| 4 | Molecular mechanisms governing plant responses to high temperatures显示文摘The increased prevalence of high temperatures(HTs) around the world is a major global concern, as they dramatically affect agronomic productivity. Upon HT exposure, plants sense the temperature change and initiate cellular and metabolic responses that enable them to adapt to their new environmental conditions.Decoding the mechanisms by which plants cope with HT will facilitate the development of molecular markers to enable the production of plants with improved thermotolerance. In recent decades, genetic, physiological, molecular, and biochemical studies have revealed a number of vital cellular components and processes involved in thermoresponsive growth and the acquisition of thermotolerance in plants. | 7 | Effect of electro-acupuncture combined with psychological intervention on mental symptoms and P50 of auditory evoked potential in patients with internet addiction disorder显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe the therapeutic effects of electro-acupuncture(EA) combined with psychological intervention on the symptom of somzatization or obsession and mental symptom of depression or anxiety and P50 of Auditory Evoked Potential(AEP) on internet addiction disorder(IAD).METHODS: One hundred and twenty cases of IAD were randomly divided into an EA group, a psycho-intervention(PI) group and a comprehensive therapy(EA plus PI) group. Patients in the EA group were treated with EA. Patients in the PI group were treated with cognition and behavior therapy. Patients in the EA plus PI group were treated with electro-acupuncture plus psychological intervention. Scores of IAD, scores of the symptom checklist90(SCL-90), latency and amplitude of P50 of AEP were measured before and after treatment.RESULTS: The scores of IAD after treatment significantly decreased in all groups(P < 0.05), and thescores of IAD in the EA plus PI group were significantly lower than those in the other two groups(P < 0.05). The scores of SCL-90 assembled and each factor after treatment in the EA plus PI group significantly decreased(P < 0.05). | 8 | Synthesis of hexaaluminate catalysts for methane combustion by reverse microemulsion medium显示文摘The aim of this study is to synthesize the catalysts of Fe-and Mn-substituted hexaaluminate by reverse microemulsion medium for methane catalytic combustion application.Pseudo-ternary phase diagrams in quaternary microemulsion systems of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB),n-butanol,n-octane,and water [or Al(NO3)3 solution] were presented.The effects of the alcohol chain length,ratio of sur-factant to cosurfactant,and salt concentration on the formation and stability of microemulsion systems were studied.The phase behavior of microemulsion systems was confirmed through the varying of the conductivity with the water content.The performance and structure of the catalysts,La(Mnx/Fex)Al12-x-O19-δ synthesized with the optimal parameter in the phase diagrams of microemulsions systems were characterized by BET,TG-DTA,and XRD.The micro fix-bed reactor was used to measure the catalytic activities of catalysts to methane combustion.The results showed that this synthesis method could yield non-agglomerated and highly dispersed precursors that would undergo crystallization at the lower temperature of 950℃.When temperature was raised up to 1050℃,the complete crystalline La-hexaaluminate was shaped.The hexaaluminate substituted with Fe had high-catalytic activity and stability at high temperature,while the Mn-substituted had higher catalytic activity at lower temperature.When the cooperation of Fe and Mn occurred,i.e.,LaFeMnAl10O19-δ exhibited a high surface area and catalytic activity to CH4 combustion,the CH4 light-off temperature was only 475℃ and the complete combustion temperature was 660℃.This was attributed to the synergistic effect between Fe and Mn. | BAI ShouLi WANG LiangShi SHI BingJie YANG PengCheng CUI MeiSheng LONG ZhiQi LI DianQing CHEN AiFan | 2009 | Science China Chemistry2009,52,1: | 6 |
| 9 | Melatonin enhances radiofrequency-induced NK antitumor immunity,causing cancer metabolism reprogramming and inhibition of multiple pulmonary tumor development显示文摘Surgery is the comm on treatme nt for early lung cancer with multiple pulm onary no dules,but it is often accompanied by the problem of significant malignancy of other nodules in non-therapeutic areas.In this study,we found that a combined treatment of local rad iofreq ue ncy ablati on(RFA)and melatonin(MLT)greatly improved clinical outcomes for early lung cancer patie nts with multiple pulmonary nodules by minimizing lung function injury and reducing the probability of malignant transformation or enlargement of nodules in non-ablated areas.Mechanically,as demonstrated in an associated mouse lung tumor model,RFA not only effectively remove treated tumors but also stimulate antitumor immunity,which could inhibit tumor growth in non-ablated areas.MLT enhanced RFA-stimulated NK activity and exerted synergistic antitumor effects with RFA.Transcriptomics and proteomics analyses of residual tumor tissues revealed enhanced oxidative phosphorylation and reduced acidification as well as hypoxia in the tumor microenvironment,which suggests reprogrammed tumor metabolism after combined treatment with RFA and MLT.Analysis of residual tumor further revealed the depressed activity of MAPK,NF-kappa B,Wnt,and Hedgehog pathways and upregulated P53 pathway in tumors,which was in line with the inhibited tumor growth.Combined RFA and MLT treatment also reversed the Warburg effect and decreased tumor malignancy.These findings thus demonstrated that combined treatment of RFA and MLT effectively inhibited the malignancy of non-ablated nodules and provided an innovative non-invasive strategy for treating early lung tumors with multiple pulmonary nodules.Trial registration:www.chictr.org.cn,identifier ChiCTR2100042695,http://www.chictr.org.cn/showproj.aspx?proj=120931. | Ming Li Bingjie Hao Menghuan Zhang Russel J.Reiter Shumeng Lin Tiansheng Zheng Xiangyun Chen Yanbei Ren Liduo Yue Baigenzhin Abay Guojie Chen Xiao Xu Yufeng Shi Lihong Fan | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,10: | 6 |
| 10 | Screen efficiency comparisons of decision tree and neural network algorithms in machine learning assisted drug design显示文摘In view of huge search space in drug design, machine learning has become a powerful method to predict the affinity between small molecular drug and targeting protein with the development of artificial intelligence technology. However, various machine learning algorithms including massive different parameters make the prediction framework choice to be quite difficult. In this work, we took a recent drug design competition(from XtalPi company on the DataCastle platform) as the typical case to find the optimized parameters for different machines learning algorithms and the most effective algorithm. After the parameter optimizations, we compared the typical machine learning methods as decision tree(XGBoost, LightGBM) and artificial neural network(MLP, CNN) with root-mean-square error(RMSE) and coefficient of determination(R^2) evaluation. As a result, decision tree is more effective than the neural network as LightGBM>XGBoost>CNN>MLP in the affinity prediction of the specific drug design problem with ~160000 samples. For a much larger screening task in a more complicated drug design study, the sophisticated neural network model may go beyond the decision tree algorithm after generalization enhancing and overfitting reducing. | 11 | The blue light receptor CRY1 interacts with GID1 and DELLA proteins to repress GA signaling during photomorphogenesis in Arabidopsis显示文摘Light is a critical environmental cue that regulates a variety of diverse plant developmental processes.Cryptochrome 1(CRY1)is the major photoreceptor that mediates blue light-dependent photomorphogenic responses such as the inhibition of hypocotyl elongation.Gibberellin(GA)participates in the repression of photomorphogenesis and promotes hypocotyl elongation.However,the antagonistic interaction between blue light and GA is not well understood.Here,we report that blue light represses GA-induced degradation of the DELLA proteins(DELLAs),which are key negative regulators in the GA signaling pathway,via CRY1,thereby inhibiting the GA response during hypocotyl elongation.Both in vitro and in vivo biochemical analyses demonstrated that CRY1 physically interacts with GA receptors-GA-INSENSITIVE DWARF 1 proteins(GID1s)-and DELLAs in a blue light-dependent manner.Furthermore,we showed that CRY1 inhibits the association between GID1s and DELLAs.Genetically,CRY1 antagonizes the function of GID1s to repress the expression of cell elongation-related genes and thus hypocotyl elongation.Taken together,our findings demonstrate that CRY1 coordinates blue light and GA signali ng for plant photomorphogenesis by stabilizing DELLAs through the binding and in activation of GID1s,providing new in sights into the mechanism by which blue light antagonizes the function of GA in photomorphogenesis. | Ming Zhong Bingjie Zeng Dongying Tang Jiaxin Yang Lina Qu Jindong Yan Xiaochuan Wang Xin Li Xuanming Liu Xiaoying Zhao | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,8: | 3 |

| 15 | 17α-Ethinylestradiol removal from water by magnetic ion exchange resin显示文摘Magnetic ion exchange(MIEX) resins have received considerable attention in drinking water treatment due to their fast and efficient removal of dissolved organic carbon(DOC). Two types of mechanisms, i.e., ion exchange,reversible and irreversible adsorption, may occur during pollutants removal by MIEX. This work examined the removal mechanism of 17α-Ethinylestradiol(EE2) by MIEX. As one of typical estrogen micro-pollutants,EE2 existed as neutral molecule in natural water, and its charge density was close to zero [(0.00000219 ±0.00000015) meq·(μg EE2)^(-1)] based on the potentiometric titration method. However, the removal of EE2 by MIEX was much higher than that of other micro-pollutants previously reported. Multi-cycle adsorptionregeneration experiments and ion exchange stoichiometry analysis were conducted to elucidate the removal mechanism of EE2 by MIEX resin. The results suggested that the main removal mechanism of EE2 by MIEX was ion exchange instead of reversible micro-pore adsorption. The experimental analysis based on Donnan theory indicated that the internal micro-environment of resin beads was alkaline, in the alkaline environment EE2 would be ionized into negatively charged groups. In this work, under mild condition, through the electrostatic interaction between carbon nanodots(CDs) and organic molecules, two novel ratiometric fluorescence hybrid nanosensors were fabricated for sensing acidic p H. These nanohybrid systems possess dual emission peaks at 455 and 527 nm under a single excitation wavelength of 380 nm in acidic p H condition.With the increasing of p H, the fluorescence of the 1,8-naphthalimide derivative completely quenches,while the blue fluorescence of CDs keeps constant. Furthermore, the CDsàorganic molecular nanohybrids exhibit excellent anti-disturbance ability, reversible p H sensing ability, and a linear response range in wide p H range respectively. | 19 | Block Copolymer Networks Composed of Poly(ε-caprolactone) and Polyethylene with Triple Shape Memory Properties显示文摘In this contribution, we reported a novel synthesis of block copolymer networks composed of poly(ε-caprolactone)(PCL) and polyethylene(PE) via the co-hydrolysis and condensation of α,ω-ditriethoxylsilane-terminated PCL and PE telechelics. First, α,ω-dihydroxylterminated PCL and PE telechelics were synthesized via the ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone and the ring-opening metathesis polymerization of cyclooctene followed by hydrogenation of polycyclooctene. Both α,ω-ditriethoxylsilane-terminated PCL and PE telechelics were obtained via in situ reaction of α,ω-dihydroxyl-terminated PCL and PE telechelics with 3-isocyanatopropyltriethoxysilane. The formation of networks was evidenced by the solubility and rheological tests. It was found that the block copolymer networks were microphase-separated. The PCL and PE blocks still preserved the crystallinity. Owing to the formation of crosslinked networks, the materials displayed shape memory properties. More importantly, the combination of PCL with PE resulted that the block copolymer networks had the triple shape memory properties, which can be triggered with the melting and crystallization of PCL and PE blocks. | 20 | Physicochemical properties and biological activities of polysaccharides from the peel of Dioscorea opposita Thunb.extracted by four different methods显示文摘Polysaccharides are the important biologically active components found in the peel of Dioscorea opposita Thunb.(DTTP).The influences of 4 extraction methods,namely hot water extraction(W),acidic extraction(HA),hot-compressed water extraction(HCW)and enzyme-assisted extraction(EAE),on the yields,physicochemical properties,hypoglycemic and antioxidant activities of polysaccharides from DTTP were studied and compared.Among these DTTP polysaccharides,DTTP-HA was outstanding in several respects.DTTP-HA was the most water soluble;it had the highest total carbohydrate content(85.08%),the highest uronic acid(13.20%)and the highest thermal stability.DTTP-HA and DTTP-W possessed a triple-helix structure.These 4 kinds of polysaccharides have the same types of monosaccharides,but in different molar percentages.Extraction method had a significant impact on the microstructures of the extracted polysaccharides.DTT-HA exhibited irregular structure with many holes.Among the 4 extracted methods,the DTTP-HA and DTTP-W initially exhibited higher hypoglycemic and antioxidant activities.The better bioactivities of DTTP-HA may be related to the above factors.The findings indicated that acid extraction is an effective method to extract polysaccharides with high biological activities from DTTP. | Zuowei Zhao Li Wang Yuan Ruan Chunnan Wen Menghuan Ge Yanyan Qian Bingji Ma | 2023 | Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,1: | 1 |
