1The ACTIVE study protocol:apatinib or placebo plus gefitinib as first-line treatment for patients with EGFR-mutant advanced non-small cell lung cancer(CTONG1706)显示文摘Background:Gefitinib,as the first epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors(EGFR-TKI)approved for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),has been proved to significantly improve the progression-free survival(PFS)in the first-line setting but suffers from resistance 7-10 months after treatment initia-tion.Apatinib(YN968D1),a potent vascular endothelial growth factor receptor(VEGFR)2-TKI,specifically binds to VEGFR2 and leads to anti-angiogenetic and anti-neoplastic effect.Concurrent inhibition of VEGFR and EGFR path-ways represents a rational approach to improve treatment responses and delay the onset of treatment resistance in EGFR-mutant NSCLC.This ACTIVE study aims to assess the combination of apatinib and gefitinib as a new treatment approach for EGFR-mutant NSCLC as a first-line setting.Methods:This multicenter,randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled phase III study(NCT02824458)has been designed to assess the efficacy and safety of apatinib or placebo combined with gefitinib as a first-line treatment for patients with EGFR-mutant advanced NSCLC.A total of 310 patients with EGFR-mutation(19del or 21L858R),pathological stage IIIB to IV non-squamous NSCLC were to be enrolled.The primary endpoint is investigator assessment of PFS,and the secondary endpoints include independent radiological central(IRC)-confirmed PFS,overall survival(OS),objective response rate(ORR),disease control rate(DCR),time to progressive disease(TTPD),duration of response(DoR),quality of life(QoL)and safety.The patients are randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive gefitinib(250 mg,p.o.q.d.)plus apatinib(500 mg,p.o.q.d.)or gefitinib plus placebo,given until disease progression or intolerable adverse events.Exploratory biomarker analysis will be performed.This study is being conducted across China and comprises of 30 participating centers.Enrollment commenced in August 2017 and finished in December 2018,most of the patients are in the follow-up period.Anticipated outcomes and significance:The present study will be the first to evaluate the efficacy and safety profile of the combination of apatinib plus gefitinib as a first-line therapy for patients with EGFR-positive advanced non-squamous NSCLC.Importantly,this trial will provide comprehensive evidence on the treatment of EGFR-TKIs combined with antiangiogenic therapy.Zhonghan Zhang Fan Luo Yang Zhang Yuxiang Ma Shaodong Hong Yunpeng Yang Wenfeng Fang Yan Huang Li Zhang Hongyun Zhao 2019Cancer Communications2019,39,1:5
2Optical and scintillation properties of Ce:Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12) single crystal fibers grown by laser heated pedestal growth method显示文摘The single crystal scintillating optical fibers acting as the scintillators and light conductors show potential application in scintillating fiber array detectors with high spatial resolution.In this paper we report the growth of 0.2 at%Ce:Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12) single crystal fiber.The crystalline phase,surface morphology of the axialsection and cro ss-section,optical and scintillation properties of the as-grown fiber were investigated.The Ce:Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12) single crystal fiber has a pure YAG phase,a uniform distribution of cerium in the axialsection and cross-section surface.Emission spectrum is composed of broad bands ranging from 440 to700 nm.In addition,the single crystal fiber has a high light yield of 26115±2000 photons/MeV,low energy resolution of 9.44%@662 keV and decay time of a fast component of 78 ns and a slow component of 301 ns.The intensity ratio of fast to slow components is roughly 8:1.Xibin Wang Yun Dai Zhonghan Zhang Liangbi Su Huamin Kou Yangxiao Wang Anhua Wu 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,12:2

6Selective laser melted high Ni content TiNi alloy with superior superelasticity and hardwearing显示文摘TiNi alloys with high content Ni(52-55 at.%)are perfectly suitable for preparing wear-and corrosionresistant parts that service on the space station,spacecraft,and submarine,because of their superior superelasticity,high strength,and hardwearing.However,the fabrication of complicated Ni-rich TiNi parts by the traditional machining method often faces problems of poor precision,low efficiency,and high cost.In this work,we succeed in preparing an excellent Ti_(47)Ni_(53) alloy by selective laser melting(SLM),and thus,open a new way for the efficient and precise formation of complicated Ni-rich TiNi parts with superelasticity and hardwearing.An optimized processing window for compact parts without defects is reported.The elaborately fabricated Ti_(47)Ni_(53) alloy exhibited a breaking strain of 11%,a breaking stress of 2.0 GPa,a superelastic strain of 9%,and a better hardwearing than that of casting and quenched Ti_(47)Ni_(53) alloy.Besides,the microstructure,phase transformation,and deformation,as well as their influence mechanisms are investigated by in situ transmission electron microscope(TEM)and high-energy X-ray diffraction(HE-XRD).The results obtained are of significance for both fundamental research and technological applications of SLM-fabricated high Ni content TiNi alloys.Hui Shen Qingquan Zhang Ying Yang Yang Ren Yanbao Guo Yafeng Yang Zhonghan Li Zhiwei Xiong Xiangguang Kong Zhihui Zhang Fangmin Guo Lishan Cui Shijie Hao 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,21:1

8Graphene binding on black phosphorus enables high on/off ratios and mobility显示文摘Graphene is one of the most promising candidates for integrated circuits due to its robustness against short-channel effects,inherent high carrier mobility and desired gapless nature for Ohmic contact,but it is difficult to achieve satisfactory on/off ratios even at the expense of its carrier mobility,limiting its device applications.Here,we present a strategy to realize high back-gate switching ratios in a graphene monolayer with well-maintained high mobility by forming a vertical heterostructure with a black phosphorus multi-layer.By local current annealing,strain is introduced within an established area of the graphene,which forms a reflective interface with the rest of the strain-free area and thus generates a robust off-state via local current depletion.Applying a positive back-gate voltage to the heterostructure can keep the black phosphorus insulating,while a negative back-gate voltage changes the black phosphorus to be conductive because of hole accumulation.Then,a parallel channel is activated within the strain-free graphene area by edge-contacted electrodes,thereby largely inheriting the intrinsic carrier mobility of graphene in the on-state.As a result,the device can provide an on/off voltage ratio of>10^(3)as well as a mobility of∼8000 cm^(2)V^(−1)s^(−1)at room temperature,meeting the low-power criterion suggested by the International Roadmap for Devices and Systems.Fanrong Lin Zhonghan Cao Feiping Xiao Jiawei Liu Jiabin Qiao Minmin Xue Zhili Hu Ying Liu Huan Lu Zhuhua Zhang Jens Martin Qingjun Tong Wanlin Guo Yanpeng Liu 2024National Science Review2024,11,2:0
9An in-situ spectroscopy investigation of alkali metal interaction mechanism with the imide functional group显示文摘Organic anode materials have attracted considerable interest owing to their high tunability by adopting various active functional groups.However,the interaction mechanisms between the alkali metals and the active functional groups in host materials have been rarely studied systematically.Here,a widely used organic semiconductor of perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic diimide(PTCDI)was selected as a model system to investigate how alkali metals interact with imide functional groups and induce changes in chemical and electronic structures of PTCDI.The interaction at the alkali/PTCDI interface was probed by in-situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy(UPS),synchrotron-based near edge X-ray absorption fine structure(NEXAFS),and corroborated by density functional theory(DFT)calculations.Our results indicate that the alkali metal replaces the hydrogen atoms in the imide group and interact with the imide nitrogen of PTCDI.Electron transfer induced gap states and downward band-bending like effects are identified on the alkali-deposited PTCDI surface.It was found that Na shows a stronger electron transfer effect than Li.Such a model study of alkali insertion/intercalation in PTCDI gives insights for the exploration of the potential host materials for alkali storage applications.Xu Lian Zhirui Ma Zhonghan Zhang Jinlin Yang Shuo Sun Chengding Gu Yuan Liu Honghe Ding Jun Hu Xu Cao Junfa Zhu Shuzhou Li Wei Chen 2020Nano Research2020,13,12:0
10N-Heterocycles Extended π-Conjugation Enables Ultrahigh Capacity,Long-Lived,and Fast-Charging Organic Cathodes for Aqueous Zinc Batteries显示文摘The aqueous zinc-organic battery is a promising candidate for large-scale energy storage.However,the rational design of advanced organic cathodes with high capacity,long lifespan,and high rate capability remains a big challenge.Herein,we propose that extending theπ-conjugation by N-heterocycles can provide more active sites,lead to insolubility,and facilitate charge transfer,thus boosting the overall electrochemical performance of organic electrodes.Based on this concept,a novel organic compound,dipyrido[3ʹ,2ʹ:5,6;2″,3″:7,8]quinoxalino[2,3-i]dipyrido[3,2-a:2ʹ,3ʹ-c]phenazine-10,21-dione(DQDPD),has been rationally designed and evaluated as the cathode for aqueous zinc batteries.Excitingly,DQDPD shows a record high capacity(509 mAh g^(−1) at 0.1 A g^(−1),corresponding to a record-breaking energy density of 348 Wh kg^(−1)),excellent cycling stability(92%capacity retention after 7500 cycles at 10 A g^(−1)),and fast-charging capability(161 mAh g^(−1) at 20 A g^(−1)).Our work offers new ideas in the molecular engineering of organic electrodes for high-performance rechargeable batteries.Huiling Peng Jin Xiao Zhonghan Wu Lei Zhang Yaheng Geng Wenli Xin Junwei Li Zichao Yan Kai Zhang Zhiqiang Zhu 2023CCS Chemistry2023,5,8:0
11Feature Fusion Based Hand Gesture Recognition Method for Automotive Interfaces显示文摘Hand gesture recognition on the depth videos is a promising approach for automotive interfaces because it is less sensitive to light variation and more accurate than other traditional methods.However,video gestures recognition is still a challenging task since lots of interferences are induced by the uncorrelated gesture factors.Considering that if the displays are more relevant,the results will more accurate,so ResNext,a kind of compact and efficient neural network,is firstly used as feature extractor,then an improved weighted frame unification method is adopted to obtain the key frame samples,finally the Discriminant correlation analysis(DCA)is employed to fuse features for static data and dynamic data after conducting Feature embedding branch(FEB)on static data.The public dataset named Depth based gesture recognition database(DGRD)is used in this paper,but the dataset is a little small and the class distribution is largely imbalance,and we find the performance of ResNext degrades badly in the condition of imbalance problem although it achieves excellent result at sufficient training data.In order to conquer the disadvantages of limited dataset,a special loss function scheme combining the softmax loss and dice loss is proposed.Evaluation of the algorithm performances in comparison with other state-of-the-art methods indicates that the proposed method is more practical for gesture recognition and may be widely adopted by automotive interfaces.XU Qianyi QIN Guihe SUN Minghui YAN Jie JIANG Huiming ZHANG Zhonghan 2020Chinese Journal of Electronics2020,29,6:0
12Nanoparticle(NP)-mediated APOC1 silencing to inhibit MAPK/ERK and NF-κB pathway and suppress breast cancer growth and metastasis显示文摘Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors with high mortality and poor prognosis in women.There is an urgent need to discover new therapeutic targets for breast cancer metastasis.Herein,we identified that Apolipoprotein C1(APOC1)was up-regulated in primary tumor of breast cancer patient that recurrence and metastasis by immunohistochemistry(IHC).Kaplan-Meier Plotter database showed that high levels of APOC1 in breast cancer patients were strongly associated with worse overall survival(OS)and relapse-free survival(RFS).Mechanistically,APOC1 silencing significantly inhibits MAPK/ERK kinase pathway and restrains the NF-κB to decrease the transcription of target genes related to growth and metastasis in vitro.Based on this regulatory mechanism,we developed these findings into potential therapeutic drugs,glutathione(GSH)responsive nanoparticles(NPs)were used for systemic APOC1 siRNA delivery,NPs(siAPOC1)silenced APOC1 expression,and subsequently resulted in positive anti-tumor effects in orthotopic and liver metastasis models in vivo.Taken together,GSH responsive NPmediated siAPOC1 delivery was proved to be effective in regulating growth and metastasis in multiple tumor models.These findings show that APOC1 could be a potential biomarker to predict the prognosis of breast cancer patients and NP-mediated APOC1 silencing could be new strategies for exploration of new treatments for breast cancer metastasis.Shaomin Liu Fengqian Zhang Yixia Liang Guo Wu Rong Liu Xiuling Li Phei Er Saw Zhonghan Yang 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,11:0
