1Outcome of multimodal MRI-guided intravenous thrombolysis in patients with stroke with unknown time of onset显示文摘Objective Intravenous tissue plasminogen activator(tPA)is the standard therapy for patients with acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)within 4.5 hours of onset.Recent trials have expanded the endovascular treatment window to 24 hours.We investigated the efficacy and safety of using multimodal MRI to guide intravenous tPA treatment for patients with AIS of unknown time of onset(UTO).Methods Data on patients with AIS with UTO and within 4.5 hours of onset were reviewed.Data elements collected and analysed included:demographics,National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)score at baseline and 2 hours,24 hours,7 days after thrombolysis and before discharge,the modified Rankin Scale(mRS)score at 3 months after discharge,imaging findings and any adverse event.results Forty-two patients with UTO and 62 in control group treated within 4.5 hours of onset were treated with intravenous tPA.The NIHSS scores after thrombolysis and/or before discharge in UTO group were significantly improved compared with the baseline(p<0.05).Between the two groups,no significant differences in NIHSS score were observed(p>0.05).Utilising the non-inferiority test,to compare mRS scores(0-2)at 3 months between the two groups,the difference was 5.2%(92%CI,OR 0.196).Patients in the UTO group had mRS scores of 0-2,which were non-inferior to the control group.Their incidence of adverse events was similar.Conclusions Utilising multimodal MRI to guide intravenous only thrombolysis for patients with AIS with UTO was safe and effective.In those patients with AIS between 6 and 24 hours of time of onset but without large arterial occlusion,intravenous thrombolysis could be considered an option.Jie Zhao Hongmei Zhao Runtao Li Jiangtao Li Chang Liu Juan Lv Yanan Li Wei Liu Dongpu Ma Huaihai Hao Xinguang Xiao Junzhong Liu Yongfeng Yin Rongli Liu Qiaoyan Yu Yingjie Wei Pengyan Li Yue Wang Runqing Wang 2019Stroke & Vascular Neurology2019,4,1:8
2Bamboo charcoal enhances cellulase and urease activities during chicken manure composting:Roles of the bacterial community and metabolic functions显示文摘Microbial enzymes are crucial for material biotransformation during the composting process.In this study,we investigated the effects of adding bamboo charcoal(BC)(i.e.,at 5%,10%,and 20%corresponding to BC5,BC10,and BC20,respectively)on the enzyme activity levels during chicken manure composting.The results showed that BC10 could increase the cellulose and urease activities by 56%and 96%,respectively.The bacterial community structure in BC10 differed from those in the other treatments,and Luteivirga,Lactobacillus,Paenalcaligenes,Ulvibacter,Bacillus,Facklamia,Pelagibacterium,Sporosarcina,Cellvibrio,and Corynebacterium had the most important roles in composting.Compared with other treatments,BC10 significantly enhanced the average rates of degradation of carbohydrates(Dxylose(40%)andα-D-lactose(44%))and amino acids(L-arginine(16%),L-asparagine(14%),and L-threonine(52%)).We also explored the associations among the bacterial community and their metabolic functions with the changes in the activities of enzymes.Network analysis demonstrated that BC10 altered the co-occurrence patterns of the bacterial communities,where Ulvibacter and class Bacilli were the keystone bacterial taxa with high capacities for degrading carbon source,and they were related to increases in the activities of cellulase and urease,respectively.The results obtained in this study may help to further enhance the efficiency of composting.Yanan Yin Chao Yang Jingrui Tang Jie Gu Haichao Li Manli Duan Xiaochang Wang Rong Chen 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,10:4
3Genome-wide analysis indicates diverse physiological roles of the turnip (Brassica rapa var. rapa) oligopeptide transporters gene family显示文摘Oligopeptide transporters(OPTs) encode integral membrane-localized proteins and have a broad range of substrate transport capabilities. Here, 28 BrrOPT genes were identified in the turnip. Phylogenetic analyses revealed two well-supported clades in the OPT family, containing 15 BrrOPTs and 13 BrrYSLs.The exon/intron structure of OPT clade are conserved but the yellow stripe-like(YSL) clade was different.The exon/intron of the YSL clade possesses structural differences, whereas the YSL class motifs structure are conserved. The OPT genes are distributed unevenly among the chromosomes of the turnip genome.Phylogenetic and chromosomal distribution analyses revealed that the expansion of the OPT gene family is mainly attributable to segmental duplication. For the expression profiles at different developmental stages, a comprehensive analysis provided insights into the possible functional divergence among members of the paralog OPT gene family. Different expression levels under a variety of ion deficiencies also indicated that the OPT family underwent functional divergence during long-term evolution.Furthermore. BrrOPT8.1, BrrYSL1.2, BrrYSL1.3, BrrYSL6 and BrrYSL9 responded to Fe(Ⅱ) treatments and BrrYSL7 responded to calcium treatments, BrrYSL6 responded to multiple treatments in root, suggesting that turnip OPTs may be involved in mediating cross-talk among different ion deficiencies. 4Efficient and targeted drug/siRNA co-delivery mediated by reversibly crosslinked polymersomes toward anti-inflammatory treatment of ulcerative colitis (UC)显示文摘Co-delivery of anti-inflammatory siRNA and hydrophilic drug provides a promising approach for the treatment of ulcerative colitis (UC). However, lack of a suitable and efficient co-delivery carrier poses critical challenge against their utilization. We herein developed macrophage-targeting, reversibly crossli nked polymersomes (TKPR-RCP) based on the TKPR-modified, poly(ethyle ne glycol)-b-poly(trimethylene carbonate-codithiolane trimethylene carbonate)-b-polyethylenimine (PEG-P(TMC-DTC)-PEI) triblock copolymer, which could efficiently encapsulate TNF-α siRNA and dexamethasone sodium phosphate (DSP) in their hydrophilic core. The cationic PEI segments provided additional electrostatic interactions with cargo molecules to promote the encapsulatiion, and disulfide crosslinking of the polymersome membrane endowed the TKPR-RCP with high colloidal stability. Because the cationic PEI was embedded in the hydrophilic core, the polymersomes displayed neutral surface charge and thus possessed high serum stability. The TKPR-RCP co-encapsulating TNF-α siRNA and DSP could be efficiently internalized by macrophages (~98%) and undergo redox-responsive membrane de-crosslinking to accelerate cargo release in the cytoplasm, thus inducing efficient gene silencing and anti-inflammatory effect .Intravenous injectio n of the co-delivery TKPR-RCP mediated pote nt and cooperative anti-inflammatory effect in inflamed colons of UC mice, and significantly prevented animals from colonic injury. 5Active and stable Cu doped NiMgAlO catalysts for upgrading ethanol to n-butanol显示文摘Upgrading ethanol to n-butanol is an attractive way for renewable n-butanol production. Herein, Cu was selected to modify NiMgAlO catalysts for improving ethanol conversion and n-butanol selectivity. Over the optimized 2%Cu-NiMgAlO catalyst, ethanol conversion and n-butanol selectivity were enhanced to 30.0% and 64.2%, respectively, in 200 h time on stream at 523 K. According to physicochemical characterizations and theoretical calculations, the key role of multiple active sites in this reaction was extensively investigated. The plate-like structure of hydrotalcite was maintained over 2%Cu-NiMgAlO catalysts, with an average Ni particle size of ca. 5.4 nm. The presence of Cu species created CuNi alloy sites and Lewis acid-base pairs, and increased hydrogen transfer and condensation reactions, resulting in elevated ethanol conversion and n-butanol selectivity. 7An improved least mean square/fourth direct adaptive equalizer for under-water acoustic communications in the Arctic显示文摘An improved least mean square/fourth direct adaptive equalizer(LMS/F-DAE)is proposed in this paper for underwater acoustic communication in the Arctic.It is able to process complex-valued baseband signals and has better equalization performance than LMS.Considering the sparsity feature of equalizer tap coefficients,an adaptive norm(AN)is incorporated into the cost function which is utilized as a sparse regularization.The norm constraint changes adaptively according to the amplitude of each coefficient.For small-scale coefficients,the sparse constraint exists to accelerate the convergence speed.For large-scale coefficients,it disappears to ensure smaller equalization error.The performance of the proposed AN-LMS/F-DAE is verified by the experimental data from the 9th Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition.The results show that compared with the standard LMS/F-DAE,AN-LMS/F-DAE can promote the sparse level of the equalizer and achieve better performance.Yanan Tian Xiao Han Jingwei Yin Hongxia Chen Qingyu Liu 2020Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,9:1
8Tablets of paliperidone using compression-coated technology for controlled ascending release显示文摘The aim of this work was to prepare ascending release compression-coated(CC) tablets with paliperidone(PAL) using a simple manufacturing technique and short manufacturing process.The release behavior and mechanisms in vitro of the final tablets was investigated and evaluated. The PAL CC tablets were comprised of a core layer of high viscosity hydroxypropyl cellulose(HPC-H) and a coating layer of high viscosity hydroxypropyl methylcellulose(HPMCK100 M). Several factors such as materials and core tablet compositions were studied for their influence in the formulation procedure. The drug release mechanism was studied using gravimetric analysis. The data could be fitted to the Peppas model. The ascending drug release results were expressed in terms of the slope of the release curve at different time points.Results showed that the formulation could achieve a good ascending drug release when the weight ratio of PAL was 5:1(core:layer). The fraction of HPC and HPMC was 33 %, and the combination of Eudragit RL-PO was 10%. The ascending release mechanism was due to solvent penetration into the PAL CC tablets, and subsequent drug dissolution from the gelatinous HPC and HPMC matrix erosion. The release mechanism was therefore a combination of diffusion and erosion. 9Marine bacteria inhibit corrosion of steel via synergistic biomineralization显示文摘Metal corrosion often results in incalculable economic loss and significant safety hazards. Although numerous traditional methods have been used to mitigate the issue, such as coating and corrosion inhibitors, they are environmentally unfriendly and difficult to maintain. Therefore, in this study, an environmental approach was taken to protect steels from corrosion in a multi-species bacterial environment via synergistic biomineralization. The marine bacterium Pseudoalteromonas lipolytica mixed with Bacillus subtilis or Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains offered extraordinary corrosion protection for steel.The surface characterization and electrochemical tests showed that the biomineralized film generated by the mixed bacteria was more compact and protective than that induced by a single bacterium. Herein,we found that the synergistic mechanisms were rather different for the different bacterial groups. For Pseudoalteromonas lipolytica and Bacillus subtilis group, the related mechanisms were due to the increase of pH in the medium, secretion of carbonic anhydrase. As for Pseudoalteromonas lipolytica and Pseudomonas aeruginosa group, the synergistic mechanism was attributed to the inhibiting corrosive bacteria in biofilm by the growth advantage of Pseudoalteromonas lipolytica. 10Honeycomb-like g-C_(3)N_(4)/CeO_(2)-x nanosheets obtained via one step hydrothermal-roasting for efficient and stable Cr(Ⅵ) photo-reduction显示文摘Graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))-based materials are regarded as one of the most potential photocatalysts for utilizing solar energy.In this work,we reported a facile one step in-situ hydrothermal-roasting method for preparing honeycomb-like g-C_(3)N_(4)/CeO_(2) nanosheets with abundant oxygen vacancies(g-C_(3)N_(4)/CeO_(2)-x).The hydrothermal-roasting and incomplete-sealed state can(i)generate an in-situ reducing atmosphere(CO,N2,NH3) to tune the concentration of oxygen vacancies in CeO_(2);(ii) beneficial to prevent continuous growth of g-C_(3)N_(4) and results in honeycomb-like g-C_(3)N_(4)/CeO_(2)-x hybrid nanosheets.What is more,the g-C_(3)N_(4)/CeO_(2)-x photocatalyst exhibited extended photoresponse range,increased specific surface area and obviously enhanced separation efficiency of photogenerated electron-hole pairs.As a proof-of-concept application,the optimized g-C_(3)N_(4)/CeO_(2)-xnanosheets could achieve 98% removal efficiency for Cr(Ⅵ) under visible light irradiation(λ≥420 nm)within 2.5 h,which is significantly better than those of pure g-C_(3)N_(4) and CeO_(2).This work provides a new idea for more rationally designing and constructing g-C_(3)N_(4)-based catalysts for efficient extended photochemical application.Yanan Liu Zhangfeng Shen Jialing Song Huilan Qi Chaochuang Yin Xuhui Zou Qineng Xia Lifeng Cui Xi Li Yangang Wang 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10:1
11Mercury isotope constraints on the genesis of late Mesozoic Sb deposits in South China显示文摘The late Mesozoic antimony(Sb)mineralization belt in South China hosts a large portion of the world’s Sb reserves.However,the source and mineralization processes of these Sb deposits remain controversial.Here,we measured mercury(Hg)concentrations and isotopic compositions of stibnite in the Banpo Sb-only and Woxi Sbpolymetallic ore deposits,as well as associated rocks in the Yangtze Block in order to constrain the metal sources and ore formation processes in the South China Sb mineralization belt.Stibnite samples from both deposits exhibit significant enrichment in Hg(4.23–50.6 ppm)and have higher δ^(202)Hg values(−0.47‰to 2.03‰)than the studied Precambrian basement rocks(−1.42‰to 0.59‰),Paleozoic sedimentary rocks(−2.40‰to−0.32‰),and other natural Hg reserves(e.g.,marine and continental systems).This indicates that significant mass-dependent fractionation of Hg isotopes occurred during hydrothermal processes.Negative to slightly positive Δ^(199)Hg values of−0.17‰to 0.02‰were obtained for stibnite from the studied deposits,similar to values for the Precambrian basement rocks,but different from those of the Paleozoic sedimentary rocks and data previously reported for mantle materials.This suggests that Precambrian basement rocks were the source of Hg and associated metals.Our data and the tectonic evolution of South China indicate that late Mesozoic asthenospheric upwelling,in response to the Paleo-Pacific oceanic slab foundering,generated heat that drove the circulation of fluids in the basement and crustal basinal rocks.These fluids leached Sb,Hg,and other metals from the Precambrian basement rocks and formed the world-class Sb mineralization belt in South China.Changzhou DENG Jiawei ZHANG Ruizhong HU Kai LUO Yanan ZHU Runsheng YIN 2022Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,2:1
12Genome-wide Association Analysis of Fast Chlorophyll Fluorescence Parameters in Maize显示文摘Fast chlorophyll fluorescence parameters are widely used to characterize the photosynthetic efficiency of plants. In this study,a genome-wide association analysis was used to detect key single-nucleotide polymorphisms( SNPs) associated with fast chlorophyll fluorescence parameters using more than 560 000 SNPs in a maize panel consisting of 404 inbred lines. In four field environments,41 SNPs were detected to be associated with five fast chlorophyll fluorescence parameters,including ABS / CS_o,ET_o/ CS_o,TR_o/ ABS,ET_o/ TRoand PIcs. Among these identified SNPs,8,6,18,4 and 5 were significantly associated with ET_o/ TR_o,ABS/CS_o,TRo/ ABS,ET_o/ CS_oand PIcs,respectively. 13Substance use and self-medication during pregnancy and associations with sociodemographic data:A cross-sectional survey显示文摘Objective:To identify women vulnerable to substance use and self-medication during pregnancy based on associations with socio-demographic data.Methods:Data were collected in person,with self-developed questionnaires,from pregnant women(n=422)in Chengdu,China,from July to November 2012.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to reveal associations with socio-demographic parameters.Results:Higher educational background,being employed,and higher educational background of the mother were associated with a 37%[odds ratio(OR):0.63,95%CI:0.45-0.89],65%(OR:0.35,95%CI:0.13-0.94),and 29%(OR:0.71,95%CI:0.53-0.96)less likelihood of alcohol use,respectively.Adverse pregnancy outcome was associated with a 2.13-fold(OR:2.13,95%CI:1.07-4.25)greater likelihood of alcohol use.Young age and higher educational background were associated with an 11%(OR:0.89,95%CI:0.81-0.98)and 31%(OR:0.69,95%CI:0.49-0.98)less likelihood of cigarette smoking,respectively.Conclusion:Socio-demographic parameters were associated with substance use during pregnancy and warrants targeted health education provided by nurses to pregnant women.Shujuan Liao Biru Luo Xiyuan Feng Yanan Yin Yi Yang Wenjuan Jing 2015International Journal of Nursing Sciences2015,2,1:0
14Folic acid-based supramolecules for enhanced stability in potassium ion batteries显示文摘Organics present significant prospects as environmentally friendly and sustainable electrode materials for potassium ion batteries(PIBs)because of their abundant,recyclable and highly customizable characteristics.However,small molecular organics are easily solubilized in organic electrolytes,resulting in a low capacity and poor stability.Herein,the folic acid-based supermolecules(SM-FAs)are successfully prepared by a hydrothermal assisted self-assembly strategy.Due to multi-locus hydrogen bonds(HBs)and the cyclizedπ-conjugated interactions,the structural stability of SM-FAs has been significantly improved,and the solubility in carbonate electrolytes has been effectively inhibited.As an anode for PIB,the SM-FA-6sample exhibits a large capacity(206 mAh/g at 50 mA/g)and an outstanding cycle stability(capacity retention of 91%after 1000 cycles at 50 m A/g).More impressively,an integrative storage mechanism which combines both the general enolization reaction between C=O groups and K^(+),and the atypicalπ–K^(+)interaction within the assembled conjugation framework,is unraveled for potassium ion accumulation.It is envisioned that this facile self-assemble strategy opens up a promising avenue to modulate the stability of small molecular organic electrodes with enhanced storage capacity.Yanan Wang Dandan Ouyang Liuqian Yang Chunyan Wang Jian Sun Hui Zhu Jiao Yin 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,9:0
15Aligning Fe_(2)O_(3)photo-sheets on TiO_(2)nanofibers with hydrophilic and aerophobic surface for boosting photoelectrochemical performance显示文摘Photoelectrochemical(PEC)nanomaterials are critical to producing clean oxygenation or value-added chemical production by utilizing sustainable solar energy,but are always limited by simultaneous integration of architectural engineering and electronic regulation in one structure.Directed by density functional theory(DFT)calculations and finite element analysis(FEA),the bioinspired ivy-like Fe_(2)O_(3)heterostructures with enriched oxygen defects on TiO_(2)nanofibers are designed for boosting PEC performances.Ivy-like Fe_(2)O_(3)photo-sheets remarkably enhanced the light harvesting by multiple light-mater interactions.The oxygen vacancies on Fe_(2)O_(3)photo-sheets could aid the photons catching and promote the reactivity at active sites.More importantly,demonstrated by a well-designed dynamic observation,the abundant tip-edges within ivy-like Fe_(2)O_(3)photo-sheets enabled the surface of heterostructure with hydrophilic and aerophobic properties.The functionalized surface allowed the rapid desorption of produced bubbles and thus ensured a high density of unoccupied active sites for electrolyte accessing.Featured by these attributes,the Fe_(2)O_(3)@TiO_(2)nanofibers delivered an excellent photocurrent of 40.8 mA/mg,high donor density(1.2×10^(18)cm^(−3)),and rapid oxygen production rate(1 mmol/(L∙h)).This work demonstrates a new strategy on nano-structural design for enhancing light-harvesting and making a hydrophilic/aerophobic surface on low-dimensional oxide nanomaterial,holding great potential on designing high-performance PEC devices for producing survival source gas,carbon-neutral fuel,and valuedchemicals.Xiangyu Meng Qi Zhan Yanan Wu Mengmeng Zhu Ken Liu Na Wang Kuibo Yin Yueming Sun Shuai Dong Yunqian Dai 2023Nano Research2023,16,3:0
16Isolation of phloridzin-degrading,IAA-producing bacterium Ochrobactrum haematophilum and its effects on the apple replant soil environment显示文摘We isolated and identified a bacterium that could produce IAA and degrade phloridzin in the rhizosphere soil of healthy replanted apple(the rootstock is M9T337 and the scion is Yanfu 3),providing a theoretical basis for reducing the obstacles associated with apple replant disease(ARD).Isolates were screened using Salkowski colorimetry and screening medium for phloridzin.The isolate of interest(W6)was identified as Ochrobactrum haematophilum based on morphological analysis,physiological and biochemical tests,and 16S rDNA sequencing.In a laboratory experiment,W6 produced auxin and promoted the growth of Arabidopsis thaliana roots,and its degradation rate of 100 mg.L^(-1 )phloridzin was 62.0%.In a pot experiment,W6 significantly reduced the phenolic acid contents of replanted soil,lowered the abundance of the harmful fungus Fusarium solani,and increased soil enzyme activities,thereby improving the micro-ecological environment of replant soil.W6 increased the root antioxidant enzyme activity and leaf photosynthetic pigment content of replanted Malus hupehensis Rehd.seedlings,effectively alleviating the decrease in net photosynthetic rate,transpiration rate and stomatal conductance caused by ARD.In a field experiment,W6 also promoted the growth of replanted apple(the rootstock is M9T337 and the scion is Yanfu 3)saplings.Therefore,W6 can promote apple growth and degrade phenolic acids,and it can be used as an effective treatment for the reduction of ARD.Weitao Jiang Ran Chen Lei Zhao Yanan Duan Haiyan Wang Zhubing Yan Xiang Shen Xuesen Chen Chengmiao Yin Zhiquan Mao 2023Horticultural Plant Journal2023,9,2:0

18An Incremental Graph Pattern Matching Based Dynamic Cold-Start Recommendation Method显示文摘In order to give accurate recommendations for cold-start user, researchers use social network to find similar users. These efforts assume that cold-start user’s social relationships are static. However social relationships of cold-start user may change as time pass by. In order to give accurate and timely in manner recommendations for cold-start user, it is need to update social relationship continuously. In this paper, we proposed an incremental graph pattern matching based dynamic cold-start recommendation method (IGPMDCR), which updates similar users for cold-start user based on topology of social network, and gives recommendations based on the latest similar users’ records. 20Repurposed benzydamine targeting CDK2 suppresses the growth of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is one of the leading causes of cancer death worldwide. It is urgent to develop new drugs to improve the prognosis of ESCC patients. Here, we found benzydamine, a locally acting non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, had potent cytotoxic effect on ESCC cells. Benzydamine could suppress ESCC proliferation in vivo and in vitro. In terms of mechanism, CDK2 was identified as a target of benzydamine by molecular docking, pull-down assay and in vitro kinase assay. Specifically, benzydamine inhibited the growth of ESCC cells by inhibiting CDK2 activity and affecting downstream phosphorylation of MCM2, c-Myc and Rb, resulting in cell cycle arrest.
