| 3 | Prediction of median survival time in sepsis patients by the SOFA score combined with different predictors显示文摘Background:Sepsis is the leading cause of intensive care unit(ICU)admission.The purpose of this study was to explore the prognostic value of the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(SOFA)score,the Acute Physiological and Chronic Health Evaluation Ⅱ(APACHE Ⅱ)score,and procalcitonin(PCT),albumin(ALB),and lactate(LAC)levels in patients with sepsis.Methods:Consecutive adult patients with suspected or documented sepsis at ICU admission were recruited.Their basic vital signs and related auxiliary examinations to determine their PCT and ALB levels and APACHE Ⅱ score were recorded at ICU admission,and their LAC levels and SOFA scores were recorded for one week after admission.The influence of these variables on hospital mortality was evaluated.Logistic regression was used to derive the Sepsis Hospital Mortality Score(SHMS),a prediction equation describing the relationship between predictors and hospital mortality.The median survival time was calculated by the Kaplan–Meier method.In the validation group,the kappa value was calculated to evaluate the stability of the derived formula.Results:This study included 894 sepsis patients admitted to 18 ICUs in 16 tertiary hospitals.Patients were randomly assigned to an experimental group(626 cases)and validation group(258 cases).In addition,a nonsurvival group(248 patients)of the experimental group was established according to the outcome at the time of discharge.The hospital mortality rate in the experimental group was 39.6%(248/626).Univariate and multivariate regression analyses revealed that the APACHE Ⅱ score(odds ratio[OR]=1.178),△SOFA(OR=1.186),△LAC(OR=1.157),and SOFA mean score(OR=1.086)were independently associated with hospital mortality.The SHMS was calculated as logit(p)=4.715–(0.164×APACHE Ⅱ)–(0.171×△SOFA)–(0.145×△LAC)–(0.082×SOFA mean).A receiver operating characteristic curve was constructed to further investigate the accuracy of the SHMS,with an area under the curve of 0.851(95%confidence interval[CI]0.821–0.882;p<0.001)for hospital mortality.In the low-risk group and high-risk groups,the corresponding median survival times were 15 days and 11 days,respectively.Conclusion:The APACHE Ⅱ score,△SOFA,△LAC and SOFA mean score were independently associated with hospital mortality in sepsis patients and accurately predicted the hospital mortality rate and median survival time.Data on the median survival time in sepsis patients could be provided to clinicians to assist in the rational use of limited medical resources by facilitating prudent resource allocation.Trial registration:ChiCTR-ECH-13003934,retrospectively registered on August 03,2013. | Wen Li Meiping Wang Bo Zhu Yibing Zhu Xiuming Xi | 2020 | Burns & Trauma2020,8,1: | 7 |
| 4 | Qualitative and quantitative analysis of glucosinolates and nucleosides in Radix Isatidis by HPLC and liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry显示文摘Multi-component fingerprinting and quantitation of the glucosinolates and nucleosides in samples of Radix Isatidis have been carried out using high-performance liquid chromatography with diode-array detection and electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry(HPLC–DAD–ESI/MS).Five nucleosides together with one glucosinolate were identified by comparing retention times,ultraviolet spectra,mass spectra and/or empirical molecular formulae of reference compounds.Quantitation of these six compounds was carried out simultaneously by HPLC on a Phenomenex Luna C18 column using gradient elution with methanol and water and detection at 254 nm.All calibration curves were linear(r40.9994)within test ranges.Limits of detection and quantitation were 0.33 ng and 2.50 ng on column,respectively.Intra-and inter-day precision(as relative standard deviation)for all analytes was o2.19%with recoveries in the range 99.6%–101.8%at three concentration levels.The validated method was successfully applied to fingerprinting and assay of 25 batches of Radix Isatidis sourced from different geographical regions of China.The method is simple and reliable and has potential value in the quality control of Radix Isatidis. | Xiuming Wang Yuanyuan Xie Xiaomei Hu Youkang Li Ping Hu Yiming Wang Qionglin Liang Guoan Luo | 2013 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2013,3,5: | 2 |
| 5 | Genome-wide identification and functional characterization of the MdCLE peptide family in apple(Malus×domestica)显示文摘The CLAVATA3/EMBRYO SURROUNDING REGION-related(CLE)peptides are critical for stem cell homeostasis in plant shoot and root apical meristem.Although CLE genes have been reported in numerous plants,there is limited information for apple.Here,twenty-five MdCLE genes were identified fromapple genome(Apple Genome V1.0 predicted peptides).Analysis of chromosomal location showed that the 25 MdCLE genes were located on 12 of 17 apple chromosomes.Genetic structure analysis showed that 21 of 25 the MdCLE genes were intron-free.Expression patterns showed thatmost of the MdCLE genes showed higher expression levels in leaves and root compared with the other tissues.In addition,expression analysis demonstrated that MdCLE genes had different gene expression patterns for abiotic stress treatment,suggesting their potential roles in acclimation of apple to adverse environments.The 25 MdCLE genes encoded 19 different CLE peptides,and they were divided into two groups depending on their effects on the inhibition of Arabidopsis root growth.Our results suggest that MdCLE genesmay have an important but redundant function in regulating plant growth and development,and this work provides valuable references for further investigation of the biological functions of MdCLE genes. | Tianen Zhang Xiuming Li Qiang Zhao Yan Shi Yujin Hao Chunxiang You | 2022 | Horticultural Plant Journal2022,8,3: | 2 |
| 6 | From core-shell to yolk-shell:Keeping the intimately contacted interface for plasmonic metal@semiconductor nanorods toward enhanced near-infrared photoelectrochemical performance显示文摘Here we report a synthetic strategy for controllable construction of yolk-shell and core-shell plasmonic metal@semiconductor hybrid nanocrystals through modulating the kinetics of sulfurization reaction followed by cation exchange.The yielded yolk-shell structured products feature exceptional crystallinity and more importantly,the intimately adjoined and sharp interface between plasmonic metal and semiconductor which facilitates efficient charge carrier communications between them.By exploiting the system composed of Au nanorods and p-type PbS as a demonstration,we show that the Au@PbS yolk-shell nanorods manifest notable improvement in visible and near infrared light absorption compared to the Au@PbS core-shell nanorods as well as hollow PbS nanorods.Moreover,the photocathode constituted by Au@PbS yolk-shell nanorods affords the highest photoelectrochemical activities both under simulated sunlight andλ>700 nm light irradiation.The superior performance of Au@PbS yolk-shell nanorods is considered arising from the combination of the favorable structural advantages of yolk-shell configuration and the surface plasmon resonance enhancement effect.We envision that the reported synthetic strategy can offer a valuable means to create hybrid nanocrystals with desirable structures and functions that enable to harness the photogenerated charge carriers,including the plasmonic hot holes,in wide-range solar-to-fuel conversion. | Xiaodong Wan Jia Liu Dong Wang Yuemei Li Hongzhi Wang Rongrong Pan Erhuan Zhang Xiuming Zhang Xinyuan Li Jiatao Zhang | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,4: | 2 |

[Method]Taking chemical agents( triadimefon,armure,Jinggangmycin) as main treatments and spraying periods( within 7 d before initial heading stage,within 7 d before initial heading stage + initial heading stage,initial heading stage) as assisted treatments,the field efficacy trial and optimum control period of U. virens in single cropping middle-late rice were studied using Huanghuazhan and Jinnongsimiao as experimental materials in 2013. [Result] Three chemical agents,triadimefon,armure,Jinggangmycin,extremely reduced diseased panicle rate and disease index of U. virens,but there was no significant difference among three chemical agents. Spraying period did not have significant impact on diseased panicle rate and disease index of U. virens,whereas spraying within7 d before initial heading stage and during initial heading stage had relatively good control effect. Yield increased significantly after application of three chemical agents,and armure led to greater increase. The reason for yield increase was that seed setting rate was significantly increased,and the number of filled grains per panicle was significantly increased. Although spraying period influenced yield,the difference was not significant. [Conclusion] Triadimefon,armure and Jinggangmycin had good control effects against U. virens in single cropping middle-late rice,of which armure had better control effects. Spraying chemical agents increased seed setting rate,and further increased the number of filled grains per panicle and yield.
