| 3 | Evapotranspiration estimation considering anthropogenic heat based on remote sensing in urban area显示文摘Urbanization influences hydrologic cycle significantly on local,regional even global scale.With urbanization the water resources demand for dense population sharpened,thus it is a great challenge to ensure water supply for some metropolises such as Beijing.Urban area is traditionally considered as the area with lower evapotranspiration(ET) on account of the impervious surface and the lower wind speed.For most remote sensing models,the ET,defined as latent heat in energy budget,is estimated as the difference between net radiation and sensible heat.The sensible heat is generally higher in urban area due to the high surface temperature caused by heat island,therefore the latent heat(i.e.the ET) in urban area is lower than that in other region.We estimated water consumption from 2003 to 2012 in Beijing based on water balance method and found that the annual mean ET in urban area was about 654 mm.However,using Surface Energy Balance System(SEBS) model,the annual mean ET in urban area was only 348 mm.We attributed this inconsistence to the impact of anthropogenic heat and quantified this impact on the basis of the night-light maps.Therefore,a new model SEBS-Urban,coupling SEBS model and anthropogenic heat was developed to estimate the ET in urban area.The ET in urban area of Beijing estimated by SEBS-Urban showed a good agreement with the ET from water balance method.The findings from this study highlighted that anthropogenic heat should be included in the surface energy budget for a highly urbanized area. | CONG ZhenTao SHEN QiNing ZHOU Lin SUN Ting LIU JiaHong | 2017 | Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,4: | 6 |

| 7 | Integrative analysis of in vivo recording with single-cell RNA-seq data reveals molecular properties of light-sensitive neurons in mouse V1显示文摘Vision formation is classically based on projections from retinal ganglion cells(RGC)to the lateral geniculate nucleus(LGN)and the primary visual cortex(V1).Neurons in the mouse V1 are tuned to light stimuli.Although the cellular information of the retina and the LGN has been widely studied,the transcriptome profiles of single light-stimulated neuron in V1 remain unknown.In our study,in vivo calcium imaging and whole-cell electrophysiological patch-clamp recording were utilized to identify 53 individual cells from layer 2/3 of V1 as lightsensitive(LS)or non-light-sensitive(NS)by single-cell light-evoked calcium evaluation and action potential spiking.The contents of each cell after functional tests were aspirated in vivo through a patch-clamp pipette for mRNA sequencing.Moreover,the three-dimensional(3-D)morphological characterizations of the neurons were reconstructed in a live mouse after the whole-cell recordings.Our sequencing results indicated that V1 neurons with a high expression of genes related to transmission regulation,such as Rtn4r and Rgs7,and genes involved in membrane transport,such as Na+/K+ATPase and NMDA-type glutamatergic receptors,preferentially responded to light stimulation.Furthermore,an antagonist that blocks Rtn4r signals could inactivate the neuronal responses to light stimulation in live mice.In conclusion,our findings of the vivo-seq analysis indicate the key role of the strength of synaptic transmission possesses neurons in V1 of light sensory. | Jianwei Liu Mengdi Wang Le Sun Na Clara Pan Changjiang Zhang Junjing Zhang Zhentao Zuo Sheng He Qian Wu Xiaoqun Wang | 2020 | Protein & Cell2020,11,6: | 0 |

| 9 | Variability of complementary relationship and its mechanism on different time scales显示文摘In the complementary relationship (CR) between actual and potential evapotranspiration, wet envi- ronment evapotranspiration (Ew) is usually calculated using the Priestley-Taylor (P-T) equation. Based on the data obtained from 38 catchments of the Haihe River basin and the Weishan experiment site in Shandong Province of China, this study has found variations in the Priestley-Taylor parameter α (e.g. increase in values with increase in the amount of precipitation on annual scale, seasonal fluctuation noted to be at a maximum during winter and at a minimum during summer, and increased values in the forenoon and decreased values in the afternoon on an hourly scale). This paper explains that the in- ter-annual variation in α is due to the negative feedback of atmosphere in response to changes in ac- tual increase in evapotranspiration, which is weakened because the atmosphere system is open. | 10 | Application of controlled-release urea increases maize N uptake,environmental benefits and economic returns via optimizing temporal and spatial distributions of soil mineral N显示文摘The creation of controlled-release urea (CRU) is a potent substitute for conventional fertilizers in order to preserve the availability of nitrogen (N) in soil,prevent environmental pollution,and move toward green agriculture.The main objectives of this study were to assess the impacts of CRU’s full application on maize production and to clarify the connection between the nutrient release pattern of CRU and maize nutrient uptake.In order to learn more about the effects of CRU application on maize yields,N uptake,mineral N (N_(min)) dynamics,N balance in soil-crop systems,and economic returns,a series of field experiments were carried out in 2018–2020 in Dalian City,Liaoning Province,China.There were 4 different treatments in the experiments:no N fertilizer input (control,CK);application of common urea at 210 kg ha^(-1)(U),the ideal fertilization management level for the study site;application of polyurethane-coated urea at the same N input rate as U (PCU);and application of PCU at a 20% reduction in N input rate (0.8PCU).Our findings showed that using CRU (i.e.,PCU and 0.8 PCU) may considerably increase maize N absorption,maintain maize yields,and increase N use efficiency (NUE) compared to U.The grain yield showed considerable positive correlations with total N uptake in leaf in U and 0.8 PCU,but negative correlations with that in PCU,indicating that PCU caused excessive maize absorption while 0.8 PCU could achieve a better yield response to N supply.Besides,PCU was able to maintain N fertilizer in the soil profile 0–20 cm away from the fertilization point,and higher N_(min)content was observed in the 0–20 cm soil layer at various growth stages,particularly at the middle and late growing stages,optimizing the temporal and spatial distributions of N_(min).Additionally,compared to that in U,the apparent N loss rate in PCU was reduced by 36.2%,and applying CRU (PCU and 0.8 PCU) increased net profit by 8.5% to 15.2% with less labor and fertilization frequency.It was concluded that using CRU could be an effective N fertilizer management strategy to sustain maize production,improve NUE,and increase economic returns while minimizing environmental risks. | Mingxue SUN Juan LI Lili ZHANG Xiaomeng SU Ning LIU Xiaori HAN Songjiang WU Zhentao SUN Xiangdong YANG | 2024 | Pedosphere2024,34,1: | 0 |
| 11 | Soil characteristics and ecological thresholds of Suaeda salsa wetlands显示文摘Suaeda salsa is an annual euhalophyte in estuarine wetlands.Soil properties of wetlands have an important influence on S.salsa growth.Therefore,the soil ecological thresholds is valuable for the restoration of degraded S.salsa wetlands.The objectives of this present study were to analyze the soil physicochemical properties and evaluate the soil ecological thresholds in the typical degraded areas for S.salsa growth.Soil text components became coarser with increased sand contents and less clay contents,as the higher degree of wetland degradation.Meanwhile,the salt contents in different soil depths gradually increased with the increased degree of degradation of wetlands.Evident changes in soil water content,organic matter content,and cations concentrations were not observed,while the concentrations of these factors were higher in the soil layer of 0-10 cm than those in the 20-30 cm.The soil pH in the 0-10 cm soil layer was lower than that in the 20-30 cm.The content of the three available nutrients did not change evidently with the increasing degree of degradation.The optimum thresholds of soil salinity and water content were 7.073-16.613 g/kg and 31.8-63.2%,respectively. | Fengkui Qian Yang Zhou Wanning Li Xiangguo Wang Zhentao Sun Guize Liu Haifeng Wei | 2022 | Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2022,8,1: | 0 |
