1A complete sequence and comparative analysis of a SARS-associated virus(Isolate BJ01)显示文摘The genome sequence of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)-associated virus provides essential information for the identification of pathogen(s), exploration of etiology and evolution, interpretation of transmission and pathogenesis, development of diagnostics, prevention by future vaccination, and treatment by developing new drugs. We report the complete genome sequence and comparative analysis of an isolate (BJ01) of the coronavirus that has been recognized as a pathogen for SARS. The genome is 29725 nt in size and has 11 ORFs (Open Reading Frames). It is composed of a stable region encoding an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (composed of 2 ORFs) and a variable region representing 4 CDSs (coding sequences) for viral structural genes (the S, E, M, N proteins) and 5 PUPs (putative uncharacterized proteins). Its gene order is identical to that of other known coronaviruses. The sequence alignment with all known RNA viruses places this virus as a member in the family of Coronaviridae. Thirty putative substitutions have been identified by comparative analysis of the 5 SARS- associated virus genome sequences in GenBank. Fifteen of them lead to possible amino acid changes (non-synonymous mutations) in the proteins. Three amino acid changes, with predicted alteration of physical and chemical features, have been detected in the S protein that is postulated to beinvolved in the immunoreactions between the virus and its host. Two amino acid changes have been detected in the Mprotein, which could be related to viral envelope formation. Phylogenetic analysis suggests the possibility of non-human origin of the SARS-associated viruses but provides noevidence that they are man-made. 2Anaerobic microbiologically influenced corrosion mechanisms interpreted using bioenergetics and bioelectrochemistry: A review显示文摘Microbiologically influenced corrosion(MIC) is a major cause of corrosion damages, facility failures, and financial losses, making MIC an important research topic. Due to complex microbiological activities and a lack of deep understanding of the interactions between biofilms and metal surfaces, MIC occurrences and mechanisms are difficult to predict and interpret. Many theories and mechanisms have been proposed to explain MIC. In this review, the mechanisms of MIC are discussed using bioenergetics, microbial respiration types, and biofilm extracellular electron transfer(EET). Two main MIC types, namely EET-MIC and metabolite MIC(M-MIC), are discussed. 3Evaluation of measurement uncertainty based on grey system theory for small samples from an unknown distribution显示文摘To evaluate measurement uncertainty for small sample size and measurement data from an unknown distribution, we propose a grey evaluation method of measurement uncertainty based on the grey relation coefficient. The uncertainty of measurement is analyzed using grey system theory, and the defects of the grey evaluation model of measurement uncertainty (GEMU) are studied. We then establish an improved grey evaluation model of measurement uncertainty (IGEMU). Simulations show that the precision of IGEMU is greater than that of GEMU, and that sample size has only a small effect on the precision of IGEVU. In particular, IGEMU is applied to evaluating measurement uncertainty for small sample size and measurement data from an unknown distribution. 4In vivo theranostics with near-infraredemitting carbon dots—highly efficient photothermal therapy based on passive targeting after intravenous administration显示文摘Carbon dots that exhibit near-infrared fluorescence(NIR CDs)are considered emerging nanomaterials for advanced biomedical applications with low toxicity and superior photostability and targeting compared to currently used photoluminescence agents.Despite progress in the synthesis of NIR CDs,there remains a key obstacle to using them as an in vivo theranostic agent.This work demonstrates that the newly developed sulfur and nitrogen codoped NIR CDs are highly efficient in photothermal therapy(PTT)in mouse models(conversion efficiency of 59%)and can be readily visualized by photoluminescence and photoacoustic imaging.The real theranostic potential of NIR CDs is enhanced by their unique biodistribution and targeting.Contrary to all other nanomaterials that have been tested in biomedicine,they are excreted through the body’s renal filtration system.Moreover,after intravenous injection,NIR CDs are accumulated in tumor tissue via passive targeting,without any active species such as antibodies.Due to their accumulation in tumor tissue without the need for intratumor injection,high photothermal conversion,excellent optical and photoacoustic imaging performance,and renal excretion,the developed CDs are suitable for transfer to clinical biomedical practice.Xin Bao Ye Yuan Jingqin Chen Bohan Zhang Di Li Ding Zhou Pengtao Jing Guiying Xu Yingli Wang Kateřina Holá Dezhen Shen Changfeng Wu Liang Song Chengbo Liu Radek Zbořil Songnan Qu 2018Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1:13
5Removal of dust from flue gas in magnetically stabilized fluidized bed显示文摘A magnetically stabilized fluidized bed(MSFB, 500 mm×2100 mm) was designed to study dust removal from flue gas.Based on the mechanism of dust removal in a fixed bed,the effects on collection efficiency of magnetic field intensity,ratio of flue gas velocity to minimum fluidization velocity,bed height,and particle average diameter,were investigated.Then feasible methods for MSFB to better remove dust were proposed.Over 95% of dust removal with MSFB can be achieved,when stable fluidization is maintained and when magnetic particles are frequently renewed.Yinghui Wang Keting Gui Mingheng Shi Changfeng Li 2008Particuology2008,6,2:8
6Investigation of octupole effects in superheavy nuclei with improved potential-energy-surface calculations显示文摘It has been found that high-order deformation (e.g.β6) can have important effects on the structures of superheavy nuclei. In the present work, we investigate octupole deformation effects on superheavy nuclei with an improved potential-energy-surface (PES) calculation by including reflection-asymmetric deformations in a space of (β2 ,β3 ,β4 , β5). The calculations give various deformations including highly deformed (β2 ≈ 0.4) and superdeformed (β2 ≈ 0.7) shapes. 7NIR-IIb excitable bright polymer dots with deep-red emission for in vivo through-skull three-photon fluorescence bioimaging显示文摘It is of great significance to study the brain structure and function in deep-tissue for neuroscience research and bio-medical applications because of the urgent demand for precise theranostics.Three-photon fluorescence microscopic(3PFM)bioimaging excited by the light in near-infrared IIb(NIR-IIb,1,500–1,700 nm)spectral region is one of the most promising imaging techniques with the advantages of high spatial resolution,large imaging depth,and reduced scattering.Herein,a type of NIR-IIb light excitable deep-red emissive semiconducting polymer dots(P-dots)with bright 3PF and large three-photon absorption cross-section(σ3)at 1,550 nm was prepared.Then the P-dots were functionalized with polystyrene polymer polystyrene graft ethylene oxide functionalized with carboxyl groups(PS-PEG-COOH)and modified with NH2-poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG)to synthesis photochemically stable and biocompatible P-dots nanoparticles(NPs).Further the P-dots NPs were utilized for in vivo 3PFM bioimaging of cerebral vasculature with and without the brain skull under 1,550 nm femtosecond(fs)laser excitation.In vivo 3PFM bioimaging of the mice cerebral vasculature at various vertical depths was obtained.Moreover,a vivid three-dimensional structure of the mice vascular architecture beneath the skull was reconstructed.At the depth of 350μm beneath the brain skull,3.8μm blood vessels could still be clearly recognized.NIR-IIb excitable P-dots assisted 3PFM bioimaging has great potential in accurate deep tissue bioimaging.Nuernisha Alifu Abudureheman Zebibula Hequn Zhang Huwei Ni Liang Zhu Wang Xi Yalun Wang Xueliang Zhang Changfeng Wu Jun Qian 2020Nano Research2020,13,10:6
8Aligned fibrin/functionalized self-assembling peptide interpenetrating nanofiber hydrogel presenting multi-cues promotes peripheral nerve functional recovery显示文摘Nerve guidance conduits with hollow lumen fail to regenerate critical-sized peripheral nerve defects(15 mm in rats and 25 mm in humans),which can be improved by a beneficial intraluminal microenvironment.However,individual cues provided by intraluminal filling materials are inadequate to eliminate the functional gap between regenerated nerves and normal nerves.Herein,an aligned fibrin/functionalized self-assembling peptide(AFG/fSAP)interpenetrating nanofiber hydrogel that exerting synergistic topographical and biochemical cues for peripheral nerve regeneration is constructed via electrospinning and molecular self-assembly.The hydrogel possesses an aligned structure,high water content,appropriate mechanical properties and suitable biodegradation capabilities for nerve repair,which enhances the alignment and neurotrophin secretion of primary Schwann cells(SCs)in vitro,and successfully bridges a 15-mm sciatic nerve gap in rats in vivo.The rats transplanted with the AFG/fSAP hydrogel exhibit satisfactory morphological and functional recovery in myelinated nerve fibers and innervated muscles.The motor function recovery facilitated by the AFG/fSAP hydrogel is comparable with that of autografts.Moreover,the AFG/fSAP hydrogel upregulates the regeneration-associated gene expression and activates the PI3K/Akt and MAPK signaling pathways in the regenerated nerve.Altogether,the AFG/fSAP hydrogel represents a promising approach for peripheral nerve repair through an integration of structural guidance and biochemical stimulation.Shuhui Yang Jinjin Zhu Changfeng Lu Yi Chai Zheng Cao Jiaju Lu Zhe Zhang He Zhao Yin-Yuan Huang Shenglian Yao Xiangdong Kong Peixun Zhang Xiumei Wang 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,2:3
9Effects of droplet size and spray volume parameters on droplet deposition of wheat herbicide application by using UAV显示文摘With the characteristic of flexible and precise,unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)for low volume applications are increasing substantially and quickly around the globe.However,little attention has been paid to the study of wheat herbicides with UAV,especially the research on the spray volume and droplet size of the herbicide sprayed by UAVs.The objectives of this study were to compare the droplet deposition from a typical commercial UAV under four different spray volumes of 7.5 L/hm2,15.0 L/hm2,22.5 L/hm2,and 30.0 L/hm2 and three different volume median diameter(VMD)of 150μm,200μm,and 300μm during winter wheat weeding period.DepositScan software was used to analyze droplet deposition parameters including the percentage of spray coverage and the number of droplets in various sampling positions.The test results showed that the droplet deposition waseffected by each factor andtheirinteractions.When the spray volume was 7.5 L/hm2,the effect of VMD on the percentage of spray coverage was not significant.However,these variation rules were changed to smaller droplets with greater coverage when the spray volume higher than 15.0 L/hm2.In all treatments,the number of droplets increased with decreasing VMD or increasing spray volume.The maximum percentage of spray coverage and the number of droplets that were achieved under the VMD of 150μm and the spray volume of 30.0 L/hm2 were 12.8%and 40.0 droplets/cm2,respectively.The variation coefficients of the percentage of spray coverage and the number of droplets were 29.0%-73.3%and 20.2%-54.1%,respectively.The most uniform deposition was achieved under the spray volume of 15.0 L/hm2and the VMD of 150μm.The results revealed the effect of droplet size and spray volume parameters on droplet deposition,which was useful for guiding farmers on how to use UAVs for weeding in winter wheat fields.Changfeng Shan Guobin Wang Haihong Wang Yingjie Xie Huizheng Wang Shilong Wang Shengde Chen Yubin Lan 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,1:3
10The complete genome of hydrocarbon-degrading Pseudoalteromonas sp. NJ289 and its phylogenetic relationship显示文摘Genus Pseudoalteromonas belongs to Family Pseudoalteromonadaceae in Gammaproteobacteria. A cold-adapted gram-negative bacterium, hydrocarbon-degrading Pseudoalteromonas sp. NJ289, was isolated from sea-ice of the Antarctica region, and sequenced the whole genome through the next generation sequencing platform. The assembly yielded three contigs representing two chromosomes and one plasmid with the sizes of 3.2 Mb, 636 kb and 1.8 kb, respectively. The G+C contents of genome were 40.83% and included 3 589 ORFs. Functional annotation indicated some potential roles in enzymatic activity and environmental adaptability. 13Rice(Oryza sativa L.)seedlings enriched with zinc or manganese:Their impacts on cadmium accumulation and expression of related genes显示文摘Cadmium(Cd)contamination in paddy soils means that the rice produced there may be unsafe for human consumption.A hydroponic study was conducted to enrich rice seedlings with zinc(Zn)or manganese(Mn),and the uptake and transport characteristics of Cd in these Zn-and Mn-rich seedlings were subsequently investigated using a greenhouse pot trial.The results showed that hydroponic cultivation in 10-50μmol L^(-1) Zn(ZnSO_(4)·7 H_(2)O)or50-250μmol L^(-1) Mn(MnSO_(4)·H_(2)O)for 30 d had no significant impact on rice growth,while the accumulation of Zn and Mn was 7.31-18.5 and 25.4-47.7 times higher,respectively,than in the control(no Zn or Mn addition).The accumulation of Cd in the Zn-and Mn-rich rice plants was 26.3%-38.6% and 34.4%-44.5% lower than that in the control,respectively,and the translocation factors of Cd from roots to shoots also decreased by 23.3%-41.3% and 25.3%-37.0%,respectively,after transplanting to Cd-contaminated soils.Furthermore,the relative expression levels of OsIRT1(Oryza sativa iron-regulated transporter 1)were downregulated by 40.1%-59.3% and 16.0%-25.9%,respectively,in the Zn-and Mn-rich seedling roots.This downregulation may indicate a possible mechanism contributing to the reductions in Cd absorption.Field experiments confirmed that the Zn-and Mn-rich seedlings produced brown rice(unpolished rice grains)with significantly decreased concentrations of Cd(34.2%-44.4%).This study provides an innovative method for reducing the food safety risks from rice grown on slightly to moderately Cd-contaminated paddy soils.Gaoxiang HUANG Changfeng DING Yibing MA Yurong WANG Zhigao ZHOU Shun'an ZHENG Xingxiang WANG 2021Pedosphere2021,31,6:2
14Carboniferous ridge subduction in the Xingmeng Orogenic Belt:Constraints from geochronological,geochemical,and Sr-Nd-Hf isotopic analysis of strongly peraluminous granites and gabbro-diorites in the Xilinhot micro-continent显示文摘The Xingmeng Orogenic Belt evolved through a long-lived orogeny involving multiple episodes of subduction and accretion.However,there is a debate on its tectonic evolution during the Late Paleozoic.Here,we report geochemical,geochronological,and isotopic data from strongly peraluminous granites and gabbro-diorites from the Sunidzuoqi-Xilinhot region.Zircon U-Pb ages suggest that the intrusive rocks were emplaced during the Early Carboniferous(333-322 Ma).The granites exhibit geochemical characteristics similar to S-type granites,with high SiO_(2)(72.34-76.53 wt.%),Al_(2)O_(3)(12.45-14.65 wt.%),and A/CNK(1.07-1.16),but depleted Sr,Nb,and Ta contents.They exhibit positiveε_(Nd)(t)andε_(Hf)(t)values(-0.3 to 2.8 and 2.7-5.7,respectively)and young Nd and Hf model ages(T_(DM2)(Nd)=853-1110 Ma and T_(DM2)(Hf)=975-1184 Ma),suggesting that they may be the partial melting products of heterogeneous sources with variable proportions of pelite,psammite,and metabasaltic rocks.The meta-gabbro-diorites from the Maihantaolegai pluton have low SiO_(2)(47.06-53.49 wt.%)and K_2O(0.04-0.99 wt.%)contents,and demonstrate slight light rare earth element(REE)depletion in the chondritenormalized REE diagrams.They have high zirconε_(Hf)(t)values(14.41-17.34)and young Hf model ages(T_(DM2)(Hf)=230-418 Ma),indicating a more depleted mantle source.The variations of the Sm/Yb and La/Sm ratios can thus be used to assess the melting degree of the mantle source from 5%to 20%,suggesting a quite shallow mantle melting zone.We propose that the petrogenesis and distribution of the strongly peraluminous granites and gabbro-diorites,as well as the tectonic architecture of the region,can be explained by a ridge subduction model.Based on these results,and previous studies,we suggest a southward ridge subduction model for the Sunidzuoqi-Xilinhot region.Changfeng Liu Zhiguang Zhou Guosheng Wang Chen Wu Hongying Li Shiwei Ma 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,3:2

19Boosting Interfacial Polarization Through Heterointerface Engineering in MXene/Graphene Intercalated-Based Microspheres for Electromagnetic Wave Absorption显示文摘Multi-layer 2D material assemblies provide a great number of interfaces beneficial for electromagnetic wave absorption.However,avoiding agglomeration and achieving layer-by-layer ordered intercalation remain chal-lenging.Here,3D reduced graphene oxide(rGO)/MXene/TiO_(2)/Fe_(2)C lightweight porous microspheres with periodical intercalated structures and pronounced inter-facial effects were constructed by spray-freeze-drying and microwave irradiation based on the Maxwell–Wagner effect.Such approach reinforced interfacial effects via defects introduction,porous skeleton,multi-layer assembly and multi-compo-nent system,leading to synergistic loss mechanisms.The abundant 2D/2D/0D/0D intercalated heterojunctions in the microspheres provide a high density of polari-zation charges while generating abundant polarization sites,resulting in boosted interfacial polarization,which is verified by CST Microwave Studio simulations.By precisely tuning the 2D nanosheets intercalation in the heterostructures,both the polarization loss and impedance matching improve significantly.At a low filler loading of 5 wt%,the polarization loss rate exceeds 70%,and a minimum reflection loss(RLmin)of-67.4 dB can be achieved.Moreover,radar cross-section simulations further confirm the attenuation ability of the optimized porous microspheres.These results not only provide novel insights into understanding and enhancing interfacial effects,but also constitute an attractive platform for implementing heterointerface engineering based on customized 2D hierarchical architectures.Ge Wang Changfeng Li Diana Estevez Peng Xu Mengyue Peng Huijie Wei Faxiang Qin 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,9:1
