1A novel colloidal gold immunochromatography assay strip for the diagnosis of schistosomiasis japonica in domestic animals显示文摘Background:Schistosomiasis remains a major public health concern in China and an epidemiological survey has revealed that schistosome-infected bovines and goats are the main transmission sources for the disease.Therefore,development of a sensitive technique for the diagnosis of schistosomiasis in domestic animals is necessary.Method:A novel colloidal gold immunochromatography assay(GICA)strip was developed for detecting Schistosoma japonicum in domestic animals.The colloidal gold was conjugated with recombinant streptococcal protein G(rSPG).As the test and control lines,the schistosome soluble egg antigen and rSPG,respectively,were blotted on nitrocellulose membrane.Results:The lowest detectable serum dilution was 1∶640 for schistosome-infected buffaloes.The cross-reaction rate of GICA was 14.29%with Paramphistomum sp.in buffaloes,16.67%with Haemonchus sp.in goats,and 33.33%with Orientobilharzia sp.in goats.These results were slightly lower and similar to those obtained through ELISA.Moreover,the strips for detecting S.japonicum in mice,rabbits,buffaloes,and goats showed high sensitivity(100.00%,100.00%,100.00%,and 100.00%,respectively)and specificity(100.00%,100.00%,94.23%,and 88.64%,respectively).And the sensitivity or specificity of the GICA strips did not present any significant differences after storage for 12 months at room temperature.When compared with ELISA,the GICA strips exhibited similar sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of schistosomiasis in mice,rabbits,buffaloes,and goats.Besides,only 5μl of serum are required for the test and the detection can be completed within 5 min.Conclusion:This study is the first to develop a GICA strip using gold-rSPG conjugate for the diagnosing of schistosomiasis in domestic animals,and preliminary results showed that the developed strip may be suitable for large-scale screening of schistosomiasis in endemic areas.Rui Xu Jintao Feng Yang Hong Chao Lv Dengyun Zhao Jiaojiao Lin Ke Lu Hao Li Jinming Liu Xiaodan Cao Tao Wang Jinli Zai Zhaozhe Wang Bingguang Jia Qian Han Chuangang Zhu 2017Infectious Diseases of Poverty2017,6,1:12
2Formation and influencing factors of carbonate source rock of the Lower Permian Chihsia Formation in Chaohu region, Anhui Province显示文摘Highly-mature carbonate source rock is essential to the exploration of oil and gas in southern China. In this study, the carbonate strata in the relatively well-developed Lower Permian Chihsia Formation (located in Chaohu, Lower Yangtze) were targeted, and the formation and influencing factors of source rock were discussed based on paleoenvironment reconstruction using comprehensive sedimentology, palynofacies, and organic geochemistry data. The results demonstrate that the Chihsia Formation is oxygen-deficient biogenic carbonate sediments, with marked variations in the organic and inorganic components, formed during a period of Permian transgression. The formation of source rock is the combined result of high bioproductivity and oxygen-deficient environment generated by transgression and oxygenation events which frequently occurred during transgression periods. Source rock was affected by self-dilution effects and diagenesis, causing its heterogeneous distribution in many intervals. Source rock is over 40 m thick, and can be identified based on its different organic, biological, and mineral composition characteristics. The carbonate rock appears to require no specific clay content in order to become a source rock. 3Effect of interaction between different CeO_(2)plane and platinum nanoparticles on catalytic activity of Pt/CeO_(2)in toluene oxidation显示文摘The plane exposure of support vitally affects the catalytic performance of the catalyst.In this work,CeO_(2)nanorods((110)plane exposure),nano-octahedrons((111)plane exposure)and nano-cubes((100)plane exposure)were prepared as the supports of Pt/CeO_(2)samples to investigate the effect of CeO_(2)plane exposure on total toluene oxidation.Characterizations reveal that the(110)plane of CeO_(2)is more helpful to the dispersion of Pt species,followed by(111)face.The improved dispersion of Pt species can enhance the metal-supports interaction,which promotes the electron transfer of CeO_(2)carrier to Pt nanoparticles and the adsorption-activation of O_(2),thereby facilitating the total oxidation of toluene via the Langmuir-Hinshelwood(L-H)mechanism.Therefore,Pt/CeO_(2)-r(nanorods)sample expresses excellent catalytic performance of toluene oxidation.Finally,the procedure of toluene total oxidation was studied by in-situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform(DRIFT)spectroscopy.We expect that this work can contribute to the development of an effective sample for the decomposition of volatile organic compounds(VOCs).Shengsheng Chang Yong jia Yiqing Zeng Fuping Qian Lina Guo Shenghua Wu Jinli Lu Yunlong Han 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,11:6
4The significance and variation characteristics of interlay water in smectite of hydrocarbon source rocks显示文摘To investigate variation characteristics of interlayer water bound up with organic matter in smectite, organo-clay complexes extracted from grinded source rock samples were determined using thermo-XRD, DTA and PY-GC. The d001 diffraction peak of organo-clay complexes is postponed from 250 to 550°C before reaching 1.00 nm and accompanied by exothermal peaks on DTA and organic matter with abundant C20-C30 carbon detected by PY-GC, which is different from single smectite and indicates the existence of organic matter in the interlayer of smectite. Water desorption characteristics of organo-clay complexes are in consistent with smectite at 100 and 600°C, but different from smectite at 550°C with an additional dehydration peak and a remaining d001 diffraction peak, suggesting the water removed at 550°C is interlayer adsorption water rather than constituent water of clay minerals. Comparing the dehydration order and water loss, we conclude that part of interlayer water of smectite may act as the 'bridge' that binds organic matter and smectite, which results in water-expelled lag beyond 250°C and may provide a good medium for hydrocarbon migration and oil pool formation.CAI JinGong LU LongFei BAO YuJin FAN Fu XU JinLi 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,3:6
5Towards high-performance packet processing on commodity multi-cores: current issues and future directions显示文摘The demands of programmability have become more and more exigent as novel network services appear, such as E-commerce, social softwares, and online videos. Commodity multi-core CPUs have been widely applied in network packet processing to get high programmability and reduce the time-to-market. However,there is a great gap between the packet processing performance of commodity multi-core and that of the traditional packet processing hardware, e.g., NP(Network Process). Recently, optimization of the packet processing performance of commodity multi-cores has become a hot topic in industry and academia. In this paper, based on a detailed analysis of the packet processing procedure, firstly we identify two dominating overheads, namely the virtual-to-physical address translation and the packet buffer management. Secondly, we make a comprehensive survey on the current optimization methods. Thirdly, based on the survey, the heterogeneous architecture of the commodity multi-core + FPGA is proposed as a promising way to improve the packet processing performance.Fourthly, a novel Self-Described Buffer(SDB) management technology is introduced to eliminate the overheads of the allocation and deallocation of the packet buffers offloaded to FPGA. Then, an evaluation testbed, named PIOT(Packet I/O Testbed), is designed and implemented to evaluate the packet forwarding performance. I/O capacity of different commodity multi-core CPUs and the performance of optimization methods are assessed and compared based on PIOT. 8Enhancement of oxygen reduction activity and stability via introducing acid-resistant refractory Mo and regulating the near-surface Pt content显示文摘Although Pt Ni catalyst possesses good oxygen reduction activity, its poor stability is the main obstacle for the commercialization of proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs). In this work, we introduce the acid-resistant refractory Mo to enhance the structure stability and modify the electronic structure of Pt in the prepared PtNi catalyst, improving the catalytic activity for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR). In addition, near-surface Pt content in the nanoparticle is also optimized to balance the ORR activity and stability. The electrochemical results show that the alloy formed by Mo and Pt Ni is obviously more stable than the PtNi alloy alone, because the acid-resistant Mo and its oxides effectively prevent the dissolution of Pt. Especially, the Pt3 Ni3 MoN/C exhibits the optimal ORR catalytic performance in O2-saturated 0.1 mol L^(-1) HClO4 aqueous solutions, with mass activity(MA) of 900 m A mg^(-1) Pt at 0.90 V vs. RHE, which is 3.75 times enhancement compared with the commercial Pt/C(240 mA mg^(-1) Pt). After 30 k accelerated durability tests, its MA(690 m A mg^(-1) Pt) is still 2.88 times higher than the pristine Pt/C. 9CFD–DEM simulation of particle deposition characteristics of pleated air filter media based on porous media model显示文摘In this study, the three-dimensional physical model of pleated air filtration media was simplified to porous media model, and the calculation parameters of porous media were obtained based on experimental data. The model of V-shaped pleated air filter media is constructed, the height of the media pleat is 50 mm and the pleat thickness is 4 mm, the pleat angle is 3.7°. The Hertz-Mindlin contact model was modified by Johnson Kendall Roberts (JKR) adhesion contact model. The deposition process of particles in media was simulated based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) theory and discrete element method (DEM). Results show that the CFD–DEM coupling method can be effectively applied to the macro research of pleated air filter media. The particles will form dust layer and dendrite structure on the fiber surface, and the dust layer will affect the subsequent air flow organization, and the dendrite structure will eventually form a “particle wall”. The formation of the “particle wall” will prevent the particles from moving further in the fluid domain, which makes area of pleated angle become the “low efficiency” part about the particle deposition. 13Numerical investigation of non-spherical particle deposition characteristics on filter media显示文摘In the building environment,PM2.5 seriously affects people’s health and quality of life,so it is necessary to study the particle deposition characteristics.In addition,it is essential for a thorough investigation of the dust removal mechanism to understand the non-spherical particles deposition characteristics.The stacking angle experiment was used to calibrate the discrete element simulation parameters.And four simulation methods(CFD-DPM,CFD-DEM,API interface loading drag model based on EDEM software and EDEM simulation)were used to numerically simulate the non-spherical particles deposition characteristics.The optimal simulation method EDEM was applied to study the non-spherical particles deposition characteristics in filter media,which saves the calculation time obviously.On this basis,the particle parameters on the particle deposition characteristics of filter media were investigated.The results show that the deposition rate of non-spherical(special shape)particles with the same volume is basically consistent on the filter media,hence it is more realistic that the dust actual shape is simplified into the triangular-shaped particles.As the particle size increases,the number of deposited particles on the filter media decreases.And the larger the particle size,the more dispersed the distribution.It has a significant impact on the number of particles deposited on the filter media when the particle velocity is 0.1 m/s.The particle deposits to the lower part of the filter media in the form of a parabola and deviates from the outlet seriously at 0.1 m/s.Moreover,it has little effect on the number of particle deposition at the other velocities,and most particles are deposited on the upper part of the filter media with the increase of particle velocity.Lumin Chen Ke Yuan Fuping Qian Zhimin Zheng Jinli Lu Yunlong Han 2023Building Simulation2023,16,8:0
14Comparative study of IORT and 3D-CRT for hepato-cellular carcinoma显示文摘Objective: To investigate the feasibility of intra-operative radiation therapy (IORT) in hepato-cellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods: Based on the dosage distribution of tumor and adjacent sensitive organs, and dose-volume histogram (DVH), Topslane three-dimensional therapy plan was used to compare IORT and three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT) in 12 cases of HCC. Results: Taking the center of tumors as the isodose center, the V90 (volume of 90% dose distribution) of IORT was significantly better than that of 3D-CRT, and median absorbed doses of normal organs in IORT was significantly lower than that in 3D-CRT. Conclusion: The V90 of IORT is better than that of 3D-CRT in HCC, and neighboring sensitive organs were effectively protected by IORT. 15An Experimental and Numerical Study on the Cleaning of Pleated Bag Filters Using Low-Pressure Pulsed-Jets显示文摘Pulsed-jet cleaning is recognized as the most efficient method to regenerate bag dust collectors traditionally used in industrial processes to control the emission of particulates.In this study,non-woven needle felt filter bags with and without a film coating material have been analyzed considering different geometries(different number N of pairs of pleated filter bag sides)in the frame of dedicated low-pressure pulsed-jet cleaning experiments.The flow structure inside the bag and the response characteristics of its wall have also been analyzed numerically through a computational fluid-dynamics/structural-dynamics(CFD-CSD)unidirectional fluid-solid coupling method.As shown by the experiments,the peak pressure(P_(0))on the wall of the filter bag with N=8 and 12 is higher,which indicates dust can be removed more effectively in these cases.The peak pressure on the wall increases first and then decreases along the direction of the bag length,while the peak pressure of the pleated filter bag with nonwoven needled felt film coating is greater than that without film coating.A comprehensive analysis of the time variation of acceleration,deformation,strain,stress and other factors,has led to the conclusion that the pleated filter bag with N=12 would be the optimal choice.Lumin Chen Wanying Sun Fuping Qian Can Fang Zhimin Zheng Qianshuang Zhuang Yunlong Han Jinli Lu 2022Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2022,18,1:0

17Characteristics of Gas-Liquid Slug Flow in Microchannel by Instantaneous Liquid Film Thickness Measurement显示文摘This paper seeks to decipher the exact relationship between the liquid film thickness and the hydrodynamics of gas-liquid slug flows. An instantaneous measurement system is developed by integrating the laser focus displacement meter(LFDM) and high-speed camera to characterize the temporal evolution of the liquid film and the dynamic characteristics of continuous slug flows. A glass tube with internal diameter of 0.75 mm is used and the tested ranges of superficial gas and liquid velocities are 0.01–1.2 m/s and 0.01–0.09 m/s respectively. The non-zero signals of LFDM representing the bubble slug flows changed from regular periodic intervals to chaotic fluctuations when slug-annular flow pattern appears. The dominant frequencies of the periodic intermittent slug flows increased from about 0.5–2 Hz to nearly 10–20 Hz as the superficial gas velocity rised from 0.025 to 0.78 m/s. The bubble and liquid slug lengths calculated by the time interval of liquid film thickness and bubble velocity correlated well with the empirical model.
