| 1 | Degradation of pyrene by immobilized microorganisms in saline-alkaline soil显示文摘Biodegradation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) is very difficult in saline-alkaline soil due to the inhibition of microbial growth under saline-alkaline stress.The microorganisms that can most effectively degrade PAHs were screened by introducing microorganisms immobilized on farm byproducts and assessing the validity of the immobilizing technique for PAHs degradation in pyrene-contaminated saline-alkaline soil.Among the microorganisms examined,it was found that Mycobacterium sp.B2 is the best,and can degrade 82.2% and 83.2% of pyrene for free and immobilized cells after 30 days of incubation.The immobilization technique could increase the degradation of pyrene significantly,especially for fungi.The degradation of pyrene by the immobilized microorganisms Mucor sp.F2,fungal consortium MF and co-cultures of MB+MF was increased by 161.7%(P < 0.05),60.1%(P < 0.05) and 59.6%(P < 0.05) after 30 days,respectively,when compared with free F2,MF and MB+MF.Scanning electron micrographs of the immobilized microstructure proved the positive effects of the immobilized microbial technique on pyrene remediation in salinealkaline soil,as the interspace of the carrier material structure was relatively large,providing enough space for cell growth.Co-cultures of different bacterial and fungal species showed different abilities to degrade PAHs.The present study suggests that Mycobacterium sp.B2 can be employed for in situ bioremediation of PAHs in saline-alkaline soil,and immobilization of fungi on farm byproducts and nutrients as carriers will enhance fungus PAH-degradation ability in saline-alkaline soil. | Shanxian Wang Xiaojun Li Wan Liu Peijun Li Lingxue Kong Wenjie Ren Haiyan Wu Ying Tu | 2012 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,9: | 19 |
| 2 | Modeling the impacts of drying trend scenarios on land systems in northern China using an integrated SD and CA model显示文摘Climate-induced drought has exerted obvious impacts on land systems in northern China.Although recent reports by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change(IPCC) have suggested a high possibility of climate-induced drought in northern China,the potential impacts of such drying trends on land systems are still unclear.Land use models are powerful tools for assessing the impacts of future climate change.In this study,we first developed a land use scenario dynamic model(iLUSD) by integrating system dynamics and cellular automata.Then,we designed three drying trend scenarios(reversed drying trend,gradual drying trend,and acceleration of drying trend) for the next 25 years based on the IPCC emission scenarios and considering regional climatic predictions in northern China.Finally,the impacts of drying trend scenarios on the land system were simulated and compared.An accuracy assessment with historic data covering 2000 to 2005 indicated that the developed model is competent and reliable for understanding complex changes in the land use system.The results showed that water resources varied from 441.64 to 330.71 billion m3 among different drying trend scenarios,suggesting that future drying trends will have a significant influence on water resource and socioeconomic development.Under the pressures of climate change,water scarcity,and socioeconomic development,the ecotone(i.e.,transition zone between cropping area and nomadic area) in northern China will become increasingly vulnerable and hotspots for land-use change.Urban land and grassland would have the most prominent response to the drying trends.Urban land will expand around major metropolitan areas and the conflict between urban and cultivated land will become more severe.The results also show that previous ecological control measures adopted by the government in these areas will play an important role in rehabilitating the environment.In order to achieve a sustainable development in northern China,issues need to be addressed such as how to arrange land use structure and patterns rationally,and how to adapt to the pressures of climate change and socioeconomic development together. | HUANG QingXu HE ChunYang LIU ZhiFeng SHI PeiJun | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,4: | 10 |
| 3 | Effect of filter-feeding fish silver carp on phytoplankton species and size distribution in surface water:A field study in water works显示文摘Silver carp were introduced into the pre-sedimentation pond to control excessive phytoplankton in raw water.The effectiveness of the filter-feeding silver carp on phytoplankton control and the effect of silver carp on phytoplankton community were investigated.The results showed that Microcystis could be effectively removed by silver carp stocked in the pre-sedimentation pond,and simultaneously,the concentration of single-cell phytoplankton increased obviously.The difference in phytoplankton species and singlecell phytoplankton size between in the water and in the gut of silver carp indicated that phytoplankton smaller than 5 μm,such as Chamydomonas and Platymonas,were almost not be filtered by silver carp,phytoplankton with the size between 5 and 20 μm could be partly filtered,and large size phytoplankton,mainly colony-forming Microcystis could be filtered almost completely.These filterfeeding characteristics directly caused the phytoplankton size distribution biased toward miniaturization.Therefore,this biological treatment using silver carp could be applied only to deal with groups of Microcystis-dominated eutrophic water,and was not appropriate in water bodies where single-cell micro phytoplankton were dominant.Especially when silver carp are used in water treatment,a cautious attitude should be taken based on the evaluation of phytoplankton biomass and species structure features in raw water. | Hua Ma Fuyi Cui Zhiquan Liu Zhenqiang Fan Wenjie He Peijun Yin | 2010 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,2: | 9 |

| 5 | Hydrogen production from coke oven gas over LiNi/γ-Al_2O_3 catalyst modified by rare earth metal oxide in a membrane reactor显示文摘The performance of LiNi/γ-Al2O3 catalysts modified by rare earth metal oxide(La2O3 or CeO2 ) packed on BCFNO membrane reactor was discussed for the partial oxidation of methane(POM) in coke oven gas(COG) at 875 C. The NiO/γ-Al2O3 catalysts with different amounts of La2O3 and CeO2 were prepared with the same preparation method and under the same condition in order to compare the reaction performance(oxygen permeation,CH 4 conversion,H 2 and CO selectivity) on the membrane reactor. The results show that the oxygen permeation flux increased significantly with LiNiREO x /γ-Al2O3(RE = La or Ce) catalysts by adding the element of rare earth especially the Ce during the POM in COG. Such as,the Li15wt%CeO2 9wt%NiO/γ-Al2O3 catalyst with an oxygen permeation flux of 24.71 ml cm 2 min 1 and a high CH 4 conversion was obtained in 875 C. The resulted high oxygen permeation flux may be due to the added Ce that inhibited the strong interaction between Ni and Al2O3 to form the NiAl2O4 phase. The plane wave expansion method is used to obtain the scattering waves from the single nanohole. The multiple scattering effects are taken into consideration by summing the scat- tered waves from all scatterers and performing the configuration averaging of random distributed scatterers. | 11 | Evaluation of Shale Reservoir Quality by Geophysical Logging for Shuijingtuo Formation of Lower Cambrian in Yichang Area, Central Yangtze显示文摘Taking the shale of Shuijingtuo Formation of Lower Cambrian in Yichang area as the research object,the shale reservoir characteristics are comprehensively evaluated and classified by fitting regression and formula calculation method in this study,using laboratory testing and geophysical logging data.The results show that the interpretation data of ECS(elemental capture spectroscopy)logging has a high correlation with the measured minerals data,which can be a good method to evaluate the minerals component of the shale.The calculated content of brittle minerals at the lower part of Shuijingtuo Formation is the relatively highest,generally more than 40%,which is the most favorable segment for fracturing.The correlation coefficient between the interpretation data of CMR(combinable nuclear magnetic resonance)logging and the result of laboratory porosity test is 0.97,which can effectively and accurately evaluate the reservoir porosity.The evaluation results show that the porosity of the lower member of Shuijingtuo Formation is generally greater than 3%,while that of the upper member is generally less than 3%.The lower segment is with the relative optimal physical conditions.There is a good correlation between the acoustic logging data and the gas bearing content testing results.A gas bearing content evaluation model is established.The results show that the gas bearing content of the lower 20 m shale is generally more than 2%,indicating that the lower part is a shale gas enrichment segment.Mechanical parameters such as Young modulus,Poisson ratio and brittleness index of shale reservoir are evaluated by using the logging data of P-wave time difference and S-wave time difference.The continuous 15 m shale at the lower part is with the relatively optimal low Poisson ratio,high Young modulus and high brittleness index,developing the optimum brittle condition.Based on the evaluation and classification of above parameters,the shale is divided into three types.The TypeⅠis the optimal,mainly located at the bottom.Its thickness is 8.5 m in total.The TypeⅡmainly develops at the middle part.The TypeⅢis the worst,mainly at the upper part. | Xiaohong Chen Lin Chen Shu Jiang An Liu Shengyuan Luo Hai Li Peijun Li Ping Chen | 2021 | Journal of Earth Science2021,32,4: | 3 |
