| 1 | Adsorption of VOCs on reduced graphene oxide显示文摘A modified Hummer's method was adopted for the synthesis of graphene oxide(GO) and reduced graphene oxide(rGO). It was revealed that the modified method is effective for the production of GO and rGO from graphite. Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) images of GO and rGO showed a sheet-like morphology. Because of the presence of oxygenated functional groups on the carbon surface, the interlayer spacing of the prepared GO was higher than that of rGO. The presence of \OH and C_O groups in the Fourier transform infrared spectra(FTIR) spectrum and G-mode and 2D-mode in Raman spectra confirmed the synthesis of GO and rGO. rGO(292.6 m^2/g) showed higher surface area than that of GO(236.4 m^2/g). The prepared rGO was used as an adsorbent for benzene and toluene(model pollutants of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)) under dynamic adsorption/desorption conditions. rGO showed higher adsorption capacity and breakthrough times than GO. The adsorption capacity of rGO for benzene and toluene was 276.4 and 304.4 mg/g, respectively.Desorption experiments showed that the spent rGO can be successfully regenerated by heating at 150.0°C. | 2 | Highly efficient Cu/anatase TiO2 {001}-nanosheets catalysts for methanol synthesis from CO2显示文摘Anatase TiO_2 nanosheets(-ns-) with dominant exposed {001} facets were used as support to load copper,and the synthesized Cu/TiO_2-ns catalysts were evaluated for CO_2 hydrogenation to methanol. Under the reaction conditions, P = 3.0 MPa, T = 260 ℃, V(N_2):V(H_2):V(CO_2) = 8:69:23 and gas hourly space velocity(GHSV) = 3600 mL g^(-1)h^(-1), the methanol yield reached an appealing high value, 5.6%. Copper-loading amount, calcination temperature and reduction atmosphere have been investigated in this work, which significantly influence the particle sizes of copper and/or the defect concentration in TiO_2, then leading to different catalytic performance. Characterizations of XRD, EPR, CO_2-TPD and FTIR demonstrate that higher specific surface area of Cu is good for the hydrogenation of CO_2 and adequate amount of Ti^(3+) plays important roles in CO_2 activation. | 3 | Macroporous Ni foam-supported Co_3O_4 nanobrush and nanomace hybrid arrays for high-efficiency CO oxidation显示文摘Herein, we reported the synthesis of well-defined Co_3O_4 nanoarrays(NAs) supported on a monolithic three-dimensional macroporous nickel(Ni) foam substrate for use in highefficiency CO oxidation. The monolithic Co_3O_4 NAs catalysts were obtained through a generic hydrothermal synthesis route with subsequent calcination. By controlling the reaction time,solvent polarity and deposition agent, these Co_3O_4 NAs catalysts exhibited various novel morphologies(single or hybrid arrays), whose physicochemical properties were further characterized by using several analytical techniques. Based on the catalytic and characterization analyses, it was found that the Co_3O_4 NAs-6 catalyst with nanobrush and nanomace arrays displayed enhanced catalytic activity for CO oxidation, achieving an efficient 100% CO oxidation conversion at a gas hourly space velocity(GHSV) 10,000 hr^(-1) and 150°C with longterm stability. | 5 | Rett syndrome-causing mutations compromise MeCP2- mediated liquid—liquid phase separation of chromatin显示文摘Rett syndrome(RTT),a severe postnatal neurodevelopmental disorder,is caused by mutations in the X-linked gene encoding methyl-CpG-binding protein 2(MeCP2).MeCP2 is a chromatin organizer regulating gene expression.RTT-causing mutations have been shown to affect this function.However,the mechanism by which MeCP2 organizes chromatin is unclear.In this study,we found that MeCP2 can induce compaction and liquid-liquid phase separation of nudeosomal arrays in vitro,and DNA methylation further enhances formation of chromatin condensates by MeCP2.Interestingly,RTT-causing mutations compromise MeCP2-mediated chromatin phase separation,while benign variants have little effect on this process.Moreover,MeCP2 competes with linker histone H1 to form mutually exclusive chromatin condensates in vitro and distinct heterochromatin foci in vivo.RTT-causing mutations reduce or even abolish the ability of MeCP2 to compete with histone H1 and to form chromatin condensates.Together,our results identify a novel mechanism by which phase separation underlies MeCP2-mediated heterochromatin formation and reveal the potential link between this process and the pathology of RTT. | Liang Wang Mingli Hu Mei-Qing Zuo Jicheng Zhao Di Wu Li Huang Yongxin Wen Yunfan Li Ping Chen Xinhua Bao Meng-Qiu Dong Guohong Li Pilong Li | 2020 | Cell Research2020,30,5: | 3 |
| 6 | Unraveling specific role of carbon matrix over Pd/quasi-Ce-MOF facilitating toluene enhanced degradation显示文摘Metal organic frameworks(MOFs)derivatives represented by quasi-MOFs have excellent physical and chemical properties and can be applied for the catalytic combustion of volatile organic compounds(VOCs).In this work,Pd/quasi-Ce-BTC synthesized by simple one-step Npyrolysis was applied to the oxidation of toluene,showing excellent toluene catalytic activity(T_(90)=175℃,30000 mL/(g·h)).Microscopic analyses indicate the formation and interaction of a carbon matrix composite quasi-MOF structure interface.The results show that the amorphous carbon matrix formed during the partial pyrolysis of Ce-BTC significantly improves the adsorption and activation capacity of toluene in the reaction,and constructs a reductive system to maintain high concentrations of Ce^(3+)and Pd^(0),which can facilitate the activation and utilization of oxygen in reaction.Quasi in-situ XPS proves that carbon matrix is indirectly involved in the activation and storage of oxygen,and Pd^(0)is the crucial active site for the activation of oxygen.Stability and water resistance tests display good stability of Pd/quasi-Ce-BTC.This work provides a potential method for designing quasi-MOF catalysts towards VOCs effective abatement. | Chunjing Su Zhi Li Mengqi Mao Wenhua Ye Jinping Zhong Quanming Ren Hairong Cheng Haomin Huang Mingli Fu Junliang Wu Yun Hu Daiqi Ye Haihong Xu | 2022 | Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,11: | 2 |
| 7 | Nikethamide affects inspiratory neuron discharge in the nucleus retrofacialis medial region in brain slices from neonatal rats显示文摘BACKGROUND:Nikethamide,a respiratory center stimulant,is widely used in China.However,its effects on the central nervous system and medullary respiratory center remain poorly understood.OBJECTIVE:To investigate the influence of nikethamide on inspiratory neuron discharge in the medial region of the nucleus retrofacialis in neonatal rats,based on the observations addressing rhythmic respiratory discharge generated by the basic medullary respiratory center and various respiration neuron discharges in brain slices.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A controlled,observational study utilizing in vitro neuroelectrophysiology was performed at the Department of Physiology in Southern Medical University between September and December in 2007.MATERIALS:Nikethamide was purchased from Sigma,USA;BL-420E biological signal collection and management system was provided by Chengdu TME Technology,China.METHODS:Isolated medulla-spinal cord preparations were collected from neonatal Sprague Dawley rats,aged 1-3 days.Tissues were divided to include the medial region of the nucleus retrofacialis,ventral respiratory,and dorsal respiratory groups.Subsequently,modified Kreb's solution and 5 μg/mL nikethamide-containing modified Kreb's solution were consecutively perfused into the medial region of the nucleus retrofacialis in neonatal rat brain slices.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Hypoglossal nerve root respiratory-related rhythmic discharge activities and inspiratory neuron discharges were recorded with an adsorption electrode and microelectrode.RESULTS:Nikethamide resulted in prolonged inspiratory neuron discharge time,shortened respiratory cycle and expiratory time.Nikethamide intervention resulted in enhanced integral amplitude of some inspiratory neurons with no changes in discharge frequency or increased discharge frequency in remaining inspiratory neurons with no changes in integral amplitude.CONCLUSION:Nikethamide excites inspiratory neurons in the basic rhythmic respiration and medullary respiratory center,in addition to increased inspiratory neuron and neural network excitability. | Zhibin Qian Mingli Ji Zhonghai Wu | 2010 | Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,4: | 2 |
| 8 | Internal Loads and Bioavailability of Phosphorus and Nitrogen in Dianchi Lake,China显示文摘Sediments have a significant influence on the cycling of nutrient elements in lake environments. In order to assess the distribution characteristics and estimate the bioavailability of phosphorus and nitrogen in Dianchi Lake, organic and inorganic phosphorus and nitrogen forms were analysed. The 210 Pb radiometric dating method was employed to study temporal changes in the phosphorus and nitrogen pools in Dianchi Lake. The result show that the total phosphorus(TP) and total nitrogen(TN) were both at high concentrations, ranging from 697.5–3210.0 mg/kg and 1263.7–7155.2 mg/kg, respectively. Inorganic phosphorus(IP) and total organic nitrogen(TON) were the main constituents, at percentages of 59%–78% and 74%–95%, respectively, in the sediments. Spatially, there was a decreasing trend in phosphorus and nitrogen contents from the south and north to the lake centre, which is related to the distribution pattern of local economic production. The burial rates of the various phosphorus and nitrogen forms increased in same spatially and over time. Particularly in the past two decades, the burial rates doubled, with that TN reached to 1.287 mg/(cm^2·yr) in 2014. As the most reactive forms, nitrate nitrogen(NO_3-N) and ammonia nitrogen(NH_4-N) were buried more rapidly in the south region, implying that the potential for releasing sedimentary nitrogen increased from north to south. Based on their concentrations and burial rates, the internal loads of phosphorus and nitrogen were analysed for the last century. A TP pool of 71597.6 t and a TN pool of 81191.7 t were estimated for Dianchi Lake.
