2Melatonin enhances radiofrequency-induced NK antitumor immunity,causing cancer metabolism reprogramming and inhibition of multiple pulmonary tumor development显示文摘Surgery is the comm on treatme nt for early lung cancer with multiple pulm onary no dules,but it is often accompanied by the problem of significant malignancy of other nodules in non-therapeutic areas.In this study,we found that a combined treatment of local rad iofreq ue ncy ablati on(RFA)and melatonin(MLT)greatly improved clinical outcomes for early lung cancer patie nts with multiple pulmonary nodules by minimizing lung function injury and reducing the probability of malignant transformation or enlargement of nodules in non-ablated areas.Mechanically,as demonstrated in an associated mouse lung tumor model,RFA not only effectively remove treated tumors but also stimulate antitumor immunity,which could inhibit tumor growth in non-ablated areas.MLT enhanced RFA-stimulated NK activity and exerted synergistic antitumor effects with RFA.Transcriptomics and proteomics analyses of residual tumor tissues revealed enhanced oxidative phosphorylation and reduced acidification as well as hypoxia in the tumor microenvironment,which suggests reprogrammed tumor metabolism after combined treatment with RFA and MLT.Analysis of residual tumor further revealed the depressed activity of MAPK,NF-kappa B,Wnt,and Hedgehog pathways and upregulated P53 pathway in tumors,which was in line with the inhibited tumor growth.Combined RFA and MLT treatment also reversed the Warburg effect and decreased tumor malignancy.These findings thus demonstrated that combined treatment of RFA and MLT effectively inhibited the malignancy of non-ablated nodules and provided an innovative non-invasive strategy for treating early lung tumors with multiple pulmonary nodules.Trial registration:www.chictr.org.cn,identifier ChiCTR2100042695,http://www.chictr.org.cn/showproj.aspx?proj=120931.Ming Li Bingjie Hao Menghuan Zhang Russel J.Reiter Shumeng Lin Tiansheng Zheng Xiangyun Chen Yanbei Ren Liduo Yue Baigenzhin Abay Guojie Chen Xiao Xu Yufeng Shi Lihong Fan 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,10:6
3Transcription factor ZmNAC126 plays an important role in transcriptional regulation of maize starch synthesis-related genes显示文摘Maize(Zea mays L.)is one of the most important food crops in the world,and starch is the main component of its endosperm.Transcriptional regulation plays a vital role in starch biosynthesis.However,it is not well understood in maize.We report the identification of the transcription factor ZmNAC126 and its role in regulation of starch synthesis in maize.Transcriptional expression of ZmNAC126 was higher in maize endosperm and kernels than in roots or stems.ZmNAC126 shared a similar expression pattern with starch synthesis genes during seed development,and its expression pattern was also consistent with the accumulation of starch.ZmNAC126 is a typical transcription factor with a transactivation domain between positions 201 and 227 of the amino acid sequence,is located in the nucleus,and binds to CACG repeats in vitro.Yeast one-hybrid assay revealed that ZmNAC126 bound the promoters of ZmGBSSI,ZmSSIIa,ZmSSIV,ZmISA1,and ZmISA2.Transient overexpression of ZmNAC126 in maize endosperm increased the activities of promoters pZmSh2,pZmBt2,pZmGBSSI,pZmSSIIIa,and pZmBT1 but inhibited the activities of pZmISA1 and pZmISA2.ZmNAC126 thus acts in starch synthesis by transcriptionally regulating targeted starch synthesis-related genes in maize kernels.Qianlin Xiao Yayun Wang Hui Li Chunxia Zhang Bin Wei Yongbin Wang Huanhuan Huang Yangping Li Guowu Yu Hanmei Liu Junjie Zhang Yinghong Liu Yufeng Hu Yubi Huang 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,1:5

5An ultrasound simulation method for carotid arteries with a wall structure of three membranes显示文摘Ultrasound simulation for carotid arteries is helpful to the performance assessments of vessel wall detection and signal processing methods by using ultrasound techniques.An ultrasound simulation method of carotid artery wall with a three-membrane structure is proposed in present study.According to the ultrasound speckle distributions varying with the shapes and densities of scatterer distributions,as well as the statistic results of the clinical images,the parameters of distributions,densities and intensities of scatterers for different kinds of tissues in the carotid artery phantoms are determined.Each region is acoustically characterized using FIELD II software to produce the radio frequency echo signals,from which ultrasound images are derived.The results based on 30 simulations show that the echo distributions of the intimae,mediae,adventitias and blood are consistent with the clinical ones.Moreover,compared with the results from the central frequency of 8 MHz,the mean measurements for thicknesses of the intima,media and adventitia membranes,as well as the lumen diameter from the simulation images based on 12 MHz are the same as the preset ones,and the maximum relative errors are the 4.01%,1.25%,0.04%and 0.15%,respectively.The simulation under this condition is more realistic.HU Xiao ZHANG Yufeng GAO Lian CAI Guanghui JIA Zhiguo ZHANG Kexin DENG Li 2015Chinese Journal of Acoustics2015,34,3:3
6Effect of sulfur source on photocatalytic degradation performance of CdS/MoS2 prepared with one-step hydrothermal synthesis显示文摘Cd S/Mo S_2,an extremely efficient photocatalyst,has been extensively used in hydrogen photoproduction and pollutant degradation.Cd S/Mo S_2can be synthesized by a facile one-step hydrothermal process.However,the effect of the sulfur source on the synthesis of Cd S/Mo S_2via one-step hydrothermal methods has seldom been investigated.We report herein a series of one-step hydrothermal preparations of Cd S/Mo S_2using three different sulfur sources:thioacetamide,L-cysteine,and thiourea.The results revealed that the sulfur source strongly affected the crystallization,morphology,elemental composition and ultraviolet(UV)–visible-light-absorption ability of the Cd S/Mo S_2.Among the investigated sulfur sources,thioacetamide provided the highest visible-light absorption ability for Cd S/Mo S_2,with the smallest average particle size and largest surface area,resulting in the highest efficiency in Methylene Blue(MB)degradation.The photocatalytic activity of Cd S/Mo S_2synthesized from the three sulfur sources can be arranged in the following order:thioacetamide>L-cysteine>thiourea.The reaction rate constants(k)for thioacetamide,L-cysteine,and thiourea were estimated to be 0.0197,0.0140,and 0.0084 min^(-1),respectively.However,thioacetamide may be limited in practical application in terms of its price and toxicity,while L-cysteine is relatively economical,less toxic and exhibited good photocatalytic degradation performance toward MB.Yanfeng Wang Wei Chen Xiao Chen Huajun Feng Dongsheng Shen Bin Huang Yufeng Jia Yuyang Zhou Yuxiang Liang 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,3:3
7Preparation,characterization and biological properties of a novel bone block composed of platelet rich fibrin and a deproteinized bovine bone mineral显示文摘Alveolar bone defects caused by tooth loss often lead to challenges in implant dentistry,with a need for development of optimal bone biomaterials to predictably rebuild these tissues.To address this problem,we fabricated a novel bone block using platelet-rich fibrin(PRF)and Deproteinized Bovine Bone Mineral(DBBM),and characterized their mechanical and biological properties.The bone block was prepared by mixing DBBM,Liquid-PRF,and Solid-PRF fragments in various combinations as follows:(1)BLOCK-1 made with Solid-PRF fragments+DBBM,(2)BLOCK-2 made with Liquid-PRF+DBBM,(3)BLOCK-3 made with Solid-PRF fragments+Liquid-PRF+DBBM.The time for solidification and the degradation properties were subsequently recorded.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and tensile tests were carried out to investigate the microstructure and mechanical properties of each block.The bioactivity of the three groups towards osteoblast differentiation was also evaluated by culturing cells with the conditioned medium from each of the three groups including cell proliferation assay,cell migration assay,alkaline phosphatase(ALP)staining,and alizarin red staining(ARS),as well as by real-time PCR for genes encoding runt-related transcription factor 2(RUNX2),ALP,collagen type I alphal(COLIv41)and osteocalcin(OCN).BLOCK-3 made with Solid-PRF fragments+Liquid-PRF+DBBM had by far the fastest solidification period(over a 10-fold increase)as well as the most resistance to degradation.SEM and tensile tests also revealed that the mechanical properties of BLOCK-3 were superior in strength when compared to all other groups and further induced the highest osteoblast migration and osteogenic differentiation confirmed by ALP,ARS and real-time PCR.PRF bone blocks made through the combination of Solid-PRF fragments+Liquid-PRF+DBBM had the greatest mechanical and biological properties when compared to either used alone.Future clinical studies are warranted to further support the clinical application of PRF bone blocks in bone regeneration procedures.Mengge Feng Yulan Wang Yan Wei Xiaoxin Zhang Leyi Xiao Zijjian Gong Masako Fujioka-Kobayashi Anton Sculean Richard J Miron Scott Froum Yufeng Zhang 2022Fundamental Research2022,2,2:3

9Parylene-MEMS technique-based flexible electronics显示文摘This paper reports a novel fabrication strategy for flexible electronics based on the paryleneMEMS(micro-electromechanical system) technique. A set of parylene-filled trenches is used to mechanically connect silicon-based functional units and realize a flexible 4×6 temperature controlling array as a preliminary demonstration. The trench-filling performance of the parylene deposition is carefully studied, and an optimized process is established to minimize the keyhole inside the parylene-filled trench. The effect of trench width on the flexibility and bendability of the prepared flexible electronics devices is analyzed by finite element modeling. Performances of the thermal/electrical isolation and the mechanical connection of the prepared parylene-filled trenches have been tested. The experimental results indicate that the highest thermal isolation efficiency is approximately 72.5% with the 10 paralleled, 7 μm wide and 50 μm deep parylene-filled trenches. The leakage current of the 10 paralleled, 5 μm wide and 100 μm deep parylene-filled trenches is less than 2 p A under a voltage of 100 V. Besides, these parylene-filled trenches acting as the flexible linkage of connected silicon-based functional units exhibit high connection performance without rupture when the loading pressure is under 200 k Pa. 10“Extreme utilization”development of deep shale gas in southern Sichuan Basin,SW China显示文摘To efficiently develop deep shale gas in southern Sichuan Basin,under the guidance of“extreme utilization”theory,a basic idea and solutions for deep shale gas development are put forward and applied in practice.In view of multiple influencing factors of shale gas development,low single-well production and marginal profit of wells in this region,the basic idea is to establish“transparent geological body”of the block in concern,evaluate the factors affecting shale gas development through integrated geological-engineering research and optimize the shale gas development of wells in their whole life cycle to balance the relationship between production objectives and development costs.The solutions are as follows:(1)calculate the gold target index and pinpoint the location of horizontal well drilling target,and shale reservoirs are depicted accurately by geophysical and other means to build underground transparent geological body;(2)optimize the drilling and completion process,improve the adaptability of key tools by cooling,reducing density and optimizing the performance of drilling fluid,the“man-made gas reservoir”is built by comprehensively considering the characteristics of in-situ stress and fractures after the development well is drilled;(3)through efficient management,establishment of learning curve and optimization of drainage and production regime,the development quality and efficiency of the well are improved across its whole life cycle,to fulfil“extreme utilization”development of shale gas.The practice shows that the estimated ultimate recovery of single wells in southern Sichuan Basin increase by 10%-20%than last year.MA Xinhua WANG Hongyan ZHAO Qun LIU Yong ZHOU Shangwen HU Zhiming XIAO Yufeng 2022Petroleum Exploration and Development2022,49,6:2

12Learning to recognize misaligned hyperfine orbital angular momentum modes显示文摘Orbital angular momentum(OAM)-carrying beams have received extensive attention due to their high-dimensional characteristics in the context of free-space optical communication.However,accurate OAM mode recognition still suffers from reference misalignment of lateral displacement,beam waist size,and initial phase.Here we propose a deep-learning method to exquisitely recognize OAM modes under misalignment by using an alignment-free fractal multipoint interferometer.Our experiments achieve 98.35% recognizing accuracy when strong misalignment is added to hyperfine OAM modes whose Bures distance is 0.01.The maximum lateral displacement we added with respect to the perfectly on-axis beam is about±0.5 beam waist size.This work offers a superstable proposal for OAM mode recognition in the application of free-space optical communication and allows an increase of the communication capacity.Xiao Wang Yufeng Qian JingJing Zhang Guangdong Ma Shupeng Zhao RuiFeng Liu Hongrong Li Pei Zhang Hong Gao Feng Huang Fuli Li 2021Photonics Research2021,9,4:1

14An internal cooling grinding wheel:From design to application显示文摘The cooling and lubrication conditions during the grinding process significantly impact the nickel-based superalloy’s final service performance.The existing jet cooling and heat pipe technology can solve the heat conduction problem in the grinding process of superalloy.Still,managing cooling,lubrication,and chip removal are difficult.This paper describes the design and fabrication of a novel central fluid-through internal cooling slotted grinding wheel with an ordered grain pattern to improve the grinding machinability of a nickel-based superalloy.The pressurized grinding fluid was ejected into the grinding zone via the pipe and tool holder from the lower-end face of the inner cooling wheel.The structure of the grinding wheel was optimized using computational fluid dynamics(CFD).The flow field in the grinding area achieved the highest overall flow rate,distribution homogeneity,and effective exit flow when the internal flow channel had four throughholes.The exit for the inner runner is located at the abrasive edge and diamond staggered pattern.Single-layer brazing was used to create cubic boron nitride(CBN)abrasive rings with various abrasive patterns.The internal cooling wheel matrix and various components were prepared according to the optimized grinding wheel geometry model.A grinding test bench was built to conduct an experimental study of grinding the nickel-based alloy GH4169.The results show that,under the same conditions,a diamond-shaped staggered pattern obtains lower grinding temperature,lower surface roughness,better surface morphology,and more significant residual compressive stress distribution than an abrasive cluster diagonal circular staggered pattern or disordered pattern.The average effective flow rate calculated by CFD is increased by 42.3%when compared to the disordered pattern.In the experiment,compared to the disordered arrangement,with the increase of grinding wheel’s rotating speed and coolant pressure,the average grinding temperature of abrasive grain with diamond-interleaved arrangement decreases by 58.2%and 51.7%respectively,and its surface hardening degree decreases by 11.1%and 11.7%respectively.Xiangwu XIAO Yufeng JIN Meiliang CHEN Ruitao PENG Heng TANG Jiangxiong GAO 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,11:1

17STUDY ON THE DESALINATION BEHAVIORS OF PA/PSF THIN FILM COMPOSITE显示文摘A polypiperazine amide (PA)/polysulfone (PSF) thin film composite (TFC) was prepared by interfacial polymerization (IP) using a trimesoyl chloride hexane solution as the oil phase and a piperazine aqueous solution as the water phase on a porous polysulfone hollow fiber substrate. Its separating behaviors were investigated systematically to various salts such as NaCl, KCl, Na2SO4, MgCl2, CaCl2 and MgSO4, showing the highest rejection rate to Na2SO4, the second to MgSO4, the third to MgCl2 and CaCl2, and the lowest to KCl, NaCl, being 99%, 98%, 70%, 60%, 15% and 10% respectively. Under an increasing pressure or with time, the rejection rate of the TFC rises to a plateau.
