3Rapid improvement of PM2.5 pollution and associated health benefits in China during 2013–2017显示文摘Exposure to fine particulate matter(PM2.5)is known to harm public health.In China,after implementation of aggressive emissions control measures under the Action Plan of Air Pollution Prevention and Control(2013-2017),air quality has significantly improved.In this work,we investigated changes in PM2.5 exposure and the associated health impacts in China for the period 2013-2017.We used an optimal estimator of PM2.5 combining in-situ observations,satellite measurements,and simulations from a chemical transport model to derive the spatial and temporal variations in PM2.5 exposure,and then used welldeveloped exposure-response functions to estimate the premature deaths attributable to PM2.5 exposure.We found that national population-weighed annual mean PM2.5 concentrations decreased from 67.4μgm-3 in 2013 to 45.5μgm-3 in 2017(32%reduction).This rapid decrease in PM2.5 pollution led to a 14%reduction in premature deaths due to long-term exposure.We estimated that,during 2013-2017,the premature deaths attributable to long-term PM2.5 exposure decreased from 1.2 million(95%CI:1.0,1.3;fraction of total mortality:13%)in 2013 to 1.0 million(95%CI:0.9,1.2;10%)in 2017.Despite the rapid decrease in annual mean PM2.5 concentrations,health benefits associated with reduced long-term exposure were limited,because for many cities,the PM2.5 levels remain at the portion where the exposure-response function is less steeper than that at the lowconcentration end.We also found that the deaths associated with acute exposure decreased by 61%during 2013-2017 due to rapid reduction in the number of heavily polluted days.Our results confirm that clean air policies in China have mitigated the air pollution crisis;however,continuous emissions reduction efforts are required to protect citizens from air pollution.Tao XUE Jun LIU Qiang ZHANG Guannan GENG Yixuan ZHENG Dan TONG Zhu LIU Dabo GUAN Yu BO Tong ZHU Kebin HE Jiming HAO 2019Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,12:17

5Impact of China’s Air Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan on PM2.5 chemical composition over eastern China显示文摘China promulgated the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan(the Action Plan)in 2013 and developed stringent control measures to mitigate fine particulate matter(PM2.5) pollution.Here,we investigated the PM2.5 chemical composition changes over eastern China associated with the Action Plan during 2013-2017 using satellite-based PM2.5 chemical composition data derived using CMAQ simulations and satellite inputs.The PM2.5 concentrations decreased considerably during this time as a result of the reductions in all chemical species in PM2.5.The population-weighted mean concentrations over eastern China decreased from 11.1 to 6.7μgm-3 for SO42-,13.8-13.1μgm-3 for NO3-,7.4-5.8μgm-3 for NH4+,9.9-8.4μgm-3 for OM,4.6-3.8μg m-3 for BC and 12.9-9.6μg m-3 for other species in PM2.5.SO42-had the largest reduction of 40%,while NO3-had the lowest reduction of 5%,resulting in a greater fraction of NO3-and a smaller fraction of SO42-in PM2.5.Among the three key regions,Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei had the largest reduction in PM2.5 and its chemical compositions.The decrease in SO42-concentrations was in line with the reduction of SO2 emissions,and the major driver of the SO2 emission reductions was the industrial sector.The decrease in NO3 concentrations was limited because the decrease in SO2 emissions and the stable NH3 emissions facilitated the formation of NO3-from HNO3,which partially offset the reduction in NOx emissions driven by the power sector.To mitigate PM2.5 pollution more effectively,future efforts are needed to reduce NH3 emissions.Guannan GENG Qingyang XIAO Yixuan ZHENG Dan TONG Yuxuan ZHANG Xiaoye ZHANG Qiang ZHANG Kebin HE Yang LIU 2019Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,12:16
6Hierarchical design of FeCo-based microchains for enhanced microwave absorption in C band显示文摘Microwave absorbing materials(MAMs)has been intensively investigated in order to meet the requirement of electromagnetic radiation control,especially in S and C band.In this work,FeCo-based magnetic MAMs are hydrothermally synthesized via a magnetic-field-induced process.The composition and morphology of the MAMs are capable of being adjusted simultaneously by the atomic ratio of Fe2+to Co2+in the precursor.The hierarchical magnetic microchain,which has a core–shell structure of twodimensional FexCo1−xOOH nanosheets anchored vertically on the surface of a one-dimensional(1D)Co microchain,shows significantly enhanced microwave absorption in C band,resulting in a reflection loss(RL)of lower than−20 dB at frequencies ranging from 4.4 to 8.0 GHz under a suitable matching thickness.The magnetic coupling of Co microcrystals and the double-loss mechanisms out of the core-shell structure are considered to promote the microwave attenuation capability.The hierarchical design of 1D magnetic MAMs provides a feasible strategy to solve the electromagnetic pollution in C band.Yixuan Han Mukun He Jinwen Hu Panbo Liu Zhongwu Liu Zhonglei Ma Wenbo Ju Junwei Gu 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:12

8Simulated-sunlight-activated photocatalysis of Methylene Blue using cerium-doped SiO_2/TiO_2 nanostructured fibers显示文摘Cerium-doped SiO 2 /TiO 2 nanostructured fibers were fabricated by electrospinning technology.The prepared fibers were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR).Using the fibers as catalysts,photocatalytic degradation of Methylene Blue(MB) aqueous solution was carried out under simulated sunlight.The 0.2% Ce doping proved to be the optimal concentration for the doping of TiO 2 /SiO 2,compared to other Ce-doped molar concentrations.The 0.2% Ce-doped SiO 2 /TiO 2 fibers exhibited higher photocatalytic activity than industrial Degussa P25 and the samples doped with only Ce or SiO 2.The reasons for improving the photocatalytic activity were also discussed.Several operational parameters were studied,which showed that the photocatalytic efficiency of MB was influenced by parameters such as the initial dye concentration,the initial pH,inorganic anions,and so on.In addition,the influences of an electron acceptor and a radical scavenger suggested that OH was the dominant photooxidant during the photocatalytic process.The reuse evaluation of the fibers indicated that their photocatalytic activity had good stability.Yu Liu Hongbing Yu Zhenning Lv Sihui Zhan Jiangyao Yang Xinhong Peng Yixuan Ren Xiaoyan Wu 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,10:10
9Hierarchical construction of CNT networks in aramid papers for high-efficiency microwave absorption显示文摘Carbon nanotubes(CNTs)incorporated polymeric composites have been extensively investigated for microwave absorption at target frequencies to meet the requirement of radar cross-section reduction.In this work,a strategy of efficient utilization of CNT in producing CNT incorporated aramid papers is demonstrated.The layer-by-layer self-assembly technique is used to coat the surfaces of meta-aramid fibers and fibrils with CNT,providing novel raw materials available for the large-scale papermaking.The hierarchical construction of CNT networks resolves the dilemma of increasing CNT content and avoiding the agglomeration of CNT,which is a frequent challenge for CNT incorporated polymeric composites.The composite paper,which contains abundant heterogeneous interfaces and long-range conductive networks,is capable of reaching a high permittivity and dielectric loss tangent at a low CNT loading,its complex permittivity is,so far,adjustable in the range of(1.20−j0.05)to(25.17−j18.89)at 10 GHz.Some papers with optimal matching thicknesses achieve a high-efficiency microwave absorption with a reflection loss lower than−10 dB in the entire X-band.You Wu Li Chen Yixuan Han Panbo Liu Haihong Xu Guanze Yu Yingying Wang Tao Wen Wenbo Ju Junwei Gu 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:9

11Excessive gestational weight gain in early pregnancy and insufficient gestational weight gain in middle pregnancy increased risk of gestational diabetes mellitus显示文摘Background:Gestational weight gain(GWG)is associated with the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM).However,the effect of weight gain in different trimesters on the risk of GDM is unclear.This study aimed to evaluate the effect of GWG on GDM during different trimesters.Methods:A birth cohort study was conducted from 2017 to 2020 in Shenzhen,China.In total,51,205 participants were included comprising two models(early pregnancy model and middle pregnancy model).Gestational weight(kg)was measured at each prenatal clinical visit using a standardized weight scale.Logistic regression analysis was used to assess the risk of GDM.Interaction analysis and mediation effect analysis were performed in the middle pregnancy model.Results:In the early pregnancy model,the risk of GDM was 0.858 times lower(95%confidence interval[CI]:0.786,0.937)with insufficient GWG(iGWG)and 1.201 times higher(95%CI:1.097,1.316)with excessive GWG after adjustment.In the middle pregnancy model,the risk of GDM associated with iGWG increased 1.595 times(95%CI:1.418,1.794)after adjustment;for excessive GWG,no significant difference was found(P=0.223).Interaction analysis showed no interaction between GWG in early pregnancy(GWG-E)and GWG in middle pregnancy(GWG-M)(F=1.268;P=0.280).The mediation effect analysis indicated that GWG-M plays a partial mediating role,with an effect proportion of 14.9%.Conclusions:eGWG-E and iGWG-M are associated with an increased risk of GDM.Strict control of weight gain in early pregnancy is needed,and sufficient nutrition should be provided in middle pregnancy.Aiqi Yin Fuying Tian Xiaoxia Wu Yixuan Chen Kan Liu Jianing Tong Xiaonian Guan Huafan Zhang Linlin Wu Jianmin Niu 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,9:5
12Identification and Characterization of a New IgE-binding Protein in Mackerel (Scomber japonicus) by MALDI-TOF-MS显示文摘As fish is one source of the ‘big eight’ food allergens,the prevalence of fish allergy has increased over the past few years.In order to better understand fish allergy,it is necessary to identify fish allergens.Based on the sera from fish-allergenic patients,a 28 kDa protein from local mackerel (Scomber japonicus),which has not been reported as a fish allergen,was found to be reactive with most of the patients’ sera.The 28 kDa protein was analyzed by MALDI-TOF-MS (Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry).Mascot search in NCBI database (Date: 08/07/2010) showed that the top protein matched,i.e.triosephosphate isomerase (TPI) from Xiphophorus maculatus and Poecilia reticulata,had a mowse (molecular weight search) score of 98.In addition,TPI from Epinephelus coioides also matched this mackerel protein with a mowse score of 96.Because TPI is con-sidered as an allergen in other non-fish organisms,such as lychee,wheat,latex,archaeopotamobius (Archaeopotamobius sibiriensis) and crangon (Crangon crangon),we consider that it may also be an allergen in mackerel.WANG Bangping LI Zhenxing ZHENG Lina LIU Yixuan LIN Hong 2011Journal of Ocean University of China2011,10,1:5

14Synergistic co-removal of zinc(Ⅱ) and cefazolin by a Fe/amine-modified chitosan composite显示文摘A novel Fe/amine modified chitosan composite(Fe/N-CS) was facilely synthesized and showed higher affinity to both Zn(Ⅱ) and cefazolin(CEF) than its precursors.Synergistic co-adsorption of them by Fe/NCS was observed in varied conditions.The adsorption amount maximally increased by 100.1% for Zn and68.2% for CEF in bi-solute systems.The initial adsorption rate of Zn(Ⅱ) also improved with CEF.The increasing temperature facilitated coadsorption.The results of the preloading tests,FTIR/XPS characterizations and DFT calculations suggested that(1) both polyamines and Fe sites participated in the adsorption of Zn(Ⅱ) and CEF,(2) Zn(Ⅱ) could serve as a new efficient site for CEF,forming [amineZn-CEF]/[FeOH-Zn-CEF] ternary complexes,and(3) the co-presence of CEF shielded the electrostatic repulsion between protonated amines and Zn(Ⅱ),contributing to the enhancement of Zn(Ⅱ) adsorption.Further,the ion strength exerted positive and negative influences on the adsorption of Zn(Ⅱ) and CEF,respectively.Additionally,CEF and Zn(Ⅱ) were successively recovered by 0.1 mol/L NaOH followed by2 mmol/L HCl.Fe/N-CS could be stably reused five times.The findings imply that Fe/N-CS is promising for the highly efficient co-removal of concurrent heavy metals and antibiotics.Chen Ling Yixuan Zhao Zixi Ren Jiangang Han Changqing Zhu Fu-Qiang Liu 2019Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,12:4
15Sensitivity Experiments on the Poleward Shift of Tropical Cyclones over the Western North Pacific under Warming Ocean Conditions显示文摘Recent studies found that in the context of global warming, the observed tropical cyclones(TCs) exhibit significant poleward migration trend in terms of the mean latitude where TCs reach their lifetime-maximum intensity in the western North Pacific(WNP). This poleward migration of TC tracks can be attributed to not only anthropogenic forcing(e.g., continuous increase of sea surface temperature(SST)), but also impacts of other factors(e.g., natural variability). In the present study, to eliminate the impacts of other factors and thus focus on the impact of unvaried SST on climatological WNP TC tracks, the mesoscale Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF) model is used to conduct a suite of idealized sensitivity experiments with increased SST. Comparisons among the results of these experiments show the possible changes in climatological TC track, TC track density, and types of TC track in the context of SST increase. The results demonstrate that under the warmer SST conditions, the climatological mean TC track systematically shifts poleward significantly in the WNP, which is consistent with the previous studies. Meanwhile, the ocean warming also leads to the decreased(increased) destructive potential of TCs in low(middle) latitudes, and thus northward migration of the region where TCs have the largest impact. 18Response of magnetic fields at geosynchronous orbit and on the ground to the sudden changes of IMF B_Z显示文摘The rapid change in the Earth’s magnetosphere caused by solar wind disturbances has been an important part of the solar wind-magnetosphere interaction.However most of the previous studies focused on the perturbation of the Earth’s magnetic field caused by solar wind dynamic pressure changes.In this paper,we studied the response of geosynchronous magnetic field and the magnetic field to the rapid southward turning of interplanetary magnetic field during the interval 1350 1420 UT on 7May 2007.During this event,BZ component of the interplanetary magnetic field decreased from 15 nT to 10 nT within 3 min(1403 1406 UT).The geosynchronous magnetic field measured by three geosynchronous satellites(GOES 10 12)first increased and then decreased.The variations of magnetic field strength in the morning sector(9 10 LT)were much larger than those in the dawn sector(5 LT).Meanwhile,the H components of geomagnetic field on the ground have similar response features but exhibit latitude and LT dependent variations.Compared with H components,the D components do not have regular variations.Although the solar wind dynamical pressure encounters small variations,the magnetic field both in space and on the ground does not display similar variations.Therefore,the increase of geomagnetic field in the dawn sector is caused by the southward turning of IMF(interplanetary magnetic field)BZ.These results will help to better understand the coupling process of geomagnetic filed and interplanetary magnetic field.DONG YiXuan CAO JinBin LIU WenLong ZHANG Lei LI LiuYuan 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,2:3

First,the sparse representation is used to compute particle weights by considering the fact that the weights are sparse when the object moves abruptly,so the potential object region can be predicted more precisely. Then,a nonlinear resampling process is proposed by utilizing the nonlinear sorting strategy,which can solve the problem of particle diversity impoverishment caused by traditional resampling methods.
