Optically pumped terahertz sources显示文摘High-power terahertz(THz) generation in the frequency range of 0.1-10 THz has been a fast-developing research area ever since the beginning of the THz boom two decades ago, enabling new technological breakthroughs in spectroscopy, communication, imaging, etc. By using optical(laser) pumping methods with near-or mid-infrared(IR) lasers, flexible and practical THz sources covering the whole THz range can be realized to overcome the shortage of electronic THz sources and now they are playing important roles in THz science and technology. This paper overviews various optically pumped THz sources, including femtosecond laser based ultrafast broadband THz generation, monochromatic widely tunable THz generation, single-mode on-chip THz source from photomixing, and the traditional powerful THz gas lasers. Full descriptions from basic principles to the latest progress are presented and their advantages and disadvantages are discussed as well. It is expected that this review gives a comprehensive reference to researchers in this area and additionally helps newcomers to quickly gain understanding of optically pumped THz sources. | ZHONG Kai SHI Wei XU DeGang LIU PengXiang WANG YuYe MEI JiaLin YAN Chao FU ShiJie YAO JianQuan | 2017 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2017,60,12: | 9
The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. As there were obvious heterogeneity in autoantibodies and clinical manifestation in different phenotypes of the disease, we should take more factors into consideration when identifying type 1 diabetes mellitus. | Jin Liu Lingling Bian Li Ji Yang Chen Heng Chen Yong Gu Bingqin Ma Wei Gu Xinyu Xu Yun Shi Jian Wang Dalong Zhu Zilin Sun Jianhua Ma Hui Jin Xing Shi Heng Miao Bing Xin Yan Zhu Zhenwen Zhang Ruifang Bu Lan Xu Guangde Shi Wei Tang Wei Li Dongmei Zhou Jun Liang Xingbo Cheng Bimin Shi Jixiang Dong Ji Hu Chen Fang Shao Zhong Weinan Yu Weiping Lu Chenguang Wu Li Qian Jiancheng Yu Jialin Gao Xiaoqiang Fei Qingqing Zhang Xueqin Wang Shiwei Cui Jinluo Cheng Ning Xu Guofeng Wang Guoqing Han Chunrong Xu Yun Xie Minmin An Wei Zhang Zhixiao Wang Yun Cai Qi Fu Yu Fu Shuai Zheng Fan Yang Qingfang Hu Hao Dai Yu Jin Zheng Zhang Kuanfeng Xu Yifan Li Jie Shen Hongwen Zhou Wei He Xuqin Zheng Xiao Han Liping Yu Jinxiong She Mei Zhang Tao Yang | 2016 | Science China(Life Sciences)2016,59,9: | 5
Circulating Lipoproteins Mediate the Association Between Cardiovascular Risk Factors and Cognitive Decline:A Community‑Based Cohort Study显示文摘Cardiovascular health metrics are now widely recognized as modifable risk factors for cognitive decline and dementia.Metabolic perturbations might play roles in the linkage of cardiovascular diseases and dementia.Circulating metabolites profling by metabolomics may improve understanding of the potential mechanism by which cardiovascular risk factors contribute to cognitive decline. In a prospective community-based cohort in China(n=725),312 serum metabolic phenotypes were quantifed, and cardiovascular health score was calculated including smoking, exercise, sleep, diet, body mass index, blood pressure, and blood glucose.Cognitive function assessments were conducted in baseline and follow-up visits to identify longitudinal cognitive decline.A better cardiovascular health was signifcantly associated with lower risk of concentration decline and orientation decline(hazard ratio(HR):0.84–0.90;p<0.05).Apolipoprotein-A1,high-density lipoprotein(HDL)cholesterol, cholesterol ester, and phospholipid concentrations were signifcantly associated with a lower risk of longitudinal memory and orientation decline(p<0.05 and adjusted-p<0.20).Mediation analysis suggested that the negative association between health status and the risk of orientation decline was partly mediated by cholesterol ester and total lipids in HDL-2 and-3(proportion of mediation:7.68–8.21%,both p<0.05).Cardiovascular risk factors were associated with greater risks of cognitive decline, which were found to be mediated by circulating lipoproteins, particularly the medium-size HDL components. These fndings underscore the potential of utilizing lipoproteins as targets for early stage dementia screening and intervention. | Jialin Li Qingxia Huang Yingzhe Wang Mei Cui Kelin Xu Chen Suo Zhenqiu Liu Yanpeng An Li Jin Huiru Tang Xingdong Chen Yanfeng Jiang | 2024 | Phenomics2024,4,1: | 0
Wenjing Zhitong recipe exhibits potential anti-primary dysmenorrhea properties by inhibiting COX2 and PKC signaling pathway in rats induced by estradiol benzoate and oxytocin显示文摘Objective:To explore the effect and mechanism of action of the Wenjing Zhitong recipe(WZR)in primary dysmenorrhea(PD)treatment. Methods:Uterine contractions were induced by estradiol benzoate and oxytocin in a PD model and WZR was administrated. The rate of change in uterine contractility and the writhing test were used to evaluate the effects of WZR.The serum levels of prostaglandin F_(2a)(PGF_(2a))and prostaglandin E_2(PGE_2),and the activity of cyclooxygenase-2(COX2)were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The changes in phosphor-phospholipase C(pPLC/PLC),phosphor-protein kinase C(pPKC/PKC),and connexin 43(CX43)expression were detected using immunohistochemistry and western blot. Results:WZR significantly reduced the rate of change in uterine contractility and writhing times in the PD model.WZR treatment inhibited the enzymatic activity of COX2 and reduced the levels of PGF_(2a),PGF_(2a)/PGE2and COX2 in the PD model.WZR also significantly reduced the expression of pPLC/PLC,pPKC/PKC and CX43.Targeting the inhibition of COX2 activity, caffeic acid and 1-acetyl-β-carboline were validated as the active ingredients in WZR responsible for reducing uterine contractions. Conclusion:WZR attenuated PD by inhibiting COX2 activity, downregulating PGF_(2a)/PGE_2 expression, and inhibiting the PKC signaling pathway. | Jialin Li Xiaoyao Liu Mei Jiang Yantong Xu Chunguo Wang Yujie Hu Song Yang Jian Gao Weiling Wang Ting Wang | 2023 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2023,10,3: | 0
Reviews and prospects of human factors research on curve driving显示文摘In order to fully understand the research progress of human factors and traffic safety in curve driving, from the perspective of driver-vehicle-road-environment dynamic traffic system, this paper explored the current research status and development trend of human factors of curve driving, and displayed the development process and structural relationship of human factors research of curve driving by using scientific knowledge map.Through the core collection database of Web of Science,1408 English literatures related to human factors research of curve driving published from 2012 to 2022(as of October 1,2022)were obtained, and the literatures in this field were sorted and analyzed based on the VOSviewer visualization software. The results show that China,Tongji University and Accident Analysis and Prevention are the country, institution and journal with the largest contribution rate in the field of human factors research on curve driving.Co-citation analysis shows that the research contents in this field are divided into 5 clusters:driver’s visual characteristics, risk of collision, vehicle dynamics characteristics, the influence of traffic engineering facilities on driving behavior, selection of driving speed. The co-occurrence analysis of keywords shows that the topics of curve geometry design and vehicle dynamics, driving behavior and risk, driving speed and safety, behavior prediction and intervention measures are the current research hotspots in the research field. It is found that the development trend of traffic safety improvement in curves is to construct a continuous,consistent,multi-level visual reference frame conforming to driving expectation through visual guiding technology, and summarizes the technical concept of linear visual guidance. This study can provide a reference for the study of human factors of curve driving. | Lei Han Zhigang Du Haoran Zheng Fuqiang Xu Jialin Mei | 2023 | Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2023,10,5: | 0
