Human monoclonal antibodies block the binding of SARS-CoV-2 spike protein to angiotensin converting enzyme 2 receptor显示文摘According to the World Health Organization(WHO)newly updated situation report on March 18th,2020,the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has confirmed 191,127 cases and claimed 7807 deaths worldwide.1 The etiological agent of COVID-19 has been identified as a novel coronavirus, the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),belonging to Sarbecovirus subgenus(genus Betacoronavirus, family Coronaviridae)and showing 79.6 and 96.2%sequence identity in nucleotide to SARS-CoV and a bat coronavirus(BatCoV RaTG13),respectively.2–4 Like SARS-CoV infection,a substantial fraction of COVID-19 patients exhibits severe respiratory symptoms and has to be hospitalized in intensive care unit.5–8 Although the mortality rate of COVID-19 is significantly lower than that of SARS-CoV infection,SARS-CoV-2 shows much higher human-to-human transmission rate, rapidly leading to a global pandemic declared by WHO on March 11th,2020. | Xiangyu Chen Ren Li Zhiwei Pan Chunfang Qian Yang Yang Renrong You Jing Zhao Pinghuang Liu Leiqiong Gao Zhirong Li Qizhao Huang Lifan Xu Jianfang Tang Qin Tian Wei Yao Li Hu Xiaofeng Yan Xinyuan Zhou Yuzhang Wu Kai Deng Zheng Zhang Zhaohui Qian Yaokai Chen Lilin Ye | 2020 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,6: | 17
The emergence, development and regional differences of mixed farming of rice and millet in the upper and middle Huai River Valley, China显示文摘Mixed farming of rice and millet is one of the basic agricultural modes in the upper and middle Huai River Valley(HRV). According to the latest data, this agricultural mode appeared during the middle and late Peiligang Culture(7.8–7.0 ka BP) in the upper HRV, and then became a common subsistence economy in the end of the Neolithic(5.0–4.0 ka BP) in both the upper and middle HRV. However, it is still not clear how this mixed farming developed in the upper HRV after its occurrence, nor are the regional differences in the development of mixed farming between the upper and middle HRV during the Neolithic completely understood. In this paper, flotation and starch analyses were conducted on samples from eight archaeological sites in the upper and middle HRV. The results indicate that the mixed farming of rice and millet first appeared in the later phase of the middle Neolithic in the regions of the Peiligang Culture, then developed quite rapidly in the late Neolithic(6.8–5.0 ka BP), finally becoming the main subsistence economy at the end of the Neolithic in the upper HRV. However, there are obvious differences in the emergence and development of agriculture between the middle and upper HRV. Rice farming was the only agricultural system during the middle Neolithic, lasting until the end of the Neolithic, when mixed farming appeared in the middle HRV. Furthermore, although mixed farming appeared in both the upper and middle HRV during the end of the Neolithic, the roles of rice, foxtail millet and broomcorn millet in the subsistence economy were not the same. In general, millet was more widely cultivated than rice in the upper HRV, but rice occupied the same or a slightly more prominent position in the middle HRV at the end of the Neolithic. These results are significant for understanding the process of agricultural development and transformation, as well as human adaptation to climatic and cultural variability duringthe Neolithic. | YANG YuZhang CHENG ZhiJie LI WeiYa YAO Ling LI ZhanYang LUO WuHong YUAN ZengJian ZHANG Juan ZHANG JuZhong | 2016 | Science China Earth Sciences2016,59,9: | 11
Plant food sources and stone tools' function at the site of Shunshanji based on starch grain analysis显示文摘The upper-middle Huai River valley(HRV) is located in the transition zone in the middle of eastern China. Previous studies have shown that the past populations in the upper HRV obtained plant food through gathering and cultivation of both rice and millet during the middle Neolithic. However, for the middle HRV it is not very clear what methods were used by humans to obtain plant food in that time. In this paper, starch grain analysis was carried out on 17 stone tools and 29 cauldron pottery sherds unearthed at Shunshanji(8.5–7.0 kyr BP), which is known as the earliest Neolithic site in the middle HRV excavated so far. Here, ancient starches from Coix lacryma-jobi, Triticeae, Oryza sativa, Trichosanthes kirilowii and one unidentified specie were recovered. This study contributes to the limited knowledge of food strategies as observed in the middle HRV. It demonstrates that both gathering and cultivation of rice took place during the middle-Neolithic. Among the identified species, Coix lacryma-jobi appears to have been the main plant food at Shunshanji. Moreover, it is clear that Oryza sativa was not consumed as much as other plant species according to the occurrence frequency of different starch grains. Starch grains were also found on the used surfaces of grinding stone implements as well as pestles, which means that these stone tools were used for food processing. In addition, axes from Shunshanji may also have been used for food processing as well as wood working because starches were also found on the edge of axes. Information about subsistence strategies and tool use at Shunshanji will also be helpful to understanding the utilization of plants and agricultural development in the middle HRV during the early-middle Neolithic period. | YANG YuZhang LI WeiYa YAO Ling CHENG ZhiJie LUO WuHong ZHANG JuZhong LIN LiuGen GAN HuiYuan YAN Long | 2016 | Science China Earth Sciences2016,59,8: | 9
Dynamic State Estimation for Integrated Electricity-gas Systems Based on Kalman Filter显示文摘In recent years, integrated electricity-gas systems(IEGSs) have attracted widespread attention. The unifiedscheduling and control of the IEGS depends on high-precisionoperating data. To this end, it is necessary to establish anappropriate state estimation (SE) model for IEGS to filter theraw measured data. Considering that power systems and naturalgas systems have different time scales and sampling periods, thispaper proposes a dynamic state estimation (DSE) method basedon a Kalman filter that can consider the dynamic characteristicsof natural gas pipelines. First, the standardized state transitionequations for the gas system are developed by applying the finitedifference method to the partial differential equations (PDEs) ofthe gas system;then the DSE model for IEGS is formulatedbased on a Kalman filter;also, the measurements from theelectricity system and the gas system with different samplingperiods are fused to ensure the observability of DSE by using theinterpolation method. The IEEE 39-bus electricity system and the18-nodes Belgium gas system are integrated as the test systems.Simulation results verify the proposed method’s accuracy andcalculation efficiency. | Yanbo Chen Yuan Yao Yuzhang Lin Xiaonan Yang | 2022 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2022,8,1: | 7
Data-driven Robust State Estimation Through Off-line Learning and On-line Matching显示文摘To overcome the shortcomings of model-driven state estimation methods, this paper proposes a data-driven robust state estimation (DDSE) method through off-line learning and on-line matching. At the off-line learning stage, a linear regression equation is presented by clustering historical data from supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), which provides a guarantee for solving the over-learning problem of the existing DDSE methods;then a novel robust state estimation method that can be transformed into quadratic programming (QP) models is proposed to obtain the mapping relationship between the measurements and the state variables (MRBMS). The proposed QP models can well solve the problem of collinearity in historical data. Furthermore, the off-line learning stage is greatly accelerated from three aspects including reducing historical categories, constructing tree retrieval structure for known topologies, and using sensitivity analysis when solving QP models. At the on-line matching stage, by quickly matching the current snapshot with the historical ones, the corresponding MRBMS can be obtained, and then the estimation values of the state variables can be obtained. Simulations demonstrate that the proposed DDSE method has obvious advantages in terms of suppressing over-learning problems, dealing with collinearity problems, robustness, and computation efficiency. | Yanbo Chen Hao Chen Yang Jiao Jin Ma Yuzhang Lin | 2021 | Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2021,9,4: | 6

In situ formation of ionically conductive nanointerphase on Si particles for stable battery anode显示文摘Silicon(Si)is a promising anode candidate for next-generation lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)due to its high theoretical capacity.Solar Si photovoltaic waste possesses good purity and high output.Using it as the raw material for battery anodes can synchronously solve the problem of solid waste pollution and enable high energy density LIBs.A critical issue impeding the practical application of Si is the undesirable side reactions at the electrolyte-particle interface and the resulting increase in impedance during cycling.Herein,a Si-P core shell structure with chemical bonding at the Si-P interface is fabricated through a simple mechanical alloying reaction between red P and solar Si photovoltaic waste. The P nanoshell with thickness within 15 nm converts to Li3P during the initial lithiation process and maintains its phase on cycling. The as-formed Li3P nanolayer functions as a stable, ionically conductive protective layer that reduces the direct contact between Si and electrolytes, and thus suppresses undesired side reactions. The Si-P nanocomposite exhibits stable electrochemical cycling with a high reversible capacity of 1,178 mAh g^(−1)after 500 cycles at 1,200 mA g^(−1),as well as excellent rate capability(912 mAh g^(−1)at 2 C).With 15 wt%addition to graphite,a graphite/Si-P hybrid electrode shows a high overall reversible specific capacity of 447 mAh g^(−1)and 88.3%capacity retention after 100 cycles at high areal capacity of 2.64 mAh cm^(−2) at 100 mA g^(−1),indicating its promise as a drop-in anode in practical LIBs. | Xiaoxue Chen Gaofeng Ge Wenyu Wang Bao Zhang Jianjun Jiang Xuelin Yang Yuzhang Li Li Wang Xiangming He Yongming Sun | 2021 | Science China Chemistry2021,64,8: | 2

Efficient control of chronic LCMV infection by a CD4 T cell epitope-based heterologous prime-boost vaccination in a murine model显示文摘CD4^(+)T cells are essential for sustaining CD8^(+)T cell responses during a chronic infection. The adoptive transfer of virus-specific CD4^(+)T cells has been shown to efficiently rescue exhausted CD8^(+)T cells. However, the question of whether endogenous virus-specific CD4^(+)T cell responses can be enhanced by certain vaccination strategies and subsequently reinvigorate exhausted CD8^(+)T cells remains unexplored. In this study,we developed a CD4^(+)T cell epitope-based heterologous prime-boost immunization strategy and examined the efficacy of this strategy using a mouse model of chronic lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus(LCMV)infection. We primed chronically LCMV-infected mice with a Listeria monocytogenes vector that expressed the LCMV glycoprotein-specific I-Ab-restricted CD4^(+)T cell epitope GP61–80(LM-GP61)and subsequently boosted the primed mice with an influenza virus A(PR8 strain)vector that expressed the same CD4^(+)T cell epitope(IAV-GP61).This heterologous prime-boost vaccination strategy elicited strong anti-viral CD4^(+)T cell responses, which further improved both the quantity and quality of the virusspecific CD8^(+)T cells and led to better control of the viral loads. The combination of this strategy and the blockade of the programmed cell death-1(PD-1)inhibitory pathway further enhanced the anti-viral CD8^(+)T cell responses and viral clearance. Thus,a heterologous prime-boost immunization that selectively induces virus-specific CD4^(+)T cell responses in conjunction with blockade of the inhibitory pathway may represent a promising therapeutic approach to treating patients with chronic viral infections. | Ran He Xinxin Yang Cheng Liu Xiangyu Chen Lin Wang Minglu Xiao Jianqiang Ye Yuzhang Wu Lilin Ye | 2018 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,9: | 1
Structural and Functional Design of Electrospun Nanofibers for Hemostasis and Wound Healing显示文摘Electrospun nanofibers have been extensively studied in the biomedical field, including the controlled release of drugs, bionics, cell scaffolds, hemostasis, wound healing, and tissue engineering because of their high porosity, large surface area-to-volume ratio, and programmable features. In recent years researchers have continuously broadened the structural design of electrospun nanofibers, which have evolved from one-dimensional to three-dimensional structures,in order to diversify their function. These properties enable nanofibers to structurally and functionally mimic natural extracellular matrix(ECM),thereby obtaining a favorable physiological microenvironment for both wound healing and hemostasis due to improved blood coagulation and concentration.A comprehensive review summarizing the recent research progress of the structural and functional design of electrospun nanofibers for hemostasis and wound healing,on the other hand,is lacking. This review summarizes electrospun nanofibers used for hemostasis and wound healing, with a focus on structural design and modification strategies. The wide application of electrospun nanofibers in hemostasis and wound healing is clarified using a special structural and innovative design for electrospinning. The advantages and limitations of electrospun nanofibers with various structural forms are also discussed,as are the main challenges and future development directions for the development of structurally specific electrospun nanofibers for hemostasis and wound healing. | Yutong Yang Yuzhang Du Jie Zhang Hualei Zhang Baolin Guo | 2022 | Advanced Fiber Materials2022,4,5: | 1

MyD88 exacerbates immunological pathology in experimental viral fulminant hepatitis显示文摘Objective To explore the role of MyD88 signaling in MHV-3 virus-mediated fulminant hepatitis. Methods We evaluated liver lesion status, the expression of multiple pro-inflammatory cytokines and HMGB1, the recruitment of inflammatory ILC3, and mortality in MyD88-/-and WT mice. Results The expression of multiple pro-inflammatory cytokines that recruit inflammatory ILC3 to the liver was severely impaired in MyD88-/-mice resulting in reduced liver pathology, viral replication, and mortality post-infection. Additionally, MHV-3 markedly increased the expression of high-mobility group box 1(HMGB1) in infected hepatocytes/macrophages and induced HMGB1 protein migration from the nucleus to the extracellular milieu, where it activates MyD88-dependent inflammation. Conclusion Our findings indicate that MyD88 exacerbates immunological pathology in experimental viral fulminant hepatitis. | Jianzhao Deng Qin Ning Weiming Yan Xuan Yang Lizhen Zhao Yuzhang Wu Bei Zhang | 2019 | Oncology and Translational Medicine2019,5,2: | 1

The lncRNA Snhgl-Vpsl3D vesicle trafficking system promotes memory CD8 T cell establishment via regulating the dual effects of IL-7 signaling显示文摘The efficient induction and long-term persistence of pathogen-specific memory CD8 T cells are pivotal to rapidly curb the reinfection.Recent studies indicated that long-noncoding RNAs expression is highly cell-and stage-specific during T cell development and differentiation, suggesting their potential roles in T cell programs. However, the key lncRNAs playing crucial roles in memory CD8 T cell establishment remain to be clarified.Through CD8 T cell subsets profiling of lncRNAs,this study found a key lncRNA-Snhgl with the conserved naivehl-effectorlo-memoryh,expression pattern in CD8 T cells of both mice and human, that can promote memory formation while impeding effector CD8 in acute viral infection.Further,Snhgl was found interacting with the conserved vesicle trafficking protein Vps13D to promote IL-7Ra membrane location specifically. With the deep mechanism probing, the results show Snhgl-Vps13D regulated IL-7 signaling with its dual effects in memory CD8 generation, which not just because of the sustaining role of STAT5-BCL-2 axis for memory survival, but more through the STAT3-TCF1-Blimp1 axis for transcriptional launch program of memory differentiation. Moreover,we performed further study with finding a similar high-low-high expression pattern of human SNHG1A/PS13D/IL7R/TCF7 in CD8 T cell subsets from PBMC samples of the convalescent COVID-19 patients. The central role of Snhgl-Vps13D-IL-7R-TCF1 axis in memory CD8 establishment makes it a potential target for improving the vaccination effects to control the ongoing pandemic. | Yanyan Zhang Baohua Li Qiang Bai Pengcheng Wang Gang Wei Zhirong Li Li Hu Qin Tian Jing Zhou Qizhao Huang Zhiming Wang Shuai Yue Jialin Wu Liuqing Yang Xinyuan Zhou Lubin Jiang Ting Ni Lilin Ye Yuzhang Wu | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,4: | 0
