Study on the mechanism of isotope fractionation in soil water during the evaporation process under equilibrium condition显示文摘In this study, with the method of vacuum extraction, two evaporative processes of soil water and free water under equilibrium condition were simulated. For each sample, water vapor was condensed by liquid nitrogen and was collected in four time intervals. From the analysis of hydrogen and oxygen isotopic compositions of the water collected at different times, it was discovered that the isotope fractionation of soil water also follows the mode, which is just the same as the evaporative process of free water. The relationship between the stable hydrogen and oxygen isotopes in residual water showed that the simulative evaporation line was close to the global meteoric water line (GMWL) under the equilibrium condition at about 20℃. Comparison of the two types of evaporative processes indicated that the isotope fractionation and evaporation velocity of soil water were only slightly modified by the Van der Waals force. | SUN Xiaoxu CHEN Jiansheng TAN Hongbing RAO Wenbo WANG Yongsen LIU Xiaoyan SU Zhiguo | 2009 | Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2009,28,4: | 4

Maternal butyrate supplementation affects the lipid metabolism and fatty acid composition in the skeletal muscle of offspring piglets显示文摘Maternal sodium butyrate(SB)intake has important effects on offspring growth and development. This study aimed to investigate the impacts of maternal SB supplementation during gestation and lactation on fatty acid composition and lipid metabolism in the offspring skeletal muscle of pigs.Twenty sows(Yorkshire, parity 2 to 3)were assigned to the control group(diets without SB,n=10)and SB group(diets with 0.1%SB,n=10).The results showed maternal SB supplementation throughout gestation and lactation increased(P<0.05)body weight of offspring piglets at weaning. The concentrations of triglyceride in plasma and milk were enhanced(P<0.05).Maternal SB induced(P<0.05)lipid accumulation with increased expression of peroxisome proliferator activated receptorγ(PPARγ)by enrichment of the acetylation of H3 acetylation K27(H3 K27)in offspring skeletal muscle.Meanwhile, the concentrations of C18:2 n-6,C18:3 n-3,total polyunsaturated fatty acid(PUFA),n-6 PUFA and n-3 PUFA decreased(P<0.05)in skeletal muscle of weaning piglets derived from SB sows.Together, these results showed that maternal SB supplementation could influence offspring growth performance, lipid metabolism and fatty acid composition of the skeletal muscle. | Yongsen Zhao Danping Wang Yanping Huang Dangdang Wu Xiaoming Ji Xiaobing Zhou Dong Xia Xiaojing Yang | 2021 | Animal Nutrition2021,,4: | 1

On the origin of SARS-CoV-2——The blind watchmaker argument显示文摘In the comparison with SARS-CoVof 2003,SARS-CoV-2 is extremely well adapted to the human populations and its adaptive shift from the animal host to humans must have been even more extensive.By the blind watchmaker argument, such an adaptive shift can only happen prior to the onset of the current pandemic and with the aid of step-by-step selection. | Chung-I Wu Haijun Wen Jian Lu Xiao-dong Su Alice CHughes Weiwei Zhai Chen Chen Hua Chen Mingkun Li Shuhui Song Zhaohui Qian Qihui Wang Bingjie Chen Zixiao Guo Yongsen Ruan Xuemei Lu Fuwen Wei Li Jin Le Kang Yongbiao Xue Guoping Zhao Ya-Ping Zhang | 2021 | Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,9: | 1
Intermittent F-actin Perturbations by Magnetic Fields Inhibit Breast Cancer Metastasis显示文摘F-actin(filamentous actin)has been shown to be sensitive to mechanical stimuli and play critical roles in cell attachment, migration, and cancer metastasis, but there are very limited ways to perturb F-actin dynamics with low cell toxicity.Magnetic field is a noninvasive and reversible physical tool that can easily penetrate cells and human bodies. Here,we show that 0.1/0.4-T 4.2-Hz moderate-intensity low-frequency rotating magnetic field-induced electric field could directly decrease F-actin formation in vitro and in vivo, which results in decreased breast cancer cell migration, invasion, and attachment. Moreover, lowfrequency rotating magnetic fields generated significantly different effects on F-actin in breast cancer vs.noncancerous cells, including F-actin number and their recovery after magnetic field retrieval.Using an intermittent treatment modality,low-frequency rotating magnetic fields could significantly reduce mouse breast cancer metastasis, prolong mouse survival by 31.5 to 46.0%(P<0.0001),and improve their overall physical condition. Therefore, our work demonstrates that low-frequency rotating magnetic fields not only can be used as a research tool to perturb F-actin but also can inhibit breast cancer metastasis through F-actin modulation while having minimum effects on normal cells, which reveals their potential to be developed as temporal-controlled,noninvasive,and high-penetration physical treatments for metastatic cancer. | Xinmiao Ji Xiaofei Tian Shuang Feng Lei Zhang Junjun Wang Ruowen Guo Yiming Zhu Xin Yu Yongsen Zhang Haifeng Du Vitalii Zablotskii Xin Zhang | 2023 | Research2023,,4: | 0
Enhanced switching electric field and breakdown strength of epoxy composites with core-shell silicon carbide nanoparticles显示文摘Silicon carbide(SiC)is widely used to improve the non-linear conductivity of non-linear resistive field grading composite. In this paper, the SiC nanoparticles are modified into core-shell nanoparticles with silica(SiO_(2))coating on the surface and are characterised by transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction, respectively. The 7 wt%SiC@SiO_(2)/epoxy nanocomposite is then prepared, and the pure epoxy and 7 wt%SiC/epoxy nanocomposite are prepared as a contrast. The relative permittivity, thermally stimulated current, conductivity and breakdown strength are studied, respectively. The presence of SiO_(2)shell around SiC nanoparticles has a great effect on the relative permittivity and trap distribution. The epoxy nanocomposites show non-linear conductivity characteristics, compared with pure epoxy. The 7 wt%SiC@SiO_(2)/epoxy nanocomposite has higher switching electric field and breakdown strength than the 7 wt%SiC/epoxy nanocomposite, which is helpful for the application of non-linear resistive field grading composite in higher-voltage equipment or components. | Yongsen Han Zi Wang Jian Sun Zhonghua Li | 2023 | High Voltage2023,8,3: | 0
Achieving ultra-stable and superior electricity generation by integrating transistor-like design with lubricant armor显示文摘Extensive work have been done to harvest untapped water energy in formats of raindrops, flows, waves, and others. However, attaining stable and efficient electricity generation from these low-frequency water kinetic energies at both individual device and large-scale system level remains challenging, partially owing to the difficulty in designing a unit that possesses stable liquid and charge transfer properties, and also can be seamlessly integrated to achieve preferential collective performances without the introduction of tortuous wiring and redundant node connection with external circuit. Here,we report the design of water electricity generators featuring the combination of lubricant layer and transistor-like electrode architecture that endows enhanced electrical performances in different working environments.Such a design is scalable in manufacturing and suitable for facile integration, characterized by significant reduction in the numbers of wiring and nodes and elimination of complex interfacing problems, and represents a significant step toward large-scale,real-life applications. | Yuxin Song Wanghuai Xu Yuan Liu Huanxi Zheng Miaomiao Cui Yongsen Zhou Baoping Zhang Xiantong Yan Lili Wang Pengyu Li Xiaote Xu Zhengbao Yang Zuankai Wang | 2022 | The Innovation2022,3,5: | 0

Hardening effect and precipitation evolution of an isothermal aged Mg-Sm based alloy显示文摘The age-hardening behavior and precipitation evolution of an isothermal aged Mg-5Sm-0.6Zn-0.5Zr(wt.%) alloy have been systematically investigated by means of transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and atomic-resolution high-angle annular dark field scanning transmission electron microscopy(HAADF-STEM). The Vickers hardness of the present alloy increases first and then decreases with ageing time. The sample aged at 200 ℃ for 10 h exhibits a peak-hardness of 90.5 HV. In addition to the dominant β_(0)’ precipitate(orthorhombic,a = 0.642 nm, b = 3.336 nm and c = 0.521 nm) formed on {11-20}α planes, a certain number of γ’’ precipitate(hexagonal, a = 0.556 nm and c = 0.431 nm) formed on basal planes are also observed in the peak-aged alloy. Significantly, the basal γ’’ precipitate is more thermostable than prismatic β_(0)’ precipitate in the present alloy. β_(0)’ precipitates gradually coarsened and were even likely to transform into β_(1) phase(face centered cubic, a = 0.73 nm) with the increase of ageing time, which accordingly led to a gradual decrease in number density of precipitates and finally resulted in the decreased hardness and mechanical property in the over-aged alloys. | Kai Guan Chuang Li Zhizheng Yang Yongsen Yu Qiang Yang Wenwen Zhang Zhiping Guan Cheng Wang Min Zha Huiyuan Wang | 2023 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2023,11,12: | 0
