1Recent progress and challenges of carbon materials for Zn-ion hybrid supercapacitors显示文摘Zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitors(ZHSCs)have garnered increasing attention as promising energy storage devices in recent years,as they combine the advantages of high-energy Zn-ion batteries and high-power supercapacitors.However,the development of ZHSCs is still in its infancy and there are many bottlenecks to overcome.In particular,the challenge induced by the limited ion adsorption capability of carbon-positive electrodes severely restricts the energy density of ZHSCs.Therefore,it has become a key issue to design novel carbon-positive electrodes that enable high energy density yet do not deteriorate the intrinsic power capability and long-term durability.This study focuses on recent achievements in synthesis,morphology,and electrochemical performance of various carbon materials applied in ZHSCs.The modification strategies to optimize their electrochemical performance are briefly summarized.In addition,current challenges and future opportunities in this field are also outlined.This review will be beneficial to provide an organized framework for the research systems of carbon-positive electrodes and develop novel ZHSCs with high energy density.Qiyu Liu Haozhe Zhang Jinhao Xie Xiaoqing Liu Xihong Lu 2020Carbon Energy2020,2,4:10
2Precise base editing of non-allelic acetolactate synthase genes confers sulfonylurea herbicide resistance in maize显示文摘Single-nucleotide polymorphisms contribute to phenotypic diversity in maize. Creation and functional annotation of point mutations has been limited by the low efficiency of conventional methods based on random mutation. An efficient tool for generating targeted single-base mutations is desirable for both functional genomics and precise genetic improvement. The objective of this study was to test the efficiency of targeted C-to-T base editing of two non-allelic acetolactate synthase(ALS) in generating sulfonylurea herbicide-resistant mutants. A CRISPR/Cas9 nickase-cytidine deaminase fused with uracil DNA glycosylase inhibitor(UGI) was employed to achieve targeted conversion of cytosine to thymine in ZmALS1 and ZmALS2. Both protoplasts and recovered mutant plants showed the activity of the cytosine base editor, with an in vivo efficiency of up to 13.8%. Transgene-free edited plants harboring a homozygous ZmALS1 mutation or a ZmALS1 and ZmALS2 double mutation were tested for their resistance at a dose of up to 15-fold the recommended limit of chlorsulfuron, a sulfonylurea herbicide widely used in agriculture. 3Isolation,Characterization,and Phylogenetic Analysis of Two New Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Virus Strains from the Northern Region of Xinjiang Province,China显示文摘Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever(CCHF)caused by the CCHF virus(CCHFV)is a tick-borne natural focal disease with a mortality rate of approximately 50%.CCHFV is widely prevalent in Africa,southern Asia,the Middle East,and southeast Europe.CCHF outbreaks have been reported previously in Xinjiang province,China,especially in its southern region.Epidemiological surveys conducted on ticks and animals have revealed the presence of CCHFV strains in ticks,rodents,and infected individuals from cities and counties in southern Xinjiang.Phylogenetic analyses revealed that the Chinese CCHFV strains belong to one genotype,based on complete sequences of the S segments of its negative-stranded RNA genome.The present study reports two new CCHFV strains isolated from Hyalomma asiaticum asiaticum ticks collected from Fukang City and Wujiaqu City in the northern region of Xinjiang.Viral characteristics and their evolutionary relationships were analyzed through metagenomic and reverse-transcription PCR analyses;these analyses indicated that the genotype of both strains was different from that of other Chinese strains.Furthermore,previous reports of CCHFV in Xinjiang were reviewed and phylogenetic analyses were performed.CCHFV was found to prevail in Fukang City in Junggar Basin for more than 20 years,and that Fukang City and Wujiaqu City are considered natural reservoirs of different genotypes of CCHFV strains.Our findings facilitate the understanding of CCHFV distribution in Xinjiang province and provide insights into the evolutionary relationships among Chinese CCHFV strains.Yanfang Zhang Shu Shen Yaohui Fang Jinliang Liu Zhengyuan Su Jinhao Liang Zhong Zhang Qiaoli Wu Cheng Wang Abulikemu Abudurexiti Zhihong Hu Yujiang Zhang Fei Deng 2018Virologica Sinica2018,33,1:8
4Source apportionment and ecological risk assessment of PAHs in surface sediments from the Liaodong Bay,northern China显示文摘The sources and ecological risk from sixteen polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in surface sediment in the Liaodong Bay were investigated from 2014 to 2015.The total concentrations of PAHs ranged from 88.5 to 347.1 ng/g,and the high value occurred in the central region of the Liaodong Bay.Cluster analysis identified two site clusters representing the coastal region affected by land-based pollution and the central region of the Liaodong Bay.Principal component analysis-multiple linear regression and diagnostic ratios suggested that PAHs contaminants originated from a mixture of combustion and petroleum sources,and the major was combustion sources.Based on sediment quality guideline,naphthalene,acenaphthylene,acenaphthene,phenanthrene and dibenz[a,h]anthracene may occasionally cause adverse biological effects in some stations.The toxic equivalent concentrations of carcinogenic PAHs indicated low carcinogenic risk for the Liaodong Bay.The ecological risk and toxic pollution levels of PAHs were higher in the central region than in the coastal region along the Liaodong Bay.ZHANG Yufeng WU Jinhao SONG Lun SONG Yonggang YANG Meng WANG Nianbin HAN Jiabo GUAN Daoming 2018Acta Oceanologica Sinica2018,37,4:6
5Growth of LaBr_3:Ce^(3+) Single Crystal by Vertical Bridgman Process in Nonvacuum Atmosphere显示文摘The growth of LaBr3:Ce3+ crystal by the vertical Bridgman process in a nonvacuum atmosphere was reported. According to the dehydration procedure of LaBr3·7H2O and CeBr3·7H2O investigated by differential thermal analysis/thermogravimetry (DTA/TG), anhydrous LaBr3 and CeBr3 were prepared by heating LaBr3·7H2O and CeBr3·7H2O at 240–260°C for 5–6 h in dried HBr atmosphere. Using the feed materials prepared from the anhydrous lanthanon bromides, a 0.5 mole fraction Ce3+ doped LaBr3 crystal with size of φ25 mm×50 mm had been grown by vertical Bridgman process successfully. By sealing the feed material in a platinum crucible, the crystal could be grown in a nonvacuum atmosphere as the oxidization and volatilization of the melt could be avoided. The crystal was grown with the optimum conditions such as a growth rate of 0.5–1.0 mm/h and a temperature gradient of around 30°C/cm across solid-liquid interface under a furnace temperature of 850–880°C. The crystal was characterized by DTA/TG, X-ray diffraction (XRD), optical transmission, photoluminescence and X-ray stimulated luminescence measurement. 6Vibration Control of a Composite Beam Using Self-sensing Semi-active Approach显示文摘Structural vibration control was an active research area for the past twenty years because of their potential applications in aerospace structures,civil structures,naval structures,etc.Semi-active vibration control methods based on piezoelectric actuators and synchronized switch damping on inductance(SSDI) techniques attract the attention of many researchers recently due to their advantages over passive and active methods.In the SSDI method,a switch shunt circuit is connected to the piezoelectric patch to shift the phase and amplify the magnitude of the voltage on the piezoelectric patch.The most important issue in SSDI method is to control the switching actions synchronously with the maximum vibration displacement or maximum strain.Hence,usually a displacement sensor is used to measure the vibration displacement or a collocated piezoelectric sensor is needed to measure the strain of the structure near the piezoelectric actuator.A self-sensing SSDI approach is proposed and applied to the vibration control of a composite beam,which avoids using a separate sensor.In the self-sensing technique,the same piezoelectric element functions as both a sensor and an actuator so that the total number of required piezoelectric elements can be reduced.One problem in the self-sensing actuator,which is the same as that in the traditional collocated piezoelectric sensors,is the noise generated in the sensor signal by the impact of voltage inversion,which may cause extra switching actions and deteriorate control performance.In order to prevent the shunt circuit from over-frequent on-and-off actions,a simple switch control algorithm is proposed.The results of control experiments show that the self-sensing SSDI approach combined with the improved switch control algorithm can effectively suppress over-frequent switching actions and gives good control performance by reducing the vibration amplitude by 45%,about 50% improvement from the traditional SSDI with a separate piezoelectric element and a classical switch.JI Hongli QIU Jinhao ZHU Kongjun 2010Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2010,23,5:5
7Differential expression of immune-related genes between healthy volunteers and type 2 diabetic patients with spleen-deficiency pattern显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical differentiation of spleen-deficiency pattern(SDP), a group of symptoms and signs defined in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine for its clinical practice.METHODS: Peripheral venous blood(> 3 m L) was collected from each of six type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)-SDP patients and six healthy volunteers. After the isolation of peripheral white blood cells(PWBCs), total RNA was extracted, and quality control was performed on all RNA samples. Microarray experiments were conducted using the Agilent human whole genome gene chip, and genes demonstrating differential expression were screened. Bioinformatics analysis was conducted on these genes using several online databases.RESULTS: We screened a total of 175 differentially expressed genes(DEGs), of which 111(63%) were down-regulated and 64(37%) were up-regulated in T2DM-SDP patients compared with healthy controls. Among the 175 genes, 158 had biological function annotations: 46(29%) were directly related to an individual's immune regulation or response, 25(16%) were associated with substance and energy metabolism of PWBCs which could also indirectly influence immunity, and the remaining87(55%) were involved in a variety of PWBC biological processes that might eventually influence the immune function. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analysis revealed that the DEGs were predominantly enriched in seven immune-related pathways. Hierarchical cluster analysis identified gene expression patterns that were distinguishable between the two study groups.CONCLUSION: Our results suggest that T2DM-SDP patients experience significant hypoimmunity and/or immune dysfunctions, and possess a specific gene expression profile. 9Quantification of Effects of Natural Geographical Factors and Land-scape Patterns on Non-point Source Pollution in Watershed Based on Geodetector:Burhatong River Basin,Northeast China as An Example显示文摘Changes in natural geographic features and landscape patterns directly influence the hydrology and non-point source pollution processes in the watershed;however,to slow down non-point source pollution,it is necessary to distinguish their effects.But the non-point source pollution process is interactional as a result of multiple factors,and the collinearity between multiple independent variables limits our ability of reason diagnosis.Thus,taking the Burhatong River Basin,Northeast China as an example,the methods of hydrological simulation,geographic detectors,and redundancy analysis have been combined to determine the impact of natural geographic features and landscape patterns on non-point source pollution in the watershed.The Soil&Water Assessment Tool(SWAT)has been adopted to simulate the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of total nitrogen and total phosphorus in the watershed.The results show that the proportions of agricultural land and forest area and the location-weighted landscape contrast index(LWLI)are the main indicators influencing the rivers total nitrogen and total phosphorus.The interaction of these indicators with natural geographic features and landscape configuration indicators also significantly influences the changes in total nitrogen(TN)and total phosphorus(TP).Natural geographical features and landscape patterns have different comprehensive effects on non-point source pollution in the dry and wet seasons.TN and TP loads are affected mainly by the change in landscape pattern,especially in the wet season.Although the ecological restoration program has improved forest coverage,the purification effect of increased forest coverage on the water quality in the watershed may be offset by the negative impact of increased forest fragmentation.The high concentration and complexity of farmland patches increase the risk of non-point source pollution spread to a certain extent.SHI Jinhao JIN Ri ZHU Weihong 2022Chinese Geographical Science2022,32,4:4
10Damage Detection and Material Property Reconstruction of Composite Laminates Using Laser Ultrasonic Technique显示文摘Laser ultrasonic technique has received increasing attentions in the past decade due to its contactless nature and a wide range of applications have been reported. In this review,applications of laser ultrasonic technique developed at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics(NUAA)as well as elsewhere for non-destructive testing in composite laminates are presented. The principles of generating and detecting in a laser ultrasonic system are introduced,three different system configurations are also introduced with each configuration's advantages and disadvantages explained. More importantly,two major applications developed at NUAA for composite laminates are presented including damage detection,stiffness reconstruction and fatigue life prediction. Both applications are realized by a fixed-point PZT sensor and scanning pulse laser based on the linear reciprocal theorem. 12Soil pore identification with the adaptive fuzzy C-means method based on computed tomography images显示文摘The complex geometry and topology of soil is widely recognised as the key driver in many ecological processes. X-ray computed tomography (CT) provides insight into the internal structure of soil pores automatically and accurately. Until recently, there have not been methods to identify soil pore structures. This has restricted the development of soil science, particularly regarding pore geometry and spatial distribution. Through the adoption of the fuzzy clustering theory and the establishment of pore identification rules, a novel pore identification method is described to extract pore structures from CT soil images. The robustness of the adaptive fuzzy C-means method (AFCM), the adaptive threshold method, and Image-Pro Plus tools were compared on soil specimens under different conditions, such as frozen, saturated, and dry situations. The results demonstrate that the AFCM method is suitable for identifying pore clusters, especially tiny pores, under various soil conditions. 13High Precision Ultrasonic Guided Wave Technique for Inspection of Power Transmission Line显示文摘Due to the merits of high inspection speed and long detecting distance, Ultrasonic Guided Wave(UGW) method has been commonly applied to the on-line maintenance of power transmission line. However, the guided wave propagation in this structure is very complicated, leading to the unfavorable defect localization accuracy. Aiming at this situation, a high precision UGW technique for inspection of local surface defect in power transmission line is proposed. The technique is realized by adopting a novel segmental piezoelectric ring transducer and transducer mounting scheme, combining with the comprehensive characterization of wave propagation and circumferential defect positioning with multiple piezoelectric elements. Firstly, the propagation path of guided waves in the multi-wires of transmission line under the proposed technique condition is investigated experimentally. Next, the wave velocities are calculated by dispersion curves and experiment test respectively, and from comparing of the two results, the guided wave mode propagated in transmission line is confirmed to be F(1,1) mode. Finally, the axial and circumferential positioning of local defective wires in transmission line are both achieved, by using multiple piezoelectric elements to surround the stands and send elastic waves into every single wire. 15Green tea polyphenols protect spinal cord neurons against hydrogen peroxide-induced oxidative stress显示文摘Green tea polyphenols are strong antioxidants and can reduce free radical damage. To investigate their neuroprotective potential, we induced oxidative damage in spinal cord neurons using hydrogen peroxide, and applied different concentrations(50–200 μg/mL) of green tea polyphenol to the cell medium for 24 hours. Measurements of superoxide dismutase activity, malondialdehyde content, and expression of apoptosis-related genes and proteins revealed that green tea polyphenol effectively alleviated oxidative stress. 17A novel NIRS modelling method with OPLS-SPA and MIX-PLS for timber evaluation显示文摘The identification of timber properties is important for safe application.Near Infrared Spectroscopy(NIRS)technology is widely-used because of its simplicity,efficiency,and positive environmental attributes.However,in its application,weak signals are extracted from complex,overlapping and changing information.This study focused on the stability of NIR modeling.The Orthogonal Partial Least Squares(OPLS)and Successive Projections Algorithm(SPA)eliminates noise and extracts effective spectra,and an ensemble learning method MIX-PLS,is applied to establish the model.The elastic modulus of timber is taken as an example,and 201 wood samples of three species,Xylosmacongesta(Lour.)Merr.,Acer pictum subsp.mono,and Betula pendula,samples were divided into three groups to investigate modelling performance.The results show that OPLS can preprocess the near-infrared spectroscopy information according to the target object in the face of the system error and reduce errors to minimum.SPA finally selects 13 spectral bands,simplifies the NIR spectral data and improves model accuracy.The Pearson's correlation coefficient of Calibration(Rc)and the Pearson's correlation coefficient of Prediction(Rp)of Mix Partial Least Squares(MIX-PLS)were 0.95 and 0.90,and Root Mean Square Error of Calibration(RMSEC)and Root Mean Square Error of Prediction(RMSEP)are 2.075 and 6.001,respectively,which shows the model has good generalization abilities.Jinhao Chen Huilig Yu Dapeng Jiang Yizhuo Zhang Keqi Wang 2022Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,1:2

19Synthesis of potassium sodium niobate powders using an EDTA/citrate complexing sol-gel method显示文摘Potassium sodium niobate(KNN) powders were synthesized by a modified sol-gel method,using as starting chemicals potassium carbonate,sodium carbonate,and niobium hydroxide,and,as esterification and chelating agents,respectively,ethylene glycol(EG) and ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid(EDTA)/citrate.The effects of citric acid(CA),EG,and EDTA on the stability of the precursor sol were systemically investigated.The powders and gels were characterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,and thermogravimetric analysis-differential scanning calorimetry(TGA-DSC).The results indicated that a stable precursor sol was formed when n(CA):n(Mn+)=3:1,n(EDTA):n(NH4OH)=1:3.5,and n(CA):n(EG)=1:2.The xerogel was calcined at 500-950℃ to prepare the KNN powder.Pure KNN perovskite phase with a cube-like structure was synthesized at 850℃ from the precursor sol for a K/Na molar ratio of 1.2.The formation mechanism of the KNN perovskite phase was also discussed.Yang Cao Kongjun Zhu Hongjuan Zheng Jinhao Qiu Honghui Gu 2012Particuology2012,10,6:2
