| 1 | Recent Advances of Persistent Luminescence Nanoparticles in Bioapplications显示文摘Persistent luminescence phosphors are a novel group of promising luminescent materials with afterglow properties after the stoppage of excitation.In the past decade,persistent luminescence nanoparticles(PLNPs)with intriguing optical properties have attracted a wide range of attention in various areas.Especially in recent years,the development and applications in biomedical fields have been widely explored.Owing to the efficient elimination of the autofluorescence interferences from biotissues and the ultra-long near-infrared afterglow emission,many researches have focused on the manipulation of PLNPs in biosensing,cell tracking,bioimaging and cancer therapy.These achievements stimulated the growing interest in designing new types of PLNPs with desired superior characteristics and multiple functions.In this review,we summarize the works on synthesis methods,bioapplications,biomembrane modification and biosafety of PLNPs and highlight the recent advances in biosensing,imaging and imaging-guided therapy.We further discuss the new types of PLNPs as a newly emerged class of functional biomaterials for multiple applications.Finally,the remaining problems and challenges are discussed with suggestions and prospects for potential future directions in the biomedical applications. | Shuqi Wu Yang Li Weihang Ding Letong Xu Yuan Ma Lianbing Zhang | 2020 | Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,6: | 8 |
| 2 | Preparation and properties of Nd,Yb:GGG polycrystalline nanopowders显示文摘Gadolinium gallium garnet(GGG)polycrystalline powders doped with Nd,Yb were prepared by co-precipitation method.The structure,phase and properties of powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),scanning electron microscope(SEM),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS)and fluorescence spectroscopy.XRD analysis indicated that the crystallization of Nd,Yb:GGG powders occur at 900��.SEM analysis showed that the morphology of the powders was irregular and the average radius is 68.74 nm.FTIR analysis manifested that pure Nd,Yb:GGG powders were formed at 900��.The fluorescence spectrum revealed that the most strong emission of Nd,Yb:GGG powders was 1030 nm,which was attributed to 2F5/2��2F7/2 of Yb3+.The possible formation mechanism of Nd,Yb:GGG powders were preliminarily discussed. | Yanmin DONG Jing SUN Wensheng YU Weihang LI Fei TENG | 2012 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2012,1,4: | 3 |
| 3 | A bone-targeted engineered exosome platform delivering siRNA to treat osteoporosis显示文摘The complex pathogenesis of osteoporosis includes excessive bone resorption,insufficient bone formation and inadequate vascularization,a combination which is difficult to completely address with conventional therapies.Engineered exosomes carrying curative molecules show promise as alternative osteoporosis therapies,but depend on specifically-functionalized vesicles and appropriate engineering strategies.Here,we developed an exosome delivery system based on exosomes secreted by mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs).The engineered exosomes BT-Exo-siShn3,took advantage of the intrinsic anti-osteoporosis function of these special MSC-derived exosomes and collaborated with the loaded siRNA of the Shn3 gene to enhance the therapeutic effects.Modification of a bone-targeting peptide endowed the BT-Exo-siShn3 an ability to deliver siRNA to osteoblasts specifically.Silencing of the osteoblastic Shn3 gene enhanced osteogenic differentiation,decreased autologous RANKL expression and thereby inhibited osteoclast formation.Furthermore,Shn3 gene silencing increased production of SLIT3 and consequently facilitated vascularization,especially formation of type H vessels.Our study demonstrated that BT-Exo-siShn3 could serve as a promising therapy to kill three birds with one stone and implement comprehensive anti-osteoporosis effects. | Yongzhi Cui Yuanyuan Guo Li Kong Jingyu Shi Ping Liu Rui Li Yongtao Geng Weihang Gao Zhiping Zhang Dehao Fu | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,4: | 3 |
| 4 | Data-driven Optimal Control Strategy for Virtual Synchronous Generator via Deep Reinforcement Learning Approach显示文摘This paper aims at developing a data-driven optimal control strategy for virtual synchronous generator (VSG) in the scenario where no expert knowledge or requirement for system model is available. Firstly, the optimal and adaptive control problem for VSG is transformed into a reinforcement learning task. Specifically, the control variables, i.e., virtual inertia and damping factor, are defined as the actions. Meanwhile, the active power output, angular frequency and its derivative are considered as the observations. Moreover, the reward mechanism is designed based on three preset characteristic functions to quantify the control targets: ① maintaining the deviation of angular frequency within special limits;② preserving well-damped oscillations for both the angular frequency and active power output;③ obtaining slow frequency drop in the transient process. Next, to maximize the cumulative rewards, a decentralized deep policy gradient algorithm, which features model-free and faster convergence, is developed and employed to find the optimal control policy. With this effort, a data-driven adaptive VSG controller can be obtained. By using the proposed controller, the inverter-based distributed generator can adaptively adjust its control variables based on current observations to fulfill the expected targets in model-free fashion. | 6 | Energy-efficient computing-in-memory architecture for AI processor: device, circuit, architecture perspective显示文摘An artificial intelligence(AI) processor is a promising solution for energy-efficient data processing, including health monitoring and image/voice recognition. However, data movements between compute part and memory induce memory wall and power wall challenges to the conventional computing architecture.Recently, the memory-centric architecture has been revised to solve the data movement issue, where the memory is equipped with the compute-capable memory technique, namely, computing-in-memory(CIM). In this paper, we analyze the requirement of AI algorithms on the data movement and low power requirement of AI processors. In addition, we introduce the story of CIM and implementation methodologies of CIM architecture. | 9 | A low-energy ion spectrometer with half-space entrance for three-axis stabilized spacecraft显示文摘A low-energy ion spectrometer(LEIS) for use aboard three-axis stabilized spacecraft has been developed to measure ion energy per charge distribution in three-dimensional space with good energy-, angular-and temporal-resolutions. For the standard top-hat electrostatic analyzer used widely in space plasma detection, three-axis stabilized spacecraft makes it difficult to obtain complete coverage of all possible ion arrival directions. We have designed angular scanning deflectors supplementing to a cylindrically symmetric top-hat electrostatic analyzer to provide a half-space field of view as 360°×90°(–45°–+45°), and fabricated the LEIS flight model for detecting magnetospheric ions in geosynchronous orbit. The performance of this payload has been evaluated in detail by a series of simulation and environmental tests, and the payload has also been calibrated through laboratory experiments using a low-energy ion source. | 10 | Birth-and-death evolution of ribonuclease 9 genes in Cetartiodactyla显示文摘RNase9 plays a reproductive function and has been recognized as an important member of the ribonuclease(RNase)A superfamily,a gene family that is widely used as a model for molecular evolutionary studies.Here,we identified 178 RNase9 genes from 95 Cetartiodactyla species that represent all four lineages and 21 families of this clade.Unexpectedly,RNase9experienced an evolutionary scenario of“birth and death”in Ruminantia,and expression analyses showed that duplicated RNase9A and RNase9B genes are expressed in reproductive tissues(epididymis,vas deferens or prostate).This expression pattern combined with the estimate that these genes duplicated during the middle Eocene,a time when Ruminantia become a successful lineage,suggests that the RNase9 gene duplication might have been advantageous for promoting sperm motility and male fertility as an adaptation to climate seasonality changes of this period.In contrast,all RNase9 genes were lost in the Cetacean lineage,which might be associated with their high levels of prostatic lesions and lower reproductive rates as adaptations to a fully aquatic environment and a balance to the demands of ocean resources.This study reveals a complex and intriguing evolutionary history and functional divergence for RNase9 in Cetartiodactyla,providing new insights into the evolution of the RNaseA superfamily and molecular mechanisms for organismal adaptations to the environment. | Datian Lang Xiaoping Wang Chunbing Liu Weihang Geng David M.Irwin Shanyuan Chen Chunqing Li Li Yu Heng Xiao | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,5: | 1 |

| 13 | Influence of rainfall-induced diabatic heating on southern rainfall-northern haze over eastern China in early February 2023显示文摘In early February 2023,there was severe haze on the North China Plain(NCP)that was contemporaneous with heavy rainfall over southern China,which was known as southern rainfall-northern haze(SR-NH).Based on observational and reanalysis data,the meteorological causes of this SR-NH event are investigated in this study using correlation analysis,dynamic diagnostics and numerical experiments.The results show that the anticyclonic anomaly in the Pacific Northwest(also referred to as the northeast Asian anomalous anticyclone)is responsible for the SR-NH.On the one hand,this anticyclonic anomaly leads to persistent rainfall over southern China by causing strong ascending motion in conjunction with an anomalous cyclone over the Chinese mainland and transporting large amounts of water vapor there.On the other hand,it weakens the climatological northerly winds of the NCP through the southeasterly flow,worsening the horizontal diffusion conditions of pollutants.Additionally,the atmospheric stability and relative humidity over the NCP are significantly increased by this anticyclonic anomaly.These conditions result in higher PM2.5concentrations over the NCP.Additional results suggest that this anticyclonic anomaly is related to diabatic heating released by rainfall in southern China,which not only intensifies the rainfall process there(with a contribution of 11.5%)but also induces an anticyclonic anomaly in the upper troposphere of the Pacific Northwest(i.e.,200 hPa).The rainfall-related anticyclonic anomaly reinforces the anticyclonic anomaly in the Pacific Northwest caused by large-scale circulation(with a contribution of 27%)and thus affects haze over the NCP.This study provides a new reference for understanding the contribution of rainfall in southern China to haze over the NCP. | Xiadong AN Wen CHEN Chun LI Lifang SHENG Weihang ZHANG Shangfei HAI Peng HU | 2023 | Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,11: | 0 |

| 15 | Dielectric polymer grafted electrodes enhanced aqueous supercapacitors显示文摘Supercapacitors(SCs)have become increasingly important in electrical energy storage and delivery owing to their high power densities and long lifetimes.Aqueous SCs are promising for large-scale engineering applications because of their low cost and safety.However,the low operating voltage and low energy density of aqueous SCs severely limit their practical applications.In this study,a nanoscale dielectric layer is grafted onto a graphene electrode to achieve both a high operating voltage and enhanced capacitance.Compared with an SC without dielectric grafting,a dielectric-enhanced SC(DESC)shows a higher capacitance by 2200%.The mechanism of the capacitance enhancement can be attributed to three factors:the dielectric polarization,the ions desolvation by the dielectric,and the enhanced quantum capacitance from charge transfer and ion adsorption in the polymer molecules.In addition,a 2.5 V pouch DESC with a 1 M KCl electrolyte is confirmed to cycle up to 50,000 times with a capacitance retention of 87.5%.The DESC presents the optimal electrochemical properties after it is grafted with a 5 nm dielectric layer.This study provides new insights into the design of high-voltage and high-energy-density aqueous SCs. | Shian Dong Kunming Shi Jie Chen Yingke Zhu Hongfei Li Weihang Gao Zhenli Xu Qinglei Liu Xingyi Huang | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,3: | 0 |

| 18 | Impacts of application patterns and incorporation rates of dredged Yellow River sediment on structure and infiltration of saline-alkali soil显示文摘Soil salinization is an issue of global concern.Despite recent evidence indicates that application of sediments into saline-alkali soil in Yellow River Delta as an additive can increase crop yield,its effects on soil structure and infiltration remain uncertain.In this study,the comprehensively analyses were conducted on the soil infiltration and microstructure of the soil treated with three sediment application layers(surface layer at 0-15 cm,lower layer at 15-30 cm,and plough layer at 0-30 cm)and four sediment incorporation rates(0,2%,5%and 10%),using soil column simulation experiment.Results indicated that the dredged Yellow River sediments can improve the infiltration capacity of saline-alkali soil;and the infiltration capacity increased with the rising sediment incorporation rate under the given application pattern.Compared with the control,applying dredged Yellow River sediments at 10%rate at lower layer and plough layer significantly facilitated the soil infiltration of the saline-alkali soil.Soil macro-porosity for T2,T5 and T10 was 26%,52%and 158%more than that for the control,respectively.This phenomenon was attributed to the increased soil macro-porosity,due to the improved soil microstructure with the incorporation of sediment into the saline-alkali soil.Moreover,the cumulative infiltration was fitted better with Kostiakov infiltration model than Horton and Philip models. | Kesheng Li Weihang Kong Wenshuo Xu Chuanxiao Liu | 2022 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,4: | 0 |
