1Characterization of refuse landfill leachates of three different stages in landfill stabilization process显示文摘Landfill leachates with different ages(mature leachate,11 years;semi-mature leachate,5 years;fresh leachate,under operation) were collected from Laogang Refuse Landfill,Shanghai to characterize the colloid size distribution and variations of leachate.These leachates were separated using micro-filtration and ultra-filtration into specific size fractions,i.e.,suspended particles(SP)(>1.2μm) ,coarse colloids(CC)(1.2-0.45μm) ,fine colloids(FC)(0.45μm,5 kDa/1 kDa molecular weight(MW) ) ,and dissolved organic matters(DM,<5 kDa/1 kDa MW) .The specific colloids in each size fraction were quantified and characterized through chemical oxygen demands(COD) ,total solid(TS) ,pH,NH4+-N,total organic carbon(TOC) and fixed solid(FS) .It was found that COD,NH4+-N and TS in leachate decreased significantly over ages,while pH increased.The dissolved fractions(<5 kDa/1 kDa) dominated(over 50%) in three leachates in terms of COD,and the organic matter content in dissolved fraction of leachates decreased and the inorganic matter increased as the disposal time extended,with the TOC/COD ratio 30%-7%.Dissolved fractions decreased from 82%to 40%in terms of TOC as the disposal time extended,suggested that the organic matter remained in leachate would form into middle molecular weight substances during the degradation process.LOU Ziyang DONG Bin CHAI Xiaoli SONG Yu ZHAO Youcai ZHU Nanwen 2009Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,9:9
2Rate compatible reconciliation for continuous-variable quantum key distribution using Raptor-like LDPC codes显示文摘In the practical continuous-variable quantum key distribution(CV-QKD)system,the postprocessing process,particularly the error correction part,significantly impacts the system performance.Multi-edge type low-density parity-check(MET-LDPC)codes are suitable for CV-QKD systems because of their Shannon-limit-approaching performance at a low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR).However,the process of designing a low-rate MET-LDPC code with good performance is extremely complicated.Thus,we introduce Raptor-like LDPC(RL-LDPC)codes into the CV-QKD system,exhibiting both the rate compatible property of the Raptor code and capacity-approaching performance of MET-LDPC codes.Moreover,this technique can significantly reduce the cost of constructing a new matrix.We design the RL-LDPC matrix with a code rate of 0.02 and easily and effectively adjust this rate from 0.016 to 0.034.Simulation results show that we can achieve more than 98%reconciliation efficiency in a range of code rate variation using only one RL-LDPC code that can support high-speed decoding with an SNR less than-16.45 d B.This code allows the system to maintain a high key extraction rate under various SNRs,paving the way for practical applications of CV-QKD systems with different transmission distances.Chao Zhou Xiang Yu Wang ZhiGuo Zhang Song Yu ZiYang Chen Hong Guo 2021Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,6:2
3Microstructure and Properties of M40 Carbon Fibre Reinforced Mg-Re-Zr Alloy Composites显示文摘M40 carbon fibre reinforced rare earth magnesium alloy ZM6 composites with fibre volume fraction about 60% were fabricated by pressure infiltration method. The microstructure, interfacial morphology, and precipitation were studied by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer. It was shown that the interfaces between Mg alloy and fibres were well bonded and free from cracks. The Mg12Nd phase was preferentially precipitated at the fibre/matrix interfaces, leading to the segregation of Nd at the interfaces and the dramatic decrease of Mg12Nd precipitation in the matrix far from interfaces. Crystal defects such as high-density dislocations and twins were observed in the matrix near the fibre/matrix interface. 4LINC00891 regulated by miR-128-3p/GATA2 axis impedes lung cancer cell proliferation,invasion and EMT by inhibiting RhoA pathway显示文摘Long non-coding RNA(lncRNA)LINC00891 knockdown is associated with poor prognosis of lung adenocarcinoma,but the underlying mechanism remains to be further explored.Here,we found that LINC00891 expression is downregulated in lung cancer tissues and cell lines compared with that in adjacent normal tissues and normal lung epithelial cells.LINC00891 overexpression impedes cell proliferation,invasion,migration and epithelial-to-me-senchymal transition(EMT)process in lung cancer cells.Mechanistic research showed that GATA2 directly binds to LINC00891 promoter and transcriptionally regulates LINC00891 expression.Meanwhile,GATA2 was identified as a target of miR-128-3p,and it is negatively regulated by miR-128-3p.Moreover,overexpression of GATA2 suppresses lung cancer cell proliferation,invasion,migration,and EMT process.Furthermore,LINC00891 restrains the RhoA pathway activity,and treatment with CCG-1423(a specific RhoA pathway inhibitor)antagonizes the promoting effect of LINC00891 knockdown on cell malignant behaviors.Additionally,silencing of LINC00891 promotes xenograft tumor growth,which can be reversed by administration with CCG-1423.In summary,LINC00891 regulated by the miR-128-3p/GATA2 axis restrains lung cancer cell malignant progression and hinders xenograft tumor growth by suppressing the RhoA pathway.Yunfeng Zhang Dingli Song Ziyang Peng Rui Wang Kai Li Hong Ren Xin Sun Ning Du Shou-Ching Tang 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,3:2
5Trapping precursor-level functionalities in hierarchically porous carbons prepared by a pre-stabilization route for superior supercapacitors显示文摘Versatile module design of precursor networks enables flexible functionalization of nano-carbon electrode materials to meet the adaptable energy-storage demand. Functionalized heterogeneous networks are more likely to decompose by swift temperature programming together with predesign module removal, so high functionality/network transfer from precursor to carbon is still a work in progress. A pre-stabilization route is proposed here to enhance the network strength at early pyrolysis and pin up precursor-level functionalities on the final carbon. Such strategy successfully fixes more electroactive N(4.28-8.86 wt%) into the resultant carbon microspheres compared with non-pretreated carbon(2.89wt%), as well as achieves broad ion-accessible platforms of 1575-2269 m^(2)/g with preset structural superiorities. As a result, a typical acidic device reveals an outstanding specific capacitance of 383 F/g at 10 mV/s. Taking advantage of a novel LiNO_(3)-PAM polymer electrolyte, the upgraded symmetric device displays the maximum specific capacitance of 229 F/g, along with a boosted energy density of 41.1 Wh/kg at 643.4 W/kg. 7Electrosynthesis of ^(15)N-labeled amino acids from ^(15)N-nitrite and ketonic acids显示文摘^(15)N isotope-labeled amino acids(^(15)N-amino acids)are crucial in the fields of biology,medicine,and chemistry.^(15)N-amino acids are conventionally synthesized through microbial fermentation and chemical reductive amination of ketonic acids methodologies,which usually require complicated procedures,high temperatures,or toxic cyanide usage,causing energy and environmental concerns.Here,we report a sustainable pathway to synthesize ^(15)N-amino acids from readily available ^(15)N-nitrite(^(15)NO_(2)-)and biomass-derived ketonic acids under ambient conditions driven by renewable electricity.A mechanistic study demonstrates a ^(15)N-nitrite→^(15)NH_(2)OH→^(15)N-pyruvate oxime→^(15)N-alanine reaction pathway for ^(15)N-alanine synthesis.Moreover,this electrochemical strategy can synthesize six ^(15)N-amino acids with 68%–95%yields.Furthermore,a ^(15)N-labeled drug of ^(15)N-tiopronin,the most commonly used hepatitis treatment drug,is fabricated using ^(15)N-glycine as the building block.Impressively,^(15)N sources can be recycled by the electrooxidation of ^(15)NH4^(+) to ^(15)NO_(2)-with a method economy.This work opens an avenue for the green synthesis of ^(15)N-labeled compounds or drugs.Yongmeng Wu Mengyang Li Tieliang Li Jinghui Zhao Ziyang Song Bin Zhang 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,6:0

10Bridge Crack Segmentation Method Based on Parallel Attention Mechanism and Multi-Scale Features Fusion显示文摘Regular inspection of bridge cracks is crucial to bridge maintenance and repair.The traditional manual crack detection methods are timeconsuming,dangerous and subjective.At the same time,for the existing mainstream vision-based automatic crack detection algorithms,it is challenging to detect fine cracks and balance the detection accuracy and speed.Therefore,this paper proposes a new bridge crack segmentationmethod based on parallel attention mechanism and multi-scale features fusion on top of the DeeplabV3+network framework.First,the improved lightweight MobileNetv2 network and dilated separable convolution are integrated into the original DeeplabV3+network to improve the original backbone network Xception and atrous spatial pyramid pooling(ASPP)module,respectively,dramatically reducing the number of parameters in the network and accelerates the training and prediction speed of the model.Moreover,we introduce the parallel attention mechanism into the encoding and decoding stages.The attention to the crack regions can be enhanced from the aspects of both channel and spatial parts and significantly suppress the interference of various noises.Finally,we further improve the detection performance of the model for fine cracks by introducing a multi-scale features fusion module.Our research results are validated on the self-made dataset.The experiments show that our method is more accurate than other methods.Its intersection of union(IoU)and F1-score(F1)are increased to 77.96%and 87.57%,respectively.In addition,the number of parameters is only 4.10M,which is much smaller than the original network;also,the frames per second(FPS)is increased to 15 frames/s.The results prove that the proposed method fits well the requirements of rapid and accurate detection of bridge cracks and is superior to other methods.Jianwei Yuan Xinli Song Huaijian Pu Zhixiong Zheng Ziyang Niu 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,3:0

12Differences in CO_(2)-Water-Rock Chemical Reactions among ’Sweet Spot’ Reservoirs:Implications for Carbon Sequestration显示文摘The Lucaogou Formation,located in the Jimsar Sag,Junggar Basin,NW China,has great potential for shale oil resources.In the process of CO_(2)-EOR(CO_(2) enhance oil recovery),mineral dissolution,precipitation and transformation,leading to the local corrosion or blockage of reservoirs,have a significant influence on recovery.In this study,a combination of high-temperature and high-pressure laboratory experiments and coupled temperature/fluid-chemistry multifield numerical simulations are used to investigate CO_(2)-water-rock reactions under various reservoir conditions in the upper and lower ’sweet spots’,to reveal the mechanisms underlying CO_(2)-induced mineral dissolution,precipitation and transformation.In addition,we quantitatively calculated the evolution of porosity over geological timescales;compared and analyzed the variability of CO_(2) transformation in the reservoir under a variety of temperature,lithology and solution conditions;and identified the main factors controlling CO_(2)-water-rock reactions,the types of mineral transformation occurring during long-term CO_(2) sequestration and effective carbon sequestration minerals.The results demonstrate that the main minerals undergoing dissolution under the influence of supercritical CO_(2) are feldspars,while the main minerals undergoing precipitation include carbonate rock minerals,clay minerals and quartz.Feldspar minerals,especially the initially abundant plagioclase in the formation,directly affects total carbon sequestration,feldspar-rich clastic rocks therefore having considerable sequestration potential.YANG Leilei SONG Ziyang LIU Yi WEI Guo ZHANG Xing MO Chenchen FENG Bo LI Yaohua 2023Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2023,97,3:0

14Time interval measurement with linear optical sampling at the femtosecond level显示文摘High-precision time interval measurement is a fundamental technique in many advanced applications,including time and distance metrology,particle physics,and ultra-precision machining.However,many of these applications are confined by the imprecise time interval measurement of electrical signals,restricting the performance of the ultimate system to a few picoseconds,which limits ultrahigh precision applications.Here,we demonstrate an optical means for the time interval measurement of electrical signals that can successfully achieve femtosecond(fs)level precision.The setup is established using the optical frequency comb(OFC)based linear optical sampling(LOS)technique to realize timescale-stretched measurement.We achieve a measurement precision of 82 fs for a single LOS scan measurement and 3.05 fs for the 100-times average with post-processing,which is three orders of magnitude higher than the results of older electrical methods.The high-precision time interval measurement of electrical signals can substantially improve precision measurement technologies.DONGRUI YU ZIYANG CHEN XUAN YANG YUNLONG XU ZIYI JIN PANXUE MA YUFEI ZHANG SONG YU BIN LUO HONG GUO 2023Photonics Research2023,11,12:0
15Cryo-EM structures of human organic anion transporting polypeptide OATP1B1显示文摘Members of the solute carrier organic anion transporting polypeptide(OATPs)family function as transporters for a large variety of amphipathic organic anions including endogenous metabolites and clinical drugs,such as bile salts,steroids,thyroid hormones,statins,antibiotics,antivirals,and anticancer drugs.OATP1B1 plays a vital role in transporting such substances into the liver for hepatic clearance.FDA and EMA recommend conducting in vitro testing of drug–drug interactions(DDIs)involving OATP1B1.However,the structure and working mechanism of OATPs still remains elusive.In this study,we determined cryo-EM structures of human OATP1B1 bound with representative endogenous metabolites(bilirubin and estrone-3-sulfate),a clinical drug(simeprevir),and a fluorescent indicator(2′,7′-dichlorofluorescein),in both outward-and inward-open states.These structures reveal major and minor substrate binding pockets and conformational changes during transport.In combination with mutagenesis studies and molecular dynamics simulations,our work comprehensively elucidates the transport mechanism of OATP1B1 and provides the structural basis for DDI predictions involving OATP1B1,which will greatly promote our understanding of OATPs.Ziyang Shan Xuemei Yang Huihui Liu Yafei Yuan Yuan Xiao Jing Nan Wei Zhang Wenqi Song Jufang Wang Feiwen Wei Yanqing Zhang 2023Cell Research2023,33,12:0
16Incorporating element doping and quantum dot embedding effects to enhance the thermoelectric properties of higher manganese silicides显示文摘Element doping and nano-inclusion embedding are effective approaches to enhance the electrical conductivities and decrease the lattice thermal conductivities of thermoelectric(TE)materials,respectively.However,the intrinsic low electrical thermal conductivities and high electrical properties are severely sacrificed,and the final figure of merit(ZT)is usually restricted.In this study,Ag doping and Pt quantum dot(QD)embedding were synchronously achieved via embedding Ag/Pt alloy QDs into the higher manganese silicides to avoid the conventional single-element doping strategy.The power factor(at 823 K)was enhanced from 1.57×10^(-3) W m^(-1) K^(-2) to 1.82×10^(-3) W m^(-1) K^(-2)(-16%)due to the-18%increase in carrier concentration that was derived from the Ag doping effect.Simultaneously,the lattice thermal conductivity(at 823 K)decreased from 2.65 W m^(-1) K^(-1) e1.92 W m^(-1) K^(-1)(-28%)because of the broadband phonon scattering effect that resulted from the residual Pt QDs inclusions.Synthetically,the optimal ZT value increased by-52%from 0.42 to 0.64 at 823 K.This study demonstrated that incorporating metastable alloy QDs to obtain element doping and nano-inclusion embedding effects is a novel and feasible means to enhance the ZT value of HMS.This method is also possibly applicable to other alloy QD/TE composites.Qing Wang Shiyu Song Xiaofeng Yang Ziyang Liu Yufei Ma Xingyuan San Jianglong Wang Dan Zhang Shu-Fang Wang Zhiliang Li 2021Journal of Materiomics2021,7,2:0
17The acceleration degradation processes of different aged refuses with the forced aeration for landfill reclamation显示文摘Forced aeration is one of the promising ways to accelerate landfill reclamation,and understanding the relation between aeration rates and waste properties is the prerequisite to implementing forced aeration under the target of energy saving and carbon reduction.In this work,landfill reclamation processes with forced aeration were simulated using aged refuses(ARs)of 1,4,7,10,and 13 disposal years,and the potential of field application was also investigated based on a field project,to identify the degradation rate of organic components,the O_(2)consumption efficiency and their correlations to microbes.It was found that the removal rate of organic matter declined from 20.3%(AR_(1))to 12.6%(AR_(13)),and that biodegradable matter(BDM)decreased from 5.2%to 2.4%at the set aeration rate of 0.12 L O_(2)/kg waste(Dry Matter,DM)/day.A linear relationship between the degradation rate constant(K)of BDM and disposal age(x)was established:K=−0.0002193x+0.0091(R^(2)=0.854),suggesting that BDM might be a suitable indicator to reflect the stabilization of ARs.The cellulose/lignin ratio decrease rate for AR1(18.3%)was much higher than that for AR13(3.1%),while the corresponding humic-acid/fulvic-acid ratio increased from 1.44 to 2.16.The dominant bacteria shifted from Corynebacterium(9.2%),Acinetobacter(6.6%),and Fermentimonas(6.5%),genes related to the decompose of biodegradable organics,to Stenotrophomonas(10.2%)and Clostridiales(3.7%),which were associated with humification.The aeration efficiencies of lab-scale tests were in the range of 5.4–11.8 g BDM/L O_(2)for ARs with disposal ages of 1–13 years,and in situ landfill reclamation,ARs with disposal ages of 10–18 years were around 1.9–8.8 g BDM/L O_(2),as the disposal age decreased.The increased discrepancy was observed in ARs at the lab-scale and field scale,indicating that the forced aeration rate should be adjusted based on ARs and the unit compartment combined,to reduce the operation cost.Yihang Liu Chengqi Ning Qiujie Huang Zhaowen Cheng Weihua Cao Xianghui Wang Changfu Yang Hui Liu Jia Song Luochun Wang Ziyang Lou 2023Waste Disposal and Sustainable Energy2023,5,3:0
18Alkaline hydrogen production promoted by small-molecule modification on flowerlike Co_(2)(OH)_(2)CO_(3)显示文摘Developing a low-cost and high-efficiency nonprecious metal-based catalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) is of great significance for the utilization of hydrogen energy.In this work,we report a molecular-modification strategy to fabricate a self-supported hydrogen evolution electrode,specially by grafting the macrocyclic molecules(HHTP=2,3,6,7,10,11-hexahydroxytriphenylene) on the surface of a cobaltous dihydroxy carbonate(COC) seed layer.The HHTP-COC electrode is endowed with a rodlike structure,which provides favorable access for charge transportation and mass exchange.The macrocyclic molecule structure in HHTP can be grafted on COC and improve the electrical conductivity,while the interaction between HHTP and COC induces the rearrangement of charge configuration on the surface.Due to the combination effects of several aspects,the HHTP-COC electrode achieves astonishing HER activity,with a low overpotential of 61.0 mV(η_(10),at the current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)) and excellent stability in alkaline condition.This kind of interface engineering based on the organic molecules can be applied to the design and manufacture of electrocatalysts in the field of energy conversion and storage.Yue Liu Huan Zhang Chen Yang Ziyang Xu Yiyang Shi Xukun Zhu Xinde Duan Ling Qin Yachao Jin Li Song Mingdao Zhang Hegen Zheng 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,9:0
19Tunable quantum dots in monolithic Fabry-Perot microcavities for high-performance single-photon sources显示文摘Cavity-enhanced single quantum dots(QDs)are the main approach towards ultra-high-performance solid-state quantum light sources for scalable photonic quantum technologies.Nevertheless,harnessing the Purcell effect requires precise spectral and spatial alignment of the QDs’emission with the cavity mode,which is challenging for most cavities.Here we have successfully integrated miniaturized Fabry-Perot microcavities with a piezoelectric actuator,and demonstrated a bright single-photon source derived from a deterministically coupled QD within this microcavity.Leveraging the cavity-membrane structures,we have achieved large spectral tunability via strain tuning.On resonance,a high Purcell factor of~9 is attained.The source delivers single photons with simultaneous high extraction efficiency of 0.58,high purity of 0.956(2)and high indistinguishability of 0.922(4).Together with its compact footprint,our scheme facilitates the scalable integration of indistinguishable quantum light sources on-chip,therefore removing a major barrier to the development of solid-state quantum information platforms based on QDs.Jiawei Yang Yan Chen Zhixuan Rao Ziyang Zheng Changkun Song Yujie Chen Kaili Xiong Pingxing Chen Chaofan Zhang Wei Wu Ying Yu Siyuan Yu 2024Light(Science & Applications)2024,13,2:0
20The investigation of electrical properties and microstructure of ZnO-doped Ba_(0.9)Sr_(0.1)TiO_(3)ceramics显示文摘Ba_(0.9)Sr_(0.1)TiO_(3) ceramics with or without ZnO have been prepared by traditional solid state reaction method.The XRD analysis showed that the doped Zn^(2+) ions diffused into the BST crystal lattice,resulting in the variation of dielectric properties.Especially the dielectric constant at Curie point decreased with doping ZnO content when it is lower than 0.5 mol%.Due to the promotion of sintering,doping ZnO can enhance the density of ceramics but increase grain size.However,ZnO is a kind of semiconductor and can lead to the decrease in electrical breakdown strength value.Gang Liu Wentao Jiang Jingyong Jiao Li Liu Ziyang Wang Jing Cai Wenting Luo Chunlin Song 2017Journal of Advanced Dielectrics2017,7,1:0
