| 2 | Effect of Lichong decoction on expression of Bcl-2 and Bcl-2-associated X protein mRNAs in hysteromyoma model rat显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To study on effects of Lichong decoction on expression of apoptosis-controlling genes,Bcl-2 and Bcl-2-associated X protein(Bax) mRNAs in hysteromyoma tissue of the hysteromyoma model rat.METHODS:Fifty Wistar female rats were randomly divided into a normal group,a model group,a Lichong decoction group,a Guizifuling capsule group and a Mifepristone group.The hysteromyoma rat model was established by intraperitoneal injection of exogenous estrin and progestogens.Pathological examination of uterine tissue,uterine coefficient and uterine transverse diameter were made under optic microscope and expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax mRNAs in uterine tissue in the groups were detected with real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction(PCR) technique.RESULTS:After treatment,under microscope it was found that in the Lichong decoction group myometrium thinned,muscle fiber slightly overgrowth or long and thin,regular arrangement,inserting phenomenon of inner circular muscle and external longitudinal muscle was occasionally or not seen in the Lichong decoction group.The uterine coefficient and the uterine transverse diameter significantly decreased(P<0.01),and Bcl-2 mRNA expression significantly decreased(P<0.01) and Bax mRNA expression significantly increased in hysteromyoma tissue(P<0.01) in the Lichong decoction group as compared with the model group.CONCLUSION:Therapeutic effects of Lichong decoction on hysteromyoma is related with decrease of Bcl-2 mRNA expression and increase of Bax mRNA expression. | Donghua Li Xin Xu Ruiya Qian Jianguo Geng Yan Zhang Xiaolei Xie Yasong Wang Xiaoli Zou | 2013 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,2: | 24 |
| 3 | Identification of long-range transport pathways and potential sources of PM2.5 and PM10 in Beijing from 2014 to 2015显示文摘Trajectory clustering, potential source contribution function(PSCF) and concentration-weighted trajectory(CWT) methods were applied to investigate the transport pathways and identify potential sources of PM_(2.5)and PM_(10) in different seasons from June 2014 to May 2015 in Beijing.The cluster analyses showed that Beijing was affected by trajectories from the south and southeast in summer and autumn. In winter and spring, Beijing was not only affected by the trajectories from the south and southeast, but was also affected by trajectories from the north and northwest. In addition, the analyses of the pressure profile of backward trajectories showed that backward trajectories, which have important influence on Beijing, were mainly distributed above 970 h Pa in summer and autumn and below 950 h Pa in spring and winter. This indicates that PM_(2.5)and PM_(10) were strongly affected by the near surface air masses in summer and autumn and by high altitude air masses in winter and spring. Results of PSCF and CWT analyses showed that the largest potential source areas were identified in spring, followed by winter and autumn,then summer. In addition, potential source regions of PM_(10) were similar to those of PM_(2.5). There were a clear seasonal and spatial variation of the potential source areas of Beijing and the airflow in the horizontal and vertical directions. | 4 | A novel method for purification of recombinant adeno-associated virus vectors on a large scale显示文摘A novel method for recombinant adeno-associ-ated virus (rAAV) purification on large scale is described. The method involves three steps, including chloroform treatment, PEG/NaCl precipitation and chloroform extraction. The whole procedure can be performed in four hours. Using this purification method, we can reproducibly obtain, from 4 × 109 of proviral cells cultured in roller bottles, purified rAAV-GFP stocks with titers of around 5×1013 particles/mL and purity greater than 95%. The infectious titers of the vector stocks were up to 2×1012 TU/mL, thus particle-to-infectivity rate was about 25. Under an electronic microscope, most rAAV particles appeared full and a few were in intermediate form. Empty particles were rarely seen. The purified rAAV-GFP stocks have been successfully used in in vitro and in vivo transfection experiments. | 8 | Geochemical changes across the Ordovician-Silurian transition on the Yangtze Platform,South China显示文摘The trace element and rare earth element(REE) variations across the Ordovician-Silurian succession are presented from two outcrop sections on the Yangtze Platform:the Nanbazi section,Guizhou Province,deposited in a shallow platform interior setting,and the Wangjiawan section,Hubei Province,deposited in a deeper basinal environment.Geochemical analysis of closely spaced samples through three intervals,the Wufeng,Guanyinqiao and Longmaxi,revealed vast palaeoceanographic changes.Some geochemical proxies,including Th/U,Ni/Co,V/Cr,and V/(V+Ni) ratios,together with sedimentary facies and biotic data,indicate that an anoxic condition on the most of the Yangtze Platform during the Wufeng and Longmaxi intervals,but an oxic condition during the Guanyinqiao time.The shift of the anoxic to the oxic environment during the Guanyinqiao time coincided with a global sea-level lowstand,in parallel with the global glaciation.The Longmaxian anoxic environment was a result of a global sea-level rise,which may be synchronized with a mainly catastrophic event in the latest Ordovician.Although the two sections generally show similar variation patterns of trace and REE concentrations and some element ratios,a minor difference occurs between the Wangjiawan and Nanbazi sections,likely reflecting a difference in depositional setting during the accumulation.Such an oceanic oxygen-level variation may add a useful constraint to the current arguments on the cause and consequence of the latest Ordovician mass extinction. | YAN DeTian CHEN DaiZhao WANG QingChen WANG JianGuo | 2009 | Science China Earth Sciences2009,52,1: | 17 |
| 9 | Nonlinear dynamic analysis of cantilevered piezoelectric energy harvesters under simultaneous parametric and external excitations显示文摘The nonlinear dynamics of cantilevered piezoelectric beams is investigated under simultaneous parametric and external excitations. The beam is composed of a substrate and two piezoelectric layers and assumed as an Euler–Bernoulli model with inextensible deformation. A nonlinear distributed parameter model of cantilevered piezoelectric energy harvesters is proposed using the generalized Hamilton's principle. The proposed model includes geometric and inertia nonlinearity, but neglects the material nonlinearity. Using the Galerkin decomposition method and harmonic balance method, analytical expressions of the frequency–response curves are presented when the first bending mode of the beam plays a dominant role. Using these expressions, we investigate the effects of the damping, load resistance, electromechanical coupling, and excitation amplitude on the frequency–response curves. We also study the difference between the nonlinear lumped-parameter and distributedparameter model for predicting the performance of the energy harvesting system. | 10 | Tea-Grown Soils and Tea Quality in Sichuan and Chongqing, China显示文摘Made teas and typical tea-grown soils in Sichuan and Chongqing were collected to investigate soil nutrients, related soil properties and tea quality. The tea-grown soils in Sichuan and Chongqing are distributed mainly in mountainous areas. The high annual precipitation (over 1100 mm), precipitous soil slopes, low cohesion among soil particles and high soil porosity suggested that intensive erosion and leaching might occur in these soils. Moreover, they were very acidic and poor in mineral nutrients such as N, P, K, Ca and Mg except S. The average content of total S was 20.40 g kg-1, much higher than that of organic matter in these soils, revealing that S in the tea-grown soils existed mainly in inorganic forms and very little in organic forms. Water-extractable S accounted for only a small amount of total S, which showed that most parts of sulfur in these soils were insoluble in W8ter. K and S varied greatly in made teas. The concentrations of N and P, however, varied little in these teas even though they differentiated significantly in the tea-grown soils. The high concentration of nitrogen in made teas could result in the high free amino acids and low polyphenol of teas. Significantly positive correlation was established between potassium and polyphenol in made teas. | 17 | Haze insights and mitigation in China: An overview显示文摘The present article provides an overview of the chemical and physical features of haze in China, focusing on the relationship between haze and atmospheric fine particles, and the formation mechanism of haze. It also summarizes several of control technologies and strategies to mitigate the occurrence of haze. The development of instruments and the analysis of measurements of ambient particles and precursor concentrations have provided important information about haze formation. Indeed, the use of new instruments has greatly facilitated current haze research in China. Examples of insightful results include the relationship between fine particles and haze, the chemical compositions and sources of particles, the impacts of the aging process on haze formation, and the application of technologies that control the formation of haze.
