| 1 | Numerical Simulation of Typhoon Muifa(2011) Using a Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere-Wave-Sediment Transport(COAWST) Modeling System显示文摘The newly developed Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere-Wave-Sediment Transport(COAWST) Modeling System is applied to investigate typhoon-ocean interactions in this study. The COAWST modeling system represents the state-of-the-art numerical simulation technique comprising several coupled models to study coastal and environmental processes. The modeling system is applied to simulate Typhoon Muifa(2011), which strengthened from a tropical storm to a super typhoon in the Northwestern Pacific, to explore the heat fluxes exchanged among the processes simulated using the atmosphere model WRF, ocean model ROMS and wave model SWAN. These three models adopted the same horizontal grid. Three numerical experiments with different coupling configurations are performed in order to investigate the impact of typhoon-ocean interaction on the intensity and ocean response to typhoon. The simulated typhoon tracks and intensities agree with observations. Comparisons of the simulated variables with available atmospheric and oceanic observations show the good performance of using the coupled modeling system for simulating the ocean and atmosphere processes during a typhoon event. The fully coupled simulation that includes a ocean model identifies a decreased SST as a result of the typhoon-forced entrainment. Typhoon intensity and wind speed are reduced due to the decrease of the sea surface temperature when using a coupled ocean model. The experiments with ocean coupled to atmosphere also results in decreased sea surface heat flux and air temperature. The heat flux decreases by about 29% compared to the WRF only case. The reduction of the energy induced by SST decreases, resulting in weakening of the typhoon. | 2 | Effect of thermal exposure on the stress-rupture life and microstructure of a low Re-containing single crystal alloy显示文摘In this paper, the stress-rupture tests of a low Re-containing single crystal alloy IC21 before and after thermal exposure at 1100 ℃for various periods of time were conducted under the test condition of 1100 ℃/137 MPa, and the microstructure of the tested specimens was characterized by SEM and TEM. The experimental results showed that the stress rupture life of this alloy was over 150 h after the standard heat treatment of1320 ℃, 10 h/AC t 870, 32 h/AC, however the stress rupture life decreased with the increase of exposure time due to the microstructure degradation. The TEM analysis revealed that the interface mismatch dislocation networks were well established. | 3 | A novel miRNA negatively regulates resistance to Glomerella leaf spot by suppressing expression of an NBS gene in apple显示文摘Glomerella leaf spot(GLS)of apple(Malus×domestica Borkh.),caused by Glomerella cingulata,is an emerging fungal epidemic threatening the apple industry.Little is known about the molecular mechanism underlying resistance to this devastating fungus.In this study,high-throughput sequencing technology was used to identify microRNAs(miRNAs)involved in GLS resistance in apple.We focused on miRNAs that target genes related to disease and found that expression of a novel miRNA,Md-miRln20,was higher in susceptible apple varieties than in resistant ones.Furthermore,its target gene Md-TN1-GLS exhibited the opposite expression pattern,which suggested that the expression levels of Md-miRln20 and its target gene are closely related to apple resistance to GLS.Furthermore,downregulation of MdmiRln20 in susceptible apple leaves resulted in upregulation of Md-TN1-GLS and reduced the disease incidence.Conversely,overexpression of Md-miRln20 in resistant apple leaves suppressed Md-TN1-GLS expression,with increased disease incidence.We demonstrated that Md-miRln20 negatively regulates resistance to GLS by suppressing Md-TN1-GLS expression and showed,for the first time,a crucial role for miRNA in response to GLS in apple. | Yi Zhang Qiulei Zhang Li Hao Shengnan Wang Shengyuan Wang Wenna Zhang Chaoran Xu Yunfei Yu Tianzhong Li | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 4 |
| 4 | A retrospective analysis of the safety and efficacy of apatinib in treating advanced metastatic colorectal cancer显示文摘Objective Colorectal cancer(CRC) is a heterogeneous disease in which both epigenetic alterations and gene mutations transform normal cells into cancer cells. Apart from a variety of standard treatments, there are few options available to improve a CRC patient's overall survival(OS) and quality of a life. The objective of the present retrospective study was to analyze the response and toxicity associated with apatinib in patients with metastatic CRC(m CRC).Method Data on the use of apatinib as salvage therapy were collected from patients diagnosed with m CRC, Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG) performance status ≤ 3, from the Luhe Hospital. A total of 17 patients with stage IV unresectable m CRC, who received at least one cycle of apatinib, between October 2015 and February 2017, were involved in this study. Our primary endpoints were the overall response rate(ORR) and disease control rate(DCR), and the secondary objectives were progression-free survival(PFS), OS and safety.Result Seventeen patients with a median age of 62 years(34–83 years) were enrolled. Twelve patients were male, and the location of the primary tumor was in the colon and the rectum in 9 and 8 patients, respectively. Liver metastasis was observed in 9 patients and lung metastasis in 5. The ECOG performance status was 0 to 2 in 13 patients. The ORR at the first evaluation was 17.6 %(3/17). The DCR was 82.4%(14/17). The median PFS was 3.0 months(95% confidence interval(CI): 1.924–4.076 months) and the median OS was 5.4 months(95% CI: 3.383–7.417 months). Grade 1–2 adverse events included hypertension(52.9%), fatigue(64.7%), anorexia(29.4%), hoarseness(23.5%), proteinuria(23.5%), and development of rashes(17.6%). Grade 3 adverse events included thrombocytopenia(5.9%) and proteinuria(5.9%). There were no Grade 4 adverse events in our analysis.Conclusions Apatinib was found to be both safe and effective in the treatment of advanced m CRC, and its associated toxicities were acceptable and manageable. | 12 | Global trends and regional differences in non-transport unintentional injuries mortality among children and adolescents, 1990 to 2019: results from the Global Burden of Disease 2019 study显示文摘Background::Non-transport unintentional injuries(NTUIs)are major public concerns,especially among children and adolescents in low-and middle-income countries.With environmental and cognitive changes,a recent systematic description of global trends and regional differences concerning NTUIs is urgently needed for the global agenda of relevant policy-making and intervention target findings.Methods::We used mortality,population,and socio-demographic-index(SDI)data from Global Burden of Disease 2019 to analyze the trends of NTUIs mortality.We applied the slope index of inequality(SII)and relative index of inequality(RII)to measure the absolute and relative inequality between countries and territories.The concentration curve and concentration index(CI)were also used to measure the inequality.We conducted a sensitivity analysis to make our findings credible.Results::In 2019,there were 205,000 deaths due to NTUIs among children and adolescents aged 5 to 24 years,which decreased from 375,000 in 1990.In 2019,the age-standardized mortality rate(ASMR)was 8.13 per 100,000,ranging from the lowest in the Netherlands(0.90 per 100,000)to the highest in the Solomon Islands(29.34 per 100,000).The low-middle SDI group had the highest ASMR of NTUIs,while the low SDI group had the slowest decrease.After excluding the death caused by'exposure to forces of nature'and'other unintentional injuries',drowning accounted for the most deaths in almost every SDI group,gender,and age group,but the major causes of death varied in different subgroups.For example,animal contact was a major cause in low and low-middle SDI groups but less in high SDI groups,while high and high-middle SDI groups had a higher proportion of deaths for foreign body and poisonings.The SII showed a declining trend,but the RII and CI did not,which might indicate that inequality was persistent.Similar results were found in the sensitivity analysis.Conclusions::Despite the declining trend of the mortality rate and the narrowing gap between countries,there were still a large number of children and adolescents dying from NTUIs,and those experiencing social-economic disadvantages remained at high mortality.Embedding the prevention of NTUIs into sustainable development goals might contribute to the progress of reducing death and inequalities,which ensures that no one is left behind. | Yunfei Liu Yanhui Dong Xiaojin Yan Ning Ma Jiajia Dang Jingshu Zhang Panliang Zhong Luo Li Zhiyong Zou Yi Song Jun Ma | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,135,17: | 1 |

| 14 | Anticarin-β shows a promising antiosteosarcoma effect by specifically inhibiting CCT4 to impair proteostasis显示文摘Unlike healthy, non-transformed cells, the proteostasis network of cancer cells is taxed to produce proteins involved in tumor development. Cancer cells have a higher dependency on molecular chaperones to maintain proteostasis. The chaperonin T-complex protein ring complex(TRiC) contains eight paralogous subunits(CCT1-8), and assists the folding of as many as 10% of cytosolic proteome.TRiC is essential for the progression of some cancers, but the roles of TRiC subunits in osteosarcoma remain to be explored. Here, we show that CCT4/TRiC is significantly correlated in human osteosarcoma,and plays a critical role in osteosarcoma cell survival. We identify a compound anticarin-β that can specifically bind to and inhibit CCT4. Anticarin-β shows higher selectivity in cancer cells than in normal cells. Mechanistically, anticarin-β potently impedes CCT4-mediated STAT3 maturation. | 17 | Deep Convective Clouds over the Northern Pacific and Their Relationship with Oceanic Cyclones显示文摘Based on combined Cloud Sat/CALIPSO detections, the seasonal occurrence of deep convective clouds(DCCs) over the midlatitude North Pacific(NP) and cyclonic activity in winter were compared. In winter, DCCs are more frequent over the central NP, from approximately 30°N to 45°N, than over other regions. The high frequencies are roughly equal to those occurring in this region in summer. Most of these DCCs have cloud tops above a 12 km altitude, and the highest top is approximately 15 km. These wintertime marine DCCs commonly occur during surface circulation conditions of low pressure, high temperature, strong meridional wind, and high relative humidity. Further, the maximum probability of DCCs,according to the high correlation coefficient, was found in the region 10°–20° east and 5°–10° south of the center of the cyclones. The potential relationship between DCCs and cyclones regarding their relative locations and circulation conditions was also identified by a case study. Deep clouds were generated in the warm conveyor belt by strong updrafts from baroclinic flows. The updrafts intensified when latent heat was released during the adjustment of the cyclone circulation current. | 18 | Design of Novel and Low Cost Triple-node Upset Self-recoverable Latch显示文摘With the development of semiconductor technology,the size of transistors continues to shrink.In complex radiation environments in aerospace and other fields,small-sized circuits are more prone to soft error(SE).Currently,single-node upset(SNU),double-node upset(DNU)and triple-node upset(TNU)caused by SE are relatively common.TNU’s solution is not yet fully mature.A novel and low-cost TNU self-recoverable latch(named NLCTNURL)was designed which is resistant to harsh radiation effects.When analyzing circuit resiliency,a double-exponential current source is used to simulate the flipping behavior of a node’s stored value when an error occurs.Simulation results show that the latch has full TNU self-recovery.A comparative analysis was conducted on seven latches related to TNU.Besides,a comprehensive index combining delay,power,area and self-recovery—DPAN index was proposed,and all eight types of latches from the perspectives of delay,power,area,and DPAN index were analyzed and compared.The simulation results show that compared with the latches LCTNURL and TNURL which can also achieve TNU self-recoverable,NLCTNURL is reduced by 68.23%and 57.46%respectively from the perspective of delay.From the perspective of power,NLCTNURL is reduced by 72.84%and 74.19%,respectively.From the area perspective,NLCTNURL is reduced by about 28.57%and 53.13%,respectively.From the DPAN index perspective,NLCTNURL is reduced by about 93.12%and 97.31%.The simulation results show that the delay and power stability of the circuit are very high no matter in different temperatures or operating voltages. | BAI Na MING Tianbo XU Yaohua WANG Yi LI Yunfei LI Li | 2023 | 原子能科学技术2023,57,12: | 0 |

| 20 | Effectiveness and safety of different amifostine regimens:Preliminary results of a phase Ⅱ multicenter randomized controlled trial显示文摘Objective:The radioprotective effects of amifostine remain uncertain in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC),and adverse effects and cost limit generalization of its classical everyday regimen.This phase II multicenter randomized controlled trial aimed to explore whether amifostine could ameliorate the toxicities of NPC patients in the era of intensity-modulated radiotherapy(IMRT),and to compare different regimens of amifostine on effectiveness and safety.Methods:Patients with stage I–IVB NPC were involved prospectively from January 1st,2013.All patients received radical treatment based on IMRT.After a randomization stratified by their stage,these patients were allocated into 3 groups:the group treated without amifostine,the group treated with the everyday regimen of amifostine,and the group treated with the every-other-day regimen.The 3 groups of patients were compared on radiotherapy-related acute toxicities,treatment effects of NPC,and amifostine-related complications.This trial was registered on the clinicaltrials.gov(ID:NCT01762514).Results:Until August 31st,2017,totally 187 patients completed experimental intervention.Only amifostine of everyday regimen appeared to reduce the patient proportion of mucositis(79.1%vs.96.8%,P=0.002).Hypocalcemia was less common in patients treated without amifostine than in those treated with amifostine(22.6%vs.53.4%vs.41.8%,P=0.002).Neither complete remission rates nor the survivals were affected by amifostine.Conclusions:Amifostine of everyday regimen could reduce mucositis in NPC patients who received IMRT,though it also had the possibility to cause more hypocalcemia. | Hui Chang Wei Yi Xiaohui Wang Yalan Tao Xin Yang Chen Chen Wenwen Zhang Shu Zhou Songran Liu Xiaohui Li Shirong Ding Jing Li Gong Li Xunfan Shao Yimin Liu Weishu Song Yunfei Xia | 2018 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,3: | 0 |
