| 1 | Thermodynamic Analysis of a Mixed Refrigerant Ejector Refrigeration Cycle Operating with Two Vapor-liquid Separators显示文摘A mixed refrigerant ejector refrigeration cycle operating with two-stage vapor-liquid separators(MRERC2) is proposed to obtain refrigeration temperature at-40℃. The thermodynamic investigations on performance of MRERC2 using zeotropic mixture refrigerant R23/R134 a are performed, and the comparisons of cycle performance between MRERC2 and MRERC1(MRERC with one-stage vapor-liquid separator) are conducted. The results show that MRERC2 can achieve refrigeration temperature varying between-23.9℃ and-42.0℃ when ejector pressure ratio ranges from 1.6 to 2.3 at the generation temperature of 57.3-84.9℃. The parametric analysis indicates that increasing condensing temperature decreases coefficient of performance(COP) of MRERC2, and increasing ejector pressure ratio and mass fraction of the low boiling point component in the mixed refrigerant can improve COP of MRERC2. Moreover, this sensor serves as a potential recyclable component in sensing materials and the complex L-Hg2+ (L = 1-[(2-naphthalenylimino)methyl]-2-naphthalenol) can therefore be used as a fluorescent sensor for iodine anions. | 7 | A novel pathway regulates social hierarchy via lncRNA AtLAS and postsynaptic synapsin Ⅱb显示文摘Dominance hierarchy is a fundamental phenomenon in grouped animals and human beings,however,the underlying regulatory mechanisms remain elusive.Here,we report that an antisense long non-coding RNA(lncRNA)of synapsinⅡ;named as AtLAS,plays a crucial role in the regulation of social hierarchy.AtLAS is decreased in the prefrontal cortical excitatory pyramidal neurons of dominant mice;consistently,silencing or overexpression of AtLAS increases or decreases the social rank,respectively.Mechanistically,we show that AtLAS regulates alternative polyadenylation of synapsinⅡgene and increases synapsin 2b(syn2b)expression.Syn2b reduces AMPA receptor(AMPAR)-mediated excitatory synaptic transmission through a direct binding with AMPAR at the postsynaptic site via its unique C-terminal sequence.Moreover,a peptide disrupting the binding of syn2b with AMPARs enhances the synaptic strength and social ranks.These findings reveal a novel role for lncRNA AtLAS and its target syn2b in the regulation of social behaviors by controlling postsynaptic AMPAR trafficking. | Mei Ma Wan Xiong Fan Hu Man-Fei Deng Xian Huang Jian-Guo Chen Heng-Ye Man Youming Lu Dan Liu Ling-Qiang Zhu | 2020 | Cell Research2020,30,2: | 3 |
| 8 | Determination of ginsenoside compound K in human plasma by liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry of lithium adducts显示文摘Ginsenoside compound K(GCK), the main metabolite of protopanaxadiol constituents of Panax ginseng, easily produces alkali metal adduct ions during mass spectrometry particularly with lithium. Accordingly, we have developed a rapid and sensitive liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometric method for analysis of GCK in human plasma based on formation of a lithium adduct. The analyte and paclitaxel(internal standard) were extracted from 50 m L human plasma using methyl tertbutyl ether. Chromatographic separation was performed on a Phenomenex Gemini C18 column(50 mm 2.0 mm; 5 μm) using stepwise gradient elution with acetonitrile–water and 0.2 mmol/L lithium carbonate at a flow rate of 0.5 m L/min. Detection was performed in the positive ion mode using multiple reaction monitoring of the transitions at m/z 629-449 for the GCK-lithium adduct and m/z 860-292 for the adduct of paclitaxel. The assay was linear in the concentration range 1.00–1000 ng/m L(r^2>40.9988)with intra- and inter-day precision of ±8.4% and accuracy in the range of 4.8% to 6.5%. Recovery,stability and matrix effects were all satisfactory. | 11 | VGLUT3 neurons in median raphe control the efficacy of spatial memory retrieval via ETV4 regulation of VGLUT3 transcription显示文摘The raphe nucleus is critical for feeding, rewarding and memory. However, how the heterogenous raphe neurons are molecularly and structurally organized to engage their divergent functions remains unknown. Here, we genetically target a subset of neurons expressing VGLUT3. VGLUT3 neurons control the efficacy of spatial memory retrieval by synapsing directly with parvalbumin-expressing GABA interneurons(PGIs) in the dentate gyrus. In a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease(AD mice),VGLUT3→PGIs synaptic transmission is impaired by ETV4 inhibition of VGLUT3 transcription. ETV4 binds to a promoter region of VGLUT3 and activates VGLUT3 transcription in VGLUT3 neurons. Strengthening VGLUT3→PGIs synaptic transmission by ETV4 activation of VGLUT3 transcription upscales the efficacy of spatial memory retrieval in AD mice.
