| 1 | Can trastuzumab emtansine be replaced by additional chemotherapy plus targeted therapy for HER2-overexpressing breast cancer patients with residual disease after neoadjuvant chemotherapy?显示文摘Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-overexpressing breast cancer is an aggressive phenotype with a poor prognosis,and can easily metastasize and recur.Currently,chemotherapy plus HER2-targeted therapy is the standard systemic treatment for most of these patients.Given that neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC)has an efficacy equivalent to that of adjuvant chemotherapy and some additional benefits,many patients,especially those with more advanced tumors,prefer NAC and generally will not receive additional chemotherapy after surgery,irrespective of the pathological response.However,achieving pathological complete response to NAC is strongly correlated with prognosis,especially in triple-negative and HER2-overexpressing breast cancer.Therefore,postoperative treatment of these patients with residual diseases should be optimized to achieve favorable outcomes.The CREATE-X study has confirmed that additional chemotherapy can improve the outcomes of patients with HER2-negative residual disease after NAC.In addition,chemotherapy plays an indispensable role in the treatment of patients who receive surgery directly or who have recurrent lesions.Therefore,can additional chemotherapy improve prognosis of patients with HER2-overexpressing residual breast cancer?At present,no studies have compared the efficacy of additional chemotherapy plus trastuzumab with that of anti-HER2 therapy alone in residual cancer.The KATHERINE study revealed that trastuzumab emtansine(T-DM1)can reduce the risk of recurrence or death by 50%compared with trastuzumab in patients with HER2-positive residual invasive breast cancer after neoadjuvant therapy.T-DM1 is an antibody-drug conjugate of trastuzumab and the cytotoxic agent emtansine,and thus,to an extent,T-DM1 is equivalent to simultaneous application of chemotherapy and targeted therapy.However,high cost and low accessibility limit its use especially in low-and middle-income countries and regions.Hence,we proposed this perspective that additional chemotherapy plus trastuzumab should be given to HER2-overexpressing breast cancer patients with residual disease after NAC to improve their prognosis by discussing that the efficacy of additional chemotherapy plus trastuzumab is superior to that of anti-HER2 therapy alone and not inferior to T-DM1.Additional chemotherapy plus trastuzumab-based HER2-targeted therapy can be used as an alternative regimen to T-DM1 when T-DM1 is unavailable.However,further clinical research on the selection of chemotherapeutic agents is warranted. | Juan Wu Rong Kong Shen Tian Hao Li Kainan Wu Lingquan Kong | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2019,31,6: | 7 |
| 2 | Properties of coarse particles in suspended particulate matter of the North Yellow Sea during summer显示文摘Fine particles in seawater commonly form large porous aggregates. Aggregate density and settling velocity determine the behavior of this suspended particulate matter(SPM) within the water column.However, few studies of aggregate particles over a continental shelf have been undertaken. In our case study, properties of aggregate particles, including size and composition, over the continental shelf of the North Yellow Sea were investigated. During a scienti?c cruise in July 2016, in situ ef fective particle size distributions of SPM at 10 stations were measured, while temperature and turbidity measurements and samples of water were obtained from surface, middle, and bottom layers. Dispersed and inorganic particle size distributions were determined in the laboratory. The in situ SPM was divided into(1) small particles(<32 μm),(2) medium particles(32–256 μm) and(3) large particles(>256 μm). Large particles and medium particles dominated the total volume concentrations(VCs) of in situ SPM. After dispersion, the VCs of medium particles decreased to low values(<0.1 μL/L). The VCs of large particles in the surface and middle layers also decreased markedly, although they had higher peak values(0.1–1 μL/L). This suggests that almost all in situ medium particles and some large particles were aggregated, while other large particles were single particles. Correlation analysis showed that primary particles <32 μm in?uenced the formation of these aggregates. Microscopic examination revealed that these aggregates consisted of both organic and inorganic ?ne particles, while large particles were mucus-bound organic aggregates or individual plankton.The vertical distribution of coarser particles was clearly related to water strati?cation. Generally, medium aggregate particles were dominant in SPM of the bottom layer. | 4 | 乳腺癌患者携邛PICC化疗并发导管败血症的诊治探讨(英文)显示文摘Objective:The aim of our research was to study the incidence,clinical diagnosis and treatment of peripherally inserted central catheters(PICC)-related sepsis in breast cancer patients carrying PICC catheter for chemotherapy.Methods:The data of the incidence,diagnosis and treatment of PICC-related sepsis in 215 cases of breast cancer patients carrying PICC catheter for chemotherapy in our hospital from August,2009 to September,2011 were analyzed retrospectively.Results:216 PICCs had been successfully applied in 215 cases of breast cancer patients and followed for a total of 19,109 catheter days,(median catheterization duration,88.9 days,range 1-212 days).Among those,3(1.39%) PICCs were removed respectively as a result of PICC-related sepsis in 29,73 and 108 catheter-days(median 70 d),with a rate of 0.16 per 1000 catheter-days.Conclusion:Chemotherapeutic treatment via PICC for breast cancer patients is one of the most secure and effective measures but there exists small number of cases in which PICC catheter related sepsis is possible.Careful observation of relevant symptoms and signs,early diagnosis and treatment,not relying completely on blood culture tests and timely removal of PICC catheter can be very effective in treating PICC-related sepsis in these patients. | Lei Xing Vishnu Prasad Adhikari Lingquan Kong Hongyuan Li Guosheng Ren Feng Luo Kainan Wu | 2012 | The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2012,11,2: | 3 |

| 6 | Analysis of transmitter-side control methods in wireless EV charging systems显示文摘The wireless electric vehicle(EV) charging system is highly safe and flexible. To reduce the weight and cost of EVs, the wireless charging system, which simplifies the structure inside an EV and utilizes the transmitter-side control method, has become popular. This study investigates the transmitter-side control methods in a wireless EV charging system. First, a universal wireless charging system is introduced, and the function of its transfer power is derived. It is observed that the transfer power can be controlled by regulating either the phase-shift angle or the DC-link voltage. Further, the influence of the control variables is studied using numerical analysis. Additionally, the corresponding control methods, namely the phase-shift angle and the DC-link voltage control, are compared by calculation and simulation. It is found that:(1) the system efficiency is low with the phase-shift control method because of the converter switching loss;(2) the dynamic response is slow with the DC-link voltage control method because of the large inertia of the inductor and capacitor;(3) both the control methods have limitations in their adjustable power range. Therefore, a combined control method is proposed, with the advantages of high system efficiency, fast dynamic response, and wide adjustable power range. Finally, experiments are performed to verify the validity of the theoretical analysis and the effectiveness of the proposed method. This study provides a detailed and comprehensive analysis of the transmitter-side control methods in the wireless charging system, considering the sensitivity of parameters, converter losses, system efficiency,and dynamic performance, with the dead-time effect taken into consideration. | 8 | Electron transfer in Cu/Cu_(2)O generated by disproportionation promoting efficient CO_(2)photoreduction显示文摘Constructing a high-efficiency composite material for CO_(2)photoreduction is a key step to the achievement of carbon neutralization,but a comprehensive understanding of the factors that dictate CO_(2)reduction activity remains elusive.Here,we constructed a series of Cu in situ combined on Cu_(2)O(Cu/Cu_(2)O-1,-2,-3)via an acid disproportionation method with various processing time.The optimal photocatalyst(Cu/Cu_(2)O-2)affords CO at a rate of 10.43μmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1),which is more than fourfold to that of pristine Cu_(2)O.Electron transfer in the samples was detected by X-ray absorption spectroscopy(XAS)as well as X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Interestingly,the best photoreduction performance was not achieved by the sample possessing the most electron transfer(Cu/Cu_(2)O-1)but by the one with moderate electron transfer(Cu/Cu_(2)O-2).By virtue of density functional theory(DFT)calculations,a linear relationship between Bader charge variation(Δq)of the active sites and adsorption energy of CO_(2)reduction intermediates was discovered,wherein the moderate charge transfer corresponds to appropriate adsorption energy,which benefits CO_(2)photoreduction activity substantially.This work provides guidance for the construction of composite catalysts for efficient CO_(2)photoreduction in a perspective of the quantity of electron transfer. | Qian Zhu Kainan Zhu Minmin Cai Yaowen Zhang Zhiyu Shao Mengpei Jiang Xiyang Wang Zhibin Geng Xiaofeng Wu Manrong Li Keke Huang Shouhua Feng | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,8: | 0 |

The incidence is between 1 in 3000 and 1 in 10,000 pregnancies and comprises about 0.2% to 3.8% of all breast cancers diagnosed in women under the age of 50 years. As women tend to delay childbearing into their third and fourth decades, the incidence of PABC is expected to increase. Here we reported two PABC patients with similar clinic and pathologic characters received chemotherapy before or after termination of pregnancy respectively, and found that the former got pathologic complete response. | 12 | Novel 3D printed shape-memory PLLA-TMC/GA-TMC scaffolds for bone tissue engineering with the improved mechanical properties and degradability显示文摘The biodegradable substitution materials for bone tissue engineering have been a research hotspot.As is known to all,the biodegradability,biocompatibility,mechanical properties and plasticity of the substitution materials are the important indicators for the application of implantation materials.In this article,we reported a novel binary substitution material by blending the poly(lactic-acid)-co-(trimethylenecarbonate)and poly(glycolic-acid)-co-(trimethylene-carbonate),which are both biodegradable polymers with the same segment of flexible trimethylene-carbonate in order to accelerate the degradation rate of poly(lactic-acid)-co-(trimethylene carbonate)substrate and improve its mechanical properties.Besides,we further fabricate the porous poly(lactic-acid)-co-(trimethylene-carbonate)/poly(glycolic-acid)-co-(trimethylene-carbonate)scaffolds with uniform microstructure by the 3D extrusion printing technology in a mild printing condition.The physicochemical properties of the poly(lactic-acid)-co-(trimethylenecarbonate)/poly(glycolic-acid)-co-(trimethylene-carbonate)and the 3D printing scaffolds were investigated by universal tensile dynamometer,fourier transform infrared reflection(FTIR),scanning electron microscope(SEM)and differential scanning calorimeter(DSC).Meanwhile,the degradability of the PLLATMC/GA-TMC was performed in vitro degradation assays.Compared with PLLA-TMC group,PLLA-TMC/GATMC groups maintained the decreasing Tg,higher degradation rate and initial mechanical performance.Furthermore,the PLLA-TMC/GA-TMC 3D printing scaffolds provided shape-memory ability at 37℃.In summary,the PLLA-TMC/GA-TMC can be regarded as an alternative substitution material for bone tissue engineering. | Xulin Hu Weiming Zhao Zhen Zhang Jianping Xie Jian He Jianfei Cao Qing Li Yajing Yan Chengdong Xiong Kainan Li | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,1: | 0 |
