A Pilot Study of the Therapeutic Efficacy and Mechanism of Artesunate in the MRL/lpr Murine Model of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus显示文摘Recent evidence indicates that artesunate has immunomodulatory properties that might be useful for treating autoimmune disease. In this study,we conducted a pilot study and explored the effect and mechanism of artesunate on the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus using an MRL/lpr murine model.MRL/lpr mice were divided into control, cyclophosphamide(CTX)and artesunate treatment groups.Blood was collected to measure serum levels of creatinine, antinuclear antibody(ANA)and anti-double-stranded DNA(anti-dsDNA)antibody.Twenty-four-hour urine was collected to measure levels of proteinuria. The concentration of monocyte chemotactic protein-1(MCP-1)in serum and urine was measured. The expression of MCP-1 in kidney was detected by Western blot and immunohistochemistry assay, respectively. The expression of B cell activating factor(BAFF)in spleen was determined by real time-PCR and immunoblotting. We found that artesunate significantly increased the survival rate, body weight and blood leukocyte counts, and reduced the serum levels of ANA and anti-dsDNA antibody titer,24 h urinary protein, and serum creatinine. Our results indicated that artesunate could decrease MCP-1,major pro-inflammation cytokine,in serum, urine and kidney. We also found that the level of BAFF,the major B cell activation factor, was decreased in artesunate treated MRL/lpr mice. Its efficacy was comparable with that of CTX in this study.Taken together,we have demonstrated that artesunate can inhibit the progression of disease and reverse the pathologic lesion of lupus nephritis. | Ouyang Jin Huayong Zhang Zhifeng Gu Shengnan Zhao Ting Xu Kangxing Zhou Bo Jiang Jie Wang Xiaofeng Zeng Lingyun Sun | 2009 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2009,6,6: | 20
Efficient emission of InGaN-based light-emitting diodes:toward orange and red显示文摘Indium gallium nitride(InGaN)-based light-emitting diodes(LEDs)are considered a promising candidate for red-green-blue(RGB)micro displays.Currently, the blue and green LEDs are efficient, while the red ones are inefficient for such applications. This paper reports our work of creating efficient InGaN-based orange and red LEDs on silicon(111)substrates at low current density.Based on the structure of InGaN yellow LEDs,by simply reducing the growth temperature of all the yellow quantum wells(QWs),we obtained 599 nm orange LEDs with peak wall-plug efficiency(WPE)of 18.1%at 2 A/cm^2.An optimized QW structure was proposed that changed two of the nine yellow QWs to orange ones.Compared with the sample containing nine orange QWs,the sample with two orange QWs and seven yellow QWs showed similar emission spectra but a much higher peak WPE up to 24.0%at 0.8 A/cm^2 with a wavelength of 608 nm.The improvement of peak WPE can be attributed to the improved QW quality and the reduced active recombination volume.Subsequently,a series of efficient InGaN-based orange and red LEDs was demonstrated. With further development, the InGaN-based red LEDs are believed to be attainable and can be used in micro LED displays. | Shengnan Zhang Jianli Zhang Jiangdong Gao Xiaolan Wang Changda Zheng Meng Zhang Xiaoming Wu Longquan Xu Jie Ding Zhijue Quan Fengyi Jiang | 2020 | Photonics Research2020,8,11: | 10
Abundance of antibiotic resistance genes and their association with bacterial communities in activated sludge of wastewater treatment plants: Geographical distribution and network analysis显示文摘Wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs) are deemed reservoirs of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs). Bacterial phylogeny can shape the resistome in activated sludge. However, the co-occurrence and interaction of ARGs abundance and bacterial communities in different WWTPs located at continental scales are still not comprehensively understood. Here, we applied quantitative PCR and Miseq sequence approaches to unveil the changing profiles of ARGs(sul1, sul2, tet W, tet Q, tet X), int I1 gene, and bacterial communities in 18 geographically distributed WWTPs. The results showed that the average relative abundance of sul1 and sul2 genes were 2.08 × 10^(-1) and 1.32 × 10^(-1) copies/16 S rRNA copies, respectively. The abundance of tet W gene was positively correlated with the Shannon diversity index(H′), while both studied sul genes had significant positive relationship with the int I1 gene. The highest average relative abundances of sul1, sul2, tet X, and int I1 genes were found in south region and oxidation ditch system. Network analysis found that 16 bacterial genera co-occurred with tet W gene. Co-occurrence patterns were revealed distinct community interactions between aerobic/anoxic/aerobic and oxidation ditch systems. The redundancy analysis model plot of the bacterial community composition clearly demonstrated that the sludge samples were significant differences among those from the different geographical areas, and the shifts in bacterial community composition were correlated with ARGs. Together, these findings from the present study will highlight the potential risks of ARGs and bacterial populations carrying these ARGs, and enable the development of suitable technique to control the dissemination of ARGs from WWTPs into aquatic environments. | Haihan Zhang Huiyan He Shengnan Chen Tinglin Huang Kuanyu Lu Zhonghui Zhang Rong Wang Xueyao Zhang Hailong Li | 2019 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,8: | 9
A fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling and its applications显示文摘We propose a fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling(FTEEM) in order to apply it into the fields of ecology and environmental science more easily after the fundamental theorem for Earth’s surface system modeling(FTESM). The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region is taken as a case area to conduct empirical studies of algorithms for spatial upscaling, spatial downscaling, spatial interpolation, data fusion and model-data assimilation, which are based on high accuracy surface modelling(HASM), corresponding with corollaries of FTEEM. The case studies demonstrate how eco-environmental surface modelling is substantially improved when both extrinsic and intrinsic information are used along with an appropriate method of HASM. Compared with classic algorithms, the HASM-based algorithm for spatial upscaling reduced the root-meansquare error of the BTH elevation surface by 9 m. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial downscaling reduced the relative error of future scenarios of annual mean temperature by 16%. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial interpolation reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean precipitation by 0.2%. The HASM-based algorithm for data fusion reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean temperature by 70%. The HASM-based algorithm for model-data assimilation reduced the relative error of carbon stocks by 40%. We propose five theoretical challenges and three application problems of HASM that need to be addressed to improve FTEEM. | Tianxiang YUE Na ZHAO Yu LIU Yifu WANG Bin ZHANG Zhengping DU Zemeng FAN Wenjiao SHI Chuanfa CHEN Mingwei ZHAO Dunjiang SONG Shihai WANG Yinjun SONG Changqing YAN Qiquan LI Xiaofang SUN Lili ZHANG Yongzhong TIAN Wei WANG Ying’an WANG Shengnan MA Hongsheng HUANG Yimin LU Qing WANG Chenliang WANG Yuzhu WANG Ming LU Wei ZHOU Yi LIU Xiaozhe YIN Zong WANG Zhengyi BAO Miaomiao ZHAO Yapeng ZHAO Yimeng JIAO Ufra NASEER Bin FAN Saibo LI Yang YANG John PWILSON | 2020 | Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,8: | 7
Glycyrrhetinic acid binds to the conserved P-loop region and interferes with the interaction of RAS-effector proteins显示文摘Members of the RAS proto-oncogene superfamily are indispensable molecular switches that play critical roles in cell proliferation, differentiation, and cell survival. Recent studies have attempted to prevent the interaction of RAS/GTP with RAS guanine nucleotide exchange factors(GEFs), impair RASeffector interactions, and suppress RAS localization to prevent oncogenic signalling. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of the natural triterpenoic acid inhibitor glycyrrhetinic acid, which is isolated from the roots of Glycyrrhiza plant species, on RAS stability. We found that glycyrrhetinic acid may bind to the P-loop of RAS and alter its stability. Based on our biochemical tests and structural analysis results, glycyrrhetinic acid induced a conformational change in RAS. Meanwhile, glycyrrhetinic acid abolishes the function of RAS by interfering with the effector protein RAF kinase activation and RAS/MAPK signalling. | Yuan Zhang Zhihua Wang Xiaoyao Ma Shengnan Yang Xueyan Hu Jin Tao Yuanyuan Houn Gang Bai | 2019 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2019,9,2: | 7
Immunity-and-matrix-regulatory cells derived from human embryonic stem cells safely and effectively treat mouse lung injury and fibrosis显示文摘Lung injury and fibrosis represent the most significant outcomes of severe and acute lung disorders, including COVID-19.However,there are still no effective drugs to treat lung injury and fibrosis. In this study,we report the generation of clinical-grade human embryonic stem cells(hESCs)-derived immunity-and matrix-regulatory cells(IMRCs)produced under good manufacturing practice requirements, that can treat lung injury and fibrosis in vivo.We generate IMRCs by sequentially differentiating hESCs with serum-free reagents.IMRCs possess a unique gene expression profile distinct from that of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells(UCMSCs),such as higher expression levels of proliferative, immunomodulatory and anti-fibrotic genes. Moreover, intravenous delivery of IMRCs inhibits both pulmonary inflammation and fibrosis in mouse models of lung injury, and significantly improves the survival rate of the recipient mice in a dose-dependent manner, likely through paracrine regulatory mechanisms.IMRCs are superior to both primary UCMSCs and the FDA-approved drug pirfenidone, with an excellent efficacy and safety profile in mice and monkeys. In light of public health crises involving pneumonia, acute lung injury and acute respiratory distress syndrome, our findings suggest that IMRCs are ready for clinical trials on lung disorders. | Jun Wu Dingyun Song Zhongwen Li Baojie Guo Yani Xiao Wenjing Liu Lingmin Liang Chunjing Feng Tingting Gao Yanxia Chen Ying Li Zai Wang Jianyan Wen Shengnan Yang Peipei Liu Lei Wang Yukai Wang Liang Peng Glyn Nigel Stacey Zheng Hu Guihai Feng Wei Li Yan Huo Ronghua Jin Ng Shyh-Chang Qi Zhou Liu Wang Baoyang Hu Huaping Dai Jie Hao | 2020 | Cell Research2020,30,9: | 7
Effect of chrysanthemum extract on myocardial fibrosis in rats with renovascular hypertension显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the inhibitory effect of chrysanthemum extract on myocardial fibrosis in rats with renovascular hypertension, and explore the possible mechanism underlying this effect.METHODS: Sixty Wistar rats were randomly divided into six groups: sham operation, model, positive control, and low-, medium-, and high-dose Huai chrysanthemum extract groups(ten rats per group). With the exception of the sham operation group, a renal hypertensive model was established in rats using the 'two-kidney, one clip' method. After 6 weeks, low-, medium-, and high-dose groups were intragastrically administered chrysanthemum extract at 1, 2, or 4 g/kg, respectively, once daily for 4 weeks. The positive control group was administered Kato Pury at 50 mg/kg once daily for 4 weeks, while sham operation and model groups received an equal volume of distilled water once daily for 4 weeks. Blood pressure changes were examined before modeling, 6 weeks after modeling, and after 4 weeks of treatment administration. Ventricular remodeling indexes were measured by high frequency echocardiography after 4 weeks of treatment administration. Pathological changes were observed by hematoxylin and eosin, and Masson’s trichrome staining methods. Collagen type sion were eⅠxa(Col minedⅠ) and type Ⅲ(Col Ⅲ) expres by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. Transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1), sma mad 3(Smad3),Smad7, Ras homolog gene family, member A(RhoA), and Rho-associated protein kinase 1(ROCK1) protein expression were detected by Western blot.RESULTS: Compared with the model group, chrysanthemum-administered groups and the positive control group showed significant improvement of arterial blood pressure, echocardiography indicators, and degree of myocardial fibrosis(P < 0.05). In addition, these groups exhibited decreased expression of Col Ⅰ, Col Smad3, and increaseⅢ, RhoA, ROCK1, TGF-β1, and d Smad7 expression. Such improvements were most obvious in the high-dose chrysanthemum extract group(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION: Chrysanthemum extract could effectively reduce myocardial fibrosis in rats with renovascular hypertension by a mechanism that potentially involves inhibition of RhoA/ROCK1 and TGF-β1/Smad signaling pathways. | Pei Lixin Shu Shengnan Wang Xuanying Ji Baoyu | 2019 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019,39,4: | 6
Realization of population inversion between 7S_(1/2) and 6P_(3/2) levels of cesium for four-level active optical clock显示文摘We demonstrate experimentally the population inversion between 7S1/2 and 6P3/2 levels of cesium in thermal cesium cell with a 455.5 nm pumping laser. We calculate the relative population probabilities at each level theoretically with the density matrix method. In a steady state,5.8% atoms are at 7S1/2 level and 2.9% at 6P3/2 level, which builds up the population inversion between the two levels. We obtain the fluorescence spectra produced in thermal cesium cell in our experiment. The measured relative intensity of each available fluorescence spectral line in the experiment agrees very well with the theoretical result. The demonstrated population inversion between 7S1/2 and 6P3/2 levels can be used to construct an active optical clock of four-level system with a wavelength of 1469.9 nm. | WANG YanFei WANG DongYing ZHANG TongGang HONG YeLong ZHANG ShengNan TAO ZhiMing XIE XiaoPeng CHEN JingBiao | 2013 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,6: | 6
A high-fiber diet synergizes with Prevotella copri and exacerbates rheumatoid arthritis显示文摘Both preclinical and established rheumatoid arthritis(RA)patients display alterations in the gut microbiome.Prevotella spp.are preferentially enriched in a subset of RA patients. Here,we isolated a Prevotella strain,P.copri RA,from the feces of RA patients and showed that colonization of P.copri RA exacerbated arthritis in a collagen-induced arthritis(CIA)model. With the presence of P.copri RA colonization,a high-fiber diet exacerbated arthritis via microbial alterations and intestinal inflammation.Colonization of P.copri together with a high-fiber diet enabled the digestion of complex fiber, which led to the overproduction of organic acids, including fumarate, succinate and short-chain fatty acids.Succinate promoted proinflammatory responses in macrophages, and supplementation with succinate exacerbated arthritis in the CIA model. Our findings highlight the importance of dysbiosis when evaluating the effects of dietary interventions on RA pathogenesis and provide new insight into dietary interventions or microbiome modifications to improve RA management. | Lingjuan Jiang Mengmeng Shang Shengnan Yu Yudong Liu Hui Zhang Yangzhong Zhou Min Wang Tingting Wang Hui Li Zhihua Liu Xuan Zhang | 2022 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,12: | 6
Recent developments in multimodality fluorescence imaging probes显示文摘Multimodality optical imaging probes have emerged as powerful tools that improve detection sensitivity and accuracy, important in disease diagnosis and treatment. | 11 | Solute-homogenization model and its experimental verification in Mg-Gd-based alloys显示文摘Composition homogenization in solid solution is important for industrial alloys. In the present work, a solute homogenization model is proposed based on the chemical short-range-order tendency in Mg-Gdbased alloys. After a calculation using the cluster-plus-glue-atom model, the stable Mg-Gd structural unit is derived, [Gd-Mg12]Mg6, where one solute Gd is nearest-neighbored with twelve Mg atoms to form the characteristic hcp cluster [Gd-Mg12] and this cluster is matched with six Mg glue atoms. Such a local unit is then mixed with [Mg-Mg12]Mg3, the stable unit for pure Mg. Assuming that the Gd-containing units are arranged in fcc-or bcc-like lattice points and the Mg units in their octahedral interstices, three proportions between the two units are obtained, 1:1, 2:3, and 1:3, which constitute three solute homogenization modes. The prevailing Mg-Gd-based alloys are consequently classified into three groups, respectively exemplified by GW103 K(Mg-10 Gd-3 Y-0.4 Zr, wt%), GW83 K(Mg-8 Gd-3 Y-0.4 Zr), and GW63 K(Mg-6 Gd-3 Y-0.4 Zr). Mg-Gd-Y-Zr alloys were designed following the model(where Y and Zr were also added in substitution for Gd) and prepared by permanent-mould casting. According to their mechanical properties, the 1:3 alloy(Mg-5.9 Gd-1.6 Y-0.4 Zr) shows the best comprehensive properties(ultimate tensile strength305 MPa, yield strength 186 MPa, elongation 9.0%) in solution plus ageing state. | Shengnan Qian Chuang Dong Tianyu Liu Ying Qin Qing Wang Yujuan Wu Lidong Gu Jianxin Zou Xiangwen Heng Liming Peng Xiaoqin Zeng | 2018 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2018,34,7: | 6
Levels of Metabolic Enzymes and Nitrogenous Compounds in the Swimming Crab Portunus trituberculatus Exposed to Elevated Ambient Ammonia-N显示文摘This study investigated the effects of ammonia-N(control and 1 and 5 mg L^(-1)) on the changes of metabolic enzymes activities and nitrogenous compounds levels in the gills, hepatopancreas, muscles, and hemolymph of the swimming crab Portunus trituberculatus. Results showed that the levels of hemolymph ammonia increased significantly at 6 h and then decreased to control level at 12 h. The activities of key enzymes involved in biosynthesis pathways of glutamine(Gln) and urea, such as glutamate dehydrogenase(GDH), glutamine synthetase(GS), and arginase(ARG), increased remarkably in different tissues of P. trituberculatus. Gln level was the highest in muscles, while urea content was the largest in hepatopancreas. The m RNA expression level of xanthine dehydrogenase(XDH) was downregulated sharply in gills but upregulated in the hepatopancreas and muscles. A small amount of uric acid was detected in the hemolymph. This result suggests that Gln in muscles may be used as an intermediary nitrogen repository, while urea may be primarily synthesized in the hepatopancreas and then transferred to other tissues via the hemolymph. Uric acid could be synthesized by the anabolism of purine nucleotides, in additon to the inhibitory activities of gills. In addition, the levels of Gln, urea and uric acid exhibited dose-and time-dependent effects with ammonia content. Therefore, P. trituberculatus could possibly convert ammonia into Gln, urea, or uric acid to detoxify ammonia during high ambient ammonia-N stress. | PAN Luqing SI Lingjun LIU Shengnan LIU Maoqi WANG Guohui | 2018 | Journal of Ocean University of China2018,17,4: | 5
Superior adsorption performance of graphitic carbon nitride nanosheets for both cationic and anionic heavy metals from wastewater显示文摘Water pollution caused by highly toxic Cd(II), Pb(II), and Cr(VI) is a serious problem. In the present work,a green and low-cost adsorbent of g-C_3N_4 nanosheets was developed with superior capacity for both cationic and anionic heavy metals. The adsorbent was easily fabricated through one-step calcination of guanidine hydrochloride with thickness less than 1.6 nm and specific surface area of 111.2 m^2·g^(-1). Kinetic and isotherm studies suggest that the adsorption is an endothermic chemisorption process, occurring on the energetically heterogeneous surface based on a hybrid mechanism of multilayer and monolayer adsorption. The tri-s-triazine units and surface N-containing groups of g-C_3N_4 nanosheets are proposed to be responsible for the adsorption process.Further study on pH demonstrates that electrostatic interaction plays an important role. The maximum adsorption capacity of Cd(II), Pb(II), and Cr(VI) on g-C_3N_4 nanosheets is 123.205 mg·g^(-1), 136.571 mg·g^(-1),and 684.451 mg·g^(-1), respectively. The better adsorption performance of the adsorbent than that of the recently reported nanomaterials and low-cost adsorbents proves its great application potential in the removal of heavy metal contaminants from wastewater. The present paper developed a promising adsorbent which will certainly find applications in wastewater treatment and also provides guiding significance in designing adsorption processes. | Gang Xiao Yaoqiang Wang Shengnan Xu Peifeng Li Chen Yang Yu Jin Qiufeng Sun Haijia Su | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2019,27,2: | 5

Defect in Brnym1,a magnesium-dechelatase protein, causes a stay-green phenotype in an EMSmutagenized Chinese cabbage(Brassica campestris L.ssp.pekinensis)line显示文摘Leaf color is an important target trait in Chinese cabbage breeding programs.Leaf yellowing may reduce crop commercial and nutritional values. Some plants with the“stay-green”trait maintain leaf greenness during senescence and even after death.Stay-green Chinese cabbage may be a focal point of future breeding projects because it could improve crop quality and yield and prolong shelf life.A new stay-green mutant,non-yellowing mutant 1(nym1),was identified in Chinese cabbage derived from an ethyl methane sulfonate(EMS)-mutagenized population. The mutant had stay-green characteristics and a higher chlorophyll content than the wild-type during leaf senescence. The staygreen trait in the mutant Chinese cabbage was controlled by the recessive gene Brnym1.MutMap and KASP analyses showed that Brnym1(BraA03g050600.3C)encodes an mg-dechelatase(SGR protein),which might be the causal gene of the mutation in Chinese cabbage.A nonsynonymous single nucleotide base substitution(G to A)in the third exon of Brnym1 caused an amino acid substitution from L to F in the highly conserved domain of the magnesiumdechelatase.Ectopic overexpression showed that the BrNYM1 gene of wild-type Chinese cabbage complemented the SGR-defective stay-green mutant nye1-1 of Arabidopsis. The magnesium-dechelatase activity in the nym1 mutant was significantly downregulated compared to that in the wild type.Brnym1 was relatively upregulated in the mutant during late senescence, and BrNYM1 was localized to the chloroplasts. These results indicate that Brnym1(BraA03g050600.3C)is the causal gene of the stay-green mutation and could be of particular significance in the genetic improvement of Chinese cabbage. | Nan Wang Yun Zhang Shengnan Huang Zhiyong Liu Chengyu Li Hui Feng | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 5
Genome editing in plants with MAD7 nuclease显示文摘MAD7 is an engineered nuclease of the Class 2 type V-A CRISPR-Cas(Cas12 a/Cpf1)family with a low level of homology to canonical Cas12 a nucleases. It has been publicly released as a royalty-free nuclease for both academic and commercial use. Here,we demonstrate that the CRISPR-MAD7 system can be used for genome editing and recognizes T-rich PAM sequences(YTTN)in plants. Its editing efficiency in rice and wheat is comparable to that of the widely used CRISPR-Lb Cas12 a system. We develop two variants,MAD7-RR and MAD7-RVR that increase the target range of MAD7,as well as an M-AFID(a MAD7-APOBEC fusion-induced deletion)system that creates predictable deletions from 50-deaminated Cs to the MAD7-cleavage site. Moreover,we show that MAD7 can be used for multiplex gene editing and that it is effective in generating indels when combined with other CRISPR RNA orthologs.Using the CRISPR-MAD7 system,we have obtained regenerated mutant rice and wheat plants with up to 65.6%efficiency. | Qiupeng Lin Zixu Zhu Guanwen Liu Chao Sun Dexing Lin Chenxiao Xue Shengnan Li Dandan Zhang Caixia Gao Yanpeng Wang Jin-Long Qiu | 2021 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,6: | 4
A novel miRNA negatively regulates resistance to Glomerella leaf spot by suppressing expression of an NBS gene in apple显示文摘Glomerella leaf spot(GLS)of apple(Malus×domestica Borkh.),caused by Glomerella cingulata,is an emerging fungal epidemic threatening the apple industry.Little is known about the molecular mechanism underlying resistance to this devastating fungus. In this study,high-throughput sequencing technology was used to identify microRNAs(miRNAs)involved in GLS resistance in apple. We focused on miRNAs that target genes related to disease and found that expression of a novel miRNA,Md-miRln20,was higher in susceptible apple varieties than in resistant ones.Furthermore, its target gene Md-TN1-GLS exhibited the opposite expression pattern, which suggested that the expression levels of Md-miRln20 and its target gene are closely related to apple resistance to GLS.Furthermore, downregulation of MdmiRln20 in susceptible apple leaves resulted in upregulation of Md-TN1-GLS and reduced the disease incidence.Conversely, overexpression of Md-miRln20 in resistant apple leaves suppressed Md-TN1-GLS expression, with increased disease incidence. We demonstrated that Md-miRln20 negatively regulates resistance to GLS by suppressing Md-TN1-GLS expression and showed, for the first time,a crucial role for miRNA in response to GLS in apple. | Yi Zhang Qiulei Zhang Li Hao Shengnan Wang Shengyuan Wang Wenna Zhang Chaoran Xu Yunfei Yu Tianzhong Li | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 4
Bioaccumulation, subcellular distribution and chemical forms of yttrium in rice seedling显示文摘Yttrium(Y) accumulation in soil is a serious environment problem in China. To understand the mechanisms involved in Y tolerance and detoxification in rice seedling, the bioaccumulation, subcellular distribution, and chemical forms of Y was investigated in the present study. The results show that the content of Y both in roots and shoots increases with the increasing concentration of Y, and a large amount of Y is stored in roots. Subcellular distribution of Y in rice indicates that the majority of Y is bound to cell wall. Meanwhile, various chemical forms of Y is absorbed by rice. The greatest amount of Y is extracted by 2% hydrate acetic acid(HAc) and 0.6 mol/L HCl(particularly 2% HAc), which indicates that most of Y is combined with un-dissolved phosphate and oxalate(particularly phosphate). Cluster analysis, based on Y abundance levels, reveals the relationship between Y distribution patterns and chemical forms. Our results imply that Y forming of precipitates with phosphate(and/or oxalate) and depositing in the cell wall may be a key strategy for Y detoxicity and tolerance in rice. | Shengnan Zheng Caiyun Zhang Kailun Shi Jinxiao Wang Guanjun Sun Qiaochu Hu Fengyun Zhao Xue Wang | 2018 | Journal of Rare Earths2018,36,3: | 4
Effect of Geometrical Parameters on Submerged Cavitation Jet Discharged from Profiled Central-body Nozzle显示文摘The flow characteristics of cavitation jets are essential issues among relevant studies. The physical properties of the jet are largely determined by the geometrical parameters of the nozzle. The structure and cavitation jets characteristics of the angular-nozzle and the self-resonating cavitation nozzle have been extensively studied, but little research is conducted in the central-body cavitation nozzle mainly because of its hard processing and the cavitation jet effect not satisfactory. In this paper, a novel central-body nozzle (a non-plunger central-body nozzle with square outlet) is studied to solve above problems. Submerged jets discharged from the novel central-body nozzle are simulated, employing the full cavitation model. The impact of nozzle configuration on jet properties is analyzed. The analysis results indicate that when central-body relative diameter keeps constant, there is an optimal contraction degree of nozzle's outlet, which can induce intense cavitation in the jet. The central-body relative diameter also affects jet profiles. In the case of large central-body relative diameter, most of the bubbles settle in the jet core. On the contrary, a smaller relative diameter makes bubbles concentrate in the interface between the jet and its surrounding fluid. Moreover, the shorter outlet part allows the cavitation zone further extend in both the axial and racial directions. The research results further consummate the study on the central-body nozzles and the correlation between cavitation jet and the structure, and elementarily reveal the mechanism of cavitation jet produced in a non-plunger novel central-body nozzle and the effect of the structure parameters on the cavitation jet, moreover, provide the theoretical basis for the optimal design of the nozzle. | YANG Minguan XIAO Shengnan KANG Can WANG Yuli | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2013,26,3: | 4
