1Programmed death-1 upregulation is correlated with dysfunction of tumor-infiltrating CD8^(+ ) T lymphocytes in human non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘T-cell tolerance is an important mechanism for tumor escape,but the molecular pathways involved in T-cell tolerance remain poorly understood.It remains unknown whether the inhibitory immunoreceptor programmed death-1(PD-1)plays a role in conditions of human non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).In this study,we detected PD-1 expression on CD81 T cells from healthy control peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)and the PBMCs of NSCLC patients as well as NSCLC tissues.Results showed that tumor-infiltrating CD81 T cells had increased PD-1 expression and impaired immune function,including reducing cytokine production capability and impairing capacity to proliferate.Blockade of the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway by the PD-L1-specific antibody partially restored cytokine production and cell proliferation.These data provide direct evidence that the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway is involved in CD81 T-cell dysfunction in NSCLC patients.Moreover,blocking this pathway provides a potential therapy target in lung cancer.Yan Zhang Shengdong Huang Dejun Gong Yanghua Qin Qian Shen 2010Cellular & Molecular Immunology2010,7,5:48
2Effect of soothing-liver and nourishing-heart acupuncture on early selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor treatment onset for depressive disorder and related indicators of neuroimmunology:a randomized controlled clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of soothing-liver and nourishing-heart acupuncture on selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor(SSRIs) treatment effect onset in patients with depressive disorder and related indicators of neuroimmunology.METHODS:Overall,126 patients with depressive disorder were randomly divided into a medicine and acupuncture-medicine group using a random number table.Patients were treated for 6 consecutive weeks.The two groups were evaluated by the Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale(MADRS) and Side Effects Rating Scale(SERS) to assess the effect of the soothing-liver and nourishing-heart acupuncture method on early onset of SSRI treatment effect.Changes in serum 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT) and inflammatory cytokines before and after treatment were recorded and compared between the medicine group and the acupuncture-medicine group.RESULTS:The acupuncture-medicine group had significantly lower MADRS scores at weeks 1,2,4,and 6 after treatment compared with the medicine group(P < 0.01).The acupuncture group had significantly lower SERS scores at weeks 1,2,4,and 6 after treatment compared with the medicine group(P < 0.01).At 6 weeks after treatment,serum 5-HT in the acupuncture-medicine group was significantly higher compared with the medicine group(P <0.01).lnterleukin-6(IL-6) in the acupuncture-medicine group was significantly lower than that in the medicine group(P < 0.01),whereas there was no significant difference in IL-1(3 between the groups(P > 0.05).Anti-inflammatory cytokines IL-4 and IL-10 were significantly higher in the acupuncture-medicine group compared with the medicine group(P < 0.01,P < 0.05,respectively).CONCLUSION:The soothing-liver and nourishing-heart acupuncture method can effectively accelerate the onset of SSRI effects when treating depressive disorder and can significantly reduce the adverse reactions of SSRIs.Moreover,acupuncture can enhance serum 5-HT and regulate the balance of pro-inflammatory cytokines and anti-inflammatory cytokines.Liu Yi Feng Hui Mo Yali Gao Jingfang Mao Hongjing Song Mingfen Wang Shengdong Yin Yan Liu Wenjuan 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,5:13
3Neolithic rice paddy from the Zhaojiazhuang site, Shandong, China显示文摘To identify and study the Neolithic rice paddy in Shandong, eastern China, is not only an important issue in the development of Chinese rice agriculture, but also a key part of the study on rice spread in East Asia. Due to the limitation of archaeological materials and the research methods, there have been no discoveries about the Neolithic rice paddy in Shandong Province for a long time. Based on the identification of possible rice paddy by archaeological excavation, phytolith analysis of soil samples from this 'paddy' has been systematically carried out and the results have shown a 4600—4300 years old rice paddy preserved at the Zhaojiazhuang site. 4Soil hydraulic conductivity as affected by vegetation restoration age on the Loess Plateau,China显示文摘The Loess Plateau of China has experienced extensive vegetation restoration in the past several decades,which leads to great changes in soil properties such as soil bulk,porosity,and organic matter with the vegetation restoration age.And these soil properties have great effect on the soil infiltration and soil hydraulic conductivity.However,the potential changes in soil hydraulic conductivity caused by vegetation restoration age have not been well understood.This study was conducted to investigate the changes in soil hydraulic conductivity under five grasslands with different vegetation restoration ages(3,10,18,28 and 37 years)compared to a slope farmland,and further to identify the factors responsible for these changes on the Loess Plateau of China.At each site,accumulative infiltration amount and soil hydraulic conductivity were determined using a disc permeameter with a water supply pressure of –20 mm.Soil properties were measured for analyzing their potential factors influencing soil hydraulic conductivity.The results showed that the soil bulk had no significant changes over the initial 20 years of restoration(P>0.05);the total porosity,capillary porosity and field capacity decreased significantly in the grass land with 28 and 37 restoration ages compared to the slope farmland;accumulative infiltration amount and soil hydraulic conductivity were significantly enhanced after 18 years of vegetation restoration.However,accumulative infiltration amount and soil hydraulic conductivity fluctuated over the initial 10 years of restoration.The increase in soil hydraulic conductivity with vegetation restoration was closely related to the changes in soil texture and structure.Soil sand and clay contents were the most influential factors on soil hydraulic conductivity,followed by bulk density,soil porosity,root density and crust thickness.The Pearson correlation coefficients indicated that the soil hydraulic conductivity was affected by multiply factors.These results are helpful to understand the changes in hydrological and erosion processes response to vegetation succession on the Loess Plateau.REN Zongping ZHU Liangjun WANG Bing CHENG Shengdong 2016Journal of Arid Land2016,8,4:9
5Detrital Zircon U-Pb Geochronology from Greywackes in the Niujuanzi Ophiolitic Mélange, Beishan Area, NW China: Provenance and Tectonic Implications显示文摘The Niujuanzi ophiolitic mélange represents the remnant of oceanic crust between the Dunhuang massif and Mingshui-Hanshan massif. Greywacke from different tectonic slices in the Niujuanzi ophiolitic mélange were analyzed for detrital zircon U-Pb geochronology, trace elements and whole-rock trace elements to infer their provenance and the evolution of the Niujuanzi Ocean. Sample N-76 s containing Carboniferous spores has the youngest zircon age of 323 Ma, while sample N-85 s without fossils has the youngest zircon age of 449 Ma. The two samples were deposited no earlier than 323 and 449 Ma, respectively. The greywackes are depleted in large ion lithophile elements, and are relatively enriched in high field strength elements. The age spectra and trace element concentrations indicate that the sediments may have been deposited near the trench. The Hf, U, and Yb contents of zircons from sample N-76 s vary widely, whereas those from sample N-85 s have a narrow range. Sample N-76 s contains both continental and oceanic zircons, while sample N-85 s contains only continental zircons. The sediments were derived from the continental arc and accretionary wedge. The Paleozoic oceanic crust zircons have ages of 430–500 Ma, indicating the timing of the expansion of the HongliuheNiujuanzi-Xichangjing Ocean expansion. 6Nanometer properties of oceanic polymetallic nodules and cobalt-rich crusts显示文摘An ammonia leaching process was utilized to extract Co, Ni and Cu from oceanic polymetallic nodules, whereas an acid leaching process was utilized to extract Co, Ni, Cu, Zn and Mn from cobalt-rich crusts. Both processes produced nanometer materials-ammonia leaching residue and acid leaching residue. A systematic study was conducted on the phase, composition and physicochemistry properties of these residues. The result shows that both residues contain a large amount of nanometer minerals. Ammonia leaching residue mainly consists of rhodochrosite, with the average grain diameter of 17.9 nm; whereas the acid leaching residue mainly consists of well-developed bassanite, with the average grain deameter of 9.5 nm. The bassanite also has a microporous structure, the volume of the pore space is 1.23×10-2 mL/g. Both the ammonia and acid leaching residues have a large specific surface area, and they display a strong adsorption capacity to saturate sodium chloride vapour, N2 and SO2. 7Advanced prediction for multiple disaster sources of laneway under complicated geological conditions显示文摘The driving safety in the laneway is often controlled by multiple disaster sources which include fault fracture zone, water-bearing body, goaf and collapse column. The advanced prediction of them has become a hotspot. Based on analysis of physical characteristics of the disaster sources and comparative evaluation of accuracy of the main advanced geophysical detection methods, we proposed a comprehen- sive judging criterion that tectonic interface can be judged by the elastic wave energy anomaly, strata water abundance can be discriminated by apparent resistivity response difference and establish a reason- able advanced prediction system. The results show that the concealed disaster sources are detected effec- tively with the accuracy rate of 80% if we use advanced prediction methods of integrated geophysics combined with correction of seismic and electromagnetic parameters, moreover, applying geological data, we may then distinguish types of the disaster sources and fulfill the qualitative forecast. 8Flexible high energy density zinc-ion batteries enabled by binder-free MnO_(2)/reduced graphene oxide electrode显示文摘We demonstrate a rechargeable zinc-ion battery with high energy density and cyclability using MnO_(2)and reduced graphene oxide(MnO_(2)/rGO)electrode.The flexible and binder free electrode,with high MnO_(2)mass ratio(80 wt%of MnO_(2)),is fabricated using vacuum filtration without any additional additives other than rGO.Compared to batteries with conventional MnO_(2)electrodes,the Zn-MnO_(2)/rGO battery shows a significant enhanced capacity(332.2 mAh g^(-1)at 0.3 A g^(-1)),improved rate capability(172.3 mAh g^(-1)at 6 A g^(-1))and cyclability.The capacity retention remains 96%after 500 charge/discharge cycles at 6 A g^(-1).The high MnO_(2)mass ratio makes MnO_(2)/rGO electrode advantageous when the capacity is normalized to the whole electrode,particularly at high rates.The calculated gravimetric energy density of Zn-MnO_(2)/rGO battery is 33.17Wh kg^(-1),which is comparable to the existing commercial lead-acid batteries(30-40Wh kg^(-1)).Furthermore,the discharge profile and capacity of our Zn-MnO_(2)/rGO battery shows no deterioration during bending test,indicating good flexibility.As a result,zinc-ion battery is believed to be a promising technology for powering next generation flexible electronics.Yuan Huang Jiuwei Liu Qiyao Huang Zijian Zheng Pritesh Hiralal Fulin Zheng Dilek Ozgit Sikai Su Shuming Chen Ping-Heng Tan Shengdong Zhang Hang Zhou 2018npj Flexible Electronics2018,2,1:4
9Mapping epistasis and environment × QTX interaction based on four-omics genotypes for the detected QTX loci controlling complex traits in tobacco显示文摘Using newly developed methods and software, association mapping was conducted for chromium content and total sugar in tobacco leaf, based on four-omics datasets. Our objective was to collect data on genotype and phenotype for 60 leaf samples at four developmental stages, from three plant architectural positions and for three cultivars that were grown in two locations. Association mapping was conducted to detect genetic variants at quantitative trait SNP(QTS) loci, quantitative trait transcript(QTT) differences,quantitative trait protein(QTP) variability, and quantitative trait metabolite(QTM) changes,which can be summarized as QTX locus variation. The total heritabilities of the four-omics loci for both traits tested were 23.60% for epistasis and 15.26% for treatment interaction.Epistasis and environment × treatment interaction had important impacts on complex traits at all-omics levels. 103D brain glioma segmentation in MRI through integrating multiple densely connected 2D convolutional neural networks显示文摘To overcome the computational burden of processing three-dimensional(3 D)medical scans and the lack of spatial information in two-dimensional(2 D)medical scans,a novel segmentation method was proposed that integrates the segmentation results of three densely connected 2 D convolutional neural networks(2 D-CNNs).In order to combine the lowlevel features and high-level features,we added densely connected blocks in the network structure design so that the low-level features will not be missed as the network layer increases during the learning process.Further,in order to resolve the problems of the blurred boundary of the glioma edema area,we superimposed and fused the T2-weighted fluid-attenuated inversion recovery(FLAIR)modal image and the T2-weighted(T2)modal image to enhance the edema section.For the loss function of network training,we improved the cross-entropy loss function to effectively avoid network over-fitting.On the Multimodal Brain Tumor Image Segmentation Challenge(BraTS)datasets,our method achieves dice similarity coefficient values of 0.84,0.82,and 0.83 on the BraTS2018 training;0.82,0.85,and 0.83 on the BraTS2018 validation;and 0.81,0.78,and 0.83 on the BraTS2013 testing in terms of whole tumors,tumor cores,and enhancing cores,respectively.Experimental results showed that the proposed method achieved promising accuracy and fast processing,demonstrating good potential for clinical medicine.Xiaobing ZHANG Yin HU Wen CHEN Gang HUANG Shengdong NIE 2021Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,6:4
11Early Paleozoic Ocean Plate Stratigraphy of the Beishan Orogenic Zone, NW China: Implications for Regional Tectonic Evolution显示文摘The Beishan orogenic zone is a key area to understand evolution of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt that is an accretionary factory well-enough preserved in the Paleozoic. In early Paleozoic, the tectonic mélange zone containing the coherent unit and mélange unit is triggered by the complicated accretionary process of the Beishan area. The early Paleozoic tectonic evolution of the Beishan orogenic zone is investigated in this study using sedimentology and stratigraphic correlations of the lowe Paleozoic deposits. From the Cambrian to the middle Ordovician, this region was characterized by geographically extensive, flat-bedded siliceous mudstone, indicating the existence of a large ocean basin. The oceanic plate entered the convergence phase in terms of the Wilson Circle during the Middle Ordovician, when numerous magmatic arcs formed along two opposite sides of the ocean. 14Precise robust motion control of cell puncture mechanism driven by piezoelectric actuators with fractional-order nonsingular terminal slidingmode control显示文摘A novel robust controller is proposed in this study to realize the precise motion control of a cell puncture mechanism(CPM)driven by piezoelectric ceramics(PEAs).The entire dynamic model of CPM is constructed based on the Bouc–Wen model,and the nonlinear part of the dynamic model is optimized locally to facilitate the construction of a robust controller.A model-based,nonlinear robust controller is constructed using time-delay estimation(TDE)and fractional-order nonsingular terminal sliding mode(FONTSM).The proposed controller does not require prior knowledge of unknown disturbances due to its real-time online estimation and compensation of unknown terms by using the TDE technology.The controller also has finite-time convergence and high-precision trajectory tracking capabilities due to FONTSM manifold and fast terminal sliding mode-type reaching law.The stability of the closed-loop system is proved by Lyapunov stability theory.Computer simulation and hardware-in-loop simulation experiments of CPM verify that the proposed controller outperforms traditional terminal sliding mode controllers,such as the integer-order or model-free controller.The proposed controller can also continuously output without chattering and has high control accuracy.Zebrafish embryo is used as a verification target to complete the cell puncture experiment.From the engineering application perspective,the proposed control strategy can be effectively applied in a PEA-driven CPM.Shengdong Yu Hongtao Wu Mingyang Xie Haiping Lin Jinyu Ma 2020Bio-Design and Manufacturing2020,3,4:2

16Optical and photo-carrier characterization of ultra-shallow junctions in silicon显示文摘Spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE), photocarrier radiometry (PCR) and photoluminescence (PL) techniques were employed to measure the ultra-shallow junction (USJ) wafers. These USJ wafers were prepared by As+ ion implantation at energies of 0.5-5 keV, at a dose of 1×1015 As+ /cm 2 and spike annealing. Experimentally the damaged layer of the as-implanted wafer and the recrystallization and activation of the post-annealed wafer were evaluated by SE in the spectral range from 0.27 to 20 m. The PCR amplitude decreased monotonically with the increasing implantation energy. The experimental results also showed that the PCR amplitudes of post-annealed USJ wafers were greatly enhanced, compared to the non-implanted and non-annealed substrate wafer. The PL measurements showed the enhanced PCR signals were attributed to the band-edge emissions of silicon. For explaining the PL enhancement, the electronic transport properties of USJ wafers were extracted via multi-wavelength PCR experiment and fitting. The fitted results showed the decreasing surface recombination velocity and the decreasing diffusion coefficient of the implanted layer contributed to the PCR signal enhancement with the decreasing implantation energy. 17Multifunction switching by a flat structurally tunable acoustic metasurface for transmitted waves显示文摘In this paper a flat structurally tunable acoustic metasurface is constructed based on the helical unit cell. The length of the acoustic channel can be tuned by the screw-in depth of the helix. Accordingly, the wave phase for the transmitted acoustic wave can be tuned and the wavefront can be manipulated. Then multifunctions such as anomalous refraction, point focusing, beam focusing and self-bending can be realized and switched just by screwing in or out the helixes. At the same time, the broadband operating frequency is also realized. The experiments for anomalous refraction and point focusing are also performed, and the results show that the designed metasurface is effective. 18Water abundance of mine floor limestone by simulation experiment显示文摘The water abundance of mine floor limestone needs to be solved urgently as the average depth of coal mining in China has increased gradually. A method is presented to discuss water abundance with the numerical and physical layered geoelectrical model being established in the half-space, full-space and full-space with tunnel, respectively. The parameters of water abundance are changed in this study, which includes water quantity, water content and volume of abnormity of water-containing abnormity. Results indicate that the different work fields have different macroscopic influences on the apparent resistivity,and the water abundance parameters of water-containing abnormity have quantitative relationship with the apparent resistivity mean in abnormal regions(three-dimensional space region). The quantitative relationships are shown as following: firstly, the amount of water injection has negative linear correlation with the apparent resistivity mean; secondly, when abnormity is unsaturated, there is a negative power function relationship between water content and apparent resistivity mean; thirdly, the volume of abnormity and apparent resistivity mean behave as a decreasing power function law.Yang Cai Liu Shengdong Liu Lu 2016International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2016,26,3:2
