| 5 | Salivary microbiota may predict the presence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘The aim is to explore the predictive value of salivary bacteria for the presence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Saliva samples were obtained from 178 patients with ESCC and 101 healthy controls, and allocated to screening and verification cohorts, respectively. In the screening phase, after saliva DNA was extracted, 16S rRNA V4 regions of salivary bacteria were amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with high-throughput sequencing. Highly expressed target bacteria were screened by Operational Taxonomic Units clustering, species annotation and microbial diversity assessment. In the verification phase, the expression levels of target bacteria identified in the screening phase were verified by absolute quantitative PCR (Q-PCR). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were plotted to investigate the predictive value of target salivary bacteria. LEfSe analysis revealed higher proportions of Fusobacterium, Streptococcus and Porphyromonas, and Q-PCR assay showed significantly higher numbers of Streptococcus salivarius, Fusobacterium nucleatum and Porphyromonas gingivalis in patients with ESCC, when compared with healthy controls (all P < 0.05). The areas under the ROC curves for Streptococcus salivarius, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Porphyromonas gingivalis and the combination of the three bacteria for predicting patients with ESCC were 69%, 56.5%, 61.8% and 76.4%, respectively. The sensitivities corresponding to cutoff value were 69.3%, 22.7%, 35.2% and 86.4%, respectively, and the matched specificity were 78.4%, 96.1%, 90.2% and 58.8%, respectively. | 6 | Spatial structure of turbulent mixing of an anticyclonic mesoscale eddy in the northern South China Sea显示文摘Upper turbulent mixing in the interior and surrounding areas of an anticyclonic eddy in the northern South China Sea(SCS)was estimated from underwater glider data(May 2015)in the present study,using the Gregg-HenyeyPolzin parameterization and the Thorpe-scale method.The observations revealed a clear asymmetrical spatial pattern of turbulent mixing in the anticyclonic eddy area.Enhanced diffusivity(in the order of 10–3 m2/s)was found at the posterior edge of the anticyclonic mesoscale eddy;on the anterior side,diffusivity was one order of magnitude lower on average.This asymmetrical pattern was highly correlated with the eddy kinetic energy.Higher shear variance on the posterior side,which is conducive to the triggering of shear instability,may be the main mechanism for the elevated diffusivity.In addition,the generation and growth of sub-mesoscale motions that are fed by mesoscale eddies on their posterior side may also promote the occurrence of strong mixing in the studied region.The results of this study help improve our knowledge regarding turbulent mixing in the northern SCS. | Yongfeng Qi Chenjing Shang Huabin Mao Chunhua Qiu Changrong Liang Linghui Yu Jiancheng Yu Xiaodong Shang | 2020 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,11: | 2 |

| 8 | Remarkable separation of C 5 olefins in anion-pillared hybrid porous materials显示文摘C5 olefin separation is of great importance and challenge in industry with the increasing demand for synthetic rubber.However,the related study is limited due to the complex compositions and the similar boiling points.Here,we for the first time employ two anionpillared hybrid porous materials(ZU-62 and TIFSIX-2-Cu-i)towards the challenging separation of C5 olefin mixtures(trans-2-pentene,1-pentene and isoprene).These two adsorbents not only exhibit the unprecedented separation performance,but also show excellent recycle performance.Owing to the favorable electrostatic environment within a suitable confined space,TIFSIX-2-Cu-i is able to distinguish the three C5 olefins(frans-2-pentene,1-pentene and isoprene)with a high uptake of trans-2-pentene(3.1mmgol·g^(-1))ZU-62(also termed as NbOFFIVE-2-Cu-i)with contracted aperture size shows exclusion effect to the relatively large molecule of isoprene at low pressure range(0-6 kPa),contributing to the excellent separation selectivity of 1-pentene/isoprene(300).The excellent separation performance of ZU-62 and TIFSIX-2-Cu-i is verified by the breakthrough experiment.And interestingly,the regeneration tests show that C5 olefins can be easily desorbed from ZU-62,TIFSIX-2-Cu-i under 298 K.Moreover,the detailed adsorption behavior is further revealed by simulation studies. | Ying Yu Lifeng Yang Bin Tan Jianbo Hu Qingju Wang Xili Cui Huabin Xing | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,2: | 1 |

A beam of 40Ca12+ at an energy of Elab=194.6 MeV was delivered by thesector focusing cyclotron of the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL). The average beam intensity wasabout 100 pnA. Self-support targets of natural hafnium foils with thickness of 420 g/cm2 was mounted in a edframe. Evaporation residues recoiled from the target were separated from the primary beam by the separator andthen implanted into the Si-box detector (consist of three position sensitive silicon detectors and eight non-positionsensitive silicon detectors)[2]. | 19 | Observation of polarity-switchable photoconductivity in lInitride/MoS_(x)core-shell nanowires显示文摘Ⅱ-Ⅴsemiconductor nanowires are indispensable building blocks for nanoscale electronic and optoelectronic devices.However,solely relying on their intrinsic physical and material properties sometimes limits device functionalities to meet the increasing demands in versatile and complex electronic world.By leveraging the distinctive nature of the one-dimensional geometry and large surface-to-volume ratio of the nanowires,new properties can be attained through monolithic integration of conventional nanowires with other easy-synthesized functional materials.Herein,we combine high-crystal-quality lInitridle nanowires with amorphous molybdenum sulfides(a-MoS)to construct II.nitride/a-MoS_(x) core-shell nanostructures.Upon light ilumination,such nanostructures exhibit striking spectrally distinctive photodetection characteristic in photoelectrochemical environment,demonstrating a negative photoresponsivity of-100.42 mA W^(-1)under 254 nm ilumination,and a positive photoresponsivity of 29.5 mA W^(-1)under 365 nm ilumination.Density functional theory calculations reveal that the successful surface modifcation of the nanowires via a-MoS_(x)decoration accelerates the reaction process at the electrolyte/nanowire interface,leading to the generation of opposite photocurrent signals under different photon ilumination.Most importantly,such polarity-switchable photoconductivity can be further tuned for multiple wavelength bands photodetection by simply adjusting the surrounding environment and/or tailoring the nanowire composition,showing great promise to build light-wavelength controllable sensing devices in the future. | Danhao Wang Wentiao Wu Shi Fang Yang Kang Xiaoning Wang Wei Hu Huabin Yu Haochen Zhang Xin Lu Yuanmin Luo Jr-Hau He Lan Fu Shibing Long Sheng Liu Haiding Sun | 2022 | Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,11: | 0 |
