| 1 | The Association of Maternal Body Composition and Dietary Intake with the Risk of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus during the Second Trimester in a Cohort of Chinese Pregnant Women显示文摘Objective To investigate the association of maternal body composition and dietary intake with the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM). Methods A total 154 GDM subjects and 981 controls were enrolled in a prospective cohort study in 11 hospitals from May 20, 2012 to December 31, 2013. Bioelectrical impedance analysis and dietary surveys were used to determine body composition and to evaluate the intake of nutrients in subjects at 21-24 weeks' gestation(WG). Logistic regression analysis was applied to explore the relationships of maternal body composition and dietary intake with the risk of GDM morbidity. Results Age, pre-pregnant body weight(BW), and body mass index(BMI) were associated with increased risk of GDM. Fat mass(FM), fat mass percentage(FMP), extracellular water(ECW), BMI, BW, energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrates at 21-24 WG were associated with an increased risk of GDM. In contrast, fat free mass(FFM), muscular mass(MM), and intracellular water(ICW) were associated with a decreased risk of GDM. | 2 | Three-dimensional path planning for unmanned aerial vehicle based on interfered fluid dynamical system显示文摘This paper proposes a method for planning the three-dimensional path for low-flying unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) in complex terrain based on interfered fluid dynamical system(IFDS) and the theory of obstacle avoidance by the flowing stream. With no requirement of solutions to fluid equations under complex boundary conditions, the proposed method is suitable for situations with complex terrain and different shapes of obstacles. Firstly, by transforming the mountains, radar and anti-aircraft fire in complex terrain into cylindrical, conical, spherical, parallelepiped obstacles and their combinations, the 3D low-flying path planning problem is turned into solving streamlines for obstacle avoidance by fluid flow. Secondly, on the basis of a unified mathematical expression of typical obstacle shapes including sphere, cylinder, cone and parallelepiped, the modulation matrix for interfered fluid dynamical system is constructed and 3D streamlines around a single obstacle are obtained. Solutions to streamlines with multiple obstacles are then derived using weighted average of the velocity field. Thirdly, extra control force method and virtual obstacle method are proposed to deal with the stagnation point and the case of obstacles' overlapping respectively. Finally, taking path length and flight height as sub-goals, genetic algorithm(GA) is used to obtain optimal 3D path under the maneuverability constraints of the UAV. Simulation results show that the environmental modeling is simple and the path is smooth and suitable for UAV. | 4 | Adjuvant chemotherapy with paclitaxel and cisplatin in lymph node-positive thoracic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Objective:No standard postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy has ever been established in node-positive esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).This is a study to explore the effect of postoperative paclitaxel(PTX)and cisplatin(DDP)in lymph node-positive,completely resected thoracic ESCC patients.Methods:We conducted a prospective phase II trial.Patients had pathologically node-positive thoracic ESCC with negative margins.Outcomes of disease-free survival(DFS)and overall survival(OS)were compared with a matched historical control cohort.The postoperative chemotherapy regimen consisted of 4 to 6 cycles of PTX 150mg/m2 administered intravenously on d 1 followed by DDP 50 mg/m2 on d 2 every 14 d.Results:Forty-three patients were accrued from December 2007 to May 2012 at Cancer Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences for adjuvant chemotherapy.The historical control group consisted of 80 patients who received complete resection but no adjuvant chemotherapy during the same period of time.Of the 43 patients with adjuvant chemotherapy,37(86.0%)patients completed 4 to 6 cycles of chemotherapy.The 3-year DFS rates were56.3%in the adjuvant group and 34.6%in the control group(P=0.006).The 3-year OS rates were 55.0%in the adjuvant group and 37.5%in the control group(P=0.013).Multivariate analysis revealed that postoperative chemotherapy was the significant predictor for improved OS(P=0.005).Conclusions:Biweekly adjuvant PTX and DDP might improve 3-year DFS and OS in lymph node-positive,curatively resected thoracic ESCC patients.These conclusions warrant further study in randomized phase III clinical trials. | Liangze Zhang Weiwei Li Xiao Lyu Yan Song Yousheng Mao Shaoming Wang Jing Huang | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,2: | 15 |

| 8 | Identification of a Newly Isolated Getah Virus in the China-Laos Border,China显示文摘In this study, we isolated a virus strain(YN12031) from specimens of Armigeres subalbatus collected in the China-Laos border. BHK-21 cells infected with YN12031 exhibited an evident cytopathic effect(CPE) 32 h post-infection. The virus particles were spherical, 70 nm in diameter, and enveloped; they also featured surface fibers. Molecular genetic analysis revealed that YN12031 was closely related to alpha viruses such as Chikungunya virus and Sindbis virus, and located in the same clade as MM2021, the prototype of Getahvirus(GETV) isolated in Malaysia in 1955. Phylogenetic analysis of the E2 and capsid genes further revealed that YN12031 was located in the same clade as the Russian isolate LEIV/16275/Mag. Analysis of the homology of nucleotides and amino acids in the coding area and E2 gene demonstrated that the YN12031 isolated from the China-Laos border(tropical region) was related closest to the LEIV/16275/Mag isolate obtained in Russia(North frigid zone area) among other isolates studied. These results suggest that GETV can adapt to different geographical environments to propagate and evolve. | 10 | Entecavir add-on Peg-interferon therapy plays a positive role in reversing hepatic fibrosis in treatment-naive chronic hepatitis B patients: a prospective and randomized controlled trial显示文摘Background:The efficacy of entecavir(ETV)add-on peg-interferon therapy compared with ETV monotherapy in treatment-naive hepatitis B virus(HBV)patients remains controversial.We investigated whether adding peg-interferon to ongoing ETV treatment leads to a better curative effect or not.Methods:All patients have been recruited between August 2013 and January 2015 from the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center and Zhongshan Hospital(China).Eligible HBV patients(n=144)were randomly divided(1:1)to receive either ETV monotherapy(n=70)or peg-interferon add-on therapy from week 26 to 52(«=74).Patients were followed-up for at least 2 years.Indexes including hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg)and hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg)seroconversion rate,sustained virologic response,transient elastography value,and histological scores were evaluated every 3 months until the end of the study.The rate of patients with HBsAg loss was defined as the primary endpoint criteria.Results:At week 26,no patient achieved HBsAg seroconversion in either group.At week 52,one patient in the monotherapy group was HBsAg-negative but there was none in the combination therapy group.The monotherapy group showed significantly better liver function recovery results than the combination therapy group.At week 78,one patient in the combination group had HBsAg seroconverted.At week 104,only three patients in the combination therapy group were HBsAg-negative compared with one patient in monotherapy.The mean alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase levels and transient elastography values decreased significantly compared with baseline.Both groups showed a favorable decrease in alpha-fetoprotein(monotherapy:4.5[2.8,7.1]vs.2.2[1.8,3.1]ng/mL,P<0.001;combination therapy:5.7[3.0,18.8]vs.3.2[2.0,4.3]ng/mL,P<0.001)and an improved result of liver biopsy examination scores.The combination group showed a better improvement in histology compared with the monotherapy group(mean transient elastography value 6.6[4.9,9.8]vs.7.8[5.4,11.1]kPa,P=0.028).But there was no significant difference in HBsAg conversion rate(1.8%[1/56]i^s.4.1%[3/73],P=0.809)and HBeAg conversion rate(12.5%[7/56]i/s.11.0%[8/73],P=0.787),as well as HBV-DNA,sustained virologic response(93.2%vs.98.5%,P=0.150)between the two groups.Conclusions:Both therapies supported liver function recovery and histology improvement.Combination therapy did not show better anti-viral efficacy in HBsAg or HBeAg seroconversion compared with monotherapy.However,combination therapy played a more positive role in reversing hepatic fibrosis compared with monotherapy.Trial registration:ClinicalTrials.gov:NCT02849132;https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02849132. | Jing-Mao Yang Li-Ping Chen Ya-Jie Wang Bei Lyu Hong Zhao Zhi-Yin Shang Jun Li Zhen-Yu Fan Sheng-Di Wu Xiao Ming Xian Li Shao-Ping Huang Ji-Lin Cheng | 2020 | Chinese Medical Journal2020,,14: | 11 |
| 11 | The Status and Associated Factors of Successful Aging among Older Adults Residing in Longevity Areas in China显示文摘Objective This study aims to assess the status of successful aging(SA) in longevity areas in China and explore multiple factors associated with SA among the young-old and oldest-old. Methods A total of 2296 elderly people aged 65 and older were interviewed in the longevity areas sub-sample of the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey(CLHLS) in 2012. Baseline assessments included a researcher-administered questionnaire, physical examination, and laboratory testing. A logistic regression model was used to identify factors associated with SA. Results The prevalence of SA was 38.81% in the CLHLS in 2012. There were significant differences between ages groups, with SA compromising 56.85% among ≥65 years group and 20.31% among ≥100 years group(χtrend2=126.73, P<0.01). The prevalence of SA among females was 33.59%, which was significantly lower than that among males(45.58%)(χ2gender=33.65, P<0.05). In the regression analysis, having anemia(OR=0.744, 95% CI: 0.609-0.910), poor lifestyle(OR=0.697, 95% CI: 0.568-0.854), poor sleep quality(OR=0.558, 95% CI: 0.456-0.682), and central obesity(OR=0.684, 95% CI: 0.556-0.841) were the main factors associated with SA. The promoting SA rate decreased as age increased, and the group of 65-79 years had higher odds than the other age group. | 13 | Graphitic carbon nitride/biochar composite synthesized by a facile ball-milling method for the adsorption and photocatalytic degradation of enrofloxacin显示文摘In order to enhance the removal performance of graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4)) on organic pollutant, a simultaneous process of adsorption and photocatalysis was achieved via the compounding of biochar and g-C_(3)N_(4). In this study, g-C_(3)N_(4) was obtained by a condensation reaction of melamine at 550 °C. Then the g-C_(3)N_(4)/biochar composites were synthesized by ball milling biochar and g-C_(3)N_(4) together, which was considered as a simple, economical, and green strategy. The characterization of resulting g-C_(3)N_(4)/biochar suggested that biochar and g-C_(3)N_(4) achieved effective linkage. The adsorption and photocatalytic performance of the composites were evaluated with enrofloxacin(EFA) as a model pollutant. The result showed that all the g-C_(3)N_(4)/biochar composites displayed higher adsorption and photocatalytic performance to EFA than that of pure g-C_(3)N_(4). The 50% g-C_(3)N_(4)/biochar performed best and removed 45.2% and 81.1% of EFA(10 mg/L) under darkness and light with a dosage of 1 mg/mL, while g-C_(3)N_(4) were 19.0% and 27.3%, respectively. Besides, 50% g-C_(3)N_(4)/biochar showed the highest total organic carbon(TOC) removal efficiency(65.9%). Radical trapping experiments suggested that superoxide radical( ·O_(2)^(-)) and hole(h~+) were the main active species in the photocatalytic process. | 14 | Long-term outcomes of staged recanalization for concurrent chronic total occlusion in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction after primary percutaneous coronary intervention显示文摘Background In patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI)who undergo primary percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI),approximately 10%are concomitant with a chronic total occlusion(CTO)in a non-culprit vessel.However,the impact of staged CTO recanalization on prognosis in this cohort remains disputable.This study aimed to compare the long-term outcomes of staged CTO recanalization versus medical therapy in patients with STEMI after primary PCI.Methods Between January 2005 and December 2016,a total of 287 patients were treated with staged CTO-PCI(n=91)or medical therapy(n=196)after primary PCI in our center.The primary endpoint was major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular event(MACCE),defined as a composite of all-cause death,nonfatal myocardial infarction(MI),stroke or unplanned revascularization.After propensity-score matching,77 pairs of well-balanced patients were identified.Results The mean follow-up period was 6.06 years.Overall,the incidence of the primary endpoint of MACCE was significantly lower in staged CTO-PCI group than that in medical therapy group in both overall population(22.0%vs.46.9%;hazard ratio(HR)=0.48,95%CI:0.29-0.77)and propensity-matched cohorts(22.1%vs.42.9%;HR:0.48,95%CI:0.27-0.86).In addition,staged CTO-PCI was also associated with reduced risk of the composite of cardiac death,nonfatal MI or stroke compared with medical therapy in both overall population(9.9%vs.26.5%;hazard ratio(HR)=0.39,95%CI:0.19-0.79)and propensity-matched cohorts(9.1%vs.22.1%;HR:0.40,95%CI:0.16-0.96).After correction of the possible confounders,staged CTO-PCI was independently associated with reduced risks of MACCE(adjusted HR:0.46,95%CI:0.28-0.75),the composite of cardiac death,nonfatal MI or stroke(adjusted HR:0.45,95%CI:0.22-0.94)and all-cause mortality(adjusted HR:0.32,95%CI:0.13-0.83).Moreover,the results of sensitivity analysis were almost concordant with the overall analysis.Conclusions In patients with STEMI and a concurrent CTO who undergo primary PCI,successful staged recanalization of CTO in the non-culprit vessels is associated with better clinical outcomes during long-term follow-up. | Kong-Yong CUI Fei YUAN Hong LIU Feng XU Min ZHANG Wei WANG Ming-Duo ZHANG Yun-Lu WANG Dong-Feng ZHANG Xiao ZHANG Jin-Fan TIAN Shu-Zheng LYU | 2020 | Journal of Geriatric Cardiology2020,17,1: | 8 |

| 19 | Optimizing accuracy of a parabolic cylindrical deployable antenna mechanism based on stiffness analysis显示文摘Accuracy of the fitted surface is of great importance to the performance of deployable antennas utilized in space.This paper proposes a stiffness analysis based fitting accuracy optimization method for achieving the optimal parameters of the parabolic cylindrical deployable antenna mechanism.The stiffness matrix of the proposed cylindrical antenna mechanism is established by assembling the stiffness of beams and tension cables.Structural deformations of the mechanism are calculated where the tensioned cable is substituted by a 2-node truss element and an equivalent force acting on the joint.Consideration of the tensity of tension cables,namely tensioned or slack,is transformed into a typical linear complementarity problem.Comparison between structural deformations of the mechanism fixed at different points is performed.Sensitivities of the geometric and structural parameters on fitting accuracy are investigated.Influence of force of the driven cable on structural deformations of antenna operated in different orbits is conducted.A fitting optimization method is proposed to minimize the structural deformations subject to constraints on volume and mass.Simulation result shows that the fitting accuracy of the antenna mechanism is improved significantly through the optimization.The proposed method can be utilized for the optimal design of other deployable mechanisms constructed by joining rigid links. | Hang XIAO Shengnan LYU Xilun DING | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,5: | 6 |
| 20 | Effects of Shrub on Runoff and Soil Loss at Loess Slopes Under Simulated Rainfall显示文摘Improved understanding of the effect of shrub cover on soil erosion process will provide valuable information for soil and water conservation programs.Laboratory rainfall simulations were conducted to determine the effects of shrubs on runoff and soil erosion and to ascertain the relationship between the rate of soil loss and the runoff hydrodynamic characteristics.In these simulations a 20° slope was subjected to rainfall intensities of 45,87,and 127 mm/h.The average runoff rates ranged from 0.51 to 1.26 mm/min for bare soil plots and 0.15 to 0.96 mm/min for shrub plots.Average soil loss rates varied from 44.19 to 114.61 g/(min·m^2) for bare soil plots and from 5.61 to 84.58 g/(min·m^2) for shrub plots.There was a positive correlation between runoff and soil loss for the bare soil plots,and soil loss increased with increased runoff for shrub plots only when rainfall intensity is 127 mm/h.Runoff and soil erosion processes were strongly influenced by soil surface conditions because of the formation of erosion pits and rills.The unit stream power was the optimal hydrodynamic parameter to characterize the soil erosion mechanisms.The soil loss rate increased linearly with the unit stream power on both shrub and bare soil plots.Critical unit stream power values were 0.004 m/s for bare soil plots and 0.017 m/s for shrub plots. | XIAO Peiqing YAO Wenyi SHEN Zhenzhou YANG Chunxia LYU Xizhi JIAO Peng | 2017 | Chinese Geographical Science2017,27,4: | 5 |
