| 1 | Seasonal and spatial distributions of euphotic zone and longterm variations in water transparency in a clear oligotrophic Lake Fuxian, China显示文摘To assess the seasonal and spatial variations and long-term trends in water optical properties in Lake Fuxian, investigations based on field work in four seasons and a long-term analysis of data from 1980 to 2014 were conducted. The results show that there was no significant variation in the euphotic depth(Z_(eu)) across the four seasons, and no significant correlations between Z_(eu) and potential influencing factors in seasons other than summer, suggesting that the water itself may be a major factor regulating the Z_(eu)in general. Nevertheless, significant differences in Z_(eu) between the north region(NR) and the south region(SR) were observed in all seasonal tests except spring. This finding relates to a higher abundance of chromophoric dissolved organic matter(CDOM) in the NR due to runoff, especially in the rainy seasons(summer and autumn).CDOM and its terrigenous component had an important impact on Z_(eu)in summer, with the highest precipitation, and impacts from suspended solids and non-algal particles were also found in the NR in summer. The Secchi disk depth in the lake decreased clearly over the years,with significantly negative correlations with the increasing permanganate index and air temperature, implying that organic contaminants(CDOM and/or phytoplankton) are important regulators of water transparency. We estimate that the combined effects of climate warming and changes in land use and land cover are also indirect regulating factors. Based on the verified motor model, a rotor step skewing model which can affect electromagnetic noise is proposed, and the influence of the skewing angle on electromagnetic noise is investigated in detail. By studying the spectral characteristics of the low-order radial magnetic force which has a great influence on electromagnetic noise, the distribution of electromagnetic noise characteristics of the permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) with or without the rotor step skewing is compared and analyzed. | 5 | Salivary mycobiome dysbiosis and its potential impact on bacteriome shifts and host immunity in oral lichen planus显示文摘The biodiversity of the mycobiome,an important component of the oral microbial community,and the roles of fungal–bacterial and fungal–immune system interactions in the pathogenesis of oral lichen planus (OLP) remain largely uncharacterized.In this study,we sequenced the salivary mycobiome and bacteriome associated with OLP.First,we described the dysbiosis of the microbiome in OLP patients,which exhibits lower levels of fungi and higher levels of bacteria.Significantly higher abundances of the fungi Candida and Aspergillus in patients with reticular OLP and of Alternaria and Sclerotiniaceae_unidentified in patients with erosive OLP were observed compared to the healthy controls.Aspergillus was identified as an “OLP-associated” fungus because of its detection at a higher frequency than in the healthy controls.Second,the co-occurrence patterns of the salivary mycobiome–bacteriome demonstrated negative associations between specific fungal and bacterial taxa identified in the healthy controls,which diminished in the reticular OLP group and even became positive in the erosive OLP group.Moreover,the oral cavities of OLP patients were colonized by dysbiotic oral flora with lower ecological network complexity and decreased fungal–Firmicutes and increased fungal–Bacteroidetes sub-networks.Third,several keystone fungal genera (Bovista,Erysiphe,Psathyrella,etc.) demonstrated significant correlations with clinical scores and IL-17 levels.Thus,we established that fungal dysbiosis is associated with the aggravation of OLP.Fungal dysbiosis could alter the salivary bacteriome or may reflect a direct effect of host immunity,which participates in OLP pathogenesis. | Yan Li Kun Wang Bo Zhang Qichao Tu Yufei Yao Bomiao Cui Biao Ren Jinzhi He Xin Shen Joy D.Van Nostrand Jizhong Zhou Wenyuan Shi Liying Xiao Changqing Lu Xuedong Zhou | 2019 | International Journal of Oral Science2019,11,3: | 8 |

By analyzing its total organic carbon (TOC) and concentrations of bio-elements, the seal population changes of the past century were reconstructed. The variation of seal population in the last century on the Fildes Peninsula is primarily controlled by human activities. The sealing industry in the early 20th century caused the dramatic decline of seal popula-tion. | 7 | Mercury distribution and bioaccumulation up the soil-plant-grasshopper-spider food chain in Huludao City, China显示文摘The purpose of this study is to investigate total mercury (THg) distribution and its bioaccumulation up the soil-plant-grasshopperspider in the Huludao City, which is polluted seriously by chlor-alkali and zinc smelting industry in Northeast of China. Results indicated that average THg concentrations in soil, plant leaves, grasshopper Locusta migratoria manilensis and Acrida chinensis, and spider were 0.151, 0.119, 0.167 and 0.134 mg/kg, respectively. THg spatial distribution suggested that most of mercury came from the chlor-alkali plant and the two zinc smelteries. The highest mercury concentration was found in the wings among different grasshoppers’ organs. Although spiders are the predatory, THg concentrations in their bodies were not high, and only on the same level as in grasshoppers, which might be due to spiders’ special living habits. In the light of the mercury transportation at every stage of the soil-plant-grasshopper-spider food chain, the bioaccumulation factors were 0.03, 0.79–1.11 and 0.80–1.13 respectively. | 9 | Influence of sunlight on the proliferation of cyanobacterial blooms and its potential applications in Lake Taihu, China显示文摘To learn the relationship between sunlight intensity and cyanobacterial proliferations for the further control of the heavy blooms, enclosure experiment were conducted in Meiliang Bay, Lake Taihu by regulating the natural light intensities with different shading ratio(0%(full sunlight), 10%, 25%, 50% and 75% of original natural sunlight intensities) from September to November in 2010. The results indicated that phytoplankton biomass(mean) decreased significantly when the shading ratios reached 50% or more. Higher shading ratios(e.g. 75%) were very efficient in controlling the average and total cyanobacterial bloom biomass, while 50% shading ratio was proven very effective either in controlling the peak value of phytoplankton biomass or postponing the occurrence of cyanobacterial blooms in Lake Taihu. In addition, phytoplankton composition and photosynthesis efficiency were also affected by altering the shading ratios, and in turn, they might also act on phytoplankton growth. | 12 | Propofol attenuates high glucose-induced P66shc expression in human umbilical vein endothelial cells through Sirt1显示文摘Perioperative hyperglycemia is a common metabolic disorder in clinic settings.Hyperglycemia leads to endothelial inflammation,endothelial cell apoptosis,and dysfunction,thus resulting in endothelial injury.Propofol(2,6-diisopropylphenol)is a widely used intravenous anesthetic in clinic settings.Our previous study indicated that propofol inhibits mitochondrial reactive oxygen species(ROS)production via down-regulation of phosphatase A2(PP2A)expression,inhibition of Ser36-p66shc dephosphorylation and mitochondrial translocation,thus improving high glucose-induced endothelial injury.The expression of p66shc was inhibited by propofol in hyperglycemic human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs).However,the mechanism by which propofol inhibits p66shc expression in hyperglycemic HUVECs is still obscure.In the present study,we mainly examined how propofol inhibited high glucose-induced p66shc expression in HUVECs.Compared with 5 mM glucose treatment,high glucose increased p66shc expression and decreased sirt1 expression,which was inhibited by propofol treatment.Moreover,EX527(a sirt1 inhibitor)reversed the effect of propofol against high glucose-induced p66shc expression.However,EX527 did not reverse the effects of propofol against high glucose-induced ROS accumulation,endothelial inflammation,and apoptosis.Furthermore,when cells were incubated with propofol,EX527,and FTY720(a PP2A activator)simultaneously,the effects of propofol against high glucose-induced ROS accumulation,inflammation,and apoptosis were reversed.Our results suggested that propofol inhibited high glucose-induced p66shc expression via upregulation of sirt1 expression in hyperglycemic HUVECs.Moreover,propofol protects against high glucose-mediated ROS accumulation and endothelial injury via both inhibition of p66shc expression and dephosphorylation of Ser36-p66shc. | Jing Wang Jie Qi Qichao Wu Hui Jiang Yuehao Yin Yan Huanx Yanjun Zhao Minmin Zhu | 2019 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,2: | 5 |

| 14 | Increased mtDNA copy number promotes cancer progression by enhancing mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation in microsatellite-stable colorectal cancer显示文摘Colorectal cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death worldwide.According to global genomic status,colorectal cancer can be classified into two main types:microsatellite-stable and microsatellite-instable tumors.Moreover,the two subtypes also exhibit different responses to chemotherapeutic agents through distinctive molecular mechanisms.Recently,mitochondrial DNA depletion has been shown to induce apoptotic resistance in microsatellite-instable colorectal cancer.However,the effects of altered mitochondrial DNA copy number on the progression of microsatellite-stable colorectal cancer,which accounts for the majority of colorectal cancer,remain unclear.In this study,we systematically investigated the functional role of altered mitochondrial DNA copy number in the survival and metastasis of microsatellite-stable colorectal cancer cells.Moreover,the underlying molecular mechanisms were also explored.Our results demonstrated that increased mitochondrial DNA copy number by forced mitochondrial transcription factor A expression significantly facilitated cell proliferation and inhibited apoptosis of microsatellitestable colorectal cancer cells both in vitro and in vivo.Moreover,we demonstrated that increased mitochondrial DNA copy number enhanced the metastasis of microsatellite-stable colorectal cancer cells.Mechanistically,the survival advantage conferred by increased mitochondrial DNA copy number was caused in large part by elevated mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation.Furthermore,treatment with oligomycin significantly suppressed the survival and metastasis of microsatellite-stable colorectal cancer cells with increased mitochondrial DNA copy number.Our study provides evidence supporting a possible tumor-promoting role for mitochondrial DNA and uncovers the underlying mechanism,which suggests a potential novel therapeutic target for microsatellite-stable colorectal cancer. | Xiacheng Sun Lei Zhan Yibing Chen Gang Wang Linjie He Qian Wang Feng Zhou Fang Yang Jin Wu Yousheng Wu Jinliang Xing Xianli He Qichao Huang | 2018 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2018,3,1: | 3 |

| 17 | Radical induced quartet photosensitizers with high ^(1)O_(2) production for in vivo cancer photodynamic therapy显示文摘Singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2)) is a strong oxidant which plays important roles in photodynamic therapy(PDT). The exploitation of photosensitizers with high ^(1)O_(2) production is crucial to improve PDT efficiency. In this study, a radical labeled quartet photosensitizer Cy-DENT is reported with high singlet oxygen quantum yield(Φ_(Δ)=32.3%) due to a radical enhanced inter-system crossing(ISC) process. After the introduction of 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyloxy(TEMPO) radical, quartet state ^(4)[R,T] of CyDENT could be formed to give an over 20-fold enhancement of singlet oxygen quantum yield compared to Cy-DEN(without TEMPO radical) under irradiation of near infrared(NIR) light. In addition, the ^(1)O_(2 )production is well controlled by varying the electron-donating ability of the terminal substituent group. Cy-DENT possesses good cell permeability and is localized in mitochondria. Under the irradiation of 700 nm light, Cy-DENT can produce high levels of ROS to destroy the mitochondria membrane potential and induce cell apoptosis. | 20 | Constitutive Relationship and Hot Processing Maps of Mg-Gd-Y-Nb-Zr Alloy显示文摘The hot working behavior of Mg-Gd-Y-Nb-Zr alloy was investigated using constitutive model and hot processing maps in this work. Isothermal compression tests were conducted with temperature and strain rate range of 703–773 K and 0.01–5 s^(-1), respectively. Improved Arrhenius-type equation incorporated with strain compensations was used to predict flow behavior of the alloy, and the predictability was evaluated using correlation coefficient, root mean square error and absolute relative error. Processing maps were constructed at different strains for Mg-Gd-Y-Nb-Zr alloy based on dynamic materials model.The processing maps are divided into three domains and the corresponding microstructure evolutions are referred to the forming of straight grain boundaries, twinning, dynamic recrystallization and grain growth. Instability occurred mainly at the strain rate range of 0.3s^(-1)–0.5s^(-1).
