| 3 | Buoyance-driven hydrocarbon accumulation depth and its implication for unconventional resource prediction显示文摘The discovery of unconventional hydrocarbon resources since the late 20th century changed geologists’understanding of hydrocarbon migration and accumulations and provides a solution to energy shortage.In 2016,unconventional oil production in the USA accounted for 41%of the total oil production;and unconventional natural gas production in China accounted for 35%of total gas production,showing strong growth momentum of unconventional hydrocarbons explorations.Unconventional hydrocarbons generally coexist with conventional petroleum resources;they sometimes distribute in a separate system,not coexisting with a conventional system.Identification and prediction of unconventional resources and their potentials are prominent challenges for geologists.This study analyzed the results of 12,237 drilling wells in six representative petroliferous basins in China and studied the correlations and differences between conventional and unconventional hydrocarbons by comparing their geological features.Migration and accumulation of conventional hydrocarbon are caused dominantly by buoyance.Wepropose a concept of buoyance-driven hydrocarbon accumulation depth to describe the deepest hydrocarbon accumulation depth driven dominantly by buoyance;beyond this depth the buoyance becomes unimportant for hydrocarbon accumulation.We found that the buoyance-driven hydrocarbon accumulation depth in petroliferous basins controls the different oil/gas reservoirs distribution and resource potentials.Hydrocarbon migration and accumulations above this depth is dominated by buoyancy,forming conventional reservoirs in traps with high porosity and permeability,while hydrocarbon migration and accumulation below this depth is dominated by non-buoyancy forces(mainly refers to capillary force,hydrocarbon volumeexpansion force,etc.),forming unconventional reservoirs in tight layers.The buoyance-driven hydrocarbon accumulation depths in six basins in China range from 1200mto 4200 m,which become shallowerwith increasing geothermal gradient,decreasing particle size of sandstone reservoir layers,or an uplift in the whole petroliferous basin.The predicted unconventional resource potential belowthe buoyance-driven hydrocarbon accumulation depth in six basins in China is more than 15.71×10^(9) t oil equivalent,among them 4.71×10^(9) t reserves have been proved.Worldwide,94%of 52,926 oil and gas reservoirs in 1186 basins are conventional reservoirs and only 6%of them are unconventional reservoirs.These 94%conventional reservoirs show promising exploration prospects in the deep area below buoyance-driven hydrocarbon accumulation depth. | Xiongqi Pang Chengzao Jia Wenyang Wang Zhangxin Chen Maowen Li Fujie Jiang Tao Hu Ke Wang Yingxun Wang | 2021 | Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,4: | 9 |
| 4 | A unified model for the formation and distribution of both conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon reservoirs显示文摘The discovery and large-scale exploration of unconventional oil/gas resources since 1980s have been considered as the most important advancement in the history of petroleum geology;that has not only changed the balance of supply and demand in the global energy market,but also improved our understanding of the formation mechanisms and distribution characteristics of oil/gas reservoirs.However,what is the difference of conventional and unconventional resources and why they always related to each other in petroliferous basins is not clear.As the differences and correlations between unconventional and conventional resources are complex challenging issues and very critical for resources assessment and hydrocarbon exploration,this paper focused on studying the relationship of formations and distributions among different oil/gas reservoirs.Drilling results of 12,237 exploratory wells in 6 representative petroliferous basins of China and distribution characteristics for 52,926 oil/gas accumulations over the world were applied to clarify the formation conditions and genetic relations of different oil/gas reservoirs in a petroliferous basin,and then to establish a unified model to address the differences and correlations of conventional and unconventional reservoirs.In this model,conventional reservoirs formed in free hydrocarbon dynamic field with high porosity and permeability located above the boundary of hydrocarbon buoyancy-driven accumulation depth limit.Unconventional tight reservoirs formed in confined hydrocarbon dynamic field with low porosity and permeability located between hydrocarbon buoyancy-driven accumulation depth limit and hydrocarbon accumulation depth limit.Shale oil/gas reservoirs formed in the bound hydrocarbon dynamic field with low porosity and ultra-low permeability within the source rock layers.More than 75%of proved reserves around the world are discovered in the free hydrocarbon dynamic field,which is estimated to contain only 10%of originally generated hydrocarbons.Most of undiscovered resources distributed in the confined hydrocarbon dynamic field and the bound hydrocarbon dynamic field,which contains 90%of original generated hydrocarbons,implying a reasonable and promising area for future hydrocarbon explorations.The buried depths of hydrocarbon dynamic fields become shallow with the increase of heat flow,and the remaining oil/gas resources mainly exist in the deep area of“cold basin”with low geothermal gradient.Lithology changing in the hydrocarbon dynamic field causes local anomalies in the oil/gas dynamic mechanism,leading to the local formation of unconventional hydrocarbon reservoirs in the free hydrocarbon dynamic field or the occurrence of oil/gas enrichment sweet points with high porosity and permeability in the confined hydrocarbon dynamic field.The tectonic movements destroy the medium conditions and oil/gas components,which leads to the transformation of conventional oil/gas reservoirs formed in free hydrocarbon dynamic field to unconventional ones or unconventional ones formed in confined and bound hydrocarbon dynamic fields to conventional ones. | Xiongqi Pang Chengzao Jia Junqing Chen Maowen Li Wenyang Wang Qinhong Hu Yingchun Guo Zhangxin Chen Junwen Peng Keyu Liu Keliu Wu | 2021 | Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,2: | 8 |

Previous study has ademonstrated that SUPPRESSOR OF OVEREXPRESSION OF pCONSTANS 1(SOC1) and FLOWERING LOCUS T(FT) integrate m-I the gibberellic acid(GA) signaling pathway and vernalization higpathway in regulating flowering time, but detailed molecular Hmechanisms remain largely unclear. In GA signaling pathway,DELLA proteins are a group of master transcriptional regulators, while in vernalization pathway FLOWERING LOCUS C(FLC) is a core transcriptional repressor that down-regulates the expression of SOC1 and FT. Here, we report that DELLA proteins interact with FLC in vitro and in vivo, and the LHRI domains of DELLAs and the C-terminus of MADS domain of FLC are required for these interactions.Phenotypic and gene expression analysis showed that mutation of FLC reduces while over-expression of FLC enhances the GA response in the flowering process. Further,DELLA-FLC interactions promote the repression ability of FLC on its target genes. | 8 | Effect of Sophora flavescens alkaloid on aerobic vaginitis in gel form for local treatment显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of Sophora flavescens alkaloid(SFA) in gel form on aerobic vaginitis(AV) and the possible mechanism underlying the effects.METHODS: AV rat models were prepared by intravaginal inoculation of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. SFA gel and placebo gel were intravaginally administered. In vivo antibacterial effects,vaginal microenvironment, vaginal smears, pathological tissues of vaginas, and retention of gel in the vaginal cavity were investigated.RESULTS: SFA gel had much higher antibacterial effect than placebo gel. SFA gel protected the vaginal mucosa from erosion of bacteria. At the same time,they inhibited the inflammatory responses, exhibiting little leukocytes and parabasal cells. Furthermore, the number of vaginal Lactobacilli remarkably increased following administration of SFA gel.However, the vaginal p H did not recover to thehealthy acidic levels after treatment due to the buffering effect of gel. | 9 | A new scheme for identifying free surface particles in improved SPH显示文摘The present paper proposes a new scheme for identifying free surface particles in an improved SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics). With the development of the SPH, free surface identification becomes a key challenge in free surface flow simulations, especially for violent breaking water waves. According to numerical tests, existing free surface identified schemes are not reliable for weakly compressible SPH when violent waves are modeled. The new free surface identification scheme suggested here considers changes in density ratio and three auxiliary functions. Although this new scheme originates from a scheme for another meshfree method (MLPG_R method), it includes several improvements, especially developed for the improved SPH. | 11 | Down-staging depth score to predict outcomes in locally advanced rectal cancer achieving ypl stage after neoadjuvant chemo-radiotherapy versus de novo stage pl cohort:A propensity score-matched analysis显示文摘Objective:Prognosis of patients with locally advanced rectal cancer(LARC)but achieving yp T1–2N0 stage after neoadjuvant concurrent chemo-radiotherapy(CRT)has been shown to be favorable.This study aims to determine whether the long-term outcome of yp T1–2N0 cases can be comparable to that of p T1–2N0 cohort that received definitive surgery for early disease.Method:From January 2008 to December 2013,449 consecutive patients with rectal cancer were treated and their outcome maintained in a database.Patients with LARC underwent total mesorectal excision(TME)surgery at4–8 weeks after completion of CRT,and those achieving stage yp I were identified as a group.As a comparison,stage p I group pertains to patients whose initially limited disease was not upstaged after TME surgery alone.After propensity score matching(PSM),comparisons of local regional control(LC),distant metastasis-free survival(DMFS),disease-free survival(DFS)and overall survival(OS)were performed using Kaplan-Meier analysis and log-rank test between yp I and p I groups.Down-staging depth score(DDS),a novel method of evaluating CRT response,was used for subset analysis.Results:Of the 449 patients,168 matched cases were generated for analysis.Five-year LC,DMFS,DFS and OS for stage p I vs.yp I groups were 96.7%vs.96.4%(P=0.796),92.7%vs.73.6%(P=0.025),91.2%vs.73.6%(P=0.080)and 93.1%vs.72.3%(P=0.040),respectively.In the DDS-favorable subset of the yp I group,LC,DMFS,DFS and OS resulted in no significant differences in comparison with the p I group(P=0.384,0.368,0.277 and0.458,respectively).Conclusions:LC was comparable in both groups;however,distant metastasis developed more frequently in down-staged LARC than de novo early stage cases,reflecting the need to improve the efficacy of systemic treatment despite excellent pathologic response.DDS can be an indicator to identify a subset of the yp I group whose longterm oncologic outcomes are as good as those of stage p I cohort. | Ning Li Jing Jin Jing Yu Shuai Li Yuan Tang Hua Ren Wenyang Liu Shulian Wang Yueping Liu Yongwen Song Hui Fang Zihao Yu Yexiong Li | 2018 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,3: | 4 |

| 15 | Ice-wedge Pseudomorphs Showing Climatic Change Since the Late Pleistocene in the Source Area of the Yellow River, Northeast Tibet显示文摘The source area of the Yellow River is located in the northeastern Tibetan Plateau, and is a high-elevation region with the annual mean temperature of-3.9℃. The ice-wedge pseudomorphs discovered in this region are recognized as two types.One was found in sandy gravel beds of the second terrace of the Yellow River. This ice-wedge pseudomorph is characterized by higher ratio of breadth/depth, and are 1~1.4 m wide and about 1 m deep. The bottom border of the ice-wedge pseudomorph is round arc in section. Another discovered in the pedestal of the second terrace has lower ratio of width/depth, and is 0.3~1.0 m wide and 1~2 m deep. Its bottom border is sharp. Based on the TL dating, the former was formed at the middle Holocene (5.69±0.43 ka BP and 5.43±0.41 ka BP),that is, the Megathermal, and the latter was formed at the late Last Glacial Maximum (13.49± 1.43 ka BP).Additionally, the thawing-freezing folders discovered in the late Late Pleistocene proluvium are 39.83±3.84 ka BP in age. A wave-absorbing beach was also considered in the general GN equations. A numerical solution for a level higher than 4 was not feasible in the past with the original GN equations. The GN equations for shallow water waves were simplified here, which make the application of high level (higher than 4) equations feasible. The linear dispersion relationships of the first seven levels were presented. The accuracy of dispersion relationships increased as the level increased. Level 7 GN equations are capable of simulating waves out to wave number times depth . | 19 | Optimal Day-ahead Scheduling of Islanded Microgrid Considering Risk-based Reserve Decision显示文摘Due to the lack of support from the main grid,the intermittency of renewable energy sources(RESs)and the fluctuation of load will derive uncertainties to the operation of islanded microgrids(IMGs).It is crucial to allocate appropriate reserve capacity for the economic and reliable operation of IMGs.With the high penetration of RESs,it faces both economic and environmental challenges if we only use spinning reserve for reserve support.To solve these problems,a multi-type reserve scheme for IMGs is proposed according to different operation characteristics of generation,load,and storage.The operation risk due to reserve shortage is modeled by the conditional value-at-risk(CVaR)method.The correlation of input variables is considered for the forecasting error modeling of RES and load,and Latin hypercube sampling(LHS)is adopted to generate the random scenarios of the forecasting error,so as to avoid the dimension disaster caused by conventional large-scale scenario sampling approaches.Furthermore,an optimal day-ahead scheduling model of joint energy and reserve considering riskbased reserve decision is established to coordinate the security and economy of the operation of IMGs.Finally,the comparison of numerical results of different schemes demonstrate the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed scheme and model. | Zehuai Liu Siliang Liu Qinhao Li Yongjun Zhang Wenyang Deng Lai Zhou | 2021 | Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2021,9,5: | 2 |
