1Ultrafast epitaxial growth of metre-sized single-crystal graphene on industrial Cu foil显示文摘A foundation of the modern technology that uses single-crystal silicon has been the growth of highquality single-crystal Si ingots with diameters up to 12 inches or larger. For many applications of graphene, large-area high-quality(ideally of single-crystal) material will be enabling. Since the first growth on copper foil a decade ago, inch-sized single-crystal graphene has been achieved. We present here the growth, in 20 min, of a graphene film of(5 ×50) cm^2 dimension with >99% ultra-highly oriented grains.This growth was achieved by:(1) synthesis of metre-sized single-crystal Cu(1 1 1) foil as substrate;(2)epitaxial growth of graphene islands on the Cu(1 1 1) surface;(3) seamless merging of such graphene islands into a graphene film with high single crystallinity and(4) the ultrafast growth of graphene film.These achievements were realized by a temperature-gradient-driven annealing technique to produce single-crystal Cu(1 1 1) from industrial polycrystalline Cu foil and the marvellous effects of a continuous oxygen supply from an adjacent oxide. The as-synthesized graphene film, with very few misoriented grains(if any), has a mobility up to ~23,000 cm^2 V^(-1)s^(-1)at 4 K and room temperature sheet resistance of ~230 Ω/□. 2Meteorological control on CO_2 flux above broad-leaved Korean pine mixed forest in Changbai Mountains显示文摘The impacts of temperature, photosynthetic active radiation (PAR) and vapor pressure deficit (VPD) on CO2 flux above broad-leaved Korean pine mixed forest in the Changbai Mountains were studied based on eddy covariance and meteorological factors measurements.The results showed that, daytime CO2 flux was mainly controlled by PAR and they fit Michaelis-Menten equation. Meanwhile VPD also had an influence on the daytime flux. Drier air reduced the CO2 assimilation of the ecosystem, the drier the air, the more the reduction of the assimilation. And the forest was more sensitive to VPD in June than that in July and August. The respiration of the ecosystem was mainly controlled by soil temperature and they fit exponential equation. It was found that this relationship was also correlated with seasons; respiration from April to July was higher than that from August to November under the same temperature. Daily net carbon exchange of the ecosystem and the daily mean air temperature fit exponential equation. It was also found that seasonal trend of net carbon exchange was the result of comprehensive impacts of temperature and PAR and so on. These resulted in the biggest CO2 uptake in June and those in July and August were next. 3Tiny YOLO Optimization Oriented Bus Passenger Object Detection显示文摘The real-time collection of bus passenger object detection is an essential part of developing a smart bus system.The difficulty of object detection mainly lies in the objective factors,such as:clothing,hair style and accessories,light,etc.Traditional object detection met hods with the arti ficial feature ext rac tion suffers from insufficien t st reng th in expression,generalization,and recogni tion rate.The objec t detection met hod based on deep learning mainly uses the convol utio nal neural net work in deep learning to learn features from a large set of data.The learned features can describe the rich infbrmation inherent in the data,and improve the expression ability of the features as well as the recognition accuracy.Due to too many parameters of the Convolutional neural network(CNN)model,the amount of calculation is too large to be opera ted on the vehicle terminal.To reduce calculation burden and improve the operation speed,we employs the depthwise separable convolution method to optimize the convolutional layer of tiny YOLO net work model.It decomposes a complete convolution operation into depthwise convolution and pointwise convolution,thus reducing the parameter amount of the CNN and improving the operation speed.The experiment results reveal that the speed of bus passenger object detection detected by our improved model is 4 times faster than the previous one but with the nearly same detection accuracy.ZHANG Shuo WU Yanxia MEN Chaoguang LI Xiaosong 2020Chinese Journal of Electronics2020,29,1:15

5Eddy flux corrections for CO_2 exchange in broad-leaved Korean pine mixed forest of Changbai Mountains显示文摘Based on analysis of mechanisms causing energy no-closure and nocturnal low fluxes issues for CO2 exchange studies by eddy covariance method, corrections were done with the raw data sets obtained from Changbai Mountains forest flux site, to evaluate the impacts of sonic anemometer tilt, frequency response limitations and advection on estimation of CO2 exchange, respectively. The results show that the planar fit coordinate transforming method is superior to the streamline coordinate transforming method in tilt correction. The latter could cause a systematical underestimation of eddy fluxes relating with the angle of sensor and terrain tilt. The underestimation of CO2 and energy fluxes for frequency response limitations average 3.0% and 2.0% during daytime, respectively, which increase by 9.0% and 5.5% during nighttime, respectively. The corrections of frequency response limitations are closely related to atmospheric stability. The advection loss of CO2 fluxes is dominated by nocturnal vertical advection, which is at least 18% when the horizontal advection is neglected. 6Development process of muzzle flows including a gun-launched missile显示文摘Numerical investigations on the launch process of a gun-launched missile from the muzzle of a cannon to the free-flight stage have been performed in this paper. The dynamic overlapped grids approach are applied to dealing with the problems of a moving gun-launched missile. The high-resolution upwind scheme(AUSMPW+) and the detailed reaction kinetics model are adopted to solve the chemical non-equilibrium Euler equations for dynamic grids. The development process and flow field structure of muzzle flows including a gun-launched missile are discussed in detail.This present numerical study confirms that complicated transient phenomena exist in the shortly launching stages when the gun-launched missile moves from the muzzle of a cannon to the freeflight stage. The propellant gas flows, the initial environmental ambient air flows and the moving missile mutually couple and interact. 7Remote sensing based monitoring of interannual variations in vegetation activity in China from 1982 to 2009显示文摘Terrestrial vegetation is one of the most important components of the Earth's land surface. Variations in terrestrial vegetation directly impact the Earth system's balance of material and energy. This paper describes detected variations in vegetation activity at a national scale for China based on nearly 30 years of remote sensing data derived from NOAA/AVHRR(1982–2006) and MODIS(2001–2009). Vegetation activity is analyzed for four regions covering agriculture, forests, grasslands, and China's Northwest region with sparse vegetation cover(including regions without vegetation). Relationships between variations in vegetation activity and climate change as well as agricultural production are also explored. The results show that vegetation activity has generally increased across large areas, especially during the most recent decade. The variations in vegetation activity have been driven primarily by human factors, especially in the southern forest region and the Northwest region with sparse vegetation cover. 8Resveratrol induces AMPK and mTOR signaling inhibition-mediated autophagy and apoptosis in multiple myeloma cells显示文摘Resveratrol,a natural compound extracted from the skins of grapes,berries,or other fruits,has been shown to have anti-tumor effects against multiple myeloma(MM)via promoting apoptosis and inhibiting cell viability.In addition to apoptosis,autophagy also plays a significant role in anti-tumor effects.However,whether autophagy is involved in anti-MM activity of resveratrol remains unclear.In this study,human MM cell lines U266,RPMI-8226,and NCI-H929 were treated with resveratrol.Cell Counting Kit-8 assay and colony formation assay were used to measure cell viability.Western blot analysis was used to detect apoptosis-and autophagy-associated proteins.3-Methyladenine(3-MA)was applied to inhibit autophagy.Results showed that resveratrol inhibited cell viability and colony formation via promoting apoptosis and autophagy in MM cell lines U266,RPMI-8226,and NCI-H929.Resveratrol promoted apoptosis-related proteins,Caspase-3 activating poly-ADP-ribose polymerase and Caspase-3 cleavage,and decreased the protein level of Survivin in a dose-dependent manner.Additionally,resveratrol upregulated the levels of LC3 and Beclin1 in a dose-dependent way,indicating that autophagy might be implicated in anti-MM effect of resveratrol.Furthermore,3-MA relieved the cytotoxicity of resveratrol by blocking the autophagic flux.Resveratrol increased the phosphorylation of adenosine monophosphate(AMP)-activated protein kinase and decreased the phosphorylation of mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)and its downstream substrates p70S6K and 4EBP1 in a dose-dependent manner,leading to autophagy.Therefore,our results suggest that resveratrol exerts anti-MM effects through apoptosis and autophagy,which can be used as a new therapeutic strategy for MM in clinic.Ruye Ma Dandan Yu Yu Peng Hongfei Yi Yingcong Wang Taofang Cheng Bingqing Shi Guang Yang Weiming Lai Xiaosong Wu Ye Lu Jumei Shi 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,6:7
9Shift-characteristics and bounds of thermal performance of organic Rankine cycle based on trapezoidal model显示文摘In consideration of the constraints of actual working fluids on theoretical study of organic Rankine cycle(ORC), a trapezoidal cycle(TPC) with theoretical model to simulate ORC was proposed in previous works. In this study, mathematical models of working fluids including model of simulated saturation curve(MSSC) and model of linear saturation lines(MLSL) are proposed and built. Combining mathematical models of working fluids and TPC, the thermodynamic characteristics and principles of TPC(or ORC) can be studied or predicted theoretically. There exists a shift-curve of net power output with corresponding shifttemperature of heating fluid for working fluids, which indicates the shift of net power output from having optimum condition of maximum power to monotonic increase with evaporation temperature. This shift-characteristic is significant to working fluid selection and evaluation of cycle performance, for it indicates that cycle without optimum condition can yield higher net power output than the cycle with optimum condition. Equations to calculate the shift-temperature in ORC(or TPC) are derived; and equations to calculate the highest optimal evaporation temperature and highest maximum power as the highest optimum condition at this shift-temperature are obtained. Based on TPC and its theoretical model, the lower and upper bounds of thermal performance(maximum power and corresponding thermal efficiency) of TPC(or ORC) can be demonstrated and acquired. 10Biocompatibility studies of silk fibroin-based artificial nerve grafts in vitro and in vivo显示文摘Silk fibroin(SF)has been used extensively in the biomedical field including tissue engineering for the generation of artificial bones,skins or ligaments.We have previously reported on good in vitro biocompatibility of SF fibers with peripheral nerve tissues and cells.In the present study,we developed a novel design of the SF-based artificial nerve graft(SF graft)which was composed of a SF-nerve guidance conduit(NGC)inserted with SF fibers.MTT assay was performed to determine the cytotoxicity of the SF-NGC extract fluid on the cultured L929 cells derived from an immortalized mouse fibroblast cell line.In addition,this SF graft was implanted into adult rats for bridging a 10-mm long sciatic nerve defect.The following-up experiments at initial stage(1-4 week)of nerve regeneration including routine blood tests and histochemical investigation were conducted to evaluate the in vivo biocompatibility of the SF graft with peripheral nerves.The results demonstrated that the SF-NGC graft was biocompatible with the surrounding tissues and cells due to its low inflammatory potential with a grade 0 under the U.S.Pharmacopeia guidelines and it was generally suitable to a certain degree for bridging peripheral nerve defects in virtue of supporting Schwann cell adherence,expansion and migration.Therefore the SF graft is a promising alternative to classical autografts for peripheral nerve repair.Chen Xuemei Yang Yumin Wu Jian Zhao Yahong Ding Fei Gu Xiaosong 2007Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2007,17,9:5
11Tweezing and manipulating micro- and nanoparticles by optical nonlinear endoscopy显示文摘The precise control and manipulation of micro-and nanoparticles using an optical endoscope are potentially important in biomedical studies,bedside diagnosis and treatment in an aquatic internal organ environment,but they have not yet been achieved.Here,for the first time,we demonstrate optical nonlinear endoscopic tweezers(ONETs)for directly controlling and manipulating aquatic micro-and nanobeads as well as gold nanorods.It is found that two-photon absorption can enhance the trapping force on fluorescent nanobeads by up to four orders of magnitude compared with dielectric nanobeads of the same size.More importantly,two-photon excitation leads to a plasmon-mediated optothermal attracting force on nanorods,which can extend far beyond the focal spot.This new phenomenon facilitates a snowball effect that allows the fast uploading of nanorods to a targeted cell followed by thermal treatment within 1 min.As two-photon absorption allows an operation wavelength at the center of the transmission window of human tissue,our work demonstrates that ONET is potentially an unprecedented tool for precisely specifying the location and dosage of drug particles and for rapidly uploading metallic nanoparticles to individual cancer cells for treatment.Min Gu Hongchun Bao Xiaosong Gan Nicholas Stokes Jingzhi Wu 2014Light(Science & Applications)2014,3,1:5

15Qualitative and quantitative detection using eDNA technology: A case study of Fenneropenaeus chinensis in the Bohai Sea显示文摘Accurate knowledge of species distributions and population dynamics is the basis for conservation biology.However, for certain species with unique life histories and very small populations, monitoring species distributions and population dynamics is extremely difficult. Recently, newly developed eDNA technology has been widely used in species monitoring, biodiversity assessments, and biomass assessments. In this research, we studied Fenneropenaeus chinensis in the Bohai Sea. We used a 0.45 μm glass fiber filter combined with a vacuum to filter 2 L seawater samples for eDNA enrichment from 54 stations in June and 60 stations in August. A DNeasy Blood and Tissue kit was used to extract the eDNA. After DNA extraction, the specific primers and probes of the mitochondrial DNA COI gene of F. chinensis were designed. Real-time quantitative PCR was used to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze the eDNA in the Bohai Sea. The temporal and spatial distribution of F. chinensis was detected by the eDNA technique. The relationship between the eDNA copy number and trawl-netted F. chinensis biomass was explored. The applicability and sensitivity of eDNA technology in marine crustacean research were verified. The results showed that the mtDNA COI gene of F. chinensis was successfully amplified in the 54 water samples collected in June, and the detection rate reached 100%. Detections occurred in only 23 of the 60 stations sampled in August. F. chinensis had a detection rate of only 38%. The copy number of eDNA obtained by realtime PCR was fitted to the density of F. chinensis captured by bottom trawling. There was not a significant positive correlation between copy number and biomass. 16Experimental investigations on cavity-actuated under-expanded supersonic oscillating jet显示文摘As one type of potential flow control actuators, cavity-actuated supersonic jet oscillators,which consist of a 2-D convergent nozzle and two face to face cavities, need to be investigated deeply to get the knowledge of their oscillating feature and underlying mechanism. Wind tunnel testing are conducted under different back pressures in a vacuum-type wind tunnel for two supersonic jet oscillators, to obtain their characteristics and the conditions for jet oscillating. The experimental results show that the continuous, nearly symmetric or asymmetric flipping between the two cavities appears over certain nozzle pressure ratio(NPR) range for both oscillators according to schlieren visualizations. Compared to the free jet, the oscillating jet with large exit achieves larger mixing; the oscillating jet with small exit has less mixing, based on the analysis of jet axial peak velocity and the entrainment.
