Design and immunogenicity assessment of HIV-1 virus-like particles as a candidate vaccine显示文摘The rapid growth of the global HIV/AIDS epidemic makes it a high priority to develop an effective vaccine.Since a live attenuated or inactivated HIV vaccine is not likely to be approved for clinical application due to safety concerns,HIV virus like particles(VLPs) offer an attractive alternative because they are considered safer since they lack viral genome. We got a stable eukaryotic cell line by G418 resistance selection, engineered to express the HIV-1 structure protein Gag and Env efficiently and stably. We confirmed the presence of Gag and Env proteins in the cell culture supernatant and that they could self-assemble into VLPs.These VLPs were found to be able to elicit specific humoral and cellular immune response after immunization without any adjuvant. | ZHANG XiZhen WANG XiaoDan ZHAO DongHai MENG XiangYu ZHAO XingHong YU XiangHui KONG Wei | 2011 | Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,11: | 4
Materials Experiment on Tiangong-2 Space Laboratory显示文摘During the China's Tiangong-2(TG-2) flight mission, the experiments of 18 kinds of material samples were conducted in space by using a Multiple Materials Processing Furnace(MMPF) mounted in the orbital module of the TG-2 space laboratory. After the experiments of 12 kinds of samples of the first and second batches were completed successfully, astronauts packed and brought them back to the ground by ShenzhouII spacecraft. By studying processing and formation on semiconductor and optoelectronics materials, metal alloys and metastable materials, functional single-crystal, micro-and nano-composite materials encapsulated in sample ampoules both in space and on Earth, we expect to explore some physical and chemical processes and mechanism of the materials formation that are normally obscured and therefore are difficult to study quantitatively on the ground due to the gravity-induced convection, to obtain the processing and synthesis technology for preparing high quality materials, and lead to the improvement and development of materials processing techniques on Earth, and also develop the experiment device and comprehensive ability for materials experiment in microgravity environment. This report briefly introduces the main points of each research work and preliminary comparative analysis results of 12 samples carried out by scientists undertaking research task. | LI Xiangyang LU Ye MENG Xiangjian WANG Jianlu WANG Reng CHEN Lidong HUA Zile LI Xiaoya SHI Jianlin LIU Jinfeng XU Guisheng WEI Bingbo XIE Wenjun YIN Zhigang ZHANG Xingwang JIANG Hongxiang LI Hong LUO Xinghong ZHANG Haifeng ZHAO Jiuzhou WANG Binbin PAN Mingxiang | 2018 | 空间科学学报2018,38,5: | 4

The mechanisms of the redox reactions were supposed-and the orders of redox ability of the heteropoly compounds were concluded. The periodic changes in reduction potentials of Ln(PMo11O39)211-and Ln(P2Mo17O61)2217- with Ln atomic numbers, and the correlation between E1/2 of Ln(XMo11O39)2(?)-(X =P, Ge, Si) and nq2(n is the main quantum number of the central atoms and q is their charges) were found. | Wang Enbo, Lu Xinghong, Zhao Shiliang, Liu Jingfu and Zhang Baojian (Defartment of Chemistry, Northeast Normal University, Changchun) | 1989 | Chemical Research in Chinese Universities1989,5,3: | 3 |
Cross-calibration on the electromagnetic field detection payloads of the China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite显示文摘The China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite(CSES)deploys three payloads to detect the electromagnetic environment in the ionosphere. The tri-axial fluxgate magnetometers(FGM),as part of the high precision magnetometer(HPM),measures the Earth magnetic vector field in a frequency range from direct current(DC)to 15 Hz.The tri-axial search coil magnetometer(SCM)detects the alternating current(AC)related magnetic field in a frequency range from several Hz to 20 k Hz,and the electric field detector(EFD)measures the spatial electric field in a broad frequency band from DC to 3.5 MHz.This work mainly crosscalibrates the consistency of these three payloads in their overlapped detection frequency range and firstly evaluates CSES’s timing system and the sampling time differences between EFD and SCM.A sampling time synchronization method for EFD and SCM waveform data is put forward. The consistency between FGM and SCM in the ultra-low-frequency(ULF)range is validated by using the magnetic torque(MT)signal as a reference.A natural quasiperiodic electromagnetic wave event verifies SCM and EFD’s consistency in extremely low-frequency and very low-frequency(ELF/VLF)bands.This cross-calibration work is helpful to upgrade the data quality of CSES and brings valuable insights to similar electromagnetic detection solutions by low earth orbit satellites. | ZHIMA Zeren ZHOU Bin ZHAO ShuFan WANG Qiao HUANG JianPing ZENG Li LEI JunGang CHEN Yu LI Cheng YANG DeHe SUN XiaoYing MIAO YuanQing ZHU XingHong SHEN XuHui | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,6: | 3

Microstructural regulation, oxidation resistance, and mechanical properties of C_(f)/SiC/SiHfBOC composites prepared by chemical vapor infiltration with precursor infiltration pyrolysis显示文摘To further improve the oxidation resistance of polymer derived ceramic(PDC)composites in harsh environments,Cf/SiC/SiHfBOC composites were prepared by chemical vapor infiltration(CVI)and precursor impregnation pyrolysis(PIP)methods. The weight retention change, mechanical properties, and microstructure of C/SiC/SiHfBOC before and after oxidation in air were studied in details.Microscopic analyses showed that only the interface between the ceramics and fibers was oxidized to some extent, and hafnium had been enriched on the composite surface after oxidizing at different temperature. The main oxidation products of Cf/SiC/SiHfBOC composites were Hf0_(2)and HfSi04 after oxidation at 1500℃for 60 min. Moreover, the weight retention ratio and compressive strength of the Cf/SiC/SiHfBOC composites are 83.97%and 23.88±3.11 MPa,respectively. It indicates that the Cf/SiC/SiHfBOC composites should be promising to be used for a short time in the oxidation environment at 1500℃. | Yang LYU Baihe DU Guiqing CHEN Guangdong ZHAO Yuan CHENG Shanbao ZHOU Qingrong LV Xinghong ZHANG Wenbo HAN | 2022 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,1: | 1

Space Materials Science in China:I.Experiment Studies under Microgravity显示文摘The virtual absence of gravity-dependent phenomena in microgravity allows an in-depth understanding of fundamental events that are normally obscured and therefore are difficult to study quantitatively on Earth.Of particular interest is that the low-gravity environment aboard space provides a unique platform to synthesize alloys of semiconductors with homogeneous composition distributions,on both the macroscopic and microscopic scales, due to the much reduced buoyancy-driven convection. On the other hand, the easy realization of detached solidification in microgravity suppresses the formation of defects such as dislocations and twins, and thereby the crystallographic perfection is greatly increased. Moreover, the microgravity condition offers the possibilities to elucidate the liquid/solid interfacial structures,as well as clarify the microstructure evolution path of the metal alloys(or composites)during the solidification process.Motivated by these facts, growths of compound semiconductors and metal alloys were carried out under microgravity by using the drop tube,or on the scientific platforms of Tiangong-2 and SJ-10.The following illustrates the main results. | ZHANG Xingwang YIN Zhigang YU Jianding YUAN Zhangfu ZHAO Jiuzhou LUO Xinghong PAN Mingxiang | 2020 | 空间科学学报2020,40,5: | 0

Biodiversity of fungi on Vitis vinifera L. revealed by traditional and high-resolution culture-independent approaches显示文摘This study is unique as it compares traditional and high-resolution culture-independent approaches using the same set of samples to study the saprotrophic fungi on Vitis vinifera. We identified the saprotrophic communities of table grape(Red Globe)and wine grape(Carbanate Gernischet)in China using both traditional and culture-independent techniques. The traditional approach used direct observations based on morphology, single spore isolation and phylogenetic analysis yielding 45 taxa which 19 were commonly detected in both cultivars. The same set of samples were then used for Illumina sequencing which analyzed ITS1 sequence data and detected 226 fungal OTUs,of which 176 and 189 belong to the cultivars Carbanate Gernischet and Red Globe, respectively. There were 139 OTUs shared between the two V.vinifera cultivars and 37 and 50 OTUs were specific to Carbanate Gernischet and Red Globe cultivars respectively. In the Carbanate Gernischet cultivar,Ascomycota accounted for 77%of the OTUs and in Red Globe, almost all sequenced were Ascomycota. The fungal taxa overlap at the genus and species level between the traditional and culture-independent approach was relatively low.In the traditional approach we were able to identify the taxa to species level, while in the culture-independent method we were frequently able to identify the taxa to family or genus level. This is remarkable as we used the same set of samples collected in China for both approaches. We recommend the use of traditional techniques to accurately identify taxa.Culture-independent method can be used to get a better understanding about the organisms that are present in a host in its natural environment. We identified primary and secondary plant pathogens and endophytes in the saprotrophic fungal communities, which support previous observations, that dead plant material in grape vineyards can be the primary sources of disease. Finally, based on present and previous findings,we provide a worldwide checklist of 905 fungal taxa on Vitis species, which includes their mode of life and distribution. | Ruvishika S.Jayawardena Witoon Purahong Wei Zhang Tesfaye Wubet XingHong Li Mei Liu Wensheng Zhao Kevin D.Hyde JianHua Liu Jiye Yan | 2018 | Fungal Diversity2018,,3: | 0

Efficient fabrication of light Cf/SiHfBOC composites with excellent thermal shock resistance and ultra-high-temperature ablation up to 1800℃显示文摘In this paper,a high-yield Hf-modified SiHfBOC ceramic precursor was developed, and a high-pressure assisted impregnation pyrolysis method was proposed to achieve the preparation of 3D PyC–Cf/SiHfBOC composites. This high-pressure assisted impregnation method significantly improves impregnation filling effect of the precursor in and between fiber bundles compared to dozens of traditional impregnation cycles. After undergoing just 9 precursor infiltration pyrolysis(PIP)cycles, the composites achieved relative density of approximately 90%and density of 1.64 g/cm^(3).The critical temperature difference of the 3D PyC–Cf/SiHfBOC composites after the shock of room temperature(RT)–1000℃is as high as 650℃,which is twice that of traditional ceramic materials, showing good thermal shock resistance.Under the effect of Hf modification,a dense HfO_(2)–SiO_(2)oxide layer(thickness of 93μm)was formed in situ on the surface of the 3D PyC–Cf/SiHfBOC composites, effectively preventing further erosion of the composite matrix by high-temperature oxidation gas.Even in the ultra-high-temperature oxygen-containing environment at 1800℃,it still exhibits an excellent non-ablative result(with a linear ablation rate of 0.83×10^(−4)mm/s).This work not only enriches the basic research on lightweight ultra-high-temperature ceramic composites converted from Hf ceramic precursors, but also provides strong technical support for their applications in ultra-high-temperature non-ablative thermal protection materials for high-speed aircraft. | Yang Lyu Zhihong Han Guangdong Zhao Yuan Cheng Shanbao Zhou Xinghong Zhang Guiqing Chen Wenbo Han | 2023 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,11: | 0
