Geochronology and significance of volcanic rocks in the Ning-Wu Basin of China显示文摘The Ning-Wu(Nanjing-Wuhu) Basin is one of the most important volcanic basins in the Middle-Lower Yangtze River Valley, eastern China. It consists of four volcanic units,i.e.,the Longwangshan,Dawangshan,Gushan, and Niangniangshan Formations.Their LA-ICP MS U-Pb zircon ages are 134.8±1.8,132.2±1.6,129.5±0.8,and 126.8±0.6 Ma,respectively. Results of this study indicate that all volcanic rocks in the Ning-Wu Basin were formed in the Early Cretaceous from 135 to 127 Ma,lasting 8-10 m.y.No Jurassic volcanic activities occurred in any of the volcanic basins of the Middle-Lower Yangtze River Valley, including the Ning-Wu Basin. These new chronological results provide significant evidence for further study of this region to improve our understanding of Mesozoic tectonic, magmatic, and metallogenic processes of eastern China.ZHOU TaoFa FAN Yu YUAN Feng ZHANG LeJun QIAN Bin MA Liang YANG XiFei David R COOKE 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,2:33
Cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease显示文摘Alzheimer's disease(AD) is a fatal neurodegenerative disorder that takes about a decade to develop, making early diagnosis possible. Clinically, the diagnosis of AD is complicated, costly, and inaccurate, so it is urgent to fi nd specifi c biomarkers. Due to its multifactorial nature, a panel of biomarkers for the multiple pathologies of AD, such as cerebral amyloidogenesis, neuronal dysfunction, synapse loss, oxidative stress, and infl ammation, are most promising for accurate diagnosis. Highly sensitive and high-throughput proteomic techniques can be applied to develop a panel of novel biomarkers for AD. In this review, we discuss the metabolism and diagnostic performance of the well-established core candidate cerebrospinal fl uid(CSF) biomarkers(β-amyloid, total tau, and hyperphosphorylated tau). Meanwhile, novel promising CSF biomarkers, especially those identifi ed by proteomics, updated in the last fi ve years are also extensively discussed. Furthermore, we provide perspectives on how biomarker discovery for AD is evolving.Xiaojing Sui Jianjun Liu Xifei Yang 2014Neuroscience Bulletin2014,30,2:5
Surface Doping vs.Bulk Doping of Cathode Materials for Lithium-Ion Batteries:A Review显示文摘To address the capacity degradation, voltage fading, structural instability and adverse interface reactions in cathode materi-als of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs),numerous modification strategies have been developed, mainly including coating and doping. In particular, the important strategy of doping(surface doping and bulk doping)has been considered an effective strategy to modulate the crystal lattice structure of cathode materials. However, special insights into the mechanisms and effectiveness of the doping strategy, especially comparisons between surface doping and bulk doping in cathode materials, are still lacking. In this review, recent significant progress in surface doping and bulk doping strategies is demonstrated in detail by focusing on their inherent differences as well as effects on the structural stability,lithium-ion(Li-ion)diffusion and electrochemical properties of cathode materials from the following mechanistic insights:preventing the exposure of reactive Ni on the surface, stabilizing the Li slabs, mitigating the migration of transition metal(TM)ions, alleviating unde-sired structural transformations and adverse interface issues, enlarging the Li interslab spacing, forming three-dimensional(3D)Li-ion diffusion channels, and providing more active sites for the charge-transfer process. Moreover, insights into the correlation between the mechanisms of hybrid surface engineering strategies(doping and coating)and their influences on the electrochemical performance of cathode materials are provided by emphasizing the stabilization of the Li slabs, the enhancement of the surface chemical stability, and the alleviation of TM ion migration.Furthermore, the existing challenges and future perspectives in this promising field are indicated.Huaming Qian Haoqi Ren Ying Zhang Xianfeng He Wenbin Li Jingjing Wang Junhua Hu Hong Yang Hirbod Maleki Kheimeh Sari Yu Chen Xifei Li 2022Electrochemical Energy Reviews2022,5,4:2

Enriched gestation activates the IGF pathway to evoke embryo-adult benefits to prevent Alzheimer’s disease显示文摘Background:Building brain reserves before dementia onset could represent a promising strategy to prevent Alzheimer’s disease(AD),while how to initiate early cognitive stimulation is unclear.Given that the immature brain is more sensitive to environmental stimuli and that brain dynamics decrease with ageing,we reasoned that it would be effective to initiate cognitive stimulation against AD as early as the fetal period. Methods:After conception, maternal AD transgenic mice(3×Tg AD)were exposed to gestational environment enrichment(GEE)until the day of delivery. The cognitive capacity of the offspring was assessed by the Morris water maze and contextual fear-conditioning tests when the offspring were raised in a standard environment to 7 months of age.Western blotting,immunohistochemistry,real-time PCR,immunoprecipitation, chromatin immunoprecipitation(ChIP)assay, electrophysiology,Golgi staining, activity assays and sandwich ELISA were employed to gain insight into the mechanisms underlying the beneficial effects of GEE on embryos and 7–10-month-old adult offspring. Results:We found that GEE markedly preserved synaptic plasticity and memory capacity with amelioration of hallmark pathologies in 7–10-m-old AD offspring. The beneficial effects of GEE were accompanied by global histone hyperacetylation, including those at bdnf promoter-binding regions, with robust BDNF mRNA and protein expression in both embryo and progeny hippocampus.GEE increased insulin-like growth factor 1(IGF1)and activated its receptor(IGF1R),which phosphorylates Ca^(2+)/calmodulin-dependent kinase IV(CaMKIV)at tyrosine sites and triggers its nuclear translocation, subsequently upregulating histone acetyltransferase(HAT)and BDNF transcription. The upregulation of IGF1 mimicked the effects of GEE,while IGF1R or HAT inhibition during pregnancy abolished the GEE-induced CaMKIV-dependent histone hyperacetylation and BDNF upregulation. Conclusions:These findings suggest that activation of IGF1R/CaMKIV/HAT/BDNF signaling by gestational environment enrichment may serve as a promising strategy to delay AD progression.Enjie Liu Qiuzhi Zhou Ao-Ji Xie Mengzhu Li Shujuan Zhang Hezhou Huang Zhenyu Liuyang Yali Wang Bingjin Liu Xiaoguang Li Dongsheng Sun Yuping Wei Xiaochuan Wang Qun Wang Dan Ke Xifei Yang Ying Yang Jian-Zhi Wang 2019Translational Neurodegeneration2019,8,1:1

Regulating solid electrolyte interphases on phosphorus/carbon anodes via localized high-concentration electrolytes for potassium-ion batteries显示文摘The resourceful and inexpensive red phosphorus has emerged as a promising anode material of potassium-ion batteries(PIBs) for its large theoretical capacities and low redox potentials in the multielectron alloying/dealloying reactions, yet chronically suffering from the huge volume expansion/shrinkage with a sluggish reaction kinetics and an unsatisfactory interfacial stability against volatile electrolytes.Herein,we systematically developed a series of localized high-concentration electrolytes(LHCE) through diluting high-concentration ether electrolytes with a non-solvating fluorinated ether to regulate the formation/evolution of solid electrolyte interphases(SEI) on phosphorus/carbon(P/C) anodes for PIBs.Benefitting from the improved mechanical strength and structural stability of a robust/uniform SEI thin layer derived from a composition-optimized LHCE featured with a unique solvation structure and a superior K+migration capability, the P/C anode with noticeable pseudocapacitive behaviors could achieve a large reversible capacity of 760 mA h g^(-1)at 100 mA g^(-1),a remarkable capacity retention rate of 92.6% over 200 cycles at 800 mA g^(-1),and an exceptional rate capability of 334 mA h g^(-1)at8000 mA g^(-1).Critically,a suppressed reduction of ether solvents with a preferential decomposition of potassium salts in anion-derived interfacial reactions on P/C anode for LHCE could enable a rational construction of an outer organic-rich and inner inorganic-dominant SEI thin film with remarkable mechanical strength/flexibility to buffer huge volume variations and abundant K+diffusion channels to accelerate reaction kinetics.Additionally, the highly reversible/durable full PIBs coupling P/C anodes with annealed organic cathodes further verified an excellent practical applicability of LHCE.This encouraging work on electrolytes regulating SEI formation/evolution would advance the development of P/C anodes for high-performance PIBs.Wei Xiao Peiyi Shi Zhengkui Li Chong Xie Jian Qin Huijuan Yang Jingjing Wang Wenbin Li Jiujun Zhang Xifei Li 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,3:1
Multiomics analysis reveals metabolic subtypes and identifies diacylglycerol kinase α (DGKA) as a potential therapeutic target for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma显示文摘Background:Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(iCCA)is a highly heteroge-neous and lethal hepatobiliary tumor with few therapeutic strategies. The metabolic reprogramming of tumor cells plays an essential role in the develop-ment of tumors, while the metabolic molecular classification of iCCA is largely unknown. Here,we performed an integrated multiomics analysis and metabolic classification to depict differences in metabolic characteristics of iCCA patients, hoping to provide a novel perspective to understand and treat iCCA.Methods:We performed integrated multiomics analysis in 116 iCCA samples, including whole-exome sequencing, bulk RNA-sequencing and proteome anal-ysis.Based on the non-negative matrix factorization method and the protein abundance of metabolic genes in human genome-scale metabolic models, the metabolic subtype of iCCA was determined.Survival and prognostic gene analy-ses were used to compare overall survival(OS)differences between metabolic subtypes.Cell proliferation analysis,5-ethynyl-2’-deoxyuridine(EdU)assay,colony formation assay,RNA-sequencing and Western blotting were performed to investigate the molecular mechanisms of diacylglycerol kinaseα(DGKA)in iCCA cells. Results:Three metabolic subtypes(S1-S3)with subtype-specific biomarkers of iCCA were identified. These metabolic subtypes presented with distinct prog-noses,metabolic features, immune microenvironments, and genetic alterations. The S2 subtype with the worst survival showed the activation of some special metabolic processes,immune-suppressed microenvironment and Kirsten ratsar-coma viral oncogene homolog(KRAS)/AT-rich interactive domain 1A(ARID1A)mutations.Among the S2 subtype-specific upregulated proteins,DGKA was further identified as a potential drug target for iCCA,which promoted cell proliferation by enhancing phosphatidic acid(PA)metabolism and activating mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling. Conclusion:Viamultiomics analyses,we identified three metabolic subtypes of iCCA,revealing that the S2 subtype exhibited the poorest survival outcomes. We further identified DGKA as a potential target for the S2 subtype.Weiren Liu Huqiang Wang Qianfu Zhao Chenyang Tao Weifeng Qu Yushan Hou Run Huang Zimei Sun Guiqi Zhu Xifei Jiang Yuan Fang Jun Gao Xiaoling Wu Zhixiang Yang Rongyu Ping Jiafeng Chen Rui Yang Tianhao Chu Jian Zhou Jia Fan Zheng Tang Dong Yang Yinghong Shi 2024Cancer Communications2024,44,2:0
A Review on Engineering Transition Metal Compound Catalysts to Accelerate the Redox Kinetics of Sulfur Cathodes for Lithium–Sulfur Batteries显示文摘Engineering transition metal compounds(TMCs)catalysts with excellent adsorption-catalytic ability has been one of the most effec-tive strategies to accelerate the redox kinetics of sulfur cathodes.Herein, this review focuses on engineering TMCs catalysts by cation doping/anion doping/dual doping,bimetallic/bi-anionic TMCs,and TMCs-based heterostructure composites. It is obvious that introducing cations/anions to TMCs or constructing heterostructure can boost adsorption-catalytic capacity by regulating the electronic structure including energy band,d/p-band center, electron filling, and valence state. Moreover, the elec-tronic structure of doped/dual-ionic TMCs are adjusted by inducing ions with different electronegativity, electron filling, and ion radius, resulting in electron redistribution, bonds reconstruction, induced vacancies due to the electronic interaction and changed crystal structure such as lat-tice spacing and lattice distortion.Different from the aforementioned two strategies, heterostructures are constructed by two types of TMCs with different Fermi energy levels, which causes built-in electric field and electrons transfer through the interface, and induces electron redistribution and arranged local atoms to regulate the electronic structure.Additionally, the lacking studies of the three strategies to comprehensively regulate electronic structure for improving catalytic performance are pointed out.It is believed that this review can guide the design of advanced TMCs catalysts for boosting redox of lithium sulfur batteries.Liping Chen Guiqiang Cao Yong Li Guannan Zu Ruixian Duan Yang Bai Kaiyu Xue Yonghong Fu Yunhua Xu Juan Wang Xifei Li 2024Nano-Micro Letters2024,16,5:0
