| 1 | Crack nucleation and propagation simulation in brittle two-phase perforated/particulate composites by a phase field model显示文摘Fracture is a very common failure mode of the composite materials,which seriously affects the reliability and service-life of composite materials.Therefore,the study of the fracture behavior of the composite materials is of great significance and necessity,which demands an accurate and efficient numerical tool in general cases because of the complexity of the arising boundary-value or initial-boundary value problems.In this paper,a phase field model is adopted and applied for the numerical simulation of the crack nucleation and propagation in brittle linear elastic two-phase perforated/particulate composites under a quasi-static tensile loading.The phase field model can well describe the initiation,propagation and coalescence of the cracks without assuming the existence and the geometry of the initial cracks in advance.Its numerical implementation is realized within the framework of the finite element method(FEM).The accuracy and the efficiency of the present phase field model are verified by the available reference results in literature.In the numerical examples,we first study and discuss the influences of the hole/particle size on the crack propagation trajectory and the force-displacement curve.Then,the effects of the hole/particle shape on the crack initiation and propagation are investigated.Furthermore,numerical examples are presented and discussed to show the influences of the hole/particle location on the crack initiation and propagation characteristics.It will be demonstrated that the present phase field model is an efficient tool for the numerical simulation of the crack initiation and propagation problems in brittle two-phase composite materials,and the corresponding results may play an important role in predicting and preventing possible hazardous crack initiation and propagation in engineering applications. | Xingxue Lu Yuliang Hou Ying Tie Cheng Li Chuanzeng Zhang | 2020 | Acta Mechanica Sinica2020,36,2: | 5 |
| 2 | Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Gliomas Exhibit Cell Biological and Molecular Signatures of Fetal Hindbrain-Derived Neural Progenitor Cells显示文摘Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma(DIPG) is the main cause of brain tumor-related death among children.Until now, there is still a lack of effective therapy with prolonged overall survival for this disease. A typical strategy for preclinical cancer research is to find out the molecular differences between tumor tissue and para-tumor normal tissue, in order to identify potential therapeutic targets. Unfortunately, it is impossible to obtain normal tissue for DIPG because of the vital functions of the pons.Here we report the human fetal hindbrain-derived neural progenitor cells(pontine progenitor cells, PPCs) as normal control cells for DIPG. The PPCs not only harbored similar cell biological and molecular signatures as DIPG glioma stem cells, but also had the potential to be immortalized by the DIPG-specific mutation H3 K27 M in vitro. | 3 | An Improved Markov Chain Model Based on Autocorrelation and Entropy Techniques and Its Application to State Prediction of Water Resources显示文摘According to the relationships among state transition probability matrixes with different step lengths, an improved Markov chain model based on autocorrelation and entropy techniques was introduced. In the improved Markov chain model, the state transition probability matrixes can be adjusted. The steps of the historical state of the event, which was significantly related to the future state of the event, were determined by the autocorrelation technique, and the impact weights of the event historical state on the event future state were determined by the entropy technique. The presented model was applied to predicting annual precipitation and annual runoff states, showing that the improved model is of higher precision than those existing Markov chain models, and the determination of the state transition probability matrixes and the weights is more reasonable. | 4 | Anti-fatigue activity of Brassica rapa L.extract and correlation among biochemical changes in forced swimming mice显示文摘Brassica rapa L.is an edible and medical plant in China used for treating various diseases,especially in the Tibet region.In this study,the chemical constituents of Brassica rapa L.extract(BE)was clarified by UHPLC-MS and anti-fatigue ability of BE was assessed through the behavior test and weight-loaded forced swimming test in mice.Then we determined several biochemical parameters related to fatigue to explore possible reasons.Results indicate that BE could significantly enhance exercise performance in mice,and there was a significant improvement in both grip-strength and the time on rota-rods.Meanwhile,BE showed significant anti-fatigue effects by decreasing the blood lactic acid(BLA),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),and creatine kinase(CK)levels and increasing the lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)and malondialdehyde(MDA)levels.Increases in superoxide dismutase(SOD)and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)were observed and reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels was regulated.Liver and muscle glycogen levels and adenosine triphosphate(ATP)levels were also significantly increased.Pearson correlation analysis indicates that fatigue-related indexes including metabolites and energy-related indexes were significantly correlated with antioxidant levels.In conclusion,BE possesses remarkable anti-fatigue activity,thereby shows great potential for improving exercise performance and alleviating physical fatigue and can be considered as a functional food supplement for further development. | Zilin Li Hongkang Zhu Hanyi Hua Chang Liu Yuliang Cheng Yahui Guo Peng Du He Qian | 2022 | Food Bioscience2022,47,3: | 2 |

| 6 | Crack propagation simulation in brittle elastic materials by a phase field method显示文摘To overcome the difficulties of re-meshing and tracking the crack-tip in other computational methods for crack propagation simulations,the phase field method based on the minimum energy principle is introduced by defining a continuous phase field variable(x)∈[0,1]to characterize discontinuous cracks in brittle materials.This method can well describe the crack initiation and propagation without assuming the shape,size and orientation of the initial crack in advance.In this paper,a phase field method based on Miehe's approach[Miehe et al.,Comp.Meth.App.Mech.Eng.(2010)]is applied to simulate different crack propagation problems in twodimensional(2D),isotropic and linear elastic materials.The numerical implementation of the phase field method is realized within the framework of the finite element method(FEM).The validity,accuracy and efficiency of the present method are verified by comparing the numerical results with other reference results in literature.Several numerical examples are presented to show the effects of the loading type(tension and shear),boundary conditions,and initial crack location and orientation on the crack propagation path and force-displacement curve.Furthermore,for a single edge-cracked bi-material specimen,the influences of the loading type and the crack location on the crack propagation trajectory and force-displacement curve are also investigated and discussed.It is demonstrated that the phase field method is an efficient tool for the numerical simulation of the crack propagation problems in brittle elastic materials,and the corresponding results may have an important relevance for predicting and preventing possible crack propagations in engineering applications. | Xingxue Lu Cheng Li Ying Tie Yuliang Hou Chuanzeng Zhang | 2019 | Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2019,9,6: | 2 |

| 10 | Trans-cinnamaldehyde inhibits Penicillium italicum by damaging mitochondria and inducing apoptosis mechanisms显示文摘Plant-derived essential oils have excellent antifungal effects and can be used for the preservation of fresh foods such as fruits and vegetables, but the detailed mechanism has not been fully elucidated. In this study, we investigated the inhibitory effects of trans-cinnamaldehyde on Penicillium italicum, a common pollution fungus in citrus, and explored the antifungal mechanism of trans-cinnamaldehyde by detecting fungal oxidative damage, mitochondrial metabolism, and cell apoptosis. These results showed that transcinnamaldehyde made the carboxylic acid cycle deregulated by altering the related enzyme activities(succinate dehydrogenase, malate dehydrogenase) and mid product. Moreover, the level of reactive oxygen species rose sharply while the redox level was out of regulation. The mitochondrial membrane potential collapsed, leading to the leakage of cytochrome c, and then triggering the activation of apoptotic protease, which was further confirmed by the significant increase in caspase-3 activity from(3.6 ± 0.6) U to(8.8 ± 1.1) U(P < 0.05). The cytochrome c in mitochondria was detected by confocal Raman microspectroscopy, the characteristic intensity index(I750/I2944) was decreased, indicating that the cytochrome c in mitochondria was reduced and leakage. Besides, the strong negative correlation between Raman intensity and the amount of cytochrome c leakage was established with the correlation coefficient of-0.981 7. In the streams that dry up and disconnect from groundwater, the streambed infiltration is intensive and has a significant effect on flood wave movement. Streambed infiltration should be considered in flood routing. A flood routing model incorporating intensive streambed infiltration is proposed. In the model a streambed infiltration simulation method based on soil infiltration theory is developed. In this method the Horton equation is used to calculate infiltration capacity. A trial-and-error method is developed to calculate infiltration rate and determine whether the flood wave can travel downstream. A formula is derived to calculate infiltration flow per unit length. The Muskingum-Cunge method with streambed infiltration flow as lateral outflow is used for flood routing. The proposed model is applied to the stream from the downstream of the Yuecheng Reservoir to the Caixiaozhuang Hydrometric Station in the Zhangwei River of the Haihe River Basin. Simulation results show that the accuracy of the model is high, and the infiltration simulation method can represent infiltration processes well. | 17 | TSLocator: A Transformer-Based Approach to Bug Localization显示文摘For projects with thousands of files, finding the locations of bugs is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Bug reports as a potential resource to help locate bugs in source codes have been used to design automatic tools to solve this problem. Existing information retrieval(IR)-based bug localization methods rely heavily on the similarity score between bug report and historical reports. As deep learning methods show great advantages in calculating text semantic similarity, we adapt the transformer network with IR-based bug localization methods to design a novel approach, TSLocator, to bug localization. In TSLocator, we propose five new features between bug reports and source codes. We use SVMRank to model the relation between all the six features and the actual buggy file. Given a new bug report, TSLocator automatically calculates the features and linearly weights the features to produce a suspicious score for all candidate files. TSLocator recommends a list of suspicious buggy files ranked by the score.
