Ascorbate peroxidase 1 confers resistance to southern corn leaf blight in maize显示文摘Southern corn leaf blight (SCLB), caused by Bipolarismaydis, is one of the most devastatingdiseases affecting maize production. However, only one SLCB resistance gene, conferring partialresistance, is currently known, underscoring theimportance of isolating new SCLB resistancerelatedgenes. Here, we performed a comparativeproteomic analysis and identified 258 proteinsshowing differential abundance during the maizeresponse to B. maydis. These proteins included anascorbate peroxidase (Zea mays ascorbate peroxidase1 (ZmAPX1)) encoded by a gene locatedwithin the mapping interval of a previously identifiedquantitative trait locus associated with SCLBresistance. ZmAPX1 overexpression resulted inlower H_(2)O_(2) accumulation and enhanced resistanceagainst B. maydis. Jasmonic acid (JA)contents and transcript levels for JA biosynthesisand responsive genes increased in ZmAPX1-overexpressing plants infected with B. maydis, whereas Zmapx1 mutants showed the oppositeeffects. We further determined that low levels of H_(2)O_(2) are accompanied by an accumulation of JAthat enhances SCLB resistance. These resultsdemonstrate that ZmAPX1 positively regulatesSCLB resistance by decreasing H_(2)O_(2) accumulationand activating the JA-mediated defensesignaling pathway. This study identified ZmAPX1as a potentially useful gene for increasing SCLBresistance. Furthermore, the generated datamay be relevant for clarifying the functions ofplant APXs. | Jinghua Zhang Xingmeng Jia Guan-Feng Wang Shijun Ma Shunxi Wang Qin Yang Xueyan Chen Yuqian Zhang Yajing Lyu Xiaoxu Wang Jiawei Shi Yangtao Zhao Yanhui Chen Liuji Wu | 2022 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,6: | 2
Potential Off-Grid User Prediction System Based on Spark显示文摘With the increasingly fierce competition among communication operators,it is more and more important to make an accurate prediction of potential off grid users. To solve the above problem,it is inevitable to consider the effectiveness of learning algo rithms, the efficiency of data processing, and other factors. Therefore,in this paper,we,from the practical application point of view, propose a potential customer off grid predic tion system based on Spark, including data pre processing, feature selection, model build ing,and effective display.Furthermore,in the research of off grid system,we use the Spark parallel framework to improve the gcForest algorithm which is a novel decision tree ensemble approach. The new parallel gcForest algorithm can be used to solve practical problems, such as the off grid prediction problem.Experiments on two real world datasets demonstrate that the proposed prediction system can handle large scale data for the off grid user prediction problem and the proposed parallel gcForest can achieve satisfying per formance. | LI Xuebing SUN Ying ZHUANG Fuzhen HE Jia ZHANG Zhao ZHU Shijun HE Qing | 2019 | ZTE Communications2019,17,2: | 2

SARS-CoV-2 immunity and functional recovery of COVID-19 patients 1-year after infection显示文摘The long-term immunity and functional recovery after SARS-CoV-2 infection have implications in preventive measures and patient quality of life. Here we analyzed a prospective cohort of 121 recovered COVID-19 patients from Xiangyang,China at 1-year after diagnosis.Among them, chemiluminescence immunoassay-based screening showed 99%(95%CI,98–100%)seroprevalence 10–12 months after infection, comparing to 0.8%(95%CI,0.7–0.9%)in the general population.Total anti-receptor-binding domain(RBD)antibodies remained stable since discharge, while anti-RBD IgG and neutralization levels decreased over time.A predictive model estimates 17%(95%CI,11–24%)and 87%(95%CI,80–92%)participants were still 50%protected against detectable and severe re-infection of WT SARS-CoV-2,respectively,while neutralization levels against B.1.1.7 and B.1.351 variants were significantly reduced. All non-severe patients showed normal chest CT and 21%reported COVID-19-related symptoms. In contrast,53%severe patients had abnormal chest CT,decreased pulmonary function or cardiac involvement and 79%were still symptomatic. Our findings suggest long-lasting immune protection after SARS-CoV-2 infection, while also highlight the risk of immune evasive variants and long-term consequences for COVID-19 survivors. | Yan Zhan Yufang Zhu Shanshan Wang Shijun Jia Yunling Gao Yingying Lu Caili Zhou Ran Liang Dingwen Sun Xiaobo Wang Zhibing Hou Qiaoqiao Hu Peng Du Hao Yu Chang Liu Miao Cui Gangling Tong Zhihua Zheng Yunsheng Xu Linyu Zhu Jin Cheng Feng Wu Yulan Zheng Peijun Liu Peng Hong | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,11: | 0
Bariatric surgery induces alterations in effective connectivity between the orbitofrontal cortex and limbic regions in obese patients显示文摘Obese subjects show enhanced brain responses in motivation and reward neurocircuitry encompassing sensory and somatic integration-interception,motivation-reward(striatal),emotion,and memory processes, which attenuate frontal region activation during food cues.Bariatric surgery(BS) is the only reliable treatment for morbid obesity.Unfortunately,it is unknown how BS affects neurocircuitry after weight loss.We aimed to examine effects of BS on the basal activity of brain areas involved in reward and motivation processing, emotion, memory, and gut-brain interaction. We combined resting-state fMRI with amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation(ALFF) and Granger causality analysis(GCA) to assess interactions between regions within the frontal-mesolimbic circuitry in 16 obese subjects(OB) and 22 normal-weight(NW) subjects. The OB group was studied at baseline and 1 month post BS.Comparisons between OB and NW,and preand post BS showed significant differences in ALFF in areas involved in drive(caudate, orbitofrontal cortex(OFC)),arousal(thalamus),and conditioning/memory(amygdala,hippocampus)(P < 0.05,FDR correction).GCA revealed that in the OB group, the OFC had greater connectivity to limbic regions(amygdala, hippocampus, and medial thalamus) and the caudate.Post BS,the connectivity of the OFC to limbic regions decreased, whereas the connectivity from the amygdala and hippocampus to the caudate and thalamus was enhanced, particularly in subjects with lower body mass index(BMI).OFC activation in the OB group was associated with BMI prior to surgery, and changes in OFC post surgery were associated with alterations in BMI.Overall, the functional connectivity of the OFC was significantly decreased. As it is important for salience attribution and connected to limbic brain regions involved with emotional reactivity and conditioning after BS,its significant association with BMI changes indicates the contribution of OFC changes to the improved control of eating behavior after surgery. | Shijun DUAN Gang JI Guanya LI Yang HU Wenchao ZHANG Jia WANG Dardo TOMASI Nora DVOLKOW Yongzhan NIE Guangbin CUI Gene-Jack WANG Yi ZHANG | 2020 | Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,7: | 0
Cretaceous integrative stratigraphy, biotas, and paleogeographical evolution of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas显示文摘The Cretaceous Period is a vital time interval in deciphering the evolutionary history of the Neo-Tethys Ocean and the convergence of different plates and blocks across the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau.A detailed stratigraphic framework and paleogeographic patterns are the basis for understanding the evolution of the Neo-Tethys Ocean and the formation of the QinghaiTibetan Plateau. Here, the Cretaceous stratigraphy, biota, paleogeography, and major geological events in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau are analyzed to establish an integrative stratigraphic framework, reconstruct the paleogeography during the Cretaceous Period, and decode the history of the major geological events. The Cretaceous rocks of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding area are predominantly marine deposits, with a small amount of interbedded marine-terrestrial and terrestrial conponents. The Indus-Yarlung Tsangpo Suture Zone was responsible for the deposition of deep marine sediments dominated by ophiolite suites and radiolarian silicalite. To the south, the Tethys Himalayas and Indus Basin received marine sediments of varying depths and lithology;to the north, the Xigaze and Ladakh forearc basins are also filled with marine sediments. The Lhasa Block,Karakorum Block, western Tarim Basin, and West Burma block consist of shallow marine, interbedded marine-terrestrial,and terrestrial sediments. The Qiangtang Basin and other areas are dominated by terrestrial sedimentation. The Cretaceous strata of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas are widely distributed and diversified, with abundant foraminifera, calcareous nannofossils, radiolarians, ammonites, bivalves, and palynomorphs. On the basis of integrated lithostratigraphic, biostratigraphic, geochronologic, and chemostratigraphic analyses,we proposed herein a comprehensive stratigraphic framework for the Cretaceous Period of the eastern Neo-Tethys.By analyzing the Cretaceous biota of different biogeographic zones from eastern Neo-Tethys and its surrounding areas,we reconstructed the paleobiogeography of different periods of eastern NeoTethys. The Cretaceous paleogeographic evolution of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas can be divided into three phases:(1)gradual breakup of the Indian Plate from the Australia-Antarctica continent and the early collision phase of the Lhasa-Qiangtang blocks(145-125 Ma);(2)northward drift of the Indian Plate and the collision phase of the Lhasa-Qiangtang blocks(125-100 Ma);(3)rapid northward drift of the Indian Plate, formation of the Tarim-Tajik-Karakorum Bay,and early uplift of the Gangdise Mountains(100-66 Ma).The Indus-Tethys Himalayan biota underwent a transition from the cold-water type in the high latitudes of the southern hemisphere to the warm-water type near the equator from the Early Cretaceous to the MidCretaceous. The biodiversity and abundance of the eastern Neo-Tethys Ocean increased gradually in the Early Cretaceous, peaking in the Mid-Cretaceous,and decreased sharply during the late Late Cretaceous(late Maastrichtian).Along with the northward drift of the Indian Plate and subduction of the Neo-Tethys,the eastern Neo-Tethys and its surrounding areas experienced a series of major geological events, including the formation of the large igneous province, oceanic anoxia events, and mass extinction, etc. | Dangpeng XI Guobiao LI Shijun JIANG Xin RAO Tian JIANG Tianyang WANG Zuohuan QIN Yasu WANG Jianzhong JIA Muhammad KAMRAN Zhongye SHI Yuyang WU Panxi WANG Lixin SUN Qinggao ZENG Xiaoqiao WAN | 2024 | Science China Earth Sciences2024,67,4: | 0
