| 1 | Effect of Lichong decoction on expression of Bcl-2 and Bcl-2-associated X protein mRNAs in hysteromyoma model rat显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To study on effects of Lichong decoction on expression of apoptosis-controlling genes,Bcl-2 and Bcl-2-associated X protein(Bax) mRNAs in hysteromyoma tissue of the hysteromyoma model rat.METHODS:Fifty Wistar female rats were randomly divided into a normal group,a model group,a Lichong decoction group,a Guizifuling capsule group and a Mifepristone group.The hysteromyoma rat model was established by intraperitoneal injection of exogenous estrin and progestogens.Pathological examination of uterine tissue,uterine coefficient and uterine transverse diameter were made under optic microscope and expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax mRNAs in uterine tissue in the groups were detected with real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction(PCR) technique.RESULTS:After treatment,under microscope it was found that in the Lichong decoction group myometrium thinned,muscle fiber slightly overgrowth or long and thin,regular arrangement,inserting phenomenon of inner circular muscle and external longitudinal muscle was occasionally or not seen in the Lichong decoction group.The uterine coefficient and the uterine transverse diameter significantly decreased(P<0.01),and Bcl-2 mRNA expression significantly decreased(P<0.01) and Bax mRNA expression significantly increased in hysteromyoma tissue(P<0.01) in the Lichong decoction group as compared with the model group.CONCLUSION:Therapeutic effects of Lichong decoction on hysteromyoma is related with decrease of Bcl-2 mRNA expression and increase of Bax mRNA expression. | Donghua Li Xin Xu Ruiya Qian Jianguo Geng Yan Zhang Xiaolei Xie Yasong Wang Xiaoli Zou | 2013 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,2: | 24 |
| 2 | Hierarchical Control of Ride Height System for Electronically Controlled Air Suspension Based on Variable Structure and Fuzzy Control Theory显示文摘The current research of air suspension mainly focuses on the characteristics and design of the air spring. In fact, electronically controlled air suspension(ECAS) has excellent performance in flexible height adjustment during different driving conditions. However, the nonlinearity of the ride height adjusting system and the uneven distribution of payload affect the control accuracy of ride height and the body attitude. Firstly, the three-point measurement system of three height sensors is used to establish the mathematical model of the ride height adjusting system. The decentralized control of ride height and the centralized control of body attitude are presented to design the ride height control system for ECAS. The exact feedback linearization method is adopted for the nonlinear mathematical model of the ride height system. Secondly, according to the hierarchical control theory, the variable structure control(VSC) technique is used to design a controller that is able to adjust the ride height for the quarter-vehicle anywhere, and each quarter-vehicle height control system is independent. Meanwhile, the three-point height signals obtained by three height sensors are tracked to calculate the body pitch and roll attitude over time, and then by calculating the deviation of pitch and roll and its rates, the height control correction is reassigned based on the fuzzy algorithm. Finally, to verify the effectiveness and performance of the proposed combined control strategy, a validating test of ride height control system with and without road disturbance is carried out. Testing results show that the height adjusting time of both lifting and lowering is over 5 s, and the pitch angle and the roll angle of body attitude are less than 0.15?. | 3 | Lichong decoction reduces Matrix Metalloproteinases-2 expression but increases Tissue Inhibitors of Matrix Metalloproteinases-2 ex-pression in a rat model of uterine leiomyoma显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of Lichong decoction(LD) on expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2) and metalloproteinase-2(TIMP-2) in a rat model of uterine leiomyoma(UL).METHODS:UL was induced in rats using exogenous estrogen and progesterone.LD was administered(p.o.) for 4 weeks,and mifepristone(RU-486)used as a control.To observe the effect of LD on the uterine coefficient and uterine transverse diameter,a radioimmunoassay method was used to detect serum levels of sex hormones.Light microscopic analyses of pathologic changes in the tissues of UL rats were evaluated.Expression of the proteins of matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs) and tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases(TIMPs) in uterine tissues was assessed by immunohistochemical staining and western blotting.RESULTS:A UL model in rats was established successfully.LD reduced uterine weight,uterine coefficient,and uterine transverse diameter compared with untreated controls.LD reduced levels of estradiol,progesterone,follicle-stimulating hormone,and luteinizing hormone in our UL models.LD improved the pathologic condition of uterine muscle.Expression of MMP-2 protein decreased to varying extents in LD-treated groups,but TIMP-2 levels were enhanced.LD appears to reduce MMP-2 expression and increase TIMP-2 expression in UL tissue.CONCLUSION:These data suggest that the mechanism of action of LD on ULs may involve reduction of MMP-2 expression and increase in TIMP-2 expression in rats. | Wang Yasong Li Donghua Xu Xin Qian Ruiya Zhang Yalan Huang Yuhua Geng Jianguo Zou Xiaoli Han Hon-gjuan Zhang Wufang | 2016 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,4: | 12 |

| 5 | Isolation and identification of sinapine-degrading bacteria from the intestinal tract of laying hens显示文摘This study was aimed to isolate sinapine-degrading bacteria from the intestinal tract of laying hens and to identify the predominant bacteria. Thirty-week old healthy laying hens were killed, and the chyme in the digestive tract was inoculated into modified Czapek medium containing sinapin and cultivated at 37 ℃for 10 days. The optical density(OD) values of the bacterial solutions at different cultivating times were detected by a spectrophotometric method. The predominant strains were identified by 16 S rRNA gene analysis. We extracted the extracellular products of the predominant strains to determine the total protein using the Coomassie brilliant blue method, and to determine the activities of some extracellular enzymes using the agar plate diffusion method. Nine strains were isolated from the lower intestinal tract of laying hens. Among the 9 strains, 5 were from the ileum, 2 were from the ceca and 2 were from the jejunum. We could not isolate any strains from the upper intestinal tract, such as the stomach and duodenum. Eight of those 9 isolated strains were gram negative and one was gram positive. Strains YD-1 and YD-2 were better than other strains in their abilities to degrade sinapine. Strains YD-1 and YD-2 were identified as Escherichia coli and Klebsiella spp., respectively, by the 16 S rRNA sequence analysis.The total protein level of the extracellular products was 1.213 g/L for YD-1 and 1.990 g/L for YD-2. Both extracellular products of YD-1 and YD-2 had the activities of protease, amylase and urease. This study confirmed that the primary site of sinapine degradation is in the lower intestinal tract of laying hens. The sinapine-degrading strains are mainly gram negative. Strains YD-1 and YD-2 are predominant in degrading sinapine and they belong to E. coli and Klebsiella spp., respectively. Both extracellular products of YD-1 and YD-2 contain protease, amylase and urease. | 6 | A static resistance model and the discontinuous pattern of hydrocarbon accumulation in tight oil reservoirs显示文摘In exploration for tight oil, the content and saturation of hydrocarbon in the tight reservoir is a key factor for evaluating the reserve. Therefore, it is necessary to study the geological history of hydrocarbon accumulation and the tight oil charging process. However, kinetic models used for petroleum development are not applicable for petroleum exploration. In this study, a static resistance model is proposed after analyzing resistances in ultra-slow flow in porous media. Using this model, the discontinuous pattern of oil charging is reproduced through incompressible Navier-Stokes equations, the phase field method and the finite element method. This study also explains macroscopic percolation behavior with microscopic flow mechanisms and discusses some issues in ultra-slow flow in a micro/nano pore-throat network. The resistance analysis reveals that capillary resistance and dissipation resistance are dominant factors in the mechanism of oil accumulation in tight reservoirs. Numerical simulations show that pressure thresholds exist and result in discontinuous oil charging. | 7 | The clinical study of ultrasound-guided intra-hysteromyoma injection of ethyl alcohol absolute combined with HIFU in the treatment of uterine fibroids显示文摘Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the energy deposition in the target area of high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU) with ultrasound-guided intra-hysteromyoma injection of ethyl alcohol absolute Methods Eighty patients with hysteromyomas were randomly divided into two groups: group HIFU(group H) and group HIFU combined with ultrasound-guided intra-hysteromyoma injectionn of ethyl alcohol absolute(group E + H). Patients in group E + H received an ultrasound-guided injection of absolute ethyl alcohol 1 h before HIFU treatment. The irradiation time, irradiation dose, energy efficiency factor(radiation energy required for ablation of a myoma per unit of volume), grey variation, pain score, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. An independent sample t-test was used with a twotailed P-value of < 0.05.Results The irradiation time, irradiation dose, and energy efficiency factor were significantly lower in group E + H than those in group H(P < 0.05). The hysteromyomas of patients in group E+H appeared as dominantly hyperechoic masses, and those of patients in group H appeared as hyperechoic tissue(nonmass). | 8 | A strategy with label-free quantification of the targeted peptides for quantitative peptidome analysis of human serum显示文摘Peptidomics draws more and more attention in discovering useful biomarkers for early diagnosis of disease. However, there is lack of efficient quantification strategy in peptidome analysis. In this study, a strategy with label-free quantification of the targeted endogenous peptides based on peak intensity using μUPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS was developed for quantitative peptidome analysis of human serum. Different amounts of standard BSA tryptic digesting peptides were added into the same serum extracts for evaluation of the developed strategy, and it was observed that the average relative error of the targeted peptides was 6.42%, which was superior to the result obtained directly by commercially available software PLGS. It was also demonstrated that this quantification strategy could obviously increase the detection sensitivity of the peptide by DDA analysis. Then, this strategy was applied to comparatively analyze the peptides extracted from the serum of HCC or breast cancer patients and healthy individuals, respectively. Peptides with charge states up to 5 and molecular weight over 4000 can be reliably identified and quantified. This quantitative analysis method based on μUPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS exhibited superior sensitivity than that by MALDI-TOF-MS commonly used in peptidome analysis. Methods: We retrospectively evaluated the ultrasound results from 36 cases of PTMC with 20 nodules of cystic degeneration of cervical lymph node metastasis and correlated the results with the histopathologic findings. Results: The preliminary study indicated certain correlation between histopathologic findings and ultrasound results of posterior echo attenuation of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma and cystic degeneration of cervical lymph node metastasis. | 14 | Investigation of high extraction efficiency flip-chip GaN-based light-emitting diodes显示文摘In order to obtain higher light output power, the flip-chip structure is used. We studied the ratio of the light of GaN sides before and after fabricating metal reflector on p-GaN. The SiO2/SiNx dielectric film reflectors were deposited through plasma enhance chemical vapor deposition following the fabrication of metal reflector, and then the dielectric film reflectors on the electrodes were etched in order to expose the electrodes to the air. It is found that comparing with the flip-chip GaN-LED without dielectric film reflectors, light output power can be increased by as high as 10.2% after the deposition of 2 pairs of SiO2/SiNx dielectric film reflectors on GaN-LEDs, which cover the sidewalls and the areas without the metal reflector.
