MIWI and piRNA-mediated cleavage of messenger RNAs in mouse testes显示文摘piRNA 机械在调停以它的角色著名 transposons 的 epigenetic silencing。 Peng Zhang Jun-Yan Kang Lan-Tao GOU Jiajia Wang Yuanchao Xue Geir Skogerboe Peng Dai Da-Wei Huang Runsheng Chen Xiang-Dong Fu Mo-Fang Liu Shunmin He 2015Cell Research2015,25,2:35
Profiling and bioinformatics analysis of differentially expressed circular RNAs in human intervertebral disc degeneration显示文摘The functional changes of nucleus pulposus (NP) cells are considered to be the initiating factors of intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD), and the differentially expressed circRNAs in NP cells may play an important role in the process of IDD. To identify circular RNAs (circRNAs) associated with human IDD, we isolated the NP cells from human degenerated and non-degenerated intervertebral disc and identified NP cells by microscopy and cell proliferation. CircRNA microarray expression profiles were obtained from NP cells of degenerated and non-degenerated intervertebral disc and further validated by quantitative reverse transcription PCR (qRTPCR). The expression data were analyzed by bioinformatics. Microarray analysis identified 7294 circRNAs differentially expressed in degenerated human IDD NP cells. Among them, 3724 circRNAs were up-regulated and 3570 circRNAs were down-regulated by more than 2 folds. After validating by qRT-PCR, we predicted the possible miRNAs of the top dysregulated circRNAs using TargetScan, and miRanda. Furthermore, Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis showed that the most modulated circRNAs regulate the viability, degradation, apoptosis and oxidative stress in NP cells, and the possible mechanism underlying IDD was discussed. These results revealed that circRNAs may play a role in IDD and might be a promisi ng can didate molecular target for gene therapy.Shunmin Wang Jingchuan Sun Haisong Yang Weiguo Zou Bing Zheng Yu Chen Yongfei Guo Jiangang Shi 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,6:4
Construction of mesoporous ceria-supported gold catalysts with rich oxygen vacancies for efficient CO oxidation显示文摘Bearing unique redox nature and high oxygen storage capacity,ceria(CeO_(2))has always been a promising CO oxidation catalyst support for gold(Au)catalysts and the like.Herein,a series of Au-CeO_(2)-P(P stands for pH value)samples was prepared by a co-precipitation method with the assistance of an alkaline environment and amino groups functionalized ordered mesoporous polymer(OMP-NH_(2)).Afterward,all samples described above were characterized that the Au-CeO_(2)-P catalysts are made of Au-Ce-O solid solution and Au nanoparticles(NPs)supported on CeO_(2).It turns out that OMP-NH_(2) is not just a simple sacrificial template for mesoporous structure, but also plays an important role as an amino source, explaining the presence of rich oxygen vacancies.Due to the concentration of oxygen vacancies in Au-Ce-O solid solution is the key factor for the oxygen mobility of CO oxidation, the catalytic results also demonstrate that the catalytic activity of Au-CeO_(2)-P catalysts is related to the concentration of their oxygen vacancies.Moreover,Au-CeO_(2)-9.6 with a highest concentration of oxygen vacancies(as high as 13.98%)in Au-CeO_(2)-P catalysts exhibits the best catalytic activity(complete conversion at 10℃).Xin Shen Wang Li Shunmin Ding Xiaohua Ma Shaohua Wu Weiming Xiao Rong Zeng Sanguo Hong Chao Chen 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,3:2

Genomes of 12 fig wasps provide insights into the adaptation of pollinators to fig syconia显示文摘Figs and fig pollinators are one of the few classic textbook examples of obligate pollination mutualism. The specific dependence of fig pollinators on the relatively safe living environment with sufficient food sources in the enclosed fig syconia implies that they are vulnerable to habitat changes. However, there is still no extensive genomic evidence to reveal the evolutionary footprint of this long-term mutually beneficial symbiosis in fig pollinators. In fig syconia, there are also non-pollinator species. The non-pollinator species differ in their evolutionary and life histories from pollinators. We conducted comparative analyses on 11 newly sequenced fig wasp genomes and one previously published genome. The pollinators colonized the figs approximately 66.9 million years ago, consistent with the origin of host figs.Compared with nonpollinators, many more genes in pollinators were subject to relaxed selection.Seven genes were absent in pollinators in response to environmental stress and immune activation.Pollinators had more streamlined gene repertoires in the innate immune system, chemosensory toolbox, and detoxification system. Our results provide genomic evidence for the differentiation between pollinators and nonpollinators. The data suggest that owing to the long-term adaptation to the fig, some genes related to functions no longer required are absent in pollinators.Jinhua Xiao Xianqin Wei Yi Zhou Zhaozhe Xin Yunheng Miao Hongxia Hou Jiaxing Li Dan Zhao Jing Liu Rui Chen Liming Niu Guangchang Ma Wenquan Zhen Shunmin He Jianxia Wang Xunfan Wei Weihao Dou Zhuoxiao Sui Haikuan Zhang Shilai Xing Miao Shi Dawei Huang 2021Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,3:1
Monitoring of Cerebral Oxygenation by Near-infrared Spectroscopy during Cardiopulmonary Bypass in Infants显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the use of near-infrared spectroscopy for monitoring cerebral oxygenation under different cardiopulmonary bypass models. Method: Twenty-four patients with ventricular septal defect and pulmonary hypertension undergoing open-heart surgery were assigned eight each to three groups, with respect to different cardiopulmonary bypass models: moderate hypothermia cardiopulmonary bypass, deep hypothermia low flow and deep hypothermia circulatory arrest. For each patient, cerebral oxygenation with near-infrared spectroscopy were monitored and the relative concentration changes in cerebral oxygenated hemoglobin, deoxygenated hemoglobin and oxidized cytochrome aa3 were calculated. Electroencephalography, biochemical indicators such as neuron-specific enolase and lactate, and performed correlation analyses for near-infrared spectroscopy data and biochemical indicators were also measured. Results: Near-infrared spectroscopy data and biochemical indicators for moderate hypothermia cardiopulmonary bypass and deep hypothermia low flow group showed no correlation. For deep hypothermia circulatory arrest group, oxygenated hemoglobin signal declined to a plateau (nadir) during the circulatory arrest period. The duration from reaching nadir until reperfusion “oxygenated hemoglobin signal nadir-time', and the minimum values of oxygenated hemoglobin, and oxidized cytochrome aa3 were closely correlated with increasing neuron-specific enolase and lactate. And, all patients whose oxygenated hemoglobin signal nadir-time was less than 35 min were free from behavioral evidence of brain injury. Conclusion: Near-infrared spectroscopy data including oxygenated hemoglobin signal nadir-time and the minimum of oxygenated hemoglobin and oxidized cytochrome aa3 showed strong correlation with other cerebral function assessment for deep hypothermia circulatory arrest. Oxygenated hemoglobin signal nadir-time determined by near-infrared spectroscopy can be useful in predicting the safe duration of circulatory arrest.Su Zhaokang Huang Jihong Wang Shunmin 2006工程科学(英文版)2006,4,3:0
Was Wuhan the early epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic?——a critique显示文摘Recently, Worobey et al.(2022) published a report entitled ‘The Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in Wuhan was the early epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic' that succinctly summarizes their study [1]. A pre-print version of this study had earlier elicited a series of highprofile media coverages [2,3]. All these reports deliver a social-political message that the Huanan market is the epicenter of COVID-19.Yanan Cao Lingling Chen Hua Chen Yupeng Cun Xiaofeng Dai Hongli Du Feng Gao Fengbiao Guo Yalong Guo Pei Hao Shunmin He Shunping He XiongLei He Zheng Hu Boon-Peng Hoh Xin Jin Qian Jiang Qinghua Jiang Asifullah Khan Hong-Zhi Kong Jinchen Li Shuai Cheng Li Ying Li Qiang Lin Jianquan Liu Qi Liu Jian Lu Xuemei Lu Shujin Luo Qinghua Nie Zilong Qiu Tieliu Shi Xiaofeng Song Jianzhong Su Sheng-ce Tao Chaolong Wang Chuan-Chao Wang Guo-Dong Wang Jiguang Wang Qi Wu Shaoyuan Wu Shuhua Xu Yu Xue Wenjun Yang Zhaohui Yang Kai Ye Yuan-Nong Ye Li Yu Fangqing Zhao Yiqiang Zhao Weiwei Zhai Dandan Zhang Liye Zhang Houfeng Zheng Qi Zhou Tianqi Zhu Ya-ping Zhang 2023National Science Review2023,10,4:0
Exploring noncoding variants in genetic diseases:from detection to functional insights显示文摘Previous studies on genetic diseases predominantly focused on protein-coding variations, overlooking the vast noncoding regions in the human genome. The development of high-throughput sequencing technologies and functional genomics tools has enabled the systematic identification of functional noncoding variants. These variants can impact gene expression, regulation, and chromatin conformation, thereby contributing to disease pathogenesis. Understanding the mechanisms that underlie the impact of noncoding variants on genetic diseases is indispensable for the development of precisely targeted therapies and the implementation of personalized medicine strategies. The intricacies of noncoding regions introduce a multitude of challenges and research opportunities. In this review, we introduce a spectrum of noncoding variants involved in genetic diseases, along with research strategies and advanced technologies for their precise identification and in-depth understanding of the complexity of the noncoding genome. We will delve into the research challenges and propose potential solutions for unraveling the genetic basis of rare and complex diseases.Ke Wu Fengxiao Bu Yang Wu Gen Zhang Xin Wang Shunmin He Mo-Fang Liu Runsheng Chen Huijun Yuan 2024Journal of Genetics and Genomics2024,51,2:0

Highly Uniform Alkali Doped Cobalt Oxide Derived from Anionic Metal-Organic Framework:Improving Activity and Water Tolerance for CO Oxidation显示文摘A sequence of alkali metal cation-exchanged Co metal-organic frameworks(Co-MOFs),therein after denoted as M@Co-MOF,M=Na+,K+,Rb\and Cs+,was prepared and used as the precursors to obtain the corresponding alkali doped cobalt oxide(defined as M/C03O4,M=Na+,K\Rb\and Cs+)through calcination under air atmosphere. The cobalt oxide modified by unifbnn alkali metals exhibited a significant promotion of catalytic activity for CO oxidation. The activity of M/Co3O4 decreased in the order of Cs+>Na+>K+>Rb+.Experimental and theoretical results revealed that the anionic skeleton of Co-MOF could tacilely adsorb alkali metal cations and play a cnicial role in the formation of higlily unilonn alkali doped cobalt oxide. The further characterizations, such as temperature-programmed reduction of H2(H2-TPR),oxygen temperature-programmed desorption(O2-TPD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),and in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transiorm(DRIFT)spectra demonstrated that the enlianced catalytic activity is originated from the interfacial electron transfer as well as weakened the Co-O bond strength, which promoted oxygen desorption from CO3O4 and fomiation of cobalt species with the lower valence state. The Cs/Co3O4 catalyst was maintained for 60 h without deactivation and still showed a high activity in the presence of water.LEI Huijin ZHANG Xinlu JIN Jiongke WANG Shuhua DING Shunmin ZHANG Ning CHEN Chao 2020Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2020,36,5:0
