1Neurological manifestations of patients with COVID-19:potential routes of SARS-CoV-2 neuroinvasion from the periphery to the brain显示文摘Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),has caused a global pandemic in only 3 months.In addition to major respiratory distress,characteristic neurological manifestations are also described,indicating that SARS-CoV-2 may be an underestimated opportunistic pathogen of the brain.Based on previous studies of neuroinvasive human respiratory coronaviruses,it is proposed that after physical contact with the nasal mucosa,laryngopharynx,trachea,lower respiratory tract,alveoli epithelium,or gastrointestinal mucosa,SARS-CoV-2 can induce intrinsic and innate immune responses in the host involving increased cytokine release,tissue damage,and high neurosusceptibility to COVID-19,especially in the hypoxic conditions caused by lung injury.In some immunecompromised individuals,the virus may invade the brain through multiple routes,such as the vasculature and peripheral nerves.Therefore,in addition to drug treatments,such as pharmaceuticals and traditional Chinese medicine,non-pharmaceutical precautions,including facemasks and hand hygiene,are critically important.Zhengqian Li Taotao Liu Ning Yang Dengyang Han Xinning Mi Yue Li Kaixi Liu Alain Vuylsteke Hongbing Xiang Xiangyang Guo 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,5:5
2Three-dimensional carbon framework as high-proportion sulfur host for high-performance lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries are anticipated as one of the most promising candidates for the highenergy-density storage systems.However,the insulating nature and shuttling effect of sulfur severely limits their performance.The incorporation of sulfur with carbon materials has been deemed as one of the most powerful strategies to improve electrical conductivity and suppress soluble polysulfide shuttling.Herein,a novel three-dimensional carbon framework(3DCF)is prepared and employed as a sulfur host(3DCF@S)for Li-S batteries.The 3DCF not only supplies abundant paths for lithium ion diffusion and electron transport,but also strengthens polysulfide immobilization during the lithium/sulfur conversion reactions.As a result,the 3DCF@S with high sulfur content of 90%exhibits a high capacity of 1366 mA h/g at 0.1 C and excellent cycling stability with a satisfactory capacity of 601 mA h/g after 600 cycles at 2.0 C.The resultant Li-S button battery based 3DCF@S electrode could power a light-emitting diode for 2 h.The acquired 3DCF@S is expected to be widely used in Li-S batteries and this study will promote developments of carbon/sulfur composites for Li-S batteries.Xianbin Liu Zechen Xiao Changgan Lai Shuai Zou Ming Zhang Kaixi Liu Yanhong Yin Tongxiang Liang Ziping Wu 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,13:4
3Materials,preparation,performances and mechanism of polyurethane modified asphalt and its mixture:A systematic review显示文摘With the rapid development of asphalt pavement technology,it has attracted considerable attention to improving the durability of asphalt pavement.An effective action is to use modified asphalt with high performance and durability.Polyurethane(PU)has been used in asphalt pavement engineering to enhance the durability and service life of asphalt pavement because of its excellent high-temperature performance,toughness,wear resistance,aging resistance and oil resistance.However,PU modified asphalt technology is still in the exploratory stage.The preparation,modification mechanism and working performances of PU modified asphalt need to be further clarified.Therefore,this paper summarized the research progress of PU modified asphalt and its mixture.The composition of PU modified asphalt was introduced.The addition methods of PU materials and preparation process parameters of the PU modified asphalt were determined.The modification mechanism of PU on asphalt was discussed.The effects of polyurethane on asphalt were analyzed and the road performances of its mixture were evaluated.Finally,the development tendency towards PU modified asphalt and its mixture were forecasted.Chaohui Wang Shuai Huang Qian Chen Xiaoping Ji Kaixi Duan 2023Journal of Road Engineering2023,3,1:4
4CRA-40/Atmosphere—The First-Generation Chinese Atmospheric Reanalysis(1979–2018):System Description and Performance Evaluation显示文摘Atmospheric reanalysis reproduces the past atmospheric conditions through assimilation of historical meteorological observations with fixed version of a numerical weather prediction(NWP)model and data assimilation(DA)system.It is widely used in weather,climate,and even business-related research and applications.This paper reports the development of CMA’s first-generation global atmospheric reanalysis(RA)covering 1979–2018(CRA-40;CRA refers to CMA-RA).CRA-40 is produced by using the Global Spectral Model(GSM)/Gridpoint Statistical Interpolation(GSI)at a 6-h time interval and a TL574 spectral(34-km)resolution with the model top at 0.27 hPa.A large number of reprocessed satellite data and widely collected conventional observations were assimilated during the reanalyzing process,including the reprocessed atmospheric motion vector(AMV)products from FY-2C/D/E/G satellites,dense conventional observations(at about 120 radiosonde and 2400 synoptic stations)over China,as well as MWHS-2 and GNSS-RO observations from FY-3C.The reanalysis fitting to observations is improved over time,especially for surface pressure with root-mean-square error reduced from 1.05 hPa in 1979 to 0.8 hPa,and for upper air temperature from 1.65 K in 1979 to 1.35 K,in 2018.The patterns of global analysis increments for temperature,specific humidity,and zonal wind are consistent with the changes in the observing system.Near surface temperature from the model’s 6-h forecast reflects the global warming trend reasonably.The CRA-40 precipitation pattern matches well with those of GPCP and other reanalyses.CRA-40 also successfully captures the QBO and its vertical and temporal development,hemispherical atmospheric circulation change,and moisture transport by the East Asian summer monsoon.CRA is now operationally running in near real time as a climate data assimilation system in CMA.Zhiquan LIU Lipeng JIANG Chunxiang SHI Tao ZHANG Zijiang ZHOU Jie LIAO Shuang YAO Jingwei LIU Minyan WANG Huiying WANG Xiao LIANG Zhisen ZHANG Yan YAO Ting ZHU Zhe CHEN Wenhui XU Lijuan CAO Hui JIANG Kaixi HU 2023Journal of Meteorological Research2023,37,1:4
5Kirigami-inspired multiscale patterning of metallic structures via predefined nanotrench templates显示文摘Reliable fabrication of multiscale metallic patterns with precise geometry and size at both the nanoscale and macroscale is of importance for various applications in electronic and optical devices.The existing fabrication processes,which usually involve film deposition in combination with electron-beam patterning,are either timeconsuming or offer limited precision.Inspired by the kirigami,an ancient handicraft art of paper cutting,this work demonstrates an electron-beam patterning process for multiscale metallic structures with significantly enhanced efficiency and precision.Similar to the kirigami,in which the final pattern is defined by cutting its contour in a paper and then removing the unwanted parts,we define the target multiscale structures by first creating nanotrench contours in a metallic film via an electron-beam-based process and then selectively peeling the separated film outside the contours.Compared with the conventional approach,which requires the exposure of the whole pattern,much less exposure area is needed for nanotrench contours,thus enabling reduced exposure time and enhanced geometric precision due to the mitigated proximity effect.A theoretical model based on interface mechanics allows a clear understanding of the nanotrench-assisted selective debonding behaviour in the peeling process.By using this fabrication process,multiscale metallic structures with sub-10-nm up to submillimetre features can be reliably achieved,having potential applications for anti-counterfeiting and gap-plasmon-enhanced spectroscopy.Mengjie Zheng Yiqin Chen Zhi Liu Yuan Liu Yasi Wang Peng Liu Qing Liu Kaixi Bi Zhiwen Shu Yihui Zhang Huigao Duan 2019Microsystems & Nanoengineering2019,5,1:2
6Synergistically boosting the elementary reactions over multiheterogeneous ordered macroporous Mo2C/NC-Ru for highly efficient alkaline hydrogen evolution显示文摘Simultaneously enhancing the reaction kinetics,mass transport,and gas release during alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is critical to minimizing the reaction polarization resistance,but remains a big challenge.Through rational design of a hierarchical multiheterogeneous three-dimensionally(3D)ordered macroporous Mo_(2)C-embedded nitrogen-doped carbon with ultrafine Ru nanoclusters anchored on its surface(OMS Mo_(2)C/NC-Ru),we realize both electronic and morphologic engineering of the catalyst to maximize the electrocatalysis performance.The formed Ru-NC heterostructure shows regulative electronic states and optimized adsorption energy with the intermediate H*,and the Mo_(2)C-NC heterostructure accelerates the Volmer reaction due to the strong water dissociation ability as confirmed by theoretical calculations.Consequently,superior HER activity in alkaline solution with an extremely low overpotential of 15.5 mV at 10 mAcm^(−2)with the mass activity more than 17 times higher than that of the benchmark Pt/C,an ultrasmall Tafel slope of 22.7 mV dec−1,and excellent electrocatalytic durability were achieved,attributing to the enhanced mass transport and favorable gas release process endowed from the unique OMS Mo_(2)C/NC-Ru structure.By oxidizing OMS Mo_(2)C/NC-Ru into OMS MoO_(3)-RuO_(2)catalyst,it can also be applied as efficient oxygen evolution electrocatalyst,enabling the construction of a quasi-symmetric electrolyzer for overall water splitting.Such a device's performance surpassed the state-of-the-art Pt/C||RuO2 electrolyzer.This study provides instructive guidance for designing 3D-ordered macroporous multicomponent catalysts for efficient catalytic applications.Kaixi Wang Shuo Wang Kwan San Hui Haixing Gao Duc Anh Dinh Chengzong Yuan Chenyang Zha Zongping Shao Zikang Tang Kwun Nam Hui 2022Carbon Energy2022,4,5:2
7Regulating electronic structure of two-dimensional porous Ni/Ni_(3)N nanosheets architecture by Co atomic incorporation boosts alkaline water splitting显示文摘Interfacial engineering is a powerful method to improve the bifunctional electrocatalytic performance of pure phase catalysts.While it is expected to further optimize the electronic configuration of heterojunctions to boost the reaction kinetics in hydrogen/oxygen evolution reaction(HER/OER),but remains a challenge.Herein,a novel in situ hybrid heterojunction strategy is developed to construct 2D porous Co-doped Ni/Ni_(3)N heterostructure nanosheets(Co-Ni/Ni_(3)N)by pyrolysis of partially cobalt substituted nickel-zeolitic imidazolate framework(CoNi-ZIF)nanosheets under NH3 atmosphere.A combined experimental and theoretical studies manifest that the hybrid heterostructures can display regulative electronic states and downshift d-band center from the Fermi level,as well as optimize the adsorption energy of reaction intermediates,thus reducing the thermodynamic energy barriers and accelerating the catalytic kinetics.Consequently,benefitting from the optimized electronic configuration,hierarchical hollow nanosheets architecture,and abundant doped heterojunctions,the hybrid Co-Ni/Ni_(3)N heterostructure catalyst exhibits efficient catalytic activity for both HER(60 mV)and OER(322 mV)at 10 mA cm^(-2)in alkaline media,which is 105 and 47 mV lower than that of pure Ni_(3)N,respectively.The electrochemically active surface area of Co-Ni/Ni_(3)N is two times higher than that of Ni3N.Furthermore,the coupled practical water electrolyzer requires a low voltage of 1.575 V to reach 10 mA cm^(-2),and it can be driven by a 1.5 V battery.This work highlights the interface engineering guidance for the rational establishment of hybrid interfaces by electronic modulation of interfacial effect for alkaline water splitting.Kaixi Wang Yingying Guo Zhonghui Chen Donghai Wu Shouren Zhang Baocheng Yang Jianan Zhang 2022InfoMat2022,4,6:1
