1A novel numerical method for infinite domain potential problems显示文摘The infinite domain potential problems arise in many branches of scientific and engineering fields, which by now still pose a great challenge to scientific computing community.This study proposes a novel meshless singular boundary method (SBM) to solve infinite domain potential problems.The SBM is mathematically simple, easy-to-program, meshless and integration-free.To guar-antee the uniqueness of numerical solutions, this article adds a constant term into the SBM approximate representation.The effi-ciency and accuracy of the proposed technique are tested to the three infinite domain potential problems.CHEN Wen FU ZhuoJia 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,16:9

6N6-methyladenosine facilitates mitochondrial fusion of colorectal cancer cells via induction of GSH synthesis and stabilization of OPA1 mRNA显示文摘Mitochondria undergo fission and fusion that are critical for cell survival and cancer development,while the regulatory factors for mitochondrial dynamics remain elusive.Herein we found that RNA m^(6)A accelerated mitochondria fusion of colorectal cancer(CRC)cells.Metabolomics analysis and function studies indicated that m^(6)A triggered the generation of glutathione(GSH)via the upregulation of RRM2B-a p53-inducible ribonucleotide reductase subunit with anti-reactive oxygen species potential.This in turn resulted in the mitochondria fusion of CRC cells.Mechanistically,m^(6)A methylation of A1240 at 3'UTR of RRM2B increased its mRNA stability via binding with IGF2BP2.Similarly,m^(6)A methylation of A2212 at the coding sequence(CDS)of OPA1-an essential GTPase protein for mitochondrial inner membrane fusion-also increased mRNA stability and triggered mitochondria fusion.Targeting m^(6)A through the methyltransferase inhibitor STM2457 or the dm^(6)ACRISPR system significantly suppressed mitochondria fusion.In vivo and clinical data confirmed the positive roles of the m^(6)A/mitochondrial dynamics in tumor growth and CRC progression.Collectively,m^(6)A promoted mitochondria fusion via induction of GSH synthesis and OPA1 expression,which facilitated cancer cell growth and CRC development.Jiawang Zhou Haisheng Zhang Ke Zhong Lijun Tao Yu Lin Guoyou Xie Yonghuang Tan You Wu Yunqing Lu Zhuojia Chen Jiexin Li Xin Deng Qin Peng Zigang Li Hongsheng Wang 2024National Science Review2024,11,3:0
7A Truly Boundary-Only Meshfree Method Applied to Kirchhoff Plate Bending Problems显示文摘The boundary particle method(BPM)is a truly boundary-only collocation scheme,whose basis function is the high-order nonsingular general solution or singular fundamental solution,based on the recursive composite multiple reciprocity method(RC-MRM).The RC-MRM employs the high-order composite differential operator to solve a much wider variety of inhomogeneous problems with boundary-only collocation nodes while significantly reducing computational cost via a recursive algorithm.In this study,we simulate the Kirchhoff plate bending problems by the BPM based on the RC-MRM.Numerical results show that this approach produces accurate solutions of plates subjected to various loadings with boundary-only discretization.Zhuojia Fu Wen Chen 2009Advances in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics2009,1,3:0

9Chiral Cu_(x)Co_(y)S Supraparticles Ameliorate Parkinson’s Disease显示文摘Protein aggregation causes alpha-synuclein(α-syn)to change from its original physiological role to a pathological state,which is a potential pathogenic mechanism in Parkinson’s disease(PD).Chiral _(L/D)-Cu_(x)Co_(y)S supraparticles(_(L/D)-SPs)with a circular dichroism value of 35 mdeg at 805 nm were fabricated using a simple wet-chemical method.The _(L/D)-SPs prevented the α-syn monomers from forming fibrils and triggered the α-syn fibrils to turn into monomers under 808 nm near-infrared(NIR)light.In living MN9D cells,D-SPs reduced cellular damage,neuronal functional deficits,and neuron loss caused by α-syn fibrils after NIR spectroscopy treatment within 10 min to prevent α-syn aggregation.Significantly,the reactive oxygen species produced by _(D)-SPs were 1.42 times higher than those produced by _(L)-SPs.In vivo experiments showed that _(D)-SPs had a protective effect on neuron damage caused by α-syn aggregate deposition,reduced the symptoms in a mouse model of PD,and restored cognitive ability.After NIR light treatment,the amount of α-syn in a mouse model of PD decreased by more than 67.5%.At the same time,_(D)-SPs gradually decomposed into small nanoparticleswithin 60 days and were excreted through the blood-brain barrier.This discovery paves theway for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases using chiral SPs under NIR light irradiation.Baimei Shi Aihua Qu Weiwei Wang Meiru Lu Zhuojia Xu Chen Chen Changlong Hao Maozhong Sun Liguang Xu Chuanlai Xu Hua Kuang 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,7:0
