hours,and 5 days of ischemia). Additionally,a normal control group (n = 6,normally raised) and a sham-operated group (n = 6,corresponding cerebral vessels exposed,without occlusion of middle cerebral artery) were included in the analysis. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Neurological function deficits were scored according to methods of Longa,Bederson,and colleagues. NO levels and NOS activity in the brain tissue were measured via nitrate reductase and chemical colorimetry,respectively. The expression of nitrotyrosine (NT),an in vivo specific metabolite of NO,was quantitatively measured by flow cytometry. Expression of endothelial,neuronal,and inducible NOS mRNA (eNOS,nNOS,and iNOS mRNA,respectively) in the cerebral ischemic region were semi-quantitatively analyzed by RT-PCR. RESULTS: Forty-eight ischemic rats and six sham-operated rats were analyzed. Neurological functional deficits increased with ischemic times (r = 0.765,P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in NO levels,NOS activity,and the percentage of NT-positive cells between the sham-operated and the normal control groups (P > 0.05). NO levels,NOS activity,and the percentage of NT-positive cells in brain tissue positively correlated to ischemia times (r = 0.932,0.914,0.924,respectively,P < 0.05). The percentage of NT-positive cells began to noticeably increase within 0.5 hour of after ischemia (9.50 %). NOS activity began to increase within 0.5 hour of ischemia and reached its peak level 3 days after ischemia. RT-PCR semi-quantitative analysis demonstrated that in the early stages of ischemia (0.5-6 hours),the expression of both eNOS and nNOS mRNA increased with ischemic time (t = 28.482-100.459,P < 0.01),while iNOS mRNA levels were almost undetectable. In the middle and advanced stages of ischemia (6 hours-5 days),iNOS mRNA levels were significantly increased compared to the control group (t = 36.742-82.058,P < 0.01); however,eNOS and nNOS mRNA levels were markedly reduced. CONCLUSION: With the prolongation of ischemic time,NO levels increased in cerebral tissue due to activation of various NOS. These measurements correlated with an increase in NT-positive cells and behavioral deficits. | 6 | Electrochemically derived nanographene oxide activates endothelial tip cells and promotes angiogenesis by binding endogenous lysophosphatidic acid显示文摘Graphene oxide(GO)exhibits good mechanical and physicochemical characteristics and has extensive application prospects in bone tissue engineering.However,its effect on angiogenesis is unclear,and its potential toxic effects are heavily disputed.Herein,we found that nanographene oxide(NGO)synthesized by one-step water electrolytic oxidation is smaller and shows superior biocompatibility.Moreover,NGO significantly enhanced angiogenesis in calvarial bone defect areas in vivo,providing a good microenvironment for bone regeneration.Endothelial tip cell differentiation is an important step in the initiation of angiogenesis.We verified that NGO activates endothelial tip cells by coupling with lysophosphatidic acid(LPA)in serum via strong hydrogen bonding interactions,which has not been reported.In addition,the mechanism by which NGO promotes angiogenesis was systematically studied.NGO-coupled LPA activates LPAR6 and facilitates the formation of migratory tip cells via Hippo/Yes-associated protein(YAP)independent of reactive oxygen species(ROS)stimulation or additional complex modifications.These results provide an effective strategy for the application of electrochemically derived NGO and more insight into NGO-mediated angiogenesis. | Wenjing Liu Haiyun Luo Qinwei Wei Jia Liu Junrong Wu Yanli Zhang Lili Chen Wencai Ren Longquan Shao | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,3: | 1 |

| 9 | Protoraphis Simonsen, a newly recorded marine epizoic diatom genus for China显示文摘Epizoic diatoms on marine copepods are common in nature and may have a special ecological relationship with their hosts.However,this special ecological group is not well known,and it has only rarely been studied in the China seas.To address this knowledge gap,the species diversity and classification of epizoic diatoms on planktonic copepods were studied with samples collected from the East China Sea.In the present study,a marine araphid diatom genus Protoraphis and its type species,Pr.hustedtiana,were observed and identified by light and electron microscopy,thus representing the first record of this genus and its type species in China.This genus is characterized by a median sternum strongly bent to opposite sides and terminate in two transapical grooves at the valve ends.Protoraphis hustedtiana was found to be epizoic on the posterior body appendages and segments of the marine calanoid copepod Candacia bradyi.An internal view shows a complex,ear-shaped process that is close to the apical slit field.The ecological habitats and geographical distributions of Protoraphis were also discussed,and,together with complementary morphological studies,our results have increased the number of records for marine epizoic diatoms to three genera with three species in China,including Pseudohimantidium and Pseudofalcula. | Lang Li Changping Chen Lin Sun Jiawei Zhang Junrong Liang Yahui Gao | 2020 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,4: | 1 |

| 17 | Probability Distribution of the Hull Motion and Mooring Line Tension of Two Floating Systems显示文摘The statistical and distribution characteristics of the responses of a floater and its mooring lines are essential in designing floating/mooring systems.In general,the dynamic responses of offshore structures obey a Gaussian distribution,assuming that the structural system,and sea loads are linear or weakly nonlinear.However,mooring systems and wave loads are considerably nonlinear,and the dynamic responses of hull/mooring systems are non-Gaussian.In this study,the dynamic responses of two types of floaters,semi-submersible and spar platforms,and their mooring lines are computed using coupled dynamic analysis in the time domain.Herein,the statistical characteristics and distributions of the hull motion and mooring line tension are discussed and compared.The statistical distributions of the dynamic responses have strong non-Gaussianity and are unreasonably fitted by a Gaussian distribution for the two floating and mooring systems.Then,the effects of water depth,wave parameters,and low-frequency and wave-frequency components on the non-Gaussianity of the hull motion,and mooring line tension are investigated and discussed.A comparison of the statistical distributions of the responses with various probability density functions,including the Gamma,Gaussian,General Extreme Value,Weibull,and Gaussian Mixture Model(GMM)distributions,shows that the GMM distribution is better than the others for characterizing the statistical distributions of the hull motion,and mooring line tension responses.Furthermore,the GMM distribution has the best accuracy of response prediction. | ZHANG Deqing DU Junfeng WANG Junrong CHANG Anteng | 2020 | Journal of Ocean University of China2020,19,2: | 1 |

The system could shorten the revisiting period so that any place on the world could be observed twice a day Now we extend the idea to the microwave remote sensing satellite system. The main purpose of the system is the impending forecast of earthquakes. According to the theory and long-time concrete practice of Qiang Zuji through the observation of temperature increase of the low layer of atmosphere and its moving trend caused by some sorts of radiation and gases released from Earth interior, an impending strong earthquake could be predicted in time. As the temperature increase is detected by thermo-infrared spectrum sensors on the meteorological satellites. the observation may be sometimes obstructed by cloud or rain. In the suggested system, mm-wave radiometers are used and those obstructions could be generally overcome. Besides, radiometers of some other microwave frequencies are also included so as to make the small satellite system useful for observation of atmosphere. soil and crops. The plattorm construction and the altitude control system of the satellites suitable to the sweeping radiometer antennas are stressfully implemented. | 20 | Distribution of phytoplankton in the East China Sea and the southern Yellow Sea in spring in relation to environmental variables and dimethylsulfide compounds显示文摘The coastal ecosystems are highly sensitive to climate change and are usually influenced by variations in phytoplankton communities and water physiochemical factors.In the present study,the phytoplankton community,chlorophyll a(Chl a)and their relationships with environmental variables and dimethylsulfide(DMS)and dimethylsulfoniopropionate(DMSP)were investigated in spring 2017(March 24 to April 16)in the East China Sea(26.0°-33.0°N,120.0°-128.0°E)and southern Yellow Sea(31.0°-36.0°N,120.0°-125.0°E).The spatial distributions of phytoplankton species composition and cell density were investigated by qualitative and quantitative methods and were compared with historical data to study phytoplankton species succession in the survey area.The results showed that there were 275 phytoplankton species belonging to 90 genera and 6 phyla in the survey area,of which 208 species belonged to 62 genera of Bacillariophyta and 56 species belonged to 20 genera of Pyrrophyta.The dominant phytoplankton species were Skeletonema dohrnii,Chaetoceros vanheurckii and Prorocentrum donghaiense.The phytoplankton cell densities ranged from 0.06×10^(4)cells/L to 418.73×10^(4)cells/L,with an average value of 21.46×10^(4)cells/L.In spring,the average ratio of Bacillariophyta/Pyrrophyta was41.13 for the entire study area.The areas with high phytoplankton cell density were mainly distributed in the northern South Yellow Sea and offshore waters of the East China Sea.According to a canonical correspondence analysis among phytoplankton and environmental parameters,the water Chl a concentrations were notably consistent with phytoplankton cell density(P<0.001),and both showed significant negative correlations with salinity and nitrite(P<0.05)and significant positive correlations with dissolved oxygen and pH(P<0.001).There was a significant positive correlation between diatom(both in cell density and in dominant species)and DMS(P<0.05),which indicated that diatoms play a greater role in DMS production in this investigated area. | Jiawei Zhang Yanghang Chen Xueyan Ren Vishal Patil Lin Sun Xuesong Li Junrong Liang Jun Zhang Yahui Gao Changping Chen | 2022 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2022,41,6: | 1 |
