2Monitoring slope deformation using a 3-D laser image scanning system: a case study显示文摘An ILRIS-36D 3-D laser image scanning system was used to monitor the Anjialing strip mine slope on Pingshuo in Shanxi province. The basic working principles, performance indexes, features and data collection and processing methods are illus-trated. The point cloud results are analyzed in detail. The rescale range analysis method was used to analyze the deformation char-acteristics of the slope. The results show that the trend of slope displacement is stable and that the degree of landslide danger is low. This work indicates that 3-D laser image scanning can supply multi-parameter, high precision real time data over long distances. 3Genome-wide identification and analysis of the DREB genes and their expression profiles under abiotic stresses in Chinese jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Mill.)显示文摘CBF/DREB proteins play a critical role in abiotic stress-mediated gene expression and represent attractive regulons for plant breeding programs.However,no study has been conducted for CBF/DREB protein-related genes in jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Mill.).In this study,twenty-five ZjDREB genes were identified and annotated from the jujube(Z.jujuba‘Dongzao’)genome.Detailed analysis,including gene classification,annotation,phylogenetic evaluation,conserved motif determination and expression profiling were performed on all genes.Phylogenetic analysis showed that ZjDREB proteins were divided into five subgroups(A1–A5),but lacking a subgroup A6 corresponding to AtDREBs.The ZjDREB genes were distributed in nine of twelve chromosomes in the genome.Additionally,the expression patterns of the DREB genes under different abiotic stresses were investigated using q RT-PCR.Nineteen ZjDREB genes were down-regulated under low temperature,in contrast six ZjDREB genes(01,03,05,11,23 and 24)were up-regulated.Under drought,salinity and high temperature conditions,expression of ZjDREB03,09,10,14,15,17 and 20 genes were induced and showed similar expression patterns,suggesting that various stress conditions share common elements in the signaling pathway.The results suggest that the family of DREB genes play an important role in abiotic stresses in jujube,and provide a foundation for further functional studies of this important class of transcriptional regulators.Heying Zhou Jiping Jia Decang Kong Zhendong Zhang Shuang Song Yingyue Li Xiaoming Pang 2019Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,4:8
4Presence, dissemination and removal of antibiotic resistant bacteria and antibiotic resistance genes in urban drinking water system: A review显示文摘Antibiotic resistance in aquatic environment has become an important pollution problem worldwide. In recent years, much attention was paid to antibiotic resistance in urban drinking water systems due to its close relationship with the biosafety of drinking water. This review was focused on the mechanisms of antibiotic resistance, as well as the presence, dissemination and removal of antibiotic resistant bacteria (ARB) and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in the urban drinking water system. First, the presence of ARB and ARGs in the drinking water source was discussed. The variation of concentration of ARGs and ARB during coagulation, sedimentation and filtration process were provided subsequently, in which filtration was proved to be a promising technology to remove ARGs. However, biological activated carbon (BAC) process and drinking water distribution systems (DWDSs) could be incubators which promote the antibiotic resistance, due to the enrichment of ARGs and ARB in the biofilms attached to the active carbon and pipe wall. Besides, as for disinfection process, mechanisms of the inactivation of ARB and the promotion of conjugative transfer of ARGs under chlorine, ozone and UV disinfection were described in detail. 7Temporal and spatial cellular and molecular pathological alterations with single-cell resolution in the adult spinal cord after injury显示文摘Spinal cord injury(SCI)involves diverse injury responses in different cell types in a temporally and spatially specific manner.Here,using single-cell transcriptomic analyses combined with classic anatomical,behavioral,electrophysiological analyses,we report,with single-cell resolution,temporal molecular and cellular changes in crush-injured adult mouse spinal cord.Data revealed pathological changes of 12 different major cell types,three of which infiltrated into the spinal cord at distinct times post-injury.We discovered novel microglia and astrocyte subtypes in the uninjured spinal cord,and their dynamic conversions into additional stage-specific subtypes/states.Most dynamic changes occur at 3-days post-injury and by day-14 the second wave of microglial activation emerged,accompanied with changes in various cell types including neurons,indicative of the second round of attacks.By day-38,major cell types are still substantially deviated from uninjured states,demonstrating prolonged alterations.This study provides a comprehensive mapping of cellular/molecular pathological changes along the temporal axis after SCI,which may facilitate the development of novel therapeutic strategies,including those targeting microglia.Chen Li Zhourui Wu Liqiang Zhou Jingliang Shao Xiao Hu Wei Xu Yilong Ren Xingfei Zhu Weihong Ge Kunshan Zhang Jiping Liu Runzhi Huang Jing Yu Dandan Luo Xuejiao Yang Wenmin Zhu Rongrong Zhu Changhong Zheng Yi Eve Sun Liming Cheng 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,4:4

10Single-cell transcriptomics reveals gene signatures and alterations associated with aging in distinct neural stem/progenitor cell subpopulations显示文摘Aging associated cognitive decline has been linked to dampened neural stem/progenitor cells (NSC/NPCs) activities manifested by decreased proliferation, reduced propensity to produce neurons, and increased differentiation into astrocytes. While gene transcription changes objectively reveal molecular alterations of cells undergoing various biological processes, the search for molecular mechanisms underlying aging of NSC/NPCs has been confronted by the enormous heterogeneity in cellular compositions of the brain and the complex cellular microenvironment where NSC/NPCs reside. Moreover, brain NSC/NPCs themselves are not a homogenous population, making it even more difficult to uncover NSC/NPC sub-type specific aging mechanisms. Here, using both population-based and single cell transcriptome analyses of young and aged mouse forebrain ependymal and subependymal regions and comprehensive “big-data” processing, we report that NSC/NPCs reside in a rather inflammatory environment in aged brain, which likely contributes to the differentiation bias towards astrocytes versus neurons. Moreover, single cell transcriptome analyses revealed that different aged NSC/NPC subpopulations, while all have reduced cell proliferation, use different gene transcription programs to regulate age-dependent decline in cell cycle. Interestingly, changes in cell proliferation capacity are not influenced by inflammatory cytokines, but likely result from cell intrinsic mechanisms. The Erk/Mapk pathway appears to be critically involved in regulating age-dependent changes in the capacity for NSC/NPCs to undergo clonal expansion. 11Jiawei Xiaoyao capsule treatment for mild to moderate major depression with anxiety symptoms: a randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, controlled, multicenter, parallel-treatment trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To assess the efficacy and safety of Jiawei Xiaoyao (JWXY) capsules on mild to moderate depression with anxiety symptoms,a randomized,double-blind,double-dummy controlled,multicenter,parallel-treatment trial was carried out among 210 outpatients with mild to moderate depression and anxiety symptoms from three hospitals in Beijing China.METHODS:Participants were randomized into the JWXY group or the sertraline group.Each group received JWXY treatment and sertraline placebo,or sertraline and JWXY placebo for 8 weeks.Main outcomes were measured using the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD),Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAMA) and the Clinical Global Impression Scale.RESULTS:JWXY and sertraline had the equivalent effect on HAMD at every interview point.JWXY was more effective at reducing the HAMA scores at the 2nd and 12th week,HAMD sleep disturbance subscale scores at the 8th and 12th week,and HAMA somatic anxiety subscale scores at the 12th week.The rate of adverse events in the two groups was the same.CONCLUSION:For mild to moderate depression with anxiety symptoms,JWXY could be as effective as sertraline in alleviating depressive symptoms.For anxiety symptoms,JWXY may be effective more quickly and with longer lasting effects than sertraline.In particular,it may also improve quality of sleep and somatic anxiety symptoms.JWXY is safe and cheaper than conventional antidepressants,and may be the first alternative choice for depression with anxiety symptoms.Su Rui Fan Jiping Li Tao Cao Xindong Zhou Jie Han Zhenyun Ma Yan 2019Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019,39,3:2
