| 3 | The INO80 chromatin remodeling complex promotes thermo-morphogenesis by connecting H2A.Z eviction and active transcription in Arabidopsis.显示文摘Global warming imposes a major threat to plant growth and crop production. In some plants including Arabidopsis thaliana, elevated temperatures induce a series of morphological and developmental adjustments, termed thermomorphogenesis to facilitate plant cooling under high-temperature conditions. Plant thermal response is suppressed by histone variant H2A.Z. At warm temperatures, H2A.Z is evicted from nucleosomes at thermo-responsive genes, resulting in their expression changes. However, the mechanisms that regulate H2A.Z eviction and subsequent transcription changes are largely unknown. Here, we show that the INO80 chromatin remodeling complex (INO80-C) promotes thermomorphogenesis and activates the expression of thermo-responsive and auxin-related genes. INO80-C associates with PHYTOCHROME-INTERACTING FACTOR 4 (PIF4), a potent regulator in thermomorphogenesis, and mediates temperature-induced H2A.Z eviction at PIF4 targets. Moreover, INO80-C directly interacts with COMPASS-like and transcription elongation factors to promote active histone modification Histone H3 lysine 4 trimethylation (H3K4me3) and RNA Polymerase II (RNA Pol II) elongation, leading to the thermal induction of transcription. Notably, transcription elongation factors SPT4 and SPT5 are required for the H2A.Z eviction at PIF4 targets, suggesting the cooperation of INO80-C and transcription elongation in H2A.Z removal. | 4 | BMPR2 and HIF1-α overexpression in resected osteosarcoma correlates with distant metastasis and patient survival显示文摘Objective: Bone morphogenetic protein receptor 2(BMPR2) and hypoxia-inducible factor 1-α(HIF1-α) existed abnormal expression in several types of cancer. However, their expressions and related roles in osteosarcoma are largely unknown.Methods:To investigate the clinical significance of BMPR2 and HIF1-αin osteosarcoma,we analyzed their expression levels in 103 osteosarcoma specimens by immunochemistry.Meanwhile,we conducted a follow-up to examine the metastatic behavior and overall survival(OS)of osteosarcoma patients.Results:Among 103 tissues,61 cases had BMPR2-positive expression and 57 cases had HIF1-αpositive expression.A significant correlation was noticed between BMPR2 and HIF1-αexpression in osteosarcoma specimens(P=0.035).Receiver-operating characteristic(ROC)curves were calculated to investigate the predictive value of the two markers in tumor metastasis.By means of univariate and multivariate analysis,BMPR2 and HIF1-αexpression,as well as higher tumor grade,were identified as significant risk factors for OS in patients with osteosarcoma.Kaplan-Meier survival analysis revealed that the patients with BMPR2 and HIF1-αpositive expression had worse OS compared with patients with BMPR2-negative or HIF1-α-negative staining.Conclusions:It can be concluded that BMPR2 and HIF1-αexpression is highly correlated with metastatic behavior in patients with osteosarcoma and can serve as predictive markers for metastasis and OS of these patients. | Shidong Wang Tingting Ren Yi Huang Xing Bao Kunkun Sun Danhua Shen Wei Guo | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,5: | 7 |

This area is typical monsoon area. In the period of monsoon, the directions of wind, sea wave and swell are roughly consistent. Sea wave of northeasterly is always prevailing in equatorial zone. The monsoon in winter is stronger than in summer, correspondingly, average wave height is higher, and the frequencies of high sea and heavy swell are also bigger. Both of North Indian Ocean and adjacent sea area is also monsoon area, but characteristic is opposite. | 8 | Geographical Variation and Influencing Factors of Spartina alterniflora Expansion Rate in Coastal China显示文摘Biological invasion poses a huge threat to ecological security.Spartina alterniflora was introduced into China in 1979,and its arrival corresponded with negative effects on native ecosystems.To explore geographical variation of its expansion rate in coastal China,we selected 43 S.alterniflora sites from Tianjin Coastal New Area to Beihai.The area expansion rate,expansion rate paralleling and vertical to the shoreline were analysed based on Landsat images and field survey in 2015.Simple Ocean Data Assimilation(SODA)and climate data were collected to statistically analyse the influential factors of expansion rate.Results showed that significant difference of S.alterniflora area expansion rate among different latitude zones(P<0.01),increasing from 6.08%at southern(21°N–23°N)to 19.87% in Bohai Bay(37°N–39°N)along latitude gradient.There was a significant difference in expansion rate vertical to shoreline in different latitude zones(P<0.01)with the largest occurring in Bohai Bay(256m/yr,37°N–39°N),and showed an decreasing tendency gradually from north to south.No significant difference and latitudinal clines in expansion rate paralleling to shoreline were observed.Expansion rate had significant negative correlation with mean seawater temperature,the lowest seawater temperature,current zonal velocity and meridional velocity and presented a reducing trend as these biotic factors increased;however,they were not significantly correlated with the highest seawater temperature and mean seawater salinity.We identified significant correlations between expansion rate and annual mean temperature,the lowest temperature in January and annual precipitation,but there was little correlation with annual diurnal difference in temperature and the highest temperature in July.The rapid expansion rate in high-latitude China demonstrated a higher risk of potential invasion in the north;dynamic monitoring and control management should be established as soon as possible. | ZHANG Danhua HU Yuanman LIU Miao CHANG Yu SUN Lishuang | 2020 | Chinese Geographical Science2020,30,1: | 4 |

| 15 | Microbial community structure analyses and cultivable denitrifier isolation of Myriophyllum aquaticum constructed wetland under low C/N ratio显示文摘With the rapid expansion of livestock production,the amount of livestock wastewater accumulated rapidly.Lack of biodegradable organic matter makes denitrification of livestock wastewater after anaerobic digestion more difficult.In this study,Myriophyllum aquaticum constructed wetlands(CWs)with efficient nitrogen removal performance were established under different carbon/nitrogen(C/N)ratios.Analysis of community composition reveals the change of M.aquaticum CWs in microbial community structure with C/N ratios.The proportion of Proteobacteria which is one of the dominant phyla among denitrifier communities increased significantly under low C/N ratio conditions.Besides,to obtain cultivable denitrifier that could be added into CWs in situ,33 strains belonging to phylum Proteobacteria were isolated from efficient M.aquaticum CWs,while the best-performing denitrification strain M3-1 was identified as Bacillus velezensis JT3-1(GenBank No.CP032506.1).Redundancy analysis and quadratic models showed that C/N ratio had significant effects on disposal of nitrate(NO_(3)^(−)-N)and the strains isolated could perform well in denitrification when C/N ratio is relatively low.In addition,they have relatively wide ranges of carbon sources,temperature and a high NO_(3)^(−)removal rate of 9.12 mg/(L·hr)at elevated concentrations of 800 mg/L nitrate.Thus,strains isolated from M.aquaticum CWs with low C/N ratio have a practical application value in the treatment of nitrate-containing wastewater.These denitrifying bacteria could be added to CWs to enhance nitrogen removal efficiency of CWs for livestock wastewater with low C/N ratio in the future. | Jialiang Zuo Lina Xu Jianlin Guo Shengjun Xu Shuanglong Ma Cancan Jiang Dongmin Yang Danhua Wang Xuliang Zhuang | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,5: | 2 |

| 17 | Nrf2/ARE pathway activation is involved in negatively regulating heat-induced apoptosis in non-small cell lung cancer cells显示文摘Hyperthermia,particularly in combination with chemoradiotherapy,is widely used to treat various cancers.However,hyperthermia treatment is often insufficient due to thermo-tolerance.To date,the detailed mechanism underlying thermo-tolerance has not been clarified.The nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)/antioxidant response element(ARE)pathway is an important cellular cytoprotective defense system that is activated by various stresses.In this study,using immunocytochemistry and western blot analysis,we demonstrated that heat stress induced Nrf2/ARE activation through the nuclear translocation of Nrf2 in non-small cell lung cancer cells.Luciferase activity was also increased.Additionally,antioxidant enzymes were increased through Nrf2 activation after heat stress.Transfection of lung cancer cells with siRNA directed against Nrf2 increased heat cytotoxicity and cell apoptosis.Heat stress could induce reactive oxygen species(ROS)accumulation,while the antioxidant NAC obviously reduced cell apoptosis ratio,indicating that heat stress induced cell apoptosis in a ROS-dependent manner.Knockdown of Nrf2 led to an abnormal elevation of ROS,and the antioxidant NAC could increase Nrf2 activation,indicating that ROS and Nrf2 act within a negative feedback loop.Taken together,these results demonstrated that Nrf2 pathway is important for maintaining resistance to heat stress,and we postulated that Nrf2 may represent a potential therapeutic target for hyperthermia in lung cancer. | Wenyue Xie Benxu Tan Zhenzhou Yang Xian Yu Lingxiu Chen Danhua Ran Qing Xu Xiangdong Zhou | 2020 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,4: | 2 |

| 20 | Plasma reforming of toluene as a model tar compound from biomass gasification:effect of CO_(2) and steam显示文摘In this study, plasma reforming of toluene as a tar model compound from biomass gasification has been carried out using an AC gliding arc discharge reactor. The influence of steam and CO_(2) addition on the reforming of toluene has been evaluated. The results show that the highest toluene conversion (59.9%) was achieved when adding 3 vol% CO_(2) at a toluene concentra-tion of 16.1 g/Nm3 and a specific energy input of 0.25 kWh/m3. Further increasing CO_(2) concentration to 12 vol% decreased the conversion of toluene. The presence of steam in the plasma CO_(2) reforming of toluene creates oxidative OH radicals which contribute to the enhanced conversion of toluene and energy efficiency of the plasma reforming process through stepwise oxidation of toluene and reaction intermediates. Hydrogen and C_(2)H_(2) were identified as the major gas products in the plasma reforming of toluene without CO_(2) or steam, with a yield of 9.7% and 14.5%, respectively, while syngas was the primary products with a maximum yield of 58.3% (27.5% for H_(2) and 30.8% for CO) in the plasma reforming with the addition of 12 vol% CO_(2).
