1Northern Tibetan Plateau cooling and aridification linked to Cenozoic global cooling:Evidence from n-alkane distributions of Paleogene sedimentary sequences in the Xining Basin显示文摘The Xining Basin on the northeastern Tibetan Plateau holds the longest continuous Cenozoic stratigraphic record in China.The sequence record contains considerable information on the history of Tibetan uplift and associated climatic change.In particular,high resolution n-alkane biomarker proxy and pollen records have been obtained from the Paleogene sediments of the Xiejia section of the basin.A combination of the n-alkane and palynological records reveals that the paleoclimate in the Xining Basin experienced a long-term cooling trend from 50.2 to 28.2 Ma with a distinctive ecological event spanning 37.5 to 32.7 Ma.Since this ecological event,a vertical zonation of vegetation from lowland arid grasses,to middle-elevation subtropical broad-leaf plants,to high-elevation coniferous trees was established.We interpret that these changes in climate and vegetation were probably responses to a combination of long term global cooling since the Eocene climatic optimum and uplift of the surrounding mountains on the northern Tibetan Plateau in the early Cenozoic.LONG LiQun FANG XiaoMin MIAO YunFa BAI Yan WANG YongLi 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,15:15
2Distribution of lipids in modern soils from various regions with continuous climate (moisture-heat) change in China and their climate significance显示文摘Total 26 modern soil samples were collected from various regions under different climate conditions from tropical to arid temperate in China and systematically analyzed for their organic matters by GC/MS in order to evaluate climatic impacts on soil organic components. Abundant lipids molecules were recognized, including n-alkanes, n-alkenones, and long-chain branched alkanes. We find the pre- dominance of main peaks of long-chain n-alkanes (nC29, nC31, nC33) and short-chain ones (nC16, nC17, nC18) records information of soil generation in warm-humid and cold-dry regions. The proportion of n-alkanes (nC16+nC17+nC18) to (nC29+nC31+nC33) varies in good agreement with moisture-heat conditions and thus probably can serve as a new index for climate change. The ratios of C21-/nC22+, nC17/nC31 and (nC15+nC17+nC19) / ( nC27+nC29 +nC31) of n-alkanes, indicating respectively input ratios of lower bacterial alga, aquatic organisms, and higher plants and terraneous organisms, co-vary well in different climate regions from forest to grassland and desert, suggesting that they have also reflected the difference of climates between monsoon region and inland one. The C21-/C22+ ratio of n-alkan-2-one records largely the discrepancy of temperature from north to south of China bordered by the Qinling Mountains, but less humidity. The C21-/C22+ ratio of n-alkan-3-ones changes well with climatic factors, such as tem- perature and humidity. The biogenic source of series A-D long-chain branched alkanes may be derived from some kinds of special epiphyte that most likely live in weak oxic-anoxic and moisture-heat envi- ronments, suggesting their distribution record as well some information on climatic change. 3Application of altimetry data assimilation on mesoscale eddies simulation显示文摘Mesoscale eddy plays an important role in the ocean circulation. In order to improve the simulation accuracy of the mesoscale eddies, a three-dimensional variation (3DVAR) data assimilation system called Ocean Variational Analysis System (OVALS) is coupled with a POM model to simulate the mesoscale eddies in the Northwest Pacific Ocean. In this system, the sea surface height anomaly (SSHA) data by satellite altimeters are assimilated and translated into pseudo temperature and salinity (T-S) profile data. Then, these profile data are taken as observation data to be assimilated again and produce the three-dimensional analysis T-S field. According to the characteristics of mesoscale eddy, the most appropriate assimilation parameters are set up and testified in this system. A ten years mesoscale eddies simulation and comparison experiment is made, which includes two schemes: assimilation and non-assimilation. 5Application of Avaatech X-ray fluorescence core-scanning in Sr/Ca analysis of speleothems显示文摘Application of X-ray fluorescence core-scanning(XRF-CS) on both marine and lake sediments has achieved remarkable results. However, its application has not been widely extended to the research on speleothems. In this study, we measure the Sr abundance and the Sr/Ca ratios of three stalagmites(two aragonite stalagmites, one calcite stalagmite) using the state-of-the-art fourth-generation Avaatech high-resolution XRF core scanner. Through comparisons among different scan paths and among different scan resolutions, as well as comparisons with inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer(ICP-OES), Itrax XRF, and Artax XRF results, we confirm that the Avaatech XRF core scanner could precisely, quickly, and nondestructively analyze the high-resolution Sr abundance of speleothems. 6Abiogenic hydrocarbons in commercial gases from the Songliao Basin,China显示文摘This paper discusses the kinetic fractionation, composition and distribution characteristics of carbon and hydrogen isotopes for various alkane gases formed in different environments, by different mecha- nisms and from different sources in nature. It is demonstrated that the biodegradation or thermode- gradation of complex high-molecule sedimentary organic material can form microbial gas or thermogenic gas. The δ 13C1 value ranges from -110‰ to -50‰ for microbial gases but from -50‰ to -35‰ (even heavier) for thermogenic gases. Controlled by the kinetic isotope fractionation, both microbial and thermogenic gases have δ 13C and δ D values characterized by normal distribution, i.e. δ 13C1< δ 13C2< δ 13C3< δ 13C4 and δ DCH4< δ DC2H6< δ DC3H8<δ DC4H10, and by a positive correlation between the δ 13C and δ D values. Simple carbonbearing molecules (CH4, CO and CO2) can form abiogenic alkane gases via polymerization in the abiological chemical process in nature, with δ 13C1 heavier than -30‰. Moreover, controlled by the kinetic isotope fractionation, abiogenic alkane gases are characterized by a reverse distribution of δ 13C values and a normal trend of δ D values, namely δ 13C1> δ 13C2> δ 13C3> δ 13C4 and δ DCH4<δ DC2H6< δ DC3H8< δ DC4H10. The δ 13C values and δ D values are negatively correlated. Natural gases from 26 commercial gas wells distributed in the Xujiaweizi and Yingshan-Miaotaizi faulted depressions in the Songliao Basin, China, show δ13C1 values ranging from -30.5‰ to -16.7‰ with a very narrow δ D range between -203‰―-196‰. These gases are characterized by a reverse distribution of δ 13C values but a normal distribution of δ D values, and a negative correlation between their δ 13C and δ D values, indicating an abiological origin. The present study has revealed that abiogenic hydrocarbons not only exist in nature but also can make significant contribution to commercial gas reserviors. It is estimated that the reserve volume of alkane gases with abiogenic characteristics in these 26 gas wells in the Songliao Basin is over 500×108 m3. 7Branched alkanes with quaternary carbon atoms in Chinese soils: Potential environmental implications显示文摘Lipids extracted from 26 modern soils collected from different climate zones in China and Mongolia are analyzed using gas chromatography- mass spectrometry. These extracts contain pseudo- homologous families of 5,5-diethylalkanes (5,5- DEAs), 6,6-diethylalkanes, 5-butyl-5-ethylalkanes and 6-butyl-6-ethylalkanes, which are first detected in modern soils. All these pseudohomologous series display exclusively odd or exclusively even carbon numbers, clearly indicating a biosynthetic origin, and their carbon number distributions generally covary. The distributions of 5,5-DEAs exhibit strong regional variations, correlated with the spatial distributions of climate and vegetation. The lower molecular weight 5,5-DEAs, maximizing at C21 or C23, dominate in southeast and southwest China samples, while the higher molecular weight 5,5-DEAs with a mode at C29 dominate in cold, arid northwest China and Mongolia. 8Temporal-spatial distribution and ore-forming material source of gold,copper and silver polymetallic ore deposits in the Fuping mantle structure zone显示文摘This study was conducted following research on metallogenesis in the Zhangjiajie-Xuanhua and East Hebei mantle branch structure zones. The Fuping mantle branch structure zone is one where Au, Cu and Ag poly-metallic ore resources are concentrated in North Hebei. However, there has existed a long-standing controversy on the temporal-spatial distribution of ore resources and their ore-forming material sources. In terms of age dating and the comprehensive analysis of S, Pb, O, C and Si isotopes, it is considered that the temporal-spatial distribution of ore resources in this mantle branch structure zone is obviously controlled by the Fuping mantle branch structure. In space there is developed such a metallogenic pattern as to be Ag, Pb and Zn polymetallic ore deposits with gold appearing inside and copper appearing outside. 9Hybrid Three-Dimensional Spiral WSe2 Plasmonic Structures for Highly Efficient Second-Order Nonlinear Parametric Processes显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)layered materials,with large second-order nonlinear susceptibility,are currently growing as an ideal candidate for fulflling tunable nanoscale coherent light through the second-order nonlinear optical parametric processes.However,the atomic thickness of 2D layered materials leads to poor feld confnement and weak light-matter interaction at nanoscale,resulting in low nonlinear conversion efciency.Here,hybrid three-dimensional(3D)spiral WSe2 plasmonic structures are fabricated for highly efcient second harmonic generation(SHG)and sum-frequency generation(SFG)based on the enhanced light-matter interaction in hybrid plasmonic structures.Te 3D spiral WSe2,with AA lattice stacking,exhibits efcient SH radiation due to the constructive interference of nonlinear polarization between the neighboring atomic layers.Tus,extremely high external SHG conversion efciency(about 2.437×10−5)is achieved.Moreover,the ease of phase-matching condition combined with the enhanced light-matter interaction in hybrid plasmonic structure brings about efcient SHG and SFG simultaneously.Tese results would provide enlightenment for the construction of typical structures for efcient nonlinear processes.Xianqing Lin Yingying Liu Kang Wang Xiaolong Liu Yongli Yan Yong Jun Li Jiannian Yao Yong Sheng Zhao 2018Research2018,,1:4
10Biogenic C-doped titania templated by cyanobacteria for visible-light photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B显示文摘Cyanobacteria, which occurred in eutrophic water harvest solar light to carry out photosynthesis with high efficiency. In this work, cyanobacteria(Microcystis sp.) were used as biotemplate to synthesize titania structure. The synthesized titania sample had similar morphology to that of the original template in spite of the fragile unicellular structures and extremely high water content of cyanobacterial cells. Incorporation of biogenic C, as well as the morphology inherited from biotemplate improved visiblelight absorbance of the titania structure. The sample exhibited higher visible-light photocatalytic activity than commercial titania photocatalyst Degussa P25 for Rhodamine B(RhB) degradation. Compared with those C-doped titania photocatalysts prepared by other methods, cyanobacteria templated titania photocatalyst offer some potential for competitive advantages. The reported strategy opened up a new use for the cyanobacteria. 11Survey of spinal cord injury-induced neurogenic bladder studies using the Web of Science显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To identify global trends in research on spinal cord injury-induced neurogenic bladder, through a bibliometric analysis using the Web of Science. DATA RETRIEVAL:We performed a bibliometric analysis of studies on spinal cord injury-induced neurogenic bladder using the Web of Science.Data retrieval was performed using key words'spinal cord injury','spinal injury','neurogenic bladder','neuropathic bladder','neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction','neurogenic voiding dysfunction','neurogenic urination disorder'and 'neurogenic vesicourethral dysfunction'. SELECTION CRITERIA:Inclusion criteria:(a)published peer-reviewed articles on spinal cord injury-induced neurogenic bladder indexed in the Web of Science;(b)type of articles:original research articles and reviews;(c)year of publication:no limitation.Exclusion criteria:(a)articles that required manual searching or telephone access;(b)Corrected papers and book chapters. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:(1)Annual publication output;(2)distribution according to journals; (3)distribution according to subject areas;(4)distribution according to country;(5)distribution according to institution;and(6)top cited publications. RESULTS:There were 646 research articles addressing spinal cord injury-induced neurogenic bladder in the Web of Science.Research on spinal cord injury-induced neurogenic bladder was found in the Science Citation Index-Expanded as of 1946.The United States,Ireland and Switzerland were the three major countries contributing to studies in spinal cord injury-induced neurogenic bladder in the 1970s.However,in the 1990s,the United States,the United Kingdom,the Netherlands,Germany and Japan published more papers on spinal cord injury-induced neurogenic bladder than Switzerland,and Ireland fell off the top ten countries list.In this century,the United States ranks first in spinal cord injury-induced neurogenic bladder studies,followed by France,the United Kingdom,Germany,Switzerland and Japan.Subject categories including urology, nephrology and clinical neurology,as well as rehabilitation,are represented in spinal cord injury-induced neurogenic bladder studies. 12Magnetic coupling engineered porous dielectric carbon within ultralow filler loading toward tunable and high-performance microwave absorption显示文摘Developing microwave absorption(MA)materials with satisfied comprehensive performance is a great challenge for tackling severe electromagnetic pollution.In particular,the magnetic component/carbon hybrids absorbers always suffer from high filler loading.Herein,we propose a feasible strategy to construct hierarchical porous carbon with tightly embedded Ni nanoparticles(Ni@NPC).These highly dispersed Ni nanoparticles produce strong magnetic coupling networks to enhance magnetic loss abilities.Moreover,the interconnected hierarchical dielectric carbon network affords favorable dipolar/interfacial polarization,conduction loss,multiple reflection and scattering.Impressively,with an ultralow filler loading of 5 wt.%,the resultant Ni@NPC/paraffin composite achieves an excellent MA performance with a minimum reflection loss of as high as-72.4 dB and a broad absorption bandwidth of 5.0 GHz.This capability outperforms most current magnetic-dielectric hybrids counterparts.Furthermore,the MA capacity can be easily tuned with adjustments in thickness,content and type of magnetic material.Thus,this work opens up new avenues for the development of high-performance and lightweight MA materials.Wang Yang Bo Jiang Zhihui Liu Rui Li Liqiang Hou Zhengxuan Li Yongli Duan Xingru Yan Fan Yang Yongfeng Li 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,11:3
13Identification and characterization of the cellular subclones that contribute to the pathogenesis of mantle cell lymphoma显示文摘Mantle cell lymphoma(MCL)is a B-cell malignancy with poor clinical outcome and undefined pathogenesis.Development of clinically relevant cellular models for MCL research is an urgent need.Our preliminary observations lead the development of two novel hypotheses that we tested in this study:1.multicellular spheroid might be a unique growth mode of earlystage cells in MCL;2.MCL might be a polyclonal tumor.We made the following original observations that have not been reported:First,we have provided a new experiment method for enriching MCL early-stage cells and characterized the spheroid mode of growth as a unique feature of early-stage MCL cells in cell line as well as in clinical samples.Second,we have established a clinically relevant cellular model of MCL,the JeKo-1-spheroid cell line,that was highly enriched in early-stage sub-clones.JeKo-1-spheroid cells and the spheroid growing cells enriched from MCL patients exhibited comparably enhanced tumorigenic abilities and similar biological features.Third,Immunophenotypic analysis has revealed that MCL may be derived from precursor-B(pre-B),immature-B and mature-B cells,not only the mature-B cells as WHO classified in 2016.Fourth,MCL may be a polyclonal disease composed of CD19e/IgMe,CD19 e/IgMt,CD19t/IgMt three sub-clones,of which the CD19e/IgMt sub-clone might be the dominant sub-clone with the strongest tumorigenic ability.Fifth,CD19t/IgMe that differentiates MCL and normal B cells may represent a new marker for MCL early detection,minor residual disease monitoring after therapies and prognosis.Junling Tang Li Zhang Tiejun Zhou Zhiwei Sun Liangsheng Kong Li Jing Hongyun Xing Hongyan Wu Yongli Liu Shixia Zhou Jingyuan Li Mei Chen Fang Xu Jirui Tang Tao Ma Min Hu Dan Liu Jing Guo Xiaofeng Zhu Yan Chen Ting Ye Jianyu Wang Xiaoming Li H.Rosie Xing 2019Genes & Diseases2019,6,4:2

18Smart responsive organic microlasers with multiple emission states for high-security optical encryption显示文摘Modern high-security cryptography and optical communication call for covert bit sequences with high coding capacity and efficient authentication.Stimuli-responsive lasing emissions with easily distinguishable readout are promising in the coding field as a novel cryptographic primitive,while the application is frequently restricted by the limited number of emission states.Here,we report a strategy of achieving multiple competitive lasing signals in responsive organic microspheres where a donor–acceptor pair was introduced.The competitive lasing from the donor and acceptor was reversibly switched by modulating the competition between the radiative rate of the donor and the rate of energy transfer,and the generated multiple lasing signals enabled a quaternary coding for recognizable cryptographic implementation.Data encryption and extraction were demonstrated using a 4×4 microlaser array,showing vast prospects in avoiding the disclosure of security information.The results offer a comprehensive understanding of excited-state dynamics in organic composite materials,which may play a major role in high-security optical recording and information encryption.Zhenhua Gao Kang Wang Yongli Yan Jiannian Yao Yong Sheng Zhao 2021National Science Review2021,8,2:1
