1Multi-proxy evidence for Late Pleistocene-Holocene climatic and environmental changes in Lop-Nur,Xinjiang,Northwest China显示文摘A 10.35-m-long sediment core from the Luobei depression in Lop-Nur,Xinjiang,Northwest China,provides detailed information about environmental changes during the Late Pleistocene.The samples taken every 5 cm of the core were analyzed for 10 environmental proxies,including magnetic susceptibility,granularity,chroma,carbonate and loss on ignition(LOI),and pH value.The chronology data are provided by the uranium/thorium disequi-librium dates.The sediments of the section were deposited during the last 32000 years.The results of analysis of 10 proxies were examined using multivariate statistical analysis,and the principal components were calculated.According to the results,the Late Pleistocene sequence contains four climatic and environmental stages appearing in the cycles of cold-wet and warm-dry changes.During 10-9 ka BP,it was the earliest warm episode in the Holocene.Environmental changes in this district were restricted by global change,as suggested by the analysis of glacial-interglacial cycles.But it was different from the mutative trend of a monsoon region in East China because of its own characteristics,which was the situation of cold-wet and warm-dry climate-environment change.The candidate reason may be the uplift of the Tibet Plateau and the westerly wind circulation.LUO Chao YANG Dong PENG Zicheng ZHANG Zhaofeng LIU Weiguo HE Jianfeng ZHOU Chenlin 2008Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2008,27,3:3

3High-performance all-polymer solar cells enabled by a novel low bandgap non-fully conjugated polymer acceptor显示文摘The non-fully conjugated polymer as a new class of acceptor materials has shown some advantages over its small molecular counterpart when used in photoactive layers for all-polymer solar cells(all-PSCs),despite a low power conversion efficiency(PCE)caused by its narrow absorption spectra.Herein,a novel non-fully conjugated polymer acceptor PFY-2TS with a low bandgap of~1.40 eV was developed,via polymerizing a largeπ-fused small molecule acceptor(SMA)building block(namely YBO)with a non-conjugated thioalkyl linkage.Compared with its precursor YBO,PFY-2TS retains a similar low bandgap but a higher LUMO level.Moreover,compared with the structural analog of YBO-based fully conjugated polymer acceptor PFY-DTC,PFY-2TS shows a similar absorption spectrum and electron mobility,but significantly different molecular crystallinity and aggregation properties,which results in optimal blend morphology with a polymer donor PBDB-T and physical processes of the device in all-PSCs.As a result,PFY-2TS-based all-PSCs achieved a PCE of 12.31%with a small energy loss of 0.56 eV enabled by the reduced non-radiative energy loss(0.24 eV),which is better than that of 11.08%for the PFY-DTC-based ones.Our work clearly demonstrated that non-fully conjugated polymers as a new class of acceptor materials are very promising for the development of high-performance all-PSCs.Qunping Fan Ruijie Ma Tao Liu Jianwei Yu Yiqun Xiao Wenyan Su Guilong Cai Yuxiang Li Wenhong Peng Tao Guo Zhenghui Luo Huiliang Sun Lintao Hou Weiguo Zhu Xinhui Lu Feng Gao Ellen Moons Donghong Yu He Yan Ergang Wang 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,8:3
4Impact of photosynthesis and transpiration on nitrogen removal in constructed wetlands显示文摘To determine the impact of photosynthesis and transpiration on nitrogen removal in wetlands,an artificial wetland planted with reeds was constructed to treat highly concentrated domestic wastewater.Under different meteoro-logical and hydraulic conditions,the daily changes of photo-synthesis and transpiration of reeds,as well as nitrogen removal efficiency were measured.It was found that net pho-tosynthesis rate per unit leaf area was maintained on a high level(average 19.0μmol CO_(2)/(m^(2)·s))from 10:00 to 14:00 in July 2004 and reached a peak of 21.1μmol CO2/(m2·s)when Photon Flux Density was high during the day.Meanwhile,TN and NH_(4)^(+)-N removal efficiency rose to 79.6%and 89.6%,respectively-the maximum values observed in the test.Correlation coefficient analysis demonstrated a positive cor-relation among photon flux density,net photosynthetic rate,transpiration rate,and TN and NH_(4)^(+)-N removal efficiency.In contrast,there was a negative correlation between stomatal conductance and TN and NH_(4)^(+)-N removal efficiency.Results suggest that the photosynthesis and transpiration of wetland plants have a great impact on nitrogen removal efficiency of wetlands,which can be enhanced by an increase in the photo-synthesis and transpiration rate.In addition,the efficiency of water usage by reeds and nitrogen removal efficiency could be affected by the water level in wetlands;a higher level boosts nitrogen removal efficiency.LUO Weiguo WANG Shihe HUANG Juan YAN Lu HUANG Jun 2007Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2007,1,3:2

9Investigating the Changes in Air Pollutant Emissions over the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region in February from 2014 to 2019 through an Inverse Emission Method显示文摘In recent years,China has implemented several measures to improve air quality.The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH)region is one area that has suffered from the most serious air pollution in China and has undergone huge changes in air quality in the past few years.How to scientifically assess these change processes remain the key issue in further improving the air quality over this region in the future.To evaluate the changes in major air pollutant emissions over this region,this paper employs ensemble Kalman filtering(EnKF)for integrating the national ground monitoring pollutant observation data and the Nested Air Quality Prediction Modeling System(NAQPMS)simulation data to inversely estimate the emission rates of SO_(2),NOX,CO,and primary PM_(2.5)over BTH region in February from 2014 to 2019.The results show that SO_(2),NOX,CO,and primary PM_(2.5)emissions in the BTH region decreased in February from 2014 to 2019 by 83%,37%,41%,and 42%,while decreases in Beijing during this period were 86%,67%,59%,and 65%,respectively.Compared with the prior emission inventory,the inversion emission inventory reduces the uncertainty of multi-pollutant simulation in the BTH region,with simulated root mean square errors of the monthly average concentrations of SO_(2),NOX,PM_(2.5),and CO reduced by 41%,30%,31%,and 22%,respectively.The average uncertainties of SO_(2),NOX,PM_(2.5),and CO inversion emissions in2014-19 are±14.03%yr^(-1),±28.91%yr^(-1),±126.15%yr^(-1),and±43.58%yr^(-1).Compared with the uncertainty of MEIC emission,the uncertainties of all species changed by+2%yr^(-1),-2%yr^(-1),-26%yr^(-1),and-4%yr^(-1),respectively.The spatial distribution results illustrate that air pollutant emissions are mainly distributed over the eastern and southern BTH regions.The spatial gap between the inversion emissions and MEIC emissions was further closed in 2019 compared to 2014.The results of this paper can provide a new reference for assessing changes in air pollution emissions over the BTH region in recent years and validating a bottom-up emission inventory.Xuechun LUO Xiao TANG Haoyue WANG Lei KONG Huangjian WU Weiguo WANG Yating SONG Hongyan LUO Yao WANG Jiang ZHU Zifa WANG 2023Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,4:1

15Correlation between δ^(18)O, Sr/Ca and Mg/Ca of coral Acropora and seawater temperature from coral culture experiments显示文摘To be used as proxies of seawater surface temperature(SST), the δ 18Oc values and Sr/Ca and Mg/Ca ratios of scleractinian coral skeletons must be verified by coral culture experiments in the laboratory. This paper describes a coral culture experiment that was conducted at several seawater temperatures T(21–28°C) using a tandem aquarium system and the new method for depositing coral skeletons grown under controlled conditions. The δ 18Oc values and the Sr/Ca and Mg/Ca ratios of the cultured coral were measured. We concluded that the δ 18Oc values and Sr/Ca and Mg/Ca ratios of the cultured coral are clearly correlated with T. The linear regression curve is δ18Oc(‰)=δ0.1427δT(°C)δ0.1495(n=18, r=0.955, p<0.0001), and the slope of δ0.1427‰/°C is at the low end of the range of published values(δ0.13–δ0.29‰/°C). The Sr/Ca ratio decreases with increasing T, whereas the Mg/Ca ratio increases with increasing T, indicating a negative correlation between Sr/Ca and Mg/Ca. Their linear regression curves are Sr/Ca(mmol/mol)=δ0.04156δT+10.59(n=15, r=0.789, p<0.005) and Mg/Ca(mmol/mol)= 0.04974δT+2.339(n=17, r=0.457, p<0.05), respectively, which demonstrate that when Mg/Ca and Sr/Ca are increased by one unit, T increases by 5.19°C and decreases by 15.62°C, respectively.
