2LGR5 is a promising biomarker for patients with stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ gastric cancer显示文摘Objective: To investigate Leucine-rich repeat-containing G protein-coupled receptor 5 (LGR5) expressions in gastric cancer and to evaluate its clinical significance. Methods: LGR5 expression was assessed by immunohistochemistry in 257 gastric cancer patients after surgery. The relationships between LGR5 expression and clinicopathological features and patients prognosis were statistically analyzed. Results: The expression of LGR5 was significantly higher in gastric cancers as a cancer stem cell marker than in adjacent normal tissues (P<0.001), and more frequently in patients with intestinal type, well-moderate differentiation and stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ (P<0.05). Although we found gastric cancer patients with LGR5 positive expression had a poorer prognosis, it didn't meet statistical significance (P>0.05). LGR5 negative expression was significantly related to the favorable overall survival in stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ gastric cancer patients (P<0.05). Furthermore, patients with high LGR5 expression tended to be more likely to get progression and have poorer progress-free survival (P<0.05). Multivariate Cox regression analysis revealed that LGR5 expression was an independent factor of overall survival for the patients with stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ gastric cancer (P<0.05). 4Calycosin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside stimulates osteoblast differentiation through regulating the BMP/WNT signaling pathways显示文摘The iso fl avone calycosin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(CG) is a principal constituent of Astragalus membranaceus(AR) and has been reported to inhibit osteoclast development in vitro and bone loss in vivo. The aim of this study was to investigate the osteogenic effects of CG and its underlying mechanism in ST2 cells. The results show that exposure of cells to CG in osteogenic differentiation medium increases ALP activity, osteocalcin(Ocal) m RNA expression and the osteoblastic mineralization process. Mechanistically, CG treatment increased the expression of bone morphogenetic protein 2(BMP-2), p-Smad 1/5/8, β-catenin and Runx2, all of which are regulators of the BMP- or wingless-type MMTV integration site family(WNT)/β-catenin-signaling pathways. Moreover, the osteogenic effects of CG were inhibited by Noggin and DKK-1 which are classical inhibitors of the BMP and WNT/β-catenin-signaling pathways, respectively. Taken together, the results indicate that CG promotes the osteoblastic differentiation of ST2 cells through regulating the BMP/WNT signaling pathways. 5Significantly enhanced piezo-photocatalytic capability in BaTiO_(3) nanowires for degrading organic dye显示文摘Over the last several years,piezo-photocatalytic effect was intensively investigated for a facile,effective and promising protocol to sewage treatment and environmental remediation.The research on the integration of piezocatalytic and photocatalytic process on lead-free ferroelectric materials is highly demanded to further push this field forward.In this work,BaTiO_(3) nanowires(BT NWs)were fabricated by a two-step hydrothermal method.The degradation of organic dye(methyl orange,MO)aqueous solution(5 mg L^(-1))by integrating photocatalysis with the piezoelectric-like effect under UV light radiation and ultrasonic vibration was investigated.The decomposition ratio reaches up to ~98.17%(at 80 min),which is around 1.28 and 2.24 times of the sole piezocatalysis and photocatalysis process,respectively.The intermediate product of hydroxyl radical(·OH)and superoxide radical(·O_(2)^(-))was detected and quantified by radical trapping experiments,to illustrating their key role in degrading MO molecules.In addition,we carried out sequential cycles to evaluate the cycling stability and usage durability of catalysts and a reduction of ~15% in the efficiency was observed after four cycles.This work provides a promising paradigm for the further development of piezo-photocatalytic materials and target applications in environmental field.Xiaofang Liu Longyin Xiao Yong Zhang Huajun Sun 2020Journal of Materiomics2020,6,2:10
6Diagnostic value of 5 serum biomarkers for hepatocellular carcinoma with different epidemiological backgrounds:A large-scale,retrospective study显示文摘Objective:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a lethal global disease that requires an accurate diagnosis.We assessed the potential of 5 serum biomarkers(AFP,AFU,GGT-II,GPC3,and HGF)in the diagnosis of HCC.Methods:In this retrospective study,we measured the serum levels of each biomarker using ELISAs in 921 participants,including 298 patients with HCC,154 patients with chronic hepatitis(CH),122 patients with liver cirrhosis(LC),and 347 healthy controls from 3 hospitals.Patients negative for hepatitis B surface antigen and hepatitis C antibody(called'NBNC-HCC')and patients positive for the above indices(called'HBV-HCC and HCV-HCC')were enrolled.The selected diagnostic model was constructed using a training cohort(n=468),and a validation cohort(n=453)was used to validate our results.Receiver operating characteristic analysis was used to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy.Results:Theα-L-fucosidase(AFU)/α-fetoprotein(AFP)combination was best able to distinguish NBNC-HCC[area under the curve:0.986(95%confidence interval:0.958–0.997),sensitivity:92.6%,specificity:98.9%]from healthy controls in the test cohort.For screening populations at risk of developing HCC(CH and LC),the AFP/AFU combination improved the diagnostic specificity for early-stage HCC[area under the curve:0.776(0.712–0.831),sensitivity:52.5%,specificity:91.6%in the test group].In all-stage HBV-HCC and HCV-HCC,AFU was also the best candidate biomarker combined with AFP[area under the curve:0.835(0.784–0.877),sensitivity 69.1%,specificity:87.4%in the test group].All results were verified in the validation group.Conclusions:The AFP/AFU combination could be used to identify NBNC-HCC from healthy controls and hepatitis-related HCC from at-risk patients.Dongming Liu Yi Luo Lu Chen Liwei Chen Duo Zuo Yueguo Li Xiaofang Zhang Jing Wu Qing Xi Guangtao Li Lisha Qi Xiaofen Yue Xiehua Zhang Zhuoyu Sun Ning Zhang Tianqiang Song Wei Lu Hua Guo 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1:10
7A fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling and its applications显示文摘We propose a fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling(FTEEM) in order to apply it into the fields of ecology and environmental science more easily after the fundamental theorem for Earth’s surface system modeling(FTESM). The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region is taken as a case area to conduct empirical studies of algorithms for spatial upscaling, spatial downscaling, spatial interpolation, data fusion and model-data assimilation, which are based on high accuracy surface modelling(HASM), corresponding with corollaries of FTEEM. The case studies demonstrate how eco-environmental surface modelling is substantially improved when both extrinsic and intrinsic information are used along with an appropriate method of HASM. Compared with classic algorithms, the HASM-based algorithm for spatial upscaling reduced the root-meansquare error of the BTH elevation surface by 9 m. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial downscaling reduced the relative error of future scenarios of annual mean temperature by 16%. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial interpolation reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean precipitation by 0.2%. The HASM-based algorithm for data fusion reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean temperature by 70%. The HASM-based algorithm for model-data assimilation reduced the relative error of carbon stocks by 40%. 10Environmentally Tough and Stretchable MXene Organohydrogel with Exceptionally Enhanced Electromagnetic Interference Shielding Performances显示文摘Conductive hydrogels have potential applications in shielding electromagnetic(EM)radiation interference in deformable and wearable electronic devices,but usually suffer from poor environmental stability and stretching-induced shielding performance degradation.Although organohydrogels can improve the environmental stability of materials,their development is at the expense of reducing electrical conductivity and thus weakening EM interference shielding ability.Here,a MXene organohydrogel is prepared which is composed of MXene network for electron conduction,binary solvent channels for ion conduction,and abundant solvent-polymer-MXene interfaces for EM wave scattering.This organohydrogel possesses excellent anti-drying ability,low-temperature tolerance,stretchability,shape adaptability,adhesion and rapid self-healing ability.Two effective strategies have been proposed to solve the problems of current organohydrogel shielding materials.By reasonably controlling the MXene content and the glycerol-water ratio in the gel,MXene organohydrogel can exhibit exceptionally enhanced EM interference shielding performances compared to MXene hydrogel due to the increased physical cross-linking density of the gel.Moreover,MXene organohydrogel shows attractive stretching-enhanced interference effectiveness,caused by the connection and parallel arrangement of MXene nanosheets.This well-designed MXene organohydrogel has potential applications in shielding EM interference in deformable and wearable electronic devices.Yuanhang Yu Peng Yi Wenbin Xu Xin Sun Gao Deng Xiaofang Liu Jianglan Shui Ronghai Yu 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,5:6
11Genome wide abnormal DNA methylome of human blastocyst in assisted reproductive technology显示文摘Proper reprogramming of parental DNA methylomes is essential for mammalian embryonic development.However,it is unknown whether abnormal methylome reprogramming occurs and is associated with the failure of embryonic development.Here we analyzed the DNA methylomes of 57 blastocysts and 29 trophectoderm samples with different morphological grades during assisted reproductive technology(ART) practices.Our data reveal that the global methylation levels of high-quality blastocysts are similar(0.30 ± 0.02,mean ± SD).while the methylation levels of low-quality blastocysts are divergent and away from those of high-quality blastocysts.The proportion of blastocysts with a methylation level falling within the range of 0.30 ± 0.02 in different grades correlates with the live birth rate for that grade.Moreover,abnormal methylated regions are associated with the failure of embryonic development.Furthermore,we can use the methylation data of cells biopsied from trophectoderm to predict the blastocyst methylation level as well as to detect the aneuploidy of the blastocysts.Our data indicate that global abnormal methylome reprogramming often occurs in human embryos,and suggest that DNA methylome is a potential biomarker in blastocyst selection in ART.Guoqiang Li Yang Yu Yong Fan Congru Li Xiaocui Xu Jialei Duan Rong Li Xiangjin Kang Xin Ma Xuepeng Chen Yuwen Ke Jie Yan Ying Lian Ping Liu Yue Zhao Hongcui Zhao Yaoyong Chen Xiaofang Sun Jianqiao Liu Jie Qiao Jiang Liu 2017Journal of Genetics and Genomics2017,44,10:5

14Braided river and distribution patterns of sand bodies of Jurassic Badaowan formation in Block T13 of Junggar basin显示文摘In order to determine the planar and volume distribution of sand bodies of the Jurassic Badaowan formation in Block T13 of Junggar basin,we used analysis of field outcrop and 3D seismic data,which play an essential role in areas of sparse well coverage.We describe sedimentary facies characteristics,sand body planforms,width and connectivity patterns of sand bodies,and vertical associations and successions by acoustic impedance inversion technology and sedimentological theory.Results of our study show braided fluvial strata deposits in the Jurassic Badaowan formation.Each sand body is approximately lenticular in shape.The width of each sand body falls in the range 100~800 m,with most between 200 and 400 m.The sand bodies vary in thickness from 4 to 13 m,with most below 9 m.The width/thickness ratios lie in the range 20~55.The connectivity of braided fluvial channel sand bodies is controlled by changes of accommodation space.One fining-upward sedimentary cycle of base-level rise is recognized in Badaowan formation,representing an upward rise of base level.The connectivity of sand bodies was found to be greatest in the early stage of base-level rise,becoming progressively worse with increasing base-level rise.SUN Xiaofang JIN Zhenkui WANG Zhaofeng HUANG Xiaoping GU Junfeng 2010Mining Science and Technology2010,20,3:4
15Forest fire smoke recognition based on convolutional neural network显示文摘Traditional fire smoke detection methods mostly rely on manual algorithm extraction and sensor detection;however,these methods are slow and expensive to achieve discrimination.We proposed an improved convolutional neural network(CNN)to achieve fast analysis.The improved CNN can be used to liberate manpower.The network does not require complicated manual feature extraction to identify forest fire smoke.First,to alleviate the computational pressure and speed up the discrimination efficiency,kernel principal component analysis was performed on the experimental data set.To improve the robustness of the CNN and to avoid overfitting,optimization strategies were applied in multi-convolution kernels and batch normalization to improve loss functions.The experimental analysis shows that the CNN proposed in this study can learn the feature information automatically for smoke images in the early stages of fire automatically with a high recognition rate.As a result,the improved CNN enriches the theory of smoke discrimination in the early stages of a forest fire.Xiaofang Sun Liping Sun Yinglai Huang 2021Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,5:3
16Improved bias proportional navigation with multiple constraints for guide ammunition显示文摘According to the infrared guidance ammunition(GA)attacking non-maneuvering targets on the ground or sea level,an improved bias proportional navigation(IBPN) is put forward,which can meet the constraints of the impact angle and the angle of attack(AOA). The motion equations and the collision triangle for the GA and the target are established in the two-dimensional plane. In accordance with the collision triangle, the integral value of the bias term is solved and BPN is designed on the basis of the relative velocity. To ensure the new method can be solved, closedloop equation of the IBPN is deduced. Considering the limitation of the AOA and the seeker angle, a four-phase IBPN is improved by setting different phases of the bias term. At the same time, the guidance law will make the impact angle achieve the desired angle and the normal acceleration also converges to zero. 17Derivation and characterization of human embryonic stem cell lines from poor quality embryos显示文摘Poor quality embryos discarded from in vitro fertilization (IVF) laboratories are good sources for deriving human embryonic stem cell (hESC) lines. In this study, 166 poor quality embryos donated from IVF centers on day 3 were cultured in a blastocyst medium for 2 days, and 32 early blastocysts were further cultured in a blastocyst optimum culture medium for additional 2 days so that the inner cell masses (ICMs) could be identified and isolated easily. The ICMs of 17 blastocysts were isolated by a mechanical method, while those of the other 15 blastocysts were isolated by immunosurgery. All isolated ICMs were inoculated onto a feeder layer for subcultivation. The rates of ICM at- tachment, primary ICM colony formation and the efficiency of hESC derivation were similar between the ICMs isolated by the two methods (P>0.05). As a result, four new hESC lines were established. Three cell lines had normal karyotypes and one had an unbalanced Robertsonian translocation. All cell lines showed normal hESC characteristics and had the differentiation ability. In conclusion, we established a stable and effective method for hESC isolation and culture, and it was confirmed that the mechanical isolation was an effective method to isolate ICMs from poor embryos. 19Effect of phosphate on heterogeneous Fenton oxidation of catechol by nano-Fe_(3)O_(4):Inhibitor or stabilizer?显示文摘The effect of phosphate on adsorption and oxidation of catechol, 1,2-dihydroxybenzene,in a heterogeneous Fenton system was investigated. In situ attenuated total reflectance infrared spectroscopy(ATR-FTIR) was used to monitor the surface speciation at the nano-Fe_3O_4 catalyst surface. The presence of phosphate decreased the removal rate of catechol and the abatement of dissolved organic compounds, as well as the decomposition of H_2O_2. This effect of phosphate was mainly due to its strong reaction with surface sites on the iron oxide catalyst. At neutral and acid pH, phosphate could displace the adsorbed catechol from the surface of catalyst and also could compete for surface sites with H_2O_2. In situ IR spectra indicated the formation of iron phosphate precipitation at the catalyst surface. The iron phosphate surface species may affect the amount of iron atoms taking part in the catalytic decomposition of H_2O_2 and formation of hydroxyl radicals,and inhibit the catalytic ability of Fe_3O_4 catalyst. Therefore, phosphate ions worked as stabilizer and inhibitor in a heterogeneous Fenton reaction at the same time, in effect leading to an increase in oxidation efficiency in this study.
