1Construction of a cucumber genetic linkage map with SRAP markers and location of the genes for lateral branch traits显示文摘Using SRAP (sequence-related amplified polymorphism) markers a genetic linkage map of cucumber was constructed with a population consisting of 138 F2 individuals derived from a cross of the two cucumber lines, S06 and S52. In the survey of parental polymorphisms with 182 primer combinations, 64 polymorphism-revealing primer pairs were screened out, which generated totally 108 polymorphic bands with an average of 1.7 bands per primer pair and at most 6 bands from one primer pair. The constructed molecular linkage map included 92 loci, distributed in seven linkage groups and spanning 1164.2 cM in length with an average genetic distance of 12.6 cM between two neighboring loci. Based on this linkage map, the quantitative trait loci (QTL) for the lateral branch number (lbn) and the lateral branch average length (lbl) in cucumber were identified by QTLMapper1.6. A major QTL lbn1 located between ME11SA4B and ME5EM5 in LG2 could explain 10.63% of the total variation with its positively effecting allele from S06. 3The development of blood-retinal barrier during the interaction of astrocytes with vascular wall cells显示文摘Astrocytes are intimately involved in the formation and development of retinal vessels.Astrocyte dysfunction is a major cause of blood-retinal barrier injury and other retinal vascular diseases.In this study,the development of the retinal vascular system and the formation of the blood-retinal barrier in mice were investigated using immunofluorescence staining,gelatin-ink perfusion,and transmission electron microscopy.The results showed that the retinal vascular system of mice develops from the optic disc after birth,and radiates out gradually to cover the entire retina,taking the papilla optica as the center.First,the superficial vasculature is formed on the inner retinal layer; then,the vasculature extends into the inner and outer edges of the retinal inner nuclear layer,forming the deep vasculature that is parallel to the superficial vasculature.The blood-retinal barrier is mainly composed of endothelium,basal lamina and the end-feet of astrocytes,which become mature during mouse development.Initially,the naive endothelial cells were immature with few organelles and many microvilli.The basal lamina was uniform in thickness,and the glial end-feet surrounded the outer basal lamina incompletely.In the end,the blood-retinal barrier matures with smooth endothelia connected through tight junctions,relatively thin and even basal lamina,and relatively thin glial cell end-feet.These findings indicate that the development of the vasculature in the retina follows the rules of 'center to periphery' and 'superficial layer to deep layers'.Its development and maturation are spatially and temporally consistent with the functional performance of retinal neurons and photosensitivity.The blood-retinal barrier gradually becomes mature via the process of interactions between astrocytes and blood vessel cells.Huanling Yao Tianshi Wang Jiexin Deng Ding Liu Xiaofei Li Jinbo Deng 2014Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,10:6
4Characterization and performance of Cu/ZnO/Al_2O_3 catalysts prepared via decomposition of M(Cu,Zn)-ammonia complexes under sub-atmospheric pressure for methanol synthesis from H_2 and CO_2显示文摘Methanol synthesis from hydrogenation of CO2 is investigated over Cu/ZnO/Al2O3 catalysts prepared by decomposition of M(Cu,Zn)-ammonia complexes (DMAC) at various temperatures.The catalysts were characterized in detail,including X-ray diffraction,N2 adsorption-desorption,N2O chemisorption,temperature-programmed reduction and evolved gas analyses.The influences of DMAC temperature,reaction temperature and specific Cu surface area on catalytic performance are investigated.It is considered that the aurichalcite phase in the precursor plays a key role in improving the physiochemical properties and activities of the final catalysts.The catalyst from rich-aurichalcite precursor exhibits large specific Cu surface area and high space time yield of methanol (212 g/(Lcat·h);T=513 K,p=3MPa,SV=12000 h-1).Danjun Wang Jun Zhao Huanling Song Lingjun Chou 2011Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2011,20,6:6

7E3 ligase FBXW7 aggravates TMPD-induced systemic lupus erythematosus by promoting cell apoptosis显示文摘Systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)is a systemic autoimmune disease,and the pathogenesis of SLE has not been fully elucidated.The E3 ubiquitin ligase FBXW7 has been well characterized in cancer as a tumor suppressor that can promote the ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of various oncoproteins;however,the potential role of FBXW7 in autoimmune diseases is unclear.In the present study,we identified that FBXW7 is a crucial exacerbating factor for SLE development and progression in a mouse model induced by 2,6,10,14-tetramethylpentadecane(TMPD).Myeloid cell-specific FBXW7-deficient(Lysm+FBXW7f/f)C57BL/6 mice showed decreased immune complex accumulation,glomerulonephritis,glomerular mesangial cell proliferation,and basemembrane thickness in the kidney.Lysm+FBXW7f/f mice produced fewer anti-Sm/RNP and anti-ANA autoantibodies and showed a decreased MHC II expression in B cells.In Lysm+FBXW7f/f mice,we observed that cell apoptosis was reduced and that fewer CD11b+Ly6Chi inflammatory monocytes were recruited to the peritoneal cavity.Consistently,diffuse pulmonary hemorrhage(DPH)was also decreased in Lysm+FBXW7f/f mice.Mechanistically,we clarified that FBXW7 promoted TMPD-induced cell apoptosis by catalyzing MCL1 degradation through K48-linked ubiquitination.Our work revealed that FBXW7 expression in myeloid cells played a crucial role in TMPD-induced SLE progression in mice,which may provide novel ideas and theoretical support for understanding the pathogenesis of SLE.Zhenlu Chong Chunjing Bao Jia He Tianxiao Chen Lijia Zhong Gaopeng Li Huanle Li Lutong Fang Yinjing Song Guoxiang Fu Xuyan Yang Lihua Lai Yang Liu Qingqing Wang 2018Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,12:2
8Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation of embryogenic callus and CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing in‘Feizixiao'litchi显示文摘Litchi(Litchi chinensis Sonn.)is a type of commercially prevalent subtropical and tropical fruit.Since litchi has a highly heterozygous genetic background and a long reproductive cycle,conventional breeding methods(such as hybridization)have limited ability to nurture new litchi cultivars.Here,an efficient and stable Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated genetic transformation of embryogenic callus was established in‘Feizixiao’litchi.Transgenic materials were verified using polymerase chain reaction(PCR)analysis,β-glucuronidase(GUS)assay,and green fluorescent protein(GFP)assay.To implement the technology of the Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats(CRISPR)/associated protein 9(CRISPR/Cas9)technology in‘Feizixiao’litchi and verify the validity of these transformation systems,the litchi polyphenol oxidase gene(LcPPO,JF926153)was knocked out.Various categories of mutations,covering base insertions,deletions,and substitutions,were found in transgenic materials via sequence analysis.The transformation system achieved high feasibility and efficiency,and the system of CRISPR/Cas9 was successfully employed to edit genes in‘Feizixiao’litchi.This work provides an essential foundation for investigating the functions of genes and accelerating litchi genetic improvement.Shujun Wang Guo Wang Huanling Li Fang Li Jiabao Wang 2023Horticultural Plant Journal2023,9,5:1
9A Novel Hybrid Intelligent Prediction Model for Valley Deformation: A Case Study in Xiluodu Reservoir Region, China显示文摘The narrowing deformation of reservoir valley during the initial operation period threatens the long-term safety of the dam,and an accurate prediction of valley deformation(VD)remains a challenging part of risk mitigation.In order to enhance the accuracy of VD prediction,a novel hybrid model combining Ensemble empirical mode decomposition based interval threshold denoising(EEMD-ITD),Differential evolutions—Shuffled frog leaping algorithm(DE-SFLA)and Least squares support vector machine(LSSVM)is proposed.The non-stationary VD series is firstly decomposed into several stationary subseries by EEMD;then,ITD is applied for redundant information denoising on special sub-series,and the denoised deformation is divided into the trend and periodic deformation components.Meanwhile,several relevant triggering factors affecting the VD are considered,from which the input features are extracted by Grey relational analysis(GRA).After that,DE-SFLA-LSSVM is separately performed to predict the trend and periodic deformation with the optimal inputs.Ultimately,the two individual forecast components are reconstructed to obtain the final predicted values.Two VD series monitored in Xiluodu reservoir region are utilized to verify the proposed model.The results demonstrate that:(1)Compared with Discrete wavelet transform(DWT),better denoising performance can be achieved by EEMD-ITD;(2)Using GRA to screen the optimal input features can effectively quantify the deformation response relationship to the triggering factors,and reduce the model complexity;(3)The proposed hybrid model in this study displays superior performance on some compared models(e.g.,LSSVM,Backward Propagation neural network(BPNN),and DE-SFLA-BPNN)in terms of forecast accuracy.Mengcheng Sun Weiya Xu Huanling Wang Qingxiang Meng Long Yan Wei-Chau Xie 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,1:1

12Morphological characteristics and genetic differentiation of Lutraria maxima in coast waters off southeast China显示文摘To explore genetic diversity and estimate the genetic differences among populations of Lutraria maxima in the coastal waters off south to southeast China,the morphology of the species of five different geographical populations(Beihai,Weizhou Island,Zhanjiang,Xiamen,and Fuzhou)in Guangxi,Guangdong,and Fujian provinces was studied statistically in combination with the microsatellite markers.As revealed by morphological principal component analysis(PCA),the cumulative contribution rate of the first three principal components was 72.596%.The discrimination accuracy ranged from 47.5%to 80.0%,and the scatter plots of principal component and discriminant analysis were consistent in overall,showing that the Xiamen and Fuzhou populations were overlapped obviously.For microsatellite markers,10 pairs of polymorphic primers were obtained by high-throughput transcriptome sequencing,and used for genetic diversity analysis.It was showed that the average number of alleles and eff ective alleles observed in each population ranged from 8.100 to 10.900,and from 3.497 to 4.228,respectively.The average observed heterozygosity(H_(o))and expected heterozygosity(H_(e))in the five populations ranged from 0.541 to 0.615,and from 0.642 to 0.733,respectively.The genetic distance(DA)ranged from 0.078 to 0.523,and the population genetic differentiation index(F_(ST))ranged from 0.027 to 0.139.The unweighted pair-population method with arithmetic means(UPGMA)and structure analysis showed that the five populations could be divided into two main clusters,the Beibu Gulf group(Beihai and Weizhou Island)and the Southeast China Sea group(Zhanjiang,Xiamen,and Fuzhou),suggesting that L.maxima has been separated geographically by the barrier of the Leizhou Peninsula into two groups in evolution,which provided us with a scientific clue to better protect the bioresource and establish an appropriate fishery management stocks for L.maxima populations in south China.Kang CHEN Weifeng WANG Weilin ZHU Xiuli CHEN Huanling WANG 2021Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,4:1
13Side force control on slender body by self-excited oscillation flag显示文摘Strong asymmetrical vortices appear on the leeward of slender body at high angles of attack,which has very unfavorable effect on the stability and control of the aircraft.A method is developed to control the side force of slender body at high angles of attack,and is verified in wind tunnel.A thin-film triangular self-excited oscillation flag is fixed at the tip of the slender body model whose semi-apex angle is 10°.Side force is approximately linearly proportional to roll-setting angle of self-excited oscillation flag at high angles of attack,and the slop of fitting straight line obtained by the least square method is-0.158.The linear relationship between side force and roll-setting angle provides convenience for developing side force control law of slender body at high angles of attack.Experimental data shows that the side force coefficients vary linearly with roll-setting angles when a specific plastic self-excited oscillation flag is used as the control flag.The range of side force coefficient and roll-setting angle are,respectively,-3.2to 3.0 and-20° to 20°.The device is simple,effective,and is of great potential in engineering application.Jian Zhai Weiwei Zhang Chuanqiang Gao Yanhua Zhang Zhengyin Ye Huanling Wang 2016Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2016,6,5:1

19Study of micro-trichome (mict) reveals novel connections between transcriptional regulation of multicellular trichome development and specific metabolism in cucumber显示文摘Trichomes that cover the epidermis of aerial plant organs play multiple roles in plant protection.Compared with a unicellular trichome in model plants,the development mechanism of the multicellular trichome is largely unclear.Notably,variations in trichome development are often accompanied by defects in the biosynthesis of cuticle and secondary metabolites;however,major questions about the interactions between developmental differences in trichomes and defects in metabolic pathways remain unanswered.Here,we characterized the glabrous mutant mict/csgl1/cstbh via combined metabolomic and transcriptomic analyses to extend our limited knowledge regarding multicellular trichome development and metabolism in cucumber.Mict was found to be explicitly expressed within trichome cells.Transcriptomic analysis indicated that genes involved in flavonoid and cuticle metabolism are significantly downregulated in mict mutants.Further metabolomic analysis confirmed that flavonoids,lipids,and cuticle compositions are dramatically altered in mict mutants.Additional studies revealed that Mict regulates flavonoid,lipid,and cuticle biosynthesis by likely directly binding to downstream functional genes,such as CsTT4,CsFLS1,CsCER26,and CsMYB36.These findings suggest that specific metabolic pathways(e.g.,flavonoids and cuticle components)are co-regulated by Mict and provide insights into transcriptional regulation mechanisms of multicellular trichome development and its specific metabolism in cucumber.Jian Pan Leyu Zhang Guanqun Chen Haifan Wen Yue Chen Hui Du Junlong Zhao Huanle He Hongli Lian Huiming Chen Jianxin Shi Run Cai Gang Wang Junsong Pan 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:1
