1Precise nanomedicine for intelligent therapy of cancer显示文摘Precise nanomedicine has been extensively explored for efficient cancer imaging and targeted cancer therapy, as evidenced by a few breakthroughs in their preclinical and clinical explorations. Here, we demonstrate the recent advances of intelligent cancer nanomedicine, and discuss the comprehensive understanding of their structure-function relationship for smart and efficient cancer nanomedicine including various imaging and therapeutic applications, as well as nanotoxicity. In particular, a few emerging strategies that have advanced cancer nanomedicine are also highlighted as the emerging focus such as tumor imprisonment, supramolecular chemotherapy, and DNA nanorobot. The challenge and outlook of some scientific and engineering issues are also discussed in future development. 3Predicting the Potential Distribution of Rubia cordifolia L.in China显示文摘[Objectives]We intend to conduct a study to predict habitat suitability and geographic distribution of Rubia cordifolia L.,to find the most suitable ecological environment for its growth,and to provide a theoretical basis for the development and cultivation of R.cordifolia L.industry.[Methods]Based on the environmental factors and the occurrence data,we predicted the potential geographic distribution of R.cordifolia L.in China by combining the MaxEnt model and ArcGIS.[Results]The training set and test set AUC were respectively 0.963 and 0.946,indicating that the MaxEnt model predicted well.The wettest monthly precipitation,precipitation in July,precipitation of driest season,and average monthly temperature in September and April were the dominant environmental factors affecting the distribution of R.cordifolia L.The highly habitable areas were mainly concentrated in central,eastern and northern China.[Conclusions]The results of this study can be used as a reference for the development of R.cordifolia L.industry in related areas.Wei QIN Suping JIANG Xueke ZHANG Dingkang CHEN Shoujin LIU Daiyin PENG 2021Medicinal Plant2021,12,3:2
4CRISPR-Cas adaptive immune systems in Sulfolobales:genetic studies and molecular mechanisms显示文摘CRISPR-Cas systems provide the small RNA-based adaptive immunity to defend against invasive genetic elements in archaea and bacteria.Organisms of Sulfolobales,an order of thermophilic acidophiles belonging to the Crenarchaeotal Phylum,usually contain both type I and typeⅢCRISPR-Cas systems.Two species,Saccharolobus solfataricus and Sulfolobus islandicus,have been important models for CRISPR study in archaea,and knowledge obtained from these studies has greatly expanded our understanding of molecular mechanisms of antiviral defense in all three steps:adaptation,expression and crRNA processing,and interference.Four subtypes of CRISPR-Cas systems are common in these organisms,including I-A,I-D,Ⅲ-B,andⅢ-D.These cas genes form functional modules,e.g.,all genes required for adaptation and for interference in the I-A immune system are clustered together to form aCas and i Cas modules.Genetic assays have been developed to study mechanisms of adaptation and interference by different CRISPR-Cas systems in these model archaea,and these methodologies are useful in demonstration of the protospacer-adjacent motif(PAM)-dependent DNA interference by I-A interference modules and multiple interference activities byⅢ-B Cmr systems.Ribonucleoprotein effector complexes have been isolated for SulfolobalesⅢ-B andⅢ-D systems,and their biochemical characterization has greatly enriched the knowledge of molecular mechanisms of these novel antiviral immune responses.Zhenxiao Yu Suping Jiang Yuan Wang Xuhui Tian Pengpeng Zhao Jianan Xu Mingxia Feng Qunxin She 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,5:2

6Ion flux dropout observed near dipolarization front显示文摘An ion flux dropout near the dipolarization front(DF) at around XGSM=-11 REin the Earth's plasma sheet was observed by Time History of Events and Macroscale Interaction during substorms(THEMIS) on March31, 2009. The ion differential energy fluxes at energies from 450 e V to 150 ke V measured by the ESA and SST instruments from THC began to decrease about 2 s before the detection of the DF and reached a local minimum 6 s later. Then, the ion fluxes gradually increased to form a dropout around the DF. The spatial extent of the dropout was about 4,000 km. For energies above 20 ke V, the ion fluxes after the dropout are greater than those before it,contrary to the fluxes at energies below 20 ke V. The associated ion density variation indicates that the ion flux dropout coincides with the ion density dropout. Taking advantage of multipoint observations, THD, THC, and THE detected the same DF consecutively. Only THC detected an obvious ion flux dropout; THD observed an indistinct one about 2 s before THC; no high-energy(E [ 30 ke V) ion flux dropout was observed by THE. 8Studies on kinetics of reactions between phycobiliproteins and hydroxyl radicals by a pulse radiolytic technique显示文摘Scavenging of hydroxyl radical (·OH) by phycobiliproteins (C-phycocyanin, Allophyco- cyanin and R-phycoerythrin) was studied by competitive kinetics methods. Hydroxyl radicals were generated from pulse radiolysis of aqueous systems saturated with nitrous oxide (N2O). 9Efficient harvesting of green microalgae cells by magnetic flocculated Fe_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles combined with chitosan显示文摘Microalgae harvesting remains a challenging step in microalgae industrialization,thereby provoking the necessity to explore sustainable and economically feasible approaches.This research investigated the use of magnetic flocculated nanoparticles in the harvesting of the common microalgae Chlorella pyrenoidosa and Scenedesmus obliquus.The results showed that magnetic flocculated nanoparticles efficiently adsorbed negatively charged microalgae cells,and a magnetic field could adsorb the magnetic flocculated nanoparticles,thereby harvesting the microalgae cells.Harvesting efficiency was remarkably increased at the optimum magnetic field strength of 0.5 T with the magnetic flocculated nanoparticles at 0.738 g/L,and microalgae broth at pH 9.0,whereas the recovery rates of both C.pyrenoidosa and S.obliquus were around 97%and the sedimentation speed of both was above 2.63 cm/min.This study exemplified the magnetic flocculated nanoparticles-based approach to effectively harvest the microalgae cells.Sifen Liu Suping Fu Zhongjie Wen Xiang Wang Tianjiu Jiang Hongye Li 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,4:0
10Improvement of saponification extraction method for fatty acids separation from geological samples显示文摘The conventional saponification method could result in lower recoveries and artificial changes of longchain fatty acids. The main reason is the error judgment of the intermediate layer suspended between the aqueous and organic layer during the liquid–liquid extraction process.This study shows that the intermediate layer consists of lots of medium- to long-chain carboxylic salts for their special physical and chemical properties. An improved saponification extraction method is also developed and the results show that the carboxylic salts distributed in the intermediate layer could be obtained completely, which greatly enhances the authenticity and accuracy of fatty acid analysis. 12Stress regulation of photosynthetic system of Phaeocystis globosa and their hemolytic activity显示文摘Blooms of Phaeocystis globosa have been reported accountable for massive fi sh mortality worldwide.The toxigenic mechanisms of P.globosa,however,remain largely unclear due to the multiple structures and/or synergistic or antagonistic ef fects of hemolytic compounds.External stressors could lead to the regulation of photoprotective or antioxidative defense system,as well as the potential hemolytic activity.Therefore,the light-induced photosynthetic system,including the accessory photosynthetic growth,the relative electron transfer rate(ETR),photosynthetic e ffi ciency(F_(v)/F_(m)),quantum yield of photosystem II(Yield),together with the hemolytic activity of P.globosa were investigated under variable environmental conditions in the present study.Results confirmed that hemolytic activity of P.globosa was initiated by the light,but inhibited by low temperature(16℃),high light intensity(>100μmol/(m^(2)·s)),and iron-limited conditions.Interestingly,the hemolytic activity was not impacted by photosynthetic electron inhibitors(Diuron,atrazine,paraquat,and dibromothymoquinone),which signifi cantly inhibited the photosynthetic activity of P.globosa.The correlated response of hemolytic and photosynthetic activity of P.globosa under those environmental factors suggested that the hemolytic compounds of P.globosa would be involved in the photosynthetic process but not in the electron transfer chain of P.globosa.Ni WU Suping FU Xinru SONG Mengmeng TONG Tianjiu JIANG 2022Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2022,40,6:0
13DNA tetrahedron-based split aptamer probes for reliable imaging of ATP in living cells显示文摘Accurate detection and imaging of adenosine triphosphate(ATP)expression levels in living cells is of great value for understanding cell metabolism,physiological activities,and pathologic mechanisms.Here,we developed a DNA tetrahedron-based split aptamer probe(TD probe)for ratiometric fluorescence imaging of ATP in living cells.The TD probe is constructed by hybridizing two split ATP aptamer probes(Apt-a and Apt-b)to a DNA tetrahedron assembled by four DNA oligonucleotides(T1,T2,T3 and T4).In the presence of ATP,the TD probe will alter its structure from the open to closed state,thus bringing the separated donor and acceptor fluorophores into close proximity for high fluorescence resonance energy transfer(FRET)signals.The TD probe exhibits low cytotoxicity,efficient cell internalization and good biological stability.Moreover,based on the FRET“off”to“on”signal output mode,the TD probe can effectively avoid false-positive signals from complex biological matrices,which is significant for long-term reliable imaging in living cells.In addition,by changing the split aptamers attached to DNA tetrahedron,the proposed strategy may be extended for detecting various intracellular targets.Collectively,this strategy provides a valuable sensing platform for biomarkers analysis in living cells,thus having great potential for early clinical diagnosis and therapeutic evaluation.Lie Li Jie Wang Huishan Jiang Xiaohong Wen Mei Yang Suping Li Qiuping Guo Kemin Wang 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,3:0
14Al-induced proteomics changes in tomato plants over-expressing a glyoxalase I gene显示文摘Glyoxalase I(Gly I)is the first enzyme in the glutathionine-dependent glyoxalase pathway for detoxification of methylglyoxal(MG)under stress conditions.Transgenic tomato‘Money Maker’plants overexpressing tomato SlGlyI gene(tomato unigene accession SGN-U582631/Solyc09g082120.3.1)were generated and homozygous lines were obtained after four generations of self-pollination.In this study,SlGlyI-overepxressing line(GlyI),wild type(WT,negative control)and plants transformed with empty vector(ECtr,positive control),were subjected to Al-treatment by growing in Magnavaca’s nutrient solution(pH 4.5)supplemented with 20μM Al3+ion activity.After 30 days of treatments,the fresh and dry weight of shoots and roots of plants from Al-treated conditions decreased significantly compared to the non-treated conditions for all the three lines.When compared across the three lines,root fresh and dry weight of GlyI was significant higher than WT and ECtr,whereas there was no difference in shoot tissues.The basal 5mm root-tips of GlyI plants expressed a significantly higher level of glyoxalase activity under both non-Al-treated and Al-treated conditions compared to the two control lines.Under Al-treated condition,there was a significant increase in MG content in ECtr and WT lines,but not in GlyI line.Quantitative proteomics analysis using tandem mass tags mass spectrometry identified 4080 quantifiable proteins and 201 Al-induced differentially expressed proteins(DEPs)in roottip tissues from GlyI,and 4273 proteins and 230 DEPs from ECtr.The Al-down-regulated DEPs were classified into molecular pathways of gene transcription,RNA splicing and protein biosynthesis in both GlyI and ECtr lines.The Alinduced DEPs in GlyI associated with tolerance to Al3+and MG toxicity are involved in callose degradation,cell wall components(xylan acetylation and pectin degradation),oxidative stress(antioxidants)and turnover of Al-damaged epidermal cells,repair of damaged DNA,epigenetics,gene transcription,and protein translation.A protein–protein association network was constructed to aid the selection of proteins in the same pathway but differentially regulated in GlyI or ECtr lines.Proteomics data are available via ProteomeXchange with identifiers PXD009456 under project title‘25Dec2017_Suping_XSexp2_ITAG3.2’for SlGlyI-overexpressing tomato plants and PXD009848 under project title‘25Dec2017_Suping_XSexp3_ITAG3.2’for positive control ECtr line transformed with empty vector.Xudong Sun Hui Li Santosh Thapa Sasikiran Reddy Sangireddy Xiaobo Pei Wei Liu Yuping Jiang Shaolan Yang Dafeng Hui Sarabjit Bhatti Suping Zhou Yong Yang Tara Fish Theodore W.Thannhauser 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:0
