1The study on the safety and efficacy of amnion graft for preventing the recurrence of moderate to severe intrauterine adhesions显示文摘Transcervical resection of adhesion(TCRA)is the standard treatment for the intrauterine adhesions,but the recurrence of adhesions is a tough problem for the gynecologist.In addition,the therapeutic strategy after TCRA about prevention of recurrence remains controversial especially for the patients with moderate to severe intrauterine adhesions(IUAs).Hence,we designed this study to explore the safety and efficacy of fresh amnion grafts for preventing the recurrence after TCRA for patients with moderate to severe IUAs.One hundred patients with moderate to severe IUAs who presented with a history of hypomenorrhea,amenorrhea and infertility were included in the study from January 2015 to December 2017.Patients were divided into amnion group(52 patients)and chitosan group(48 patients).Fresh amnion grafts or intrauterine injections of chitosan were administered after TCRA.Transvaginal ultrasonography(TVUS)and hysteroscopy were performed at the first and third month after the operation.The surgical procedures for all patients were completed successfully without relevant complications.In amnion group,8 patients exhibited relapse in the first month and 2 patients in three months after surgery;in chitosan group,23 women exhibited relapse in the first month and 18 patients in three months after surgery.Statistical analysis revealed that the recurrence rate of adhesion in amnion group was significantly lower than those of chitosan group in the first and three months after surgery(P1=0.000,P2=0.000).After TCRA,fresh amnion graft plays a significant role in preventing further adhesions than injections of chitosan.Changjiang Li Aiqi Cai Congcong Sun Benyuan Wu Xinpei Chen Yanhua Mao Yingfeng Zhang Yating Gou Jie Yu Yuhan Wang Huanhuan Yu Jia Wang 2020Genes & Diseases2020,7,2:11
2Newborn screening with targeted sequencing:a multicenter investigation and a pilot clinical study in China显示文摘Different newborn screening(NBS) programs have been practiced in many countries since the 1960 s. It is of considerable interest whether next-generation sequencing is applicable in NBS. We have developed a panel of 465 causative genes for 596 early-onset, relatively high incidence, and potentially actionable severe inherited diseases in our Newborn Screening with Targeted Sequencing(NESTS) program to screen 11,484 babies in 8 Women and Children’s hospitals nationwide in China retrospectively. The positive rate from preliminary screening of NESTS was 7.85%(902/11,484). With 45.89%(414/902) follow-up of preliminary positive cases, the overall clinically confirmative diagnosis rate of monogenic disorders was 12.07%(50/414), estimating an average of 0.95%(7.85% × 12.07%) clinical diagnosis rate, suggesting that monogenic disorders account for a considerable proportion of birth defects. The disease/gene spectrum varied in different regions of China. NESTS was implemented in a hospital by screening 3923 newborns to evaluate its clinical application. The turn-around time of a primary report, including the sequencing period of < 7 days, was within 11 days by our automatic interpretation pipeline. 3Genetic Relationship between Francisella Tularensis Strains from China and from Other Countries显示文摘Objective To study the types of subspecies of Francisella tularensis from China and to investigate the genetic relationships between F.tularensis strains from China and from other countries.Methods Ten strains of F.tularensis isolated from China were amplified by using typing primers C1/C4 and RD1.On the basis of the lengths of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) products,it was concluded that these strains of F.tularensis belonged to the same subspecies.At the same time,the fopA,tul4,and 16S rRNA genes of the 10 strains were amplified,and a three‐gene based phylogenetic analysis was performed using the Molecular Evolutionary Genetics Analysis software version 4.0.Results The 10 strains of F.tularensis from China were all identified as belonging to subspecies holarctica (type B).We found no direct relationship between the genotypes of F.tularensis subsp.holarctica and the geographical area from where they were isolated.Conclusion The F.tularensis strains isolated from North China mainly belong to subspecies holarctica (type B).The strains of F.tularensis subsp.holarctica from China may have evolved earlier than those from Europe and North America.WANG YanHua HAI Rong ZHANG ZhiKai XIA LianXu CAI Hong LIANG Ying SHEN XiaoNa YU DongZheng 2011Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,3:7
4Geochemical evidence for strong ongoing methanogenesis in Sanhu region of Qaidam Basin显示文摘Sanhu depression of Qaidam Basin is the largest biogenic gas production region in China.Headspace samples were collected from two wells in this region,and hydrogen and propylene compounds were detected in these samples with a certain concentration.The stable hydrogen isotope ratio of H 2 is relatively light (-700‰--820‰).The stable carbon isotope ratio of propylene ranges from -27‰ to -40‰,which coincides with the rule of change of the stable carbon isotope of kerogen at the corresponding horizon.The characteristic analysis of sediments,structures,and Ar and He components in the region indicates that these microelement compounds are the product of degradation of organic substances by microorganisms,rather than from the mantle source,inorganic reaction or other sources.Detection of these components provides solid evidence for the strong ongoing methanogenesis in this region.YanHua Shuai ShuiChang Zhang AiGuo Su HuiTong Wang BaoYuan Cai Hui Wang 2010Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,1:5
5Treadmill step training promotes spinal cord neural plasticity after incomplete spinal cord injury显示文摘A large body of evidence shows that spinal circuits are significantly affected by training,and that intrinsic circuits that drive locomotor tasks are located in lumbosacral spinal segments in rats with complete spinal cord transection.However,after incomplete lesions,the effect of treadmill training has been debated,which is likely because of the difficulty of separating spontaneous stepping from specific training-induced effects.In this study,rats with moderate spinal cord contusion were subjected to either step training on a treadmill or used in the model(control) group.The treadmill training began at day 7 post-injury and lasted 20 ± 10 minutes per day,5 days per week for 10 weeks.The speed of the treadmill was set to 3 m/min and was increased on a daily basis according to the tolerance of each rat.After 3 weeks of step training,the step training group exhibited a significantly greater improvement in the Basso,Beattie and Bresnahan score than the model group.The expression of growth-associated protein-43 in the spinal cord lesion site and the number of tyrosine hydroxylase-positive ventral neurons in the second lumbar spinal segment were greater in the step training group than in the model group at 11 weeks post-injury,while the levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor protein in the spinal cord lesion site showed no difference between the two groups.These results suggest that treadmill training significantly improves functional recovery and neural plasticity after incomplete spinal cord injury.Tiansheng Sun Chaoqun Ye Jun Wu Zhicheng Zhang Yanhua Cai Feng Yue 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,27:5
6Optimization model research on efficacy in treatment of chronic urticaria by Chinese and Western Medicine based on a genetic algorithm显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the potential rules and knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Medicine (WM) treatment on chronic urticaria (CU) based on data-mining methods. METHODS: Sixty patients with chronic urticaria, treated with TCM and WM, were selected. Gray correlation analyses were adopted to determine therapeutic efficacy. Association algorithms were utilized to ascertain the correlation between the disease course and treatment results. A genetic algorithm was applied to discover the optimization model in theTCM andWM treatment on CU. RESULTS: The total symptom scores after 4 weeks and 8 weeks of treatment in the TCM spleen-strengthening group correlated highly with the pretreatment total symptom score. The duration of treatment showed the greatest impact on the total symptom score. A quartic equation was established (y=-1.6403×10-6x4+0.00025576x3+0.0012819 x2-1.024x+79.5879, and x=106.9518, y=83.0036) using the genetic algorithm. CONCLUSION: TCM treatment had a better effect in the later stage, whereas WM was better in the early stage. The duration of disease course had an impact on the effects of treatment. 7Portal vein arterialization promotes liver regeneration after extended partial hepatectomy in a rat model显示文摘In the current study,we sought to establish a novel rat model of portal vein arterialization(PVA) and evaluate its impact on liver regeneration after extended partial hepatectomy(PH).A total of 105 Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned to three groups:68%hepatectomy(the PH group),portal arterialization after 68%hepatectomy(the PVA group),and right nephrectomy only(the control group).Liver regeneration rate(LRR),5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine(BrdU) labeling index,and liver functions were assessed on postoperative day 2,7,14 and 28.The 28-day survival rates were compared among the three groups.The 28-day survival rates were similar in all groups(P =0.331),and the anastomotic patency was 100%.The LRR in the PVA group was significantly higher than that of the PH group within postoperative 14 days(P < 0.05).The PVA and PH group had increased serum alanine aminotransferase levels(232 ± 61 U/L and 212 ± 53 U/L,respectively) compared with the control group(101± 13 U/L) on postoperative day 2,whereas from postoperative day 7 to day 28 there were no differences among the three groups.Serum albumin values were higher after the PVA procedure within postoperative day 14,which gradually became comparable on postoperative day 28 among the three groups.The peaks of BrdU labeling index appeared on postoperative day 2 in all rats,and the PVA procedure was associated with increased BrdU labeling index from postoperative day 7 to 28.The 28-day survival of the PVA rats was comparable.Our findings demonstrate that the PVA procedure utilizing portal vein trunk-renal artery microvascular reconstruction promotes remnant liver regeneration and confers beneficial effects on maintaining and even optimizing liver function after extended partial hepatectomy in rats.Jian Li Chaonong Cai Hui Guo Xiaodong Guan Lukun Yang Yuechan Li Yanhua Zhu Peiping Li Xialei Liu Baimeng Zhang 2015The Journal of Biomedical Research2015,29,1:4

9Bacteroides ovatus-mediated CD27^(−)MAIT cell activation is associated with obesity-related T2D progression显示文摘Type 2 diabetes(T2D)is highly associated with obesity.However,the factors that drive the transition from excessive weight gain to glucose metabolism disruption are still uncertain and seem to revolve around systemic immune disorder.Mucosal-associated invariant T(MAIT)cells,which are innate-like T cells that recognize bacterial metabolites,have been reported to be altered in obese people and to lead to metabolic dysfunction during obesity.By studying the immunophenotypes of blood MAIT cells from a cross-sectional cohort of obese participants with/without T2D,we found an elevation in CD27^(-)negative(CD27−)MAIT cells producing a high level of IL-17 under T2D obese conditions,which could be positively correlated with impaired glucose metabolism in obese people.We further explored microbial translocation caused by gut barrier dysfunction in obese people as a triggering factor of MAIT cell abnormalities.Specifically,accumulation of the bacterial strain Bacteroides ovatus in the peripheral blood drove IL-17^(-)producing CD27−MAIT cell expansion and could be associated with T2D risk in obese individuals.Overall,these results suggest that an aberrant gut microbiota–immune axis in obese people may drive or exacerbate T2D.Importantly,CD27−MAIT cell subsets and Bacteroides ovatus could represent targets for novel interventional strategies.Our findings extend current knowledge regarding the clinical relevance of body mass index(BMI)-associated variation in circulating MAIT cells to reveal the role of these cells in obesity-related T2D progression and the underlying cellular mechanisms.Yue Li Yi Yang Jin Wang Peihong Cai Mei Li Xixiang Tang Ying Tan Yuchan Wang Fan Zhang Xiaofeng Wen Qiaoxing Liang Yuanpeng Nie Tufeng Chen Xiang Peng Xuemin He Yanhua Zhu Guojun Shi Wai WCheung Lai Wei Yanming Chen Yan Lu 2022Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,7:2

13The design of HEPS global timing system显示文摘Purpose The high energy photon source(HEPS)is a 4th generation synchrotron light source under construction by the institute of high energy physics.The accelerator complex consists of a 500-MeV Linac,a full-energy synchrotron booster,a 6-GeV synchrotron storage ring(SR),and three e-beam transport lines for injection and extraction among accelerators.A global timing system(GTS)covers the timing needs for all accelerator,beamline,and experiment systems.The GTS is designed to coordinate the injection processes and various measurements and protections.Most systems require that the RMS jitter of the GTS signal is less than 30 ps,while the trigger jitters for the electron gun and SR injection and extraction kickers are less than 10 ps.Method The HEPS GTS is an event-based timing system based on MicroTCA.4 hardware architecture.The MicroTCA.4300 series products from the micro-research Finland Oy are implemented in the HEPS GTS system.Results and conclusions The RMS jitter,integrated from 1 Hz to 10 MHz,of the 166.6 MHz event clock is 5.489 ps.The RMS jitter of TTL outputs is less than 30 ps.This paper reports the design of the HEPS GTS,which satisfies all of the HEPS physics requirements for timing with preliminary test results shown.Fang Liu Ge Lei Zhe Duan Cai Meng Chenyan Lu Yanhua Shao Xinpeng Ma Nan Gan Yuemei Peng Jianshe Cao Chungming Chu Yanfeng Sui Jingyi Li IHEP 2021Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2021,5,3:1
14Fibers reinforced composite hydrogels with improved lubrication and load-bearing capacity显示文摘Hydrogels as one kind of soft materials with a typical three-dimensional(3D)hydrophilic network have been getting great attention in the field of biolubrication.However,traditional hydrogels commonly show poor tribology performance under high-load conditions because of their poor mechanical strength and toughness.Herein,pure chemical-crosslinking hydrogels mixed with different types of the micron-scale fibers can meet the requirements of strength and toughness for biolubrication materials,meanwhile the corresponding tribology performance improves significantly.In a typical case,three kinds of reinforcement matrix including needle-punched fibers,alginate fibers,and cottons are separately combined with Poly(n-vinyl pyrrolidone)-poly 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate(PVP-PHEMA)hydrogels to prepare fibers reinforced composite hydrogels.The experimental results show that the mechanical properties of fibers reinforced composite hydrogels improve greatly comparable with pure PVP-PHEMA hydrogels.Among three kinds of fibers reinforced composite hydrogel,the as-prepared composite hydrogels reinforced with needle-punched fibers possess the best strength,modulus,and anti-tearing properties.Friction tests indicate that the fibers reinforced composite hydrogels demonstrate stable water-lubrication performance comparable with pure PVP-PHEMA hydrogels.Besides,the hydrogel-spunlace fiber samples show the best load-bearing and anti-wear capacities.The improved tribology performance of the composite hydrogels is highly related to mechanical property and the interaction between the fibers and hydrogel network.Finally,spunlace fibers reinforced hydrogel materials with high load-bearing and low friction properties are expected to be used as novel biomimetic lubrication materials.Jiawei LI Luyao GAO Rongnian XU Shuanhong MA Zhengfeng MA Yanhua LIU Yang WU Libang FENG Meirong CAI Feng ZHOU 2022Friction2022,10,1:1
15Constructions of ROS-responsive titanium-hydroxyapatite implant for mesenchymal stem cell recruitment in peri-implant space and bone formation in osteoporosis microenvironment显示文摘To solve the issue of unsatisfactory recruitment of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)around implant in osteoporotic fractures,we fabricated a ROS-responsive system on titanium surface through hydroxyapatite coating and biomolecule grafting.The porous hydroxyapatite and phosphorylated osteogenic growth peptides(p-OGP)were introduced onto titanium surface to synergistically improve osteogenic differentiation of MSCs.After the p-OGPpromoted expression of osteogenic related proteins,the calcium and phosphate ions were released through the degradation of hydroxyapatite and integrated into bone tissues to boost the mineralization of bone matrix.The ROS-triggered release of DNA aptamer(Apt)19S in the osteoporotic microenvironment guides MSC migration to implant site due to its high affinity with alkaline phosphatase on the membrane of MSCs.Once MSCs reached the implant interface,their osteogenic differentiation potential was enhanced by p-OGP and hydroxyapatite to promote bone regeneration.The study here provided a simple and novel strategy to prepare functional titanium implants for osteoporotic bone fracture repair.Maohua Chen Yuting Sun Yanhua Hou Zhong Luo Menghuan Li Yujia Wei Maowen Chen Lu Tan Kaiyong Cai Yan Hu 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,12:1
16Poly(I:C)preconditioning protects the heart against myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury through TLR3/PI3K/Akt-dependent pathway显示文摘Emerging evidence suggests that Toll-like receptors(TLRs)ligands pretreatment may play a vital role in the progress of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion(I/R)injury.As the ligand of TLR3,polyinosinic-polycytidylic acid(poly(I:C)),a synthetic double-stranded RNA,whether its preconditioning can exhibit a cardioprotective phenotype remains unknown.Here,we report the protective effect of poly(I:C)pretreatment in acute myocardial I/R injury by activating TLR3/PI3K/Akt signaling pathway.Poly(I:C)pretreatment leads to a significant reduction of infarct size,improvement of cardiac function,and downregulation of inflammatory cytokines and apoptotic molecules compared with controls.Subsequently,our data demonstrate that phosphorylation of TLR3 tyrosine residue and its interaction with PI3K is enhanced,and protein levels of phospho-PI3K and phospho-Akt are both increased after poly(I:C)pretreatment,while knock out of TLR3 suppresses the cardioprotection of poly(I:C)preconditioning through a decreased activation of PI3K/Akt signaling.Moreover,inhibition of p85 PI3K by the administration of LY294002 in vivo and knockdown of Akt by siRNA in vitro significantly abolish poly(I:C)preconditioning-induced cardioprotective effect.In conclusion,our results reveal that poly(I:C)preconditioning exhibits essential protection in myocardial I/R injury via its modulation of TLR3,and the downstream PI3K/Akt signaling,which may provide a potential pharmacologic target for perioperative cardioprotection.Erya Chen Chan Chen Zhendong Niu Lu Gan Qiao Wang Ming Li XingWei Cai Rui Gao Sruthi Katakam Hai Chen Shu Zhang Ronghua Zhou Xu Cheng Yanhua Qiu Hai Yu Tao Zhu Jin Liu 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:1
